In this paper the dynamical theory of elasticity for solids with double porosity is presented. The single-layer and double-layer potentials are constructed and basic properties are established. The uniqueness theorems of the internal and external boundary value problems (BVPs) of steady vibrations are proved. The existence theorems of classical solution of the external BVPs by means of the boundary integral method and the theory of multidimensional singular integral equations are proved. In this article elastic cusped symmetric prismatic shells (i.e., plates of variable thickness with cusped edges) in the zero approximation of I.Vekua's hierarchical models is considered. The well-posedness of the boundary value problems (BVPs) under the reasonable boundary conditions at the cusped edge and given displacements at the non-cusped edge is studied in the case of harmonic vibration. The approach works also for non-symmetric prismatic shells word for word. The classical and weak setting of the BVPs in the case of the zero approximation of hierarchical models is considered. Appropriate weighted functional spaces are introduced. Uniqueness and existence results for the variational problem are proved. The structure of the constructed weighted space is described and its connection with weighted Sobolev spaces is established. Moreover, some sufficient conditions for a linear functional arising in the right-hand side of the variational equation to be bounded are given.  相似文献

Employing the localized integral potentials associated with the Laplace operator, the Dirichlet, Neumann and Robin boundary value problems (BVPs) for general variable-coefficient divergence-form second-order elliptic partial differential equations are reduced to some systems of localized boundary-domain singular integral equations. Equivalence of the integral equations systems to the original BVPs is proved. It is established that the corresponding localized boundary-domain integral operators belong to the Boutet de Monvel algebra of pseudo-differential operators. Applying the Vishik–Eskin theory based on the factorization method, the Fredholm properties and invertibility of the operators are proved in appropriate Sobolev spaces.  相似文献

Nonlinear boundary value problems (BVPs) by means of the classical Lie symmetry method are studied. A new definition of Lie invariance for BVPs is proposed by the generalization of existing those on much wider class of BVPs. A class of two-dimensional nonlinear boundary value problems, modeling the process of melting and evaporation of metals, is studied in details. Using the definition proposed, all possible Lie symmetries and the relevant reductions (with physical meaning) to BVPs for ordinary differential equations are constructed. An example how to construct exact solution of the problem with correctly-specified coefficients is presented and compared with the results of numerical simulations published earlier.  相似文献

Here we discuss three-dimensional so-called basic and mixed boundary value problems (BVP) for steady state oscillations of piecewise homogeneous anisotropic bodies imbedded into an infinite elastic continuum. Uniqueness is shown with the help of generalized Sommerfeld–Kupradze radiation conditions, while existence follows for arbitrary values of the oscillation parameter by the reduction of the original interface transmission BVPs to equivalent uniquely solvable boundary integral or pseudodifferential equations on the interfaces. For the basic BVPs, we show classical regularity and, in addition for the mixed BVPs that the solutions are Hölder continuous with exponent α ∈ (0, 1/2) in the neighbourhood of the curves of discontinuity of the boundary and transmission conditions.  相似文献

Holomorphic families of linear ordinary differential equations on a finite interval with prescribed parameter-dependent boundary conditions are considered from a geometrical viewpoint. The Gardner-Jones bundle, which was introduced for linearized reaction-diffusion equations, is generalized and applied to this abstract class of λ-dependent boundary-value problems, where λ is a complex eigenvalue parameter. The fundamental analytical object of such boundary-value problems (BVPs) is the characteristic determinant, and it is proved that any characteristic determinant on a Jordan curve can be characterized geometrically as the determinant of a transition function associated with the Gardner-Jones bundle. The topology of the bundle, represented by the Chern number, then yields precise information about the number of eigenvalues in a prescribed subset of the complex λ-plane. This result shows that the Gardner-Jones bundle is an intrinsic geometric property of such λ-dependent BVPs. The bundle framework is applied to examples from hydrodynamic stability theory and the linearized complex Ginzburg-Landau equation.  相似文献

This paper investigates the existence of solutions for nonlinear systems of second order, singular boundary value problems (BVPs) with Bohr boundary conditions. A key application that arises from this theory is the famous Thomas–Fermi equations for the model of the atom when it is in a neutral state. The methodology in this paper uses an alternative and equivalent BVP, which is in the class of resonant singular BVPs, and thus this paper obtains novel results by implementing an innovative differential inequality, Lyapunov functions and topological techniques. This approach furnishes new results in the area of singular BVPs for a priori bounds and existence of solutions, where the BVP has unrestricted growth conditions and subject to the Bohr boundary conditions. In addition, the results can be relaxed and hold for the non-singular case too.  相似文献
