This paper deals with the solutions of fuzzy Volterra integral equations with separable kernel by using fuzzy differential transform method (FDTM). If the equation considered has a solution in terms of the series expansion of known functions, this powerful method catches the exact solution. To this end, we have obtained several new results to solve mentioned problem when FDTM has been applied. In order to show this capability and robustness, some fuzzy Volterra integral equations are solved in detail as numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper presents a new and an efficient method for determining solutions of the linear second kind Volterra integral equations system. In this method, the linear Volterra integral equations system using the Taylor series expansion of the unknown functions transformed to a linear system of ordinary differential equations. For determining boundary conditions we use a new method. This method is effective to approximate solutions of integral equations system with a smooth kernel, and a convolution kernel. An error analysis for the proposed method is provided. And illustrative examples are given to represent the efficiency and the accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

We study the heat, linear Schrödinger (LS), and linear KdV equations in the domain l(t) < x < ∞ , 0 < t < T , with prescribed initial and boundary conditions and with l(t) a given differentiable function. For the first two equations, we show that the unknown Neumann or Dirichlet boundary value can be computed as the solution of a linear Volterra integral equation with an explicit weakly singular kernel. This integral equation can be derived from the formal Fourier integral representation of the solution. For the linear KdV equation we show that the two unknown boundary values can be computed as the solution of a system of linear Volterra integral equations with explicit weakly singular kernels. The derivation in this case makes crucial use of analyticity and certain invariance properties in the complex spectral plane. The above Volterra equations are shown to admit a unique solution.  相似文献

Few numerical methods such as projection methods, time collocation method, trapezoidal Nystrom method, Adomian decomposition method and some else are used for mixed Volterra–Fredholm integral equations. The main purpose of this paper is to use the piecewise constant two-dimensional block-pulse functions (2D-BPFs) and their operational matrices for solving mixed nonlinear Volterra–Fredholm integral equations of the first kind (VFIE). This method leads to a linear system of equations by expanding unknown function as 2D-BPFs with unknown coefficients. The properties of 2D-BPFs are then utilized to evaluate the unknown coefficients. The error analysis and rate of convergence are given. Finally, some numerical examples show the implementation and accuracy of this method.  相似文献

In this article, our main goal is to render an idea to convert a nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integral equation to a non‐singular one by new fractional‐order Legendre functions. The fractional‐order Legendre functions are generated by change of variable on well‐known shifted Legendre polynomials. We consider a general form of singular Volterra integral equation of the second kind. Then the fractional Legendre–Gauss–Lobatto quadratures formula eliminates the singularity of the kernel of the integral equation. Finally, the Legendre pseudospectral method reduces the solution of this problem to the solution of a system of algebraic equations. This method also can be utilized on fractional differential equations as well. The comparison of results of the presented method and other numerical solutions shows the efficiency and accuracy of this method. Also, the obtained maximum error between the results and exact solutions shows that using the present method leads to accurate results and fast convergence for solving nonlinear weakly singular Volterra integral equations. This paper is concerned with the existence and uniqueness of solutions to generalized Volterra integral equations on time scales. Unlike previous papers published on this subject, we can weaken the continuity property of the kernel function since the method we introduce here to guarantee existence and uniqueness does not make use of the Banach fixed point theorem. This allows us to construct a bridge between the solutions of Volterra integral equations and of dynamic equations. The paper also covers results concerning the following concepts: the notion of the resolvent kernel, and its role in the formulation of the solution, the reciprocity property of kernels, Picard iterates, the relation between linear dynamic equations and Volterra integral equations, and some special types of kernels together with several illustrative examples.  相似文献

This paper studies nonlinear 3‐dimensional Volterra integral‐differential equations, by implementing 3‐dimensional block‐pulse functions. First, we prove a theorem and corollary about sufficient condition for the minimum of mean square error under the block pulse coefficients and uniqueness of solution of the nonlinear Volterra integral‐differential equations. Then, we convert the main problem to a nonlinear system to the 3‐dimensional block‐pulse functions. In addition, illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the presented method.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove the existence, uniqueness and the stability of solutions for some nonlinear functional-integral equations by using generalized Lipschitz condition. We prove a fixed point theorem to obtain the mentioned aims in Banach space X:= C([a, b],R). As application we study some Volterra integral equations with linear, nonlinear and singular kernel.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a particular class of two-dimensional singular Volterra integral equations. Firstly we show that these integral equations can indeed arise in practice by considering a diffusion problem with an output flux which is nonlocal in time; this problem is shown to admit an analytic solution in the form of an integral. More crucially, the problem can be re-characterized as an integral equation of this particular class. This example then provides motivation for a more general study: an analytic solution is obtained for the case when the kernel and the forcing function are both unity. This analytic solution, in the form of a series solution, is a variant of the Mittag-Leffler function. As a consequence it is an entire function. A Gronwall lemma is obtained. This then permits a general existence and uniqueness theorem to be proved.  相似文献

