This paper deals with the problem of the optimal service rate control in the system with BMAP (Batch Markovian Arrival Process) arrival stream. An algorithm for the computation of the embedded stationary queue length distribution is developed. The procedure for the cost criteria calculation is elaborated for any fixed parameters of the multithreshold control policy. In this article, we consider two discrete‐time risk models, in which dependent structures of the payments and the interest force are considered. Two autoregressive moving‐average (ARMA) models are introduced to model the premiums and rates of interest, and the claims are assumed to be independent. This article reviews various models within the queueing framework which have been suggested for teletraffic data. Such models aim to capture certain stylised features of the data, such as variability of arrival rates, heavy-tailedness of on- and off-periods and long-range dependence in teletraffic transmission. Subexponential distributions constitute a large class of heavy-tailed distributions, and we investigate their (sometimes disastrous) influence within teletraffic models. We demonstrate some of the above effects in an explorative data analysis of Munich Universities’ intranet data. This paper deals with asymptotic behavior for blow‐up solutions to time‐weighted reaction–diffusion equations utu+eαtvp and vtv+eβtuq, subject to homogeneous Dirichlet boundary. The time‐weighted blow‐up rates are defined and obtained by ways of the scaling or auxiliary‐function methods for all α, . Aiding by key inequalities between components of solutions, we give lower pointwise blow‐up profiles for single‐point blow‐up solutions. We also study the solutions of the system with variable exponents instead of constant ones, where blow‐up rates and new blow‐up versus global existence criteria are obtained. Time‐weighted functions influence critical Fujita exponent, critical Fujita coefficient and formulae of blow‐up rates, but they do not limit the order of time‐weighted blow‐up rates and pointwise profile near blow‐up time. This paper considers blow-up solutions for reaction-diffusion equations, complemented by homogeneous Dirichlet boundary conditions. It is proved that there exist initial data such that one block or two (separated or contiguous) blocks of n components blow up simultaneously while the others remain bounded. As a corollary, a necessary and sufficient condition is obtained such that any blow-up must be the case for at least two components blowing up simultaneously. We also show some other exponent regions, where any blow-up of k(∈{1,2,…,n}) components must be simultaneous. Moreover, the corresponding blow-up rates and sets are discussed. The results extend those in Liu and Li [B.C. Liu, F.J. Li, Non-simultaneous blow-up of n components for nonlinear parabolic systems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 356 (2009) 215-231].  相似文献

Better decay estimates to the 1-dimensional Cauchy problem on to the linear equation □u+ut=0 can be discussed under rather restricted conditions on the initial data. Furthermore, as applications we derive the small data global existence result to the equation □u+ut=|u|p−1u, which has the “odd” functions as the initial data. Furthermore, the new method (see R. Ikehata, T. Matsuyama, Sci. Math. Japon. 55 (2002) 33-42) used in the first half will be applied to the problem coming from Ehrenpreis (Sugaku 26 (1974) 168).  相似文献
