On the Existence of Optimal Solutions to an Optimal Control Problem   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
In this paper, some results concerning the existence of optimal solutions to an optimal control problem are derived. The problem involves a quasilinear hyperbolic differential equation with boundary condition and a nonlinear integral functional of action. The assumption of convexity, under which the main theorem is proved, is not connected directly with the convexity of the functional of action. In the proof, the implicit function theorem for multimappings is used.Communicated by L. D. Berkovitz  相似文献

The minimax theorem for a convex-concave bifunction is a fundamental theorem in optimization and convex analysis, and has a lot of applications in economics. In the last two decades, a nonconvex extension of this minimax theorem has been well studied under various generalized convexity assumptions. In this note, by exploiting the hidden convexity (joint range convexity) of separable homogeneous polynomials, we establish a nonconvex minimax theorem involving separable homogeneous polynomials. Our result complements the existing study of nonconvex minimax theorem by obtaining easily verifiable conditions for the nonconvex minimax theorem to hold.  相似文献

We introduce several classes of set-valued maps with new generalized convexity properties. We also obtain minimax theorems for set-valued maps which satisfy these convexity assumptions and which are not continuous. Our method consists of the use of a fixed point theorem for weakly naturally quasiconcave set-valued maps, defined on a simplex in a topological vector space, or of a constant selection of quasiconvex set-valued maps.  相似文献

In this paper we describe how one can derive nonlinear convexity theorems which are similar to Kostant's nonlinear convexity theorem for the Iwasawa decomposition from Hamiltonian actions on Poisson Lie groups. Our results generalize those of LU and Ratiu ([24]) and aim at a unified symplectic framework for the convexity theorem in [32] and the linear convexity theorems for coadjoint orbits of convex type in [15].  相似文献

In this paper, we study fractional differential inclusions with Dirichlet boundary conditions. We prove the existence of a solution under both convexity and nonconvexity conditions on the multi-valued right-hand side. The proofs rely on nonlinear alternative Leray–Schauder type, Bressan–Colombo selection theorem and Covitz and Nadler’s fixed point theorem for multi-valued contractions. The compactness of the set solutions and relaxation results is also established. In the last section we consider the fractional boundary value problem with infinite delay.  相似文献

A new continuity theorem of minimum selection is presented for a continuous set-valued operator from a topological space into a Banach space with some uniform convexity. As applications, some problems concerning minimum right inverses for linear operators and minimum fixed points for condensing set-valued nonlinear operators are discussed. We first prove various kinds of expressions for modulus of random convexity by using an L~0(F,R)-valued function's intermediate value theorem and the well known Hahn-Banach theorem for almost surely bounded random linear functionals, then establish some basic properties including continuity for modulus of random convexity. The aim of this paper is to prove the existence of equilibrium for generalized games or abstract economies in contexts where the convexity conditions on strategy spaces and preference correspondences are relaxed and an arbitrary number of agents is considered. The results are based on a fixed-point theorem in which the convexity condition on sets and images of correspondences is replaced by a general notion of abstract convexity, called mc-spaces, generalizing the notions of simplicial convexity, H-spaces, and G-convex spaces.  相似文献

In this work, some new generalized type theorems for generalized mappings with compactly open values are established in topological spaces without any convexity assumptions. As applications, a Ky Fan type matching theorem, fixed point theorem and coincidence theorem are obtained in topological spaces. A convexity on a set X is a family of subsets of X which contains the whole space and the empty set as well as the singletons and which is closed under arbitrary intersections and updirected unions. A uniform convex space is a uniform topological space endowed with a convexity for which the convex hull operator is uniformly continuous. Uniform convex spaces with homotopically trivial polytopes (convex hulls of finite sets) are absolute extensors for the class of metric spaces; if they are completely metrizable then a continuous selection theorem à la Michael holds. In this paper a general theorem on the replacement of the condition “for all λ” in the definition of generalized convexity properties of lower semicontinuous functions by the condition “there exists a λ” is shown.
