In this Letter, the entanglement dynamics of two interacting qubits in a common bath and in two independent baths, at finite and zero temperature are investigated. Entanglement sudden death (ESD) and entanglement sudden birth (ESB) are observed when the two qubits are embedded in two independent baths at finite temperature. At zero temperature, the entanglement of the two qubits may evolve to a steady state with non-zero value when the two qubits are embedded in a common bath, the entanglement sudden birth does not occur when the qubits are embedded in two independent baths.  相似文献

The sudden death of entanglement is investigated for non-Markovian dynamic process of a pair interacting flux qubits under a thermal bath. The entangling evolution of the coupled qubits interacting with non-Markov environment is investigated in terms of concurrence. The results show that, for initially two-qubit entangled states, the sudden death of entanglement (ESD) always happens in the thermal reservoir, where the appearance of entanglement sudden death strongly depends on the environment. Especially, ESD of the qubits is easier to occur for non-Markovian process than for Markovian one.  相似文献

In contrast with the entanglement, we study the quantum discord dynamics of the two-qubit system in a symmetry-broken environment consisting of a fermionic bath. The quantum discord decay induced by the bath is analysed. By considering the two qubits that are initially prepared in the different X-states, we find that the behaviors of quantum discord and entanglement are different, the robustness of quantum discord depends on the initial state prepared in.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider the entanglement dynamics of a four-qubit model [2006 Phys. Rev. A 74 042328] where two entangled qubits a and b locally interact with separate qubits A and B via the spin-exchange-like Hamiltonian. We study the effect of purity of initial entangled state of qubits a, b on the entanglement evolution and its relation with energy transfer. Also, we find that the total bipartite entanglement of qubits a, b plus A, B is not a constant any longer when the initial entangled state of a, b is not pure, which is a complement to the result in the paper [2007 J. Phys. B 40 S45] for the pure case.  相似文献

The exact entanglement dynamics of two spin qubits in two independent spin star baths via a Heisenberg XY interaction in the thermodynamic limit has been investigated by using an operator technique. After the Holstein-Primakoff transformation, the transformed Hamiltonian is effectively equivalent to the Hamiltonian of a Jaynes-Cummings model. The results show that the dynamics of the entanglement exhibits strong non-Markovian behavior and depends on the environmental temperature, the coupling strength between the center spin and the bath, the detuning controlled by a locally applied external magnetic field, as well as the initial state of the two qubits.  相似文献

The sudden death of entanglement is investigated for the non-Markovian dynamic process of a pair of interacting flux qubits under a thermal bath. The results show that, for initially two-qubit entangled states, entanglement sudden death (ESD) always happens in the thermal reservoir, where its appearance strongly depends on the environment. In particular, ESD of the qubits occurs more easily for the non-Markovian process than for the Markovian one.  相似文献

Decoherence of interacting two qubits placed under the influence of a common environment is studied by means of the quantum master equation, where the two qubits interact with each other via the XY-coupling and the two-qubit system has the dephasing coupling with the environment. It is shown that when the asymmetry of the interaction between the two-qubit system and environment is not small, the qubit-qubit interaction significantly affects the dephasing of the two-qubit system. To examine such an interaction effect, the decay of two-qubit entanglement is calculated. It is found that the qubit-qubit interaction makes not only the decay of entanglement small but also the period of the oscillatory behaviour short.  相似文献

The correlation dynamics are investigated for various bi-partitions of a composite quantum system consisting of two qubits and two independent and non-identical noisy environments. The two qubits have no direct interaction with each other and locally interact with their environments. Classical and quantum correlations including the entanglement are initially prepared only between the two qubits. We find that contrary to the identical noisy environment case, the quantum correlation transfer direction can be controlled by combining different noisy environments. The amplitude-damping environment determines whether there exists the entanglement transfer among bi-partitions of the system. When one qubit is coupled to an amplitude-damping environment and the other one to a bit-flip one, we find a very interesting result that all the quantum and the classical correlations, and even the entanglement, originally existing between the qubits, can be completely transferred without any loss to the qubit coupled to the bit-flit environment and the amplitude-damping environment. We also notice that it is possible to distinguish the quantum correlation from the classical correlation and the entanglement by combining different noisy environments.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement dynamics of two electronic spins coupled to a bath of nuclear spins for two special cases, one is that two central spins both interact with a common bath, and the other is that one of two spins interacts with a bath. We consider three types of initial states with different correlations between the system and the bath, i.e., quantum correlation, classical correlation, and no-correlation. We show that the initial correlations (no matter quantum correlations or classical correlations) can effectively avoid the occurrence of entanglement sudden death. Irrespective of whether both two spins or only one of the two spins interacts with the bath, the system can gain more entanglement in the process of the time evolution for initial quantum correlations. In addition, we find that the effects of the distribution of coupling constants on entanglement dynamics crucially depend on the initial state of the spin bath.  相似文献

