Palladium complexes bearing abnormal N-heterocyclic carbene were used as catalysts in Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling of aryl chlorides at 25 °C. The catalyst remained active for 10 successive catalytic runs and can activate 4-chlorotoluene at 25 °C with 0.01 mol% catalyst loading resulting in a TON of 9500 within 6 h.  相似文献

A mixed-halogen bis(1-(4-tert-butylbenzyl)-3-(2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzyl)-1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-ylidene) palladium(II) complex, trans-[Pd(Cl0.7Br0.3)2(C28H32N2)2], has been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and IR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The palladium in the mononuclear complex is four-coordinate in a square-planar configuration with two carbenes of two benzo[d]imidazole rings and two halides. The two halides are disordered between Br and Cl, with the Cl: Br ratio approximately 0.7 : 0.3. The angles C1–Pd1–Br1, 88.63(11)° and C1i–Pd1–Br1i, 91.37(11)° (i: 1?x, 1?y, 1?z) in the coordination sphere are very close to the ideal value of 90°. The Pd–X distance is slightly longer than other carbene derivative Pd–Cl single bond distances and slightly shorter than Pd–Br single bond distances. These results agree with the Cl/Br disorder at the halogen position. The palladium–carbene complex was tested as a catalyst in the direct arylation reaction of benzoxazoles and benzothiazoles with aryl bromides.  相似文献

Density functional theory has been used to investigate various solvated species that may be formed from palladium bis N-heterocyclic carbene complexes, [Pd(cyclo-C{NRCH}2)2], (PdL2) in benzene solution. Formation of an η2-arene complex is shown to stabilise a monocarbene species, PdL(η2-C6H5X), where the arene is either the solvent or a reacting aryl halide. Oxidative addition of an aryl chloride has been modelled, and the most likely transition state has been established as a PdL(arylchloride) species, with just one carbene ligand coordinated to the palladium. The catalytic cycle for aryl amination has been investigated and the oxidative addition of the aryl halide shown to be the rate determining step. Reductive elimination of the aryl amine has a lower activation energy. Oxidative addition of alkyl halides has been shown to be less favourable because of the absence of an unsaturated group, such as the aryl ring, to bond to the palladium.  相似文献

A facile nickel-catalyzed method to achieve the amination of synthetically useful aryl sulfamates and carbamates is reported. Contrary to most Ni-catalyzed amination reactions, this user-friendly approach relies on an air-stable Ni(II) precatalyst, which, when employed with a mild reducing agent, efficiently delivers aminated products in good to excellent yields. The scope of the method is broad with respect to both coupling partners and includes heterocyclic substrates.  相似文献

Pd-N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-catalyzed Buchwald-Hartwig amination protocols mediated by Pd-PEPPSI precatalysts is described. These protocols provide access to a range of hindered and functionalized drug-like aryl amines in high yield with both electron-deficient and electron-rich aryl- and heteroaryl chlorides and bromides. Variations in solvent polarity, base and temperature are tolerated, enhancing the scope and utility of this protocol. A mechanistic rationalization for base strength (pKb) requirements is also provided.  相似文献

A new Chugaev-type palladium carbene complex was prepared via a convenient metal-templated route and fully characterized by X-ray crystallography, NMR, and IR. This complex proved effective as a precatalyst for Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions of a range of aryl bromides, even under aerobic conditions, and its modular synthesis should allow for further catalyst fine-tuning.  相似文献

In the presence of carbon monoxide, ruthenium carbenes give a net insertion/ring expansion (Buchner reaction) into one of the aromatic rings of the N-heterocyclic carbene ligand. In alkene metathesis applications, the N-heterocyclic carbene ligand is both robust and typically inert to reactions with the metal-bound carbene. This unique reaction is completely regioselective. The complexes obtained through ring expansion were fully characterized in the solid state using X-ray crystallography and in solution using NMR and IR spectroscopy.  相似文献

Macroporous polystyrene (MPS)-supported 1-mesitylimidazolium chloride resin was prepared by reacting macroporous chloromethyl polystyrene with 1-mesitylimidazole as a supported N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) precursor for the immobilization of a palladium catalyst. This MPS-supported NHC precursor readily formed a stable complex with Pd(OAc)2, which effectively catalyzed the Suzuki reaction of aryl iodide and bromides at room temperature and even aryl chlorides at elevated temperatures (100 degrees C). This catalyst showed reusability in the Suzuki reaction of aryl bromide.  相似文献

