 研究了利用微波与电子束团的康普顿散射实现太赫兹的方法、光子产额和辐射功率。推导出了单个电子产生的太赫兹的光子产额和辐射功率表达式,也推导出了电子束团产生的太赫兹的光子总产额和辐射总功率表达式。结果发现:利用微波与电子束团发生康普顿垂直散射,可以产生太赫兹皮秒脉冲;单个电子产生的太赫兹光子产额与微波功率、微波波长成正比,与微波束截面积成反比;单个电子产生的太赫兹辐射功率与微波功率、电子Lorentz因子的平方成正比,与微波束截面积成反比;电子束团产生的太赫兹光子总产额与微波功率的平方、微波波长的平方成正比,与微波束截面积的平方成反比;电子束团产生的太赫兹辐射总功率与微波功率的平方、微波波长以及电子Lorentz因子的平方成正比,与微波束截面积的平方成反比。  相似文献

模拟和实验研究了非均匀圆柱形等离子体及阵列对微波的散射作用。利用有限时域差分(FDTD)方法仿真得到了等离子体柱的密度、碰撞频率对微波传播系数的影响,并利用低气压放电产生的等离子体柱对微波的吸收和散射作用进行了验证。结果表明:电子密度中心高、周围低的非均匀等离子体柱可将微波散射至两个侧向;等离子体频率越大,散射的微波功率越强;增加碰撞频率使等离子体柱的微波散射功率减小、吸收增大。等离子体必须具有合适的密度,才能对微波反射产生较大影响。  相似文献

The coherent scattering of a microwave beam is considered as a diagnostic tool for monitoring the penetration of the lower hybrid heating waves in a plasma. A set up using a 2 mm wavelength has been installed on the Wega torus. Preliminary experimental data are reported and discussed. The amplitude of the electron density fluctuations has been found lower than the one we expected. The variation of the wave amplitude as the plasma density varies, qualitatively agrees with a cold plasma electromagnetic theory. The feasibility of the measurements was checked and indications of some improvements to be made in the diagnostic method came out. Some important topics (both theoretical and practical) in scattering experiments on L.H. heating waves are reviewed.  相似文献

The scattering of a well collimated electron beam by a strong standing laser wave of ultrashort duration, giving rise to a great number of scattered photons, is considered. This type of scattering is found to cause an electron beam to divide effectively into two parts. Ultrashort laser pulses are shown to be capable of forming ultrashort electron bunches whose length is governed by the laser beam diameter.  相似文献

Considered is the stimulated Raman scattering of a pump wave by a mildly relativistic electron beam. The electron beam is assumed to be transported along an alternating quadrupole channel. Optimal matched beam solutions are obtained, and the requirement on the beam emittance is identified. Estimations suggest feasibility of the process for an intense THz radiation source.  相似文献

根据两腔振荡器和返波管的特点研制了过模结构返波振荡器, 该器件主要由调制腔和换能腔(慢波结构)两部分组成. 调制腔既是电子束的预调制腔, 也是微波谐振反射腔, 它同换能腔形成一个过模微波谐振腔,经调制腔调制后的电子束在换能腔中实现束波能量转换. 根据加速器的电子束参数(束压为1 MV,束流为20 kA)设计了一个X波段的高功率微波器件,2.5维粒子模拟程序模拟得到微波频率为8.25 GHz,输出功率为5.70 GW. 用超导磁体作为引导磁场,单次运行输出微波功率为5.20 GW,微波频率为(8.25±0. 关键词: 两腔振荡器 返波振荡器 多波切连科夫发生器  相似文献