We study the dynamics of multipartite entanglement under decoherence induced by the environment consisting of a fermionic bath. Based on the algebraic measure of entanglement-negativity, we analyze the time evolution of entanglement of both pure states and mixed ones, and find that entanglement evolution depends on both bath temperature and the number of qubits of the system. A linear space SLDF which is dynamically decoupled from the environment is identified in the sense of linear entropy to symbolize the environment effect.  相似文献

A system of two initially entangled qubits interacting with a bosonic environment is considered. The interaction induces a loss of the initial entanglement of the two qubits, and for specific initial states it causes entanglement sudden death. An investigation of the modifications on the entanglement dynamics by a single pulse control field, performed in the two qubit system, shows that the control field can not only protect entangled states against sudden death but also induce a revival of entanglement in the two qubit system.  相似文献

In terms of geometric discord, we study quantum correlations between two qubits interacting with a common heat bath. A necessary and sufficient condition for zero discord for arbitrary two-qubit density matrix is derived. With this condition, we show that a common heat bath can always induce two-qubit quantum correlations if both qubits are initially prepared in arbitrary superposition of “pointer basis”.  相似文献

We study the interaction between a single-mode quantized field and a quantum system composed of two qubits. We suppose that two qubits initially be prepared in the mixed and separable state, and study how entanglement between two qubits arises in the course of evolution according to the Jaynes-Cummings type interaction with nonclassical radiation field. We also investigate the relation between entanglement and purity of qubit subsystem. We show that different photon statistics have different effects on the dynamical behavior of the qubit subsystem. When the qubits are initially prepared in the maximally mixed and separable state, for coherent state field we cannot find entanglement between two qubits; for squeezed state field entanglement between two qubits exists in several short period of time; for even and odd coherent state fields of large photon number, the dynamical behavior of the entanglement between two qubits shows collapse and revival phenomenon. For odd coherent state field of small photon number, the entanglement with both qubits initially prepared in maximally mixed state can be stronger than that with both qubits initially prepared in pure states. For fields of small photon number, the entanglement strongly depends on the states they are initially prepared in. For coherent state field, and odd and even coherent state fields of large photon number, the entanglement only depends on the purity of the initial state of qubit subsystem. We also show that during the evolution the unentangled state may be purer than the entangled state, and the maximum degree of entanglement may not occur at the time when the qubit subsystem is in the purist state.  相似文献

By supposing that the quantum channel is affected by the Hamiltonian XY model, quantum teleportation is studied in the absence and presence of a dissipative environment. We find that the dynamics of the average of fidelity and entanglement of the channel depend on which qubits interact with the environment and magnitude of parameters of the Hamiltonian. In the case that the qubits of quantum channel interact with environment, a critical value of entanglement is needed to keep quantum advantage at infinite time. We also find that, the most destructive case is that the qubit to be teleported is subject to an environment. It is shown that quantum advantage may be lost even in the absence of an environment.  相似文献

We study the entanglement dynamics and relaxation properties of a system of two interacting qubits in the cases of (I) two independent bosonic baths and (II) one common bath. We find that in the case (II) the existence of a decoherence-free subspace (DFS) makes entanglement dynamics very rich. We show that when the system is initially in a state with a component in the DFS the relaxation time is surprisingly long, showing the existence of semi-decoherence free subspaces.  相似文献

By investigating the effect of environmental perturbations on two initially coupled qubits, we find that the interactions between the qubits and between the qubits and the environment are not only the source of decoherence, but also the power of avoiding disentanglement. It is shown that there are the entangled subspaces for four kinds of different coupling ways between the qubits, in which the qubits preserve entanglement all the time. Thus, any new coherent source does not be introduced to preserve entanglement in the entangled subspaces.  相似文献

Two charge qubits being coupled to a damped cavity with different couplings are considered. The dynamical evolution of the entanglement between the two qubits is demonstrated analytically or numerically. It is found that with the cavity dissipation, the steady entanglement between the two qubits can be achieved. The two qubits being initially in the separable and most mixed state can be easily induced to a steady entangled state, and the relative difference of the couplings can be used to enhance the steady entanglement between the two charge qubits.  相似文献

We investigate the entanglement and the nonlocality of two qubits interacting with a thermal reservoir. It is shown that the time behavior of these quantities exhibits a strong dependence on the initial state of two qubits, and that the entanglement and the nonlocality of two qubits can be manipulated by changing the relative phases and the amplitudes of the polarized qubits.  相似文献

Entanglement dynamics of two qubits from environmental perturbations with different initial conditions is investigated. The results show that the qubit-qubit interaction leads to a periodic disentanglement and entanglement. It is surprised that the sudden death of entanglement (ESD) does not happen for non-interacting qubits, but for both the cases of a pure dephasing environment and a normal environment, ESD emerges. The results may provide a useful clue to implement an entanglement quantum information.  相似文献
