An ab initio study has been carried out to determine the structures, relative stabilities, and spin-spin coupling constants of a set of 15 fluoro-substituted 1,3-diborata-2,4-diphosphoniocyclobutanes B(2)P(2)F(n)H(8-n), for n = 0, 1, 2, 4, with four-member B-P-B-P rings. Except for B(2)P(2)F(4)H(4) with four fluorines bonded to two borons, these rings are puckered in a butterfly conformation. For a fixed number of fluorines, the isomers with B-F bonds are significantly more stable than those with P-F bonds. As the number of fluorines increases, the energy difference between the most stable isomer and the other isomers increases. Transition structures which interconvert axial and equatorial positions present relatively small inversion barriers. Coupling constants involving (31)P, namely, (1)J(B-P), (1)J(P-F), (2)J(P-P), (2)J(P-F), and (3)J(P-F) are large and are capable of providing structural information. They are sensitive to the number of fluorines present and can discriminate between axial, equatorial, and geminal B-F and P-F bonds, although not all do this to the same extent. (1)J(B-P) and (2)J(P-P) are similar in equilibrium and transition structures. Although transition structures no longer discriminate between axial and equatorial bonds, (1)J(P-F) and (3)J(P-F) remain sensitive to the number of fluorine atoms present.  相似文献

Properties of dirhodium catalysts with cyclometalated aryl phosphine ligands have been studied. We report here the study of the acid-base reaction of Rh2(RCO2)2(PC)2(H2O)2 catalysts (PC = cyclometalated aryl phosphine) with different Lewis bases. The determination of the equilibrium constants of these reactions can be used to study to which extent the properties of the axial coordination site of the catalyst, considered the active site, are affected by modification of the metalated phosphines, the carboxylate ligands, or the incoming axial ligand. The trends in the computational density functional theory interaction energies show good agreement with the major trends in the equilibrium constants, thus enabling a further study of the influence of the modification of the ligand core.  相似文献

Laser-ablated U atoms react with CO in excess argon to produce CUO, which gives rise to 852.5 and 804.3 cm-1 infrared absorptions for the triplet state CUO(Ar)n complex in solid argon at 7 K. Relativistic density functional calculations show that the CUO(Ar) complex is stable and that up to four or five argon atoms can complex to CUO. When 1-3% Xe is added to the argon/CO reagent mixture, strong absorptions appear at 848.0 and 801.3 cm-1 and dominate new four-band progressions, which increase on annealing to 35-50 K as Xe replaces Ar in the intimate coordination sphere. Analogous spectra are obtained with 1-2% Kr added. This work provides evidence for eight distinct CUO(Ng)n(Ar)4-n (Ng = Kr, Xe, n = 1, 2, 3, 4) complexes and the first characterization of neutral complexes involving four noble-gas atoms on one metal center.  相似文献

The hydrated nucleoside anions, uridine(-)(H(2)O)(n=0-2), cytidine(-)(H(2)O)(n=0-2), and thymidine(-)(H(2)O)(n=0,1), have been prepared in beams and studied by anion photoelectron spectroscopy in order to investigate the effects of a microhydrated environment on parent nucleoside anions. Vertical detachment energies (VDEs) were measured for all eight anions, and from these, estimates were made for five sequential anion hydration energies. Excellent agreement was found between our measured VDE value for thymidine(-)(H(2)O)(1) and its calculated value in the companion article by S. Kim and H. F. Schaefer III.  相似文献

Ab initio MP2/aug'-cc-pVTZ calculations have been carried out to determine the structures and binding energies of homodimers (PHFX)(2) for X = F, Cl, CN, CH(3), and NC. Geometric isomers of these complexes with C(i) symmetry exist, which are differentiated in terms of the nature of the atoms (F-P···P-F, H-P···P-H, or A-P···P-A, with A being the atom of X directly bonded to P), which approach a nearly linear alignment. Of these, isomers having F-P···P-F linear are the most stable. Binding energies, intermolecular distances, and EOM-CCSD spin-spin coupling constants are sensitive to both the nature of X and the atoms that assume the linear alignment.  相似文献