 以环形电子注驱动的、正弦型周期慢波结构的相对论返波管(RBWO)为模型,理论推导出RBWO慢波结构的色散方程,画出了不包括和包括电子注的色散曲线,然后采用在复平面上绘制等高线图进行逼近的方法对注-波作用不稳定区工作频率的实部和虚部进行了求解,绘出了完整的包括电子注的慢波结构色散关系曲线,并估算了微波的时间增长率和能量转换效率。研究得出:当a(电子注电流参数)较大时,电磁波与慢电荷波的相互作用是不稳定的;而在a较小时,注-波相互作用具有明显的三波作用的特点;微波增长是通过注-波不稳定作用引起的;随着a的增大,微波时间增长率先增大后减小,在a为0.02时有最大值1.37,此时的能量转换效率为19%;增大电子注半径或慢波结构的波纹深度都可以增强注-波不稳定作用。  相似文献

脉冲缩短是高功率微波器件的一个普遍现象,它阻碍了输出微波能量的进一步提高,是高功率微波研究领域中急待解决的问题.以相对论返波管作为研究对象,运用粒子模拟的方法,研究了器件表面的爆炸发射、电子束电压和电流的脉动对输出微波性能的影响,从中得到了一些有益的结论,指出由强电场引起的慢波系统表面的爆炸发射是产生脉冲缩短的重要因素 ,电子束电流和束电压的脉动也会引起脉冲缩短,并提出了相应的克服方法. 关键词: 高功率微波器件 相对论返波管 脉冲缩短 粒子模拟  相似文献

The decrease in the transient time in a relativistic microwave traveling wave oscillator, in which the interaction is carried out between the relativistic electron beam and the fundamental harmonic of the forward-traveling electromagnetic wave slowed down to the speed of light in the hollow slow wave system system, has been numerically and experimentally demonstrated. It is shown that in this mode a high beam-to-wave coupling impedance up to ≈10 Ω is achieved, which ensures reduction of the transient time. In the experiment, a microwave peak power of 210 ± 30 MW at a frequency of 2.45 GHz in a guiding magnetic field of 0.16 T was obtained. The efficiency of the oscillator to convert the power of the electron beam into microwave power was 17 ± 3%. At the beam current pulse duration of about 50 ns the microwave pulse duration was about 20 ns and the transient time was about 22 ns.

A mildly relativistic electron beam (500keV, 200A, 10ns) injected into an X-band rectangular waveguide immersed in a uniform axial magnetic field (4-10kG) produced magnetically tunable microwave radiation in the 9-13 GHz frequency range with an estimated output power of 1MW. The frequency range and tunability of the radiated microwave agreed with a theoretical model for a gyrotron backward wave oscillator taking into account the low energy component of the beam electron.  相似文献

利用二维粒子模拟程序EPOCH验证了超快电子束探针诊断受激拉曼散射产生的静电波的可行性。结果表明,电子束探针穿过静电波电场后会在电子束探针的横向上产生密度调制,密度调制呈周期性分布且沿静电波的传播方向移动,密度调制的波数对应静电波的波数且移动速度对应静电波的相速度,因此特定条件下可用于反推电子的温度、密度等信息。在诊断静电波的过程中,电子束探针的束长必须小于静电波的波长或者诊断设备的曝光时间必须小于静电波的周期。本研究提供了一种新型的直接诊断静电波和电子温度、密度的方法,对于推动受激拉曼散射等激光等离子体不稳定性的实验研究具有重要意义。  相似文献

The exact analytical solution for the scattering of a generalized (or “hollow”) acoustic Bessel beam in water by an elastic sphere centered on the beam is presented. The far-field acoustic scattering field is expressed as a partial wave series involving the scattering angle relative to the beam axis and the half-conical angle of the wave vector components of the generalized Bessel beam. The sphere is assumed to have isotropic elastic material properties so that the nth partial wave amplitude for plane wave scattering is proportional to a known partial-wave coefficient. The transverse acoustic scattering field is investigated versus the dimensionless parameter ka(k is the wave vector, a radius of the sphere) as well as the polar angle θ for a specific dimensionless frequency and half-cone angle β. For higher-order generalized beams, the acoustic scattering vanishes in the backward (θ = π) and forward (θ = 0) directions along the beam axis. Moreover it is possible to suppress the excitation of certain resonances of an elastic sphere by appropriate selection of the generalized Bessel beam parameters.  相似文献

