The gas‐phase acidities (GA) of 2‐aryl‐2‐chloro‐1,1,1‐trifluoroethanes ( 1a ), 2‐aryl‐2‐fluoro‐1,1,1‐trifluoroethanes ( 2a ), and related compounds, XC6H4CH(Z)R where Z = Cl ( 1 ) or F ( 2 ) and R = C2F5 ( b ), t‐C4F9 ( c ), C(CF3)2C2F5 ( d ), C(CF3)2Me ( e ), Me ( f ), H ( g ), were investigated experimentally and computationally. On the basis of an excellent linear correlation (R2 > 0.99) of acidities of 1c , 1d , 1e , 1f and 2c , 2d , 2e , 2f where there is no fluorine atom at β‐position to the deprotonation site with the corrected number of fluorine atoms contained in the fluorinated alkyl group, the extent of β‐fluorine negative hyperconjugation of the CF3 and C2F5 groups (ΔGoβ‐F) was evaluated. The GAel values given by subtraction ΔGoβ‐F from the apparent GA value were considered to represent the electronic effect of the substituent X. The substituent effects on the GAel values and GA values for 1c , 1d , 1e , 1f and 2c , 2d , 2e , 2f were successfully analyzed in terms of the Yukawa–Tsuno equation. The variation of resonance demand parameter r? with the R group observed for various XC6H4CH(Z)R was linearly related to the GA (GAel) value of the respective phenyl‐substituted fluorinated alkanes. On the other hand, the corresponding correlation for the ρ values provided three lines for ArCH(Cl)R, ArCH(F)R and ArCH2R, respectively. These results supported our previous conclusion that the r? and ρ values are governed by the thermodynamic stability of the parent ion (ring substituent = H). Contrary to the typical nucleophilic substitution, occurring on the sulfur atom of 4‐methyl‐1,2,4‐ triazol‐3‐thiole, the reaction with formaldehyde leads to the formation of the N? C bond rather than the S? C bond. The mechanism of this reaction has been characterized theoretically. Calculations indicate that the reaction proceeds via a cyclic transition state involving one solvent molecule with the Gibbs free activation energy of only 2 kcal/mol. The alternative pathway that leads to the S? C bond formation is about 5 kcal/mol more energetically demanding. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of substituted chlorinated chalcones namely, 3‐(2,4‐dichlorophenyl)‐1‐(4′‐X‐phenyl)‐2‐propen‐1‐one, have been synthesized, X being H, NH2, OMe, Me, F, Cl, CO2Et, CN, and NO2. Dual substituent parameter (DSP) models of 13C NMR chemical shift (CS) have revealed that π‐polarization concept could be utilized to explain the reverse field effect at CO, the enhanced substituent field effect at CO, C‐2, and C‐5, and the decreased sensitivity of substituent field effect at C‐6. Chlorine atoms dipole direction at the benzylidene ring either enhances or reduces substituent effect depending on how they couple with the substituent dipole at the probe site. The correlation of 13C NMR CS of C‐2, C‐5, and C‐6 with σ and σ indicates that chlorine atoms in the benzylidine ring deplete the ring from charges. Both MSP of Hammett and DSP of Taft 13C NMR CS models give similar trends of substituent effects at C‐2, C‐5, and C‐6. However, the former fail to give a significant correlation for CO and C‐6 13C NMR CS. MSP of σq and DSP of Taft and Reynolds models significantly correlated 13C NMR CS of Cβ. MSP of σq fails to correlate C‐1′ 13C NMR CS. Investigation of 13C NMR CS of non‐chlorinated chalcones series: 3‐phenyl‐1‐(4′‐X‐phenyl)‐2‐propen‐1‐one has revealed similar trends of substituent effects as in the chlorinated chalcones series for C‐1′, CO, Cα, and Cβ. In contrast, the substituent effect of the non‐chlorinated chalcone series at C‐2, C‐5, and C‐6 did not correlate with any substituent constant. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

N‐Substituted 4,4‐dimethyl‐4‐silathiane 1‐sulfimides [R = Ph ( 1 ), CF3 ( 2 )] were studied experimentally by variable temperature dynamic NMR spectroscopy. Low temperature 13C NMR spectra of the two compounds revealed the frozen ring inversion process and approximately equal content of the axial and equatorial conformers. Calculations of the 4‐silathiane derivatives 1 , 2 and the model compound [R = Me ( 3 )] as well as their carbon analogs, the similarly N‐substituted thiane 1‐sulfimides [R = Ph ( 4 ), CF3 ( 5 ), Me ( 6 )] at the DFT/B3LYP/6–311G(d,p) level in the gas phase and in chloroform solution using the PCM model at the same level of theory showed a strong dependence of the relative stability of the conformer on the solvent. Synthesis of a bicyclic 2,2‐dioxa oxadiazoline (6,7‐diaza‐1‐methoxy‐5‐methyl‐2,8‐dioxabicyclo[3.2.1]oct‐6‐ene) is reported. Its thermolysis at 27°C is about 200 times as fast as the thermolysis of a monocyclic oxadiazoline model system. Presumably, a cyclic dioxa carbonyl ylide is formed initially and the ylide then undergoes a bond scission to afford either a dioxacarbene or a dialkylcarbene or it cyclizes to an oxirane. A small fraction of a dialkylcarbene was trapped as the product of addition to dimethyl acetylenedicarboxylate (DMAD). Computations of the barriers to the loss of N2 from the oxadiazolines and to the formation of the carbenes from the carbonyl ylide resulting from thermolysis of the bicyclic oxadiazoline are compared to corresponding barriers for a similar monocyclic oxadiazoline. The rate acceleration is accounted for in terms of geometric factors. The complex products from the decomposition of the bicyclic oxadiazoline were not studied. The next‐to‐next‐to‐leading order post‐Newtonian spin‐orbit and spin(1)‐spin(2) Hamiltonians for binary compact objects in general relativity are derived. The Arnowitt‐Deser‐Misner canonical formalism and its generalization to spinning compact objects in general relativity are presented and a fully reduced matter‐only Hamiltonian is obtained. Several simplifications using integrations by parts are discussed. Approximate solutions to the constraints and evolution equations of motion are provided. Technical details of the integration procedures are given including an analysis of the short‐range behavior of the integrands around the sources. The Hamiltonian of a test‐spin moving in a stationary Kerr spacetime is obtained by rather simple approach and used to check parts of the mentioned results. Kinematical consistency checks by using the global (post‐Newtonian approximate) Poincaré algebra are applied. Along the way a self‐contained overview for the computation of the 3PN ADM point‐mass Hamiltonian is provided, too.  相似文献