The structure, bonding and energetics of B(2)AlH(n)(m) (n = 3-6, m = -2 to +1) are compared with corresponding homocyclic boron, aluminum analogues and BAl(2)H(n)(m) using density functional theory (DFT). Divalent to hexacoordinated boron and aluminum atoms are found in these species. The geometrical and bonding pattern in B(2)AlH(4)(-) is similar to that for B(2)SiH(4). Species with lone pairs on the divalent boron and aluminum atoms are found to be minima on the potential energy surface of B(2)AlH(3)(2-). A dramatic structural diversity is observed in going from B(3)H(n)(m) to B(2)AlH(n)(m), BAl(2)H(n)(m) and Al(3)H(n)(m) and this is attributable to the preference of lower coordination on aluminum, higher coordination on boron and the higher multicenter bonding capability of boron. The most stable structures of B(3)H(6)(+), B(2)AlH(5) and BAl(2)H(4)(-) and the trihydrogen bridged structure of Al(3)H(3)(2-) show an isostructural relationship, indicating the isolobal analogy between trivalent boron and divalent aluminum anion.  相似文献

Seventy-three unique spin-spin coupling constants have been analyzed for the ten species in the two series X(CH3)nH(4-n), where the central atom X is 13C or 15N+. Thirty-seven experimental values have been obtained from the literature, and several new coupling constants have been measured for the methyl-substituted ammonium ions. Both DFT with the B3LYP functional and ab initio EOM-CCSD calculations have been carried out on these same systems. Coupling constants computed by these two methods are in agreement with experimental values. Some problems related to coupling constants for the cationic ammonium systems have been resolved when these were recomputed at EOM-CCSD for complexes in which NH4+ is hydrogen-bonded to H2O molecules.  相似文献

The ion-contact complexes [{(eta(5)-Cp)(2)Mn(eta(2):eta(5)-Cp)K}(3)]x0.5 THF (1x0.5 THF) and [{(eta(2)-Cp)(2)(eta(2);eta(5)-MeCp)MnK(thf)}]x2 THF (2x2 THF) and ion-separated complexes [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(3)Mn](2) (3), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-Cp)(eta(2)-MeCp)(2)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (4x0.5 THF), [Mg(thf)(6)][(eta(2)-MeCp)(3)Mn)](2)x0.5 THF (5x0.5 THF) and [Li([12]crown-4)](5)[(eta-Cp)(3)Mn](5) (6) (Cp=C(5)H(5), CpMe=C(5)H(4)CH(3)), have been prepared and structurally characterised. The effects of varying the Cp and CpMe ligands in complexes 1-5 have been probed by variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements and EPR spectroscopic studies.  相似文献

We present a theoretical study of the hydrogen abstraction reactions from CH(3)F and CH(2)F(2) by an ozone molecule. The geometries and harmonic vibrational frequencies of all stationary points are calculated at the MPW1K, BHandHLYP, and MPWB1K levels of theory. The energies of all of the stationary points were refined by using both higher-level (denoted as HL) energy calculations and QCISD(T)/6-311++G(2df,2pd) calculations based on the optimized geometries at the MPW1K/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory. The minimum energy paths (MEPs) were obtained by the MPW1K/6-31+G(d,p) level of theory. Energetic information of the points along the MEPs is further refined by the HL method. The rate constants were evaluated on the basis of the MEPs from the HL level of theory in the temperature range 200-2500 K by using the conventional transition-state theory (TST), the canonical variational transition-state theory (CVT), the microcanonical variational transition-state theory (microVT), the CVT coupled with the small-curvature tunneling (SCT) correction (CVT/SCT), and the microVT coupled with the Eckart tunneling correction (microVT/Eckart) based on the ab initio calculations. A general agreement was found among the TST, CVT, and microVT theories. The fitted three-parameter Arrhenius expressions of the calculated forward CVT/SCT and microVT/Eckart rate constants of the ozonolysis of fluoromethane are k(CVT/SCT)(T) = 2.76 x 10(-34)T(5.81)e((-13975/)(T)) and k(microVT/Eckart)(T) = 1.15 x 10(-34)T(5.97)e((-14530.7/)(T)), respectively. The fitted three-parameter Arrhenius expressions of the calculated forward CVT/SCT and microVT/Eckart rate constants of the ozonolysis of difluoromethane are k(CVT/SCT)(T) = 2.29 x 10(-36)T(6.42)e((-15451.6/)(T)) and k(microVT/Eckart)(T) = 1.31 x 10(-36)T(6.45)e((-15465.8/)(T)), respectively.  相似文献