With a view to applications in bifunctional catalysis, a modular cross-coupling strategy has been used to prepare amine bis(imidazolium) salts (3a and 3b) and an amine mono(imidazolium) salt (6) as precursors to chelating amido-NHC ligands. Treating the pro-ligands 3 with 3 equivalents of the bulky base KHMDS and Pd(OAc)(2) or PtCl(2)(COD) gave the four amido bis(N-heterocyclic carbene) pincer complexes [CNC-R]M-I [M = Pd (7) or Pt (8); R = i-Pr (a) or n-Bu (b)], including the first examples of platinum complexes of a CNC ligand. The reaction of 7a with AgOTf in pyridine gave the cationic complex {[CNC-i-Pr]Pd-py}OTf (9a). Heating a mixture of amine mono(imidazolium) salt 6 with PdCl(2) or K(2)PtCl(4), K(2)CO(3) and KI in pyridine at 100 °C gave the complexes [C,NH]MI(2)py [M = Pd (10) or Pt (11)], in which the amine arm of the NHC ligand is not deprotonated and does not coordinate to the metal. For a solution of 10 in 1,4-dioxane, deprotonation of the amine occurred in a biphasic reaction with aqueous KOH at 40 °C, giving the dimeric amido complex {[C,N]Pd(μ-OH)}(2) (12). The more inert Pt analogue 11 was unreactive under the same conditions. Solid-state structures of the complexes 7a, 7b, 9a, 10, 11 and 12 have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction.  相似文献

Three pyrazolyl-functionalized N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) palladium complexes based on 1-[2-(pyrazol-1-yl)phenyl]imidazole have been synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods, and the structures of two of the complexes have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The pyrazolyl-functionalized NHCs act as chelating N,C-bidentate ligands in these three complexes. Catalytic tests have proved that these complexes exhibit highly effective catalytic activity for the Suzuki–Miyaura and Mizoroki–Heck coupling reactions in water or aqueous/organic media under air. The substituents on the pyrazolyl ring exert different influences on the catalytic activity of the complexes in these coupling reactions.  相似文献

Methylpalladium(II) carbene complexes of the type [Pd(NHC)Me(P-P)]BF(4) (NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene, P-P = chelating phosphine) have been synthesised, the complex [Pd(tmiy)Me(dcype)]BF(4) (tmiy = 1,3,4,5-tetramethylimidazol-2-ylidene, dcype = 1,2-bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)ethane) being characterised crystallographically. Complexes bearing the tmiy ligands were shown to decompose in an analogous manner to complexes bearing monodentate phosphine ligands, with the rate of decomposition being nominally linked to the size of the chelate ring. The decomposition of these complexes in the presence of aryl halides-expected to yield Pd(Ar)X(P-P)-was studied and shown instead to yield PdX(2)(P-P) and [Pd(tmiy)X(P-P)]BF(4). Additionally, Pd(Me)X(P-P) and Pd(Ar)X(P-P) were observed in some cases. Intermolecular cross-over reactions between the starting complex and Pd(Ar)X(P-P) were found to be the source of these unexpected products.  相似文献

A series of mixed N-heterocycles/N-heterocyclic carbene palladium(II) allyl complexes with general formula [(NHC)Pd(η3-allyl)]2(μ2-N-heterocycles)(BF4)2 were prepared in one pot based on anion metathesis of (NHC)Pd(η3-allyl)Cl complexes and then ligand replacement with N-heterocycles [N-heterocycles?=?pyrazine (pyz), 4,4′-bipyridine (bpy) and trans-4,4′-bipyridylethylene (bpe)]. The solid-state structures shown dinuclear structures with two palladium(II) centers holding together by bridged N-heterocycles. Initially investigation of the obtained complexes as precatalysts for direct CH bond arylation of azoles with aryl bromides was carried out.  相似文献

The reaction between palladium acetate and IMES.HCl leads to the formation of a novel palladium complex. The X-ray crystal structure analysis reveals that the palladium is C(2) bound to one NHC ligand (the normal binding mode), whereas the second ligand is attached through the C(5) carbon of the second imidazolium. The metalation site on the imidazolium salt is strongly influenced by the presence of base. Furthermore, the binding mode of the NHC to Pd is shown to substantially affect the catalytic behavior of the palladium complexes in cross-coupling reactions.  相似文献

The oxidative addition products trans-[Pd(NHC)(2)(Ar)Cl] (NHC = cyclo-C[N(t)BuCH](2); Ar = Me-4-C(6)H(4), MeO-4-C(6)H(4), CO(2)Me-4-C(6)H(4)) have been isolated in good yields from the reactions of ArCl with the amination precatalyst [Pd(NHC)(2)] and structurally characterized. The former undergo reversible dissociation of one NHC ligand at elevated temperatures, and a value of 25.57 kcal mol(-1) has been determined for the Pd-NHC dissociation enthalpy in the case where Ar = Me-4-C(6)H(4). Detailed kinetic studies have established that the oxidative addition reactions proceed by a dissociative mechanism. Rate data for the oxidation addition of Me-4-C(6)H(4)Cl to [Pd(NHC)(2)] compared to that obtained for the [Pd(NHC)(2)]-catalyzed coupling of morpholine with 4-chlorotoluene are consistent with a rate-determining oxidative addition in the catalytic amination reaction. The relative rates of oxidative addition of the three aryl chlorides to [Pd(NHC)(2)] (CO(2)Me-4-C(6)H(4)Cl > Me-4-C(6)H(4)Cl > MeO-4-C(6)H(4)Cl) reflect the electronic nature of the substituents and also parallel observed trends in coupling efficiency for these aryl halides in aminations.  相似文献