The υ-smoothing property of a one-dimensional Volterra integral operator and some projectors (Liang and Brumer, SIAM J. Numer. Anal. 51, 2238–2259 (2013)) are extended for two-dimensional integral-algebraic equations (TIAEs). Using these concepts, we decompose the given general TIAEs into mixed systems of two-dimensional Volterra integral equations (TVIEs) consisting of second- and first-kind TVIEs. Numerical technique based on the Chebyshev polynomial collocation methods is presented for the solution of the mixed TVIE system. Global convergence results are established and the performance of the numerical scheme is illustrated by means of some test problems.  相似文献

In this article, we present the uniform convergence analysis and accuracy estimation of hybrid functions (HFs) method for finding the solution of nonlinear Volterra and Fredholm integral equations. The properties of HFs which consist of block-pulse functions (BPFs) and Legendre polynomials are used to reduce the solution of nonlinear integral equations to the solution of algebraic equations. The superiority and accuracy of the HFs method to BPF and Legendre polynomial methods are illustrated through some numerical examples.  相似文献

In this paper, the weakly singular Volterra integral equations with an infinite set of solutions are investigated. Among the set of solutions only one particular solution is smooth and all others are singular at the origin. The numerical solutions of this class of equations have been a difficult topic to analyze and have received much previous investigation. The aim of this paper is to present a numerical technique for giving the approximate solution to the only smooth solution based on reproducing kernel theory. Applying weighted integral, we provide a new definition for reproducing kernel space and obtain reproducing kernel function. Using the good properties of reproducing kernel function, the only smooth solution is exactly expressed in the form of series. The n-term approximate solution is obtained by truncating the series. Meanwhile, we prove that the derivative of approximation converges to the derivative of exact solution uniformly. The final numerical examples compared with other methods show that the method is efficient.

In this study, an efficient method is presented for solving nonlinear two-dimensional Volterra integral equations (VIEs). Using piecewise constant two-dimensional block-pulse functions (2D-BPFs) and their operational matrix of integration, two-dimensional first kind integral equations reduce to a lower triangular system. The rate of convergence and error analysis are given and numerical examples illustrate efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, we will give some results for developing the two-dimensional differential transform (TDDT) for double integrals. Then the TDDT method will be developed for solving a class of two-dimensional linear and nonlinear Volterra integral equations. We also give some examples to demonstrate the accuracy of the method.  相似文献

We study the blowing-up behavior of solutions of a class of nonlinear integral equations of Volterra type that is connected with parabolic partial differential equations with concentrated nonlinearities. We present some analytic results and, in the case of the kernel of Abel-kind with power nonlinearity and fixed initial data, we give a numerical approximation by using one-point collocation methods.  相似文献

Many important Fredholm integral equations have separable kernels which are finite-rank modifications of Volterra kernels. This class includes Green's functions for Sturm-Liouville and other two-point boundary-value problems for linear ordinary differential operators. It is shown how to construct the Fredholm determinant, resolvent kernel, and eigenfunctions of kernels of this class by solving related Volterra integral equations and finite, linear algebraic systems. Applications to boundary-value problems are discussed, and explicit formulas are given for a simple example. Analytic and numerical approximation procedures for more general problems are indicated. This research was sponsored by the United States Army under Contract No. DAA29-75-C-0024.  相似文献

We suggest a simple method for reducing problems with an integral condition for evolution equations to a Volterra integral equation of the first kind. For Volterra equations of the convolution type, we indicate necessary and sufficient solvability conditions for the case in which the right-hand side lies in some classes of functions of finite smoothness. We use these conditions to construct examples of nonexistence of a local solution for the heat equation with an integral condition.  相似文献

Numerical methods for Volterra integral equations with discontinuous kernel need to be tuned to their peculiar form. Here we propose a version of the trapezoidal direct quadrature method adapted to such a type of equations. In order to delineate its stability properties, we first investigate about the behavior of the solution of a suitable (basic) test equation and then we find out under which hypotheses the trapezoidal direct quadrature method provides numerical solutions which inherit the properties of the continuous problem.  相似文献

It is well known that any Volterra integral equation of the second kind with compact operator is uniquely solvable. Partial integral operators are not compact, even in the general case of continuous kernels. Unique solvability conditions for Volterra partial integral equations of the second kind in the space of continuous functions of three variables are considered. Conditions for a Volterra partial integral equation to be equivalent to a three-dimensional Volterra integral equation with compact operator are obtained. Continuum analogues of matrix equations for some problems of scattering theory are reduced to the Volterra partial integral equations under examination. __________ Translated from Sovremennaya Matematika i Ee Prilozheniya (Contemporary Mathematics and Its Applications), Vol. 38, Suzdal Conference-2004, Part 3, 2006.  相似文献