We report on ab initio calculations at the G2(MP2) level of the structures and Al-N(P) bond complexation energies of the (CH(3))(n)H(3)(-)(n)AlNX(3) and (CH(3))(n)H(3)(-)(n)()AlPX(3) (X = H, F, and Cl; n = 0-3) donor-acceptor complexes. For the (CH(3))(3)AlNX(3) and (CH(3))(3)AlPX(3) complexes, the C(3)(v) symmetry is found to be favored, and for the other complexes the C(s) symmetry is found to be favored. The G2(MP2) calculated complexation energies show for the amine ligands the trend NH(3) > NCl(3) > NF(3). A similar trend PH(3) approximately PCl(3) > PF(3) is predicted for the phosphane ligands. The NBO partitioning scheme shows that there is no correlation between the stability and the charge transfer.  相似文献

Reactions of S4N4 with diphosphines, Ph2P(X)PPh2 (X = NC4H8N, CH2CH2) have resulted in the isolation of N3S3? NPPh2(X)Ph2PN? S3N3 (X = NC4H8N, CH2CH2), (S)PPh2(CH2CH2)Ph2PN? S3N3, and (S)PPh2NC4H8NPh2P(S) as new compounds. These heterocycles have been characterized by analytical and spectroscopic (IR, UV-VIS, 1H and 31P-NMR, and MS) techniques.  相似文献

The Tetracyanoboronic Acids H[B(CN)4]·n H2O, n = 0, 1, 2 Treatment of an aqueous solution of Na[B(CN)4] with an acidic cation exchange resin leads to a solution of the strong tetracyanoboronic acid. Evaporation of the solution at room temperature yields colourless single crystals of [H5O2][B(CN)4] ( , a = 9.5830(2) Å, c = 14.25440(3) Å, Z = 1). Further drying of [H5O2][B(CN)4] (mp. 115 °C) in vacuum at 50 °C gives polycrystalline [H3O][B(CN)4] (P63mc, a = 8.704(1) Å, c = 6.152(1) Å, Z = 2), which is thermally stable up to 145 °C. The anhydrous polycrystalline acid H[B(CN)4] is formed quantitatively by reacting Me3SiNCB(CN)3 with gaseous HCl. This acid starts to decompose at 190 °C with loss of HCN. All three acids were further characterized by vibrational spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.  相似文献

Sequential hydration energies of SO4(H2O)(n)2- were obtained from determinations of the equilibrium constants of the following reactions: SO4(H2O)(n)2- = SO4(H2O)(n-1)2- + H2O. The SO4(2-) ions were produced by electrospray and the equilibrium constants Kn,n-1 were determined with a reaction chamber attached to a mass spectrometer. Determinations of Kn,n-1 at different temperatures were used to obtain DeltaG0n,n-1, DeltaH0 n,n-1, and DeltaS0n,n-1 for n = 7 to 19. Interference of the charge separation reaction SO4(H2O)(n)2- = HSO4(H2O)(n-k)- + OH(H2O)(k-1)- at higher temperatures prevented determinations for n < 7. The DeltaS0n,n-1 values obtained are unusually low and this indicates very loose, disordered structures for the n > or = 7 hydrates. The DeltaH0n,n-1 values are compared with theoretical values DeltaEn,n-1, obtained by Wang, Nicholas, and Wang. Rate constant determinations of the dissociation reactions n,n - 1, obtained with the BIRD method by Wong and Williams, showed relatively lower rates for n = 6 and 12, which indicate that these hydrates are more stable. No discontinuities of the DeltaG0n,n-1 values indicating an unusually stable n = 12 hydrate were observed in the present work. Rate constants evaluated from the DeltaG0n,n-1 results also fail to indicate a lower rate for n = 12. An analysis of the conditions used in the two types of experiments indicates that the different results reflect the different energy distributions expected at the dissociation threshold. Higher internal energies prevail in the equilibrium measurements and allow the participation of more disordered transition states in the reaction.  相似文献

The 1H, 13C and 31P NMR data are reported for the (C2H5)3-nPXn compounds (X = Cl, Br, I; n = 0, 1, 2, 3). The chemical shifts are interpreted in terms of inductive and through-space effects of the X substituents together with a rehybridization of the phosphorous atom. Absolute rate constants for the reaction of O(3P) atoms with CH2 = CHF, CH2 = CHCl, and CH2 = CHBr have been obtained at 298 ± 2°K using a modulation phase shift technique. The rate constants (k2 × 10?8 l./mole · sec) obtained are: CH2 = CHF (1.61 ± 0.20), CH2 = CHCl (2.54 ± 0.26), and CH2 = CHBr (2.45 ± 0.25). These rate constants are lower than those determined by discharge flow techniques, but that for CH2 = CHF is in good agreement with relative rate measurements.  相似文献

