A silver Compact Disc Recortable (CD-R) based substrate has been proposed as an alternative to silver colloids as active material successfully used in surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS). Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Energy-Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDXS) measurements revealed that silver nanoparticles are present over the entire surface of the uncovered reflective layer of commonly used CD-R. The process of preparation of the CD-R based surface is simple, fast and repeatable. Recorded Raman spectra of 10 µM Rhodamine 6G applied to the substrate corroborate strong enhancement of Raman signal. The maximum value of EF was calculated to be about 5.76 × 106. Raman maps are consistent with SEM micrographs and confirmed the presence of a numerous SERS hot spots occurring on the trucks of CD-R based substrate.  相似文献

The corrosion resistance of a series of materials (ceramic, beryllium, carbopyroceram) in a niobiumcontaining melt of the composition NaCl–KCl–NaF (10 wt %)–K2NbF7 (8 wt %) was studied. The electrolysis parameters ensuring the deposition of uniform 40–50-µm-thick niobium coatings on spherical carbopyroceram substrates were determined.  相似文献

We report, for the first time, the use of underivatized cyclic olefin copolymer (COC, more specifically: Topas) as the substrate material and the stationary phase for capillary and microchip electrochromatography (CEC), and demonstrate chromatographic separations without the need of coating procedures. Electroosmotic mobility measurements in a 25 microm id Topas capillary showed a significant cathodic EOF that is pH-dependent. The magnitude of the electroosmotic mobility is comparable to that found in glass substrates and other polymeric materials. Open-tubular CEC was employed to baseline-separate three neutral compounds in an underivatized Topas capillary with plate heights ranging from 5.3 to 12.7 microm. The analytes were detected using UV absorbance at 254 nm, thus taking advantage of the optical transparency of Topas at short wavelengths. The fabrication of a Topas-based electrochromatography microchip by nanoimprint lithography is also presented. The microchip has an array of pillars in the separation column to increase the surface area. The smallest features that were successfully imprinted were around 2 microm wide and 5 microm high. No plasma treatment was used during the bonding, thus keeping the surface properties of the native material. An RP microchip electrochromatography separation of three fluorescently labeled amines is demonstrated on the underivatized microchip with plate heights ranging from 3.4 to 22 microm.  相似文献

Kryachko recently published in this journal a formula in which the incomplete Bessel function known as the leaky aquifer function is expanded in Legendre functions of the second kind. While Kryachko's analysis is ingenious, creative, and sound, it unfortunately contains errors that make its key result incorrect. A series of phenylazomethine dendrimers with a triarylamine core (TPA-DPA) were synthesized by dehydration using TiCl4. The complexation of the fourth genereration (G4) TPA-DPA with SnCl2 proceeds in not a random but a stepwise fashion from the core to the terminal imines of the G4 dendrimer. The molecular size of TPA-DPA G4 is larger than that of DPA G4 in THF solution and has a rigid sphere structure like a globular protein. Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) were fabricated, and the EL performances of the devices using the TPA-DPA-metal complexes as the hole-transport materials are drastically increased (ca. 20 times) by metal complexation.  相似文献

The tilt angle of a nematic liquid crystal on a graphite flake was observed to change with increasing numbers of graphite layers. A portion of the substrate that induced homeotropic alignment was covered with graphite flakes, which induced a planar alignment. Nematic liquid crystals placed on the graphite deviated from vertical orientation to the polar angle. The angle of deviation appeared to be proportional to the number of layers and reached a limit, with almost planar alignment, at about 7–8 graphite layers. Although the main contributing factor to the tilt angle change was considered to be the result of van der Waals forces, it was seen that other long-range interaction forces needed to be considered to explain the experimental results obtained.  相似文献

An accurate measurement of a gas concentration in air by diffusive sampling requires knowing the sampling rate. Both the boundary layer between turbulent ambient air and the sampler and the stagnant air layer inside the sampler impose resistance to the transport of analyte into the sampler. As the boundary layer mass transfer resistance is a function of the air speed and direction of the air movement, the sampling rate also depends on these variables. By the procedure developed here, the boundary layer mass transfer resistance was accurately measured as a function of wind speed and direction, and from these data a basic correlation with dimensionless parameters describing mass transfer was obtained. Deviation of air incidence angle and speed during sampling from the calibration conditions may produce a small positive bias, probably not in excess of 10%. Random variation of incidence angle and air speed while the sampler is in use may also contribute to the variability of this sampling method.  相似文献

The 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium (EMIM) cation was found to have constant mobility of 4.5 x 10(-4) cm2 V(-1) s(-1) over the pH range of 3 to 11. The electroosmotic flow of bare silica capillary was reversed by the covalently bonded room-temperature ionic liquid (RTIL) coating. With run buffer of 5 mM EMIM (pH 8.5), NH4+ in human urine was separated from the K+ matrix and was detected to be 0.37 +/- 0.012%. K+, Na+, Li+, Ca2+, Mg2+ and Ba2+ were baseline separated in RTIL-coated capillary with run buffer of 10 mM EMIMOH-acetic acid at pH 5, and the concentration of the above ions in a red wine were detected to be 907, 27.9, 0, 71.0, 83.4 and 31.1 microg/ml, respectively. The RTIL-coated capillary showed stable electroosmotic flow for at least 80 h in the run buffer.  相似文献

A polythiophene derivative bearing TEMPO radical was synthesized by oxidative chemical polymerization of its monomer. The polymer had a high spin density (2.05 × 1021 spins/g of polymer). CV studies of the polymer showed that the electrochemical redox reaction of the TEMPO radicals were completely reversible. We demonstrated, for the first time, construction and charge/discharge characteristics of an organic radical battery utilizing a TEMPO bearing polythiophene based cathode material. The battery had an initial specific discharge capacity of 79 A h/kg (87% of the theoretical capacity) and an average output voltage of 3.6 V. The specific energy capacity initially discharged was 268 W h/kg.  相似文献

We show here that the Kirchhoff index of a network is the average of the Wiener capacities of its vertices. Moreover, we obtain a closed‐form formula for the effective resistance between any pair of vertices when the considered network has some symmetries, which allows us to give the corresponding formulas for the Kirchhoff index. Pd-capped Mg_(78)Y_(22) thin films have been prepared by direct current magnetron co-sputtering system at different substrate temperatures and their electrochemical hydrogen storage properties have been investigated.It is found that rising substrate temperature to 60 ℃ can coarsen the surface of thin film,thus facilitating the diffusion of hydrogen atoms and then enhancing its discharge capacity to ~1725 mAh·g~(-1).Simultaneously,the cyclic stability is effectively improved due to the increased adhesion force between film and substrate as a function of temperature.In addition,the specimen exhibits a very long and flat discharge plateau at about —0.67 V,at which nearly 60%of capacity is maintained.The property is favorable for the application in metal hydride/nickel secondary batteries.The results indicate that rising optimal substrate temperature has a beneficial effect on the electrochemical hydrogen storage of Mg-Y thin films.  相似文献

Nematic liquid crystal alignment capabilities and electro-optical performance characteristics have first been embodied in a ZrO2 layer using ion-beam irradiation. The study demonstrates that liquid crystal layers can be aligned homogeneously as a function of the incident angle of the ion beam device, which causes a uniform dense plasma. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy indicated that full oxidation of the ZrO2 thin-film surfaces was produced by ion irradiation, shifting the Zr 3d spectra to lower binding energies. In addition, the electro-optical performance characteristics of twisted nematic cells on a ZrO2 thin-film layer after ion beam irradiation showed similar characteristics to those of a rubbed polyimide cell.  相似文献