In this paper is demonstrated the effect of microwave beam polarization on the thermal generation of acoustic waves in continuous fiber-reinforced composite laminates. It is found that beam polarization strongly influences the dielectric interaction that leads to thermal losses, bulk expansion, and acoustic wave generation. The oriented graphite fibers in the composite laminate effectively short the microwave fields and reduce the generation efficiency nearly to zero. Ultrasonic waves at several hundred kHz generated in the composite are detected by air-coupled acoustic transducers located on the opposite side of the plate specimen from the 9.41 GHz incident microwave beam. With some averaging signal-to-noise ratios of better than 26 dB are obtained. Applying a conventional model of electromagnetic wave scattering in anisotropic media to this experiment yields good agreement between calculations and measured data. Implications for microwave-acoustic testing of graphite-reinforced composites are also discussed.  相似文献

The exact scattering by a sphere centered on a Bessel beam is expressed as a partial wave series involving the scattering angle relative to the beam axis and the conical angle of the wave vector components of the Bessel beam. The sphere is assumed to have isotropic material properties so that the nth partial wave amplitude for plane wave scattering is proportional to a known partial-wave coefficient. The scattered partial waves in the Bessel beam case are also proportional to the same partial-wave coefficient but now the weighting factor depends on the properties of the Bessel beam. When the wavenumber-radius product ka is large, for rigid or soft spheres the scattering is peaked in the backward and forward directions along the beam axis as well as in the direction of the conical angle. These properties are geometrically explained and some symmetry properties are noted. The formulation is also suitable for elastic and fluid spheres. 为了实现高功率微波发生器的小型化,开展了S波段低磁场相对论返波振荡器工作特性的研究工作。由于S波段返波振荡器频率低,对应的电子回旋共振磁场强度也很低,因此低磁场条件下面临着电子束传输效率低和束波互作用效率低两大问题。为解决上述问题,采取下列措施:通过加大电子束与器件内壁的距离,提高电子束传输效率;采用较深的慢波结构作为提取腔,实现高束波互作用阻抗;提取腔前采用浅深度慢波结构,使提取腔区域的电子速度与微波相速同步。粒子模拟证明,以上措施有效,在引导磁场强度仅为0.17 T、电子束电压435 kV、电流6.5 kA的条件下,该返波管获得功率为670 MW、效率约为25%的输出微波。相对于常规S波段相对论返波振荡器的磁场系统(B=0.8 T),适用于该返波管的0.17 T低强度磁场系统螺线管外半径下降了20%,能耗下降了约93.8%。  相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of self-focusing of Gaussian laser beam in collisionless plasma and its effect on stimulated Raman scattering process. The pump beam interacts with a pre-excited electron plasma wave thereby generating a back-scattered wave. On account of Gaussian intensity distribution of laser beam, the time independent component of the ponderomotive force along a direction perpendicular to the beam propagation becomes finite, which modifies the background plasma density profile in a direction transverse to pump beam axis. This modification in density affects the incident laser beam, electron plasma wave and back-scattered beam. We have set up the non-linear differential equations for the beam width parameters of the main beam, electron plasma wave, back-scattered wave and SRS-reflectivity by taking full non-linear part of the dielectric constant of collisionless plasma with the help of moment theory approach. It is observed from the analysis that focusing of waves greatly enhances the SRS reflectivity.  相似文献

The generation of ultrashort superradiant pulses in the stimulated scattering of an intense microwave (38 GHz) pump wave by a counterpropagating high-current relativistic electron bunch has been observed. Scattered radiation is a single ~200-ps pulse with a peak power of about 1 MW. Owing to the Doppler shift of the radiation frequency, frequencies up to 150 GHz are present in the spectrum of the scattered pulse.  相似文献