The reactions between triphenylbismuth, salicylic acid, and the metal alkoxides M(OCH(2)CH(3))(5) (M = Nb, Ta) or Ti[OCH(CH(3))(2)](4) have been investigated under different reaction conditions and in different stoichiometries. Six novel heterobimetallic bismuth alkoxy-carboxylate complexes have been synthesized in good yield as crystalline solids. These include Bi(2)M(2)(sal)(4)(Hsal)(4)(OR)(4) (M = Nb, Ta; R = CH(2)CH(3), CH(CH(3))(2)), Bi(2)Ti(3)(sal)(8)(Hsal)(2), and Bi(2)Ti(4)(O(i)Pr)(sal)(10)(Hsal) (sal = O(2)CC(6)H(4)-2-O; Hsal = O(2)CC(6)H(4)-2-OH). The complexes have been characterized spectroscopically and by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds of the group V transition metals contain metal ratios appropriate for precursors of ferroelectric materials. The molecules exhibit excellent solubility in common organic solvents and good stability against unwanted hydrolysis. The nature of the thermal decomposition of the complexes has been explored by thermogravimetric analysis and powder X-ray diffraction. We have shown that the complexes are converted to the corresponding oxide by heating in an oxygen atmosphere at 500 degrees C. The mass loss of the complexes, as indicated by thermogravimetric analysis, and the resulting unit cell parameters of the oxides are consistent with the formation of the desired heterobimetallic oxide. The complexes decomposed to form the bismuth-rich phases Bi(4)Ti(3)O(12) and Bi(5)Nb(3)O(15) as well as the expected oxides BiMO(4) (M = Nb, Ta) and Bi(2)Ti(4)O(11).  相似文献

Using EPR spectroscopy, the rate constants for the addition of radicals CC13(CH2· CH2)n, (R1 for n=1 and R2 for n=2), CCl3CH2CHCH3 (R3), and CCl3CH2CHCl (R4) to unsaturated compounds CH2=CHX (X=C6H5, COOCH3, CN) and CH2=C(CH3)Y (Y=C6H5, COOCH3) at 22C have been determined. The radicals R1 and R2 exhibit ambiphilic, and R4 electrophilic character towards the selected unsaturated compounds. It has been shown that the presence of the CCl3 group in the -position of the radical center has little effect on the reactivity of the radical. This work deals with a theoretical study of the (CH...C)- hydrogen bonds in CH4, CH3X, and CH2X2 (X = F, Cl) complexed with their homoconjugate and heteroconjugate carbanions. The properties of the complexes are calculated with the B3LYP method using the 6-311++G(d,p) or 6-311++G(2df,2p) basis sets. The deprotonation enthalpies (DPE) of the CH bond or the proton affinities of the carbanions (PA(C-) are calculated as well. All the systems with the exception of the CH4...CHCl2(-) one are characterized by a double minimum potential. In some of the complexes, the (CH(b)...C)- hydrogen bond is linear. In other systems, such as CH3F...CH2F- and CH3F...CHF2(-), there is a large departure from linearity, the systems being stabilized by electrostatic interactions between the nonbonded H of the neutral molecule and the F atom of the carbanion. In the transition state, the (CH(b)...C)- bond is linear, and there is a large contraction of the intermolecular C...C distance. The binding energies vary within a large range, from -1.4 to -11.1 kcal mol(-1) for the stable complexes and -8.6 to -44.1 kcal mol(-1) for the metastable complexes. The energy barriers to proton transfer are between 5 and 20 kcal mol(-1) for the heteroconjugate systems and between 3.8 and 8.3 kcal mol(-1) for the homoconjugate systems. The binding energies of the linear complexes depend exponentially on 1.5DPE - PA(C-), showing that the proton donor is more important than the proton acceptor in determining hydrogen bond strength. The NBO analysis indicates an important electronic reorganization in the two partners. The elongations of the CH bond resulting from the interaction with the carbanion depend on the occupation of the sigma*(CH(b)) antibonding orbitals and on the hybridization of the C bonded to H(b). The frequency shifts of the nu(CH)(A1) stretching vibration range between 15 and 1150 cm(-1). They are linearly correlated to the elongation of the CH(b) bond.  相似文献
