设计了一种基于LiNbO_3的长周期波导光栅可调谐耦合器.该耦合器利用长周期光栅的独有特性将输入波导的导模经包层模耦合至输出波导导模.由于LiNbO_3的电光效应,波导光栅芯层与包层的有效折射率随外加电压变化,从而耦合器的谐振波长及耦合效率可由外加电压调谐.分析了光栅周期与耦合器的长度对耦合器带宽和耦合效率调谐范围的影响,以及波导尺寸对谐振波长调谐灵敏度的影响.结果表明光栅周期越短,耦合器长度越长,则耦合器的带宽越窄,耦合效率调谐范围也越大.此外,谐振波长调谐灵敏度随波导宽度的增加而减小,而波导厚度对谐振波长调谐灵敏度的影响可以忽略.对光栅周期为94μm、长度为3.52cm的耦合器进行仿真,结果表明,谐振波长灵敏度为26.2pm/V,3dB带宽可达4.5nm,当外加电压从0变化到200V时,谐振波长变化5.24nm,耦合效率可在1到0.15之间进行调谐.  相似文献

从阵列波导光栅的光栅方程入手,分析了聚合物阵列波导光栅采用电.光效应进行波长调谐的原理,提出了具有单推挽结构和双推挽结构的电.光波长可调谐滤波器.并用Optiwave软件分别对无推挽结构和推挽结构波长调谐器进行了计算机仿真.结果表明:当外加电压从-100 V 增加到+100 V 时,前者的波长调谐范围约为5 nm,而后者中,单推挽结构的波长调谐范围为约10 nm,双推挽结构的波长调谐范围可达20 nm.  相似文献

提出并设计了快速可调谐电光聚合物波导光栅.该波导光栅通过极化聚合物的线性电光效应 可实现谐振波长的纳秒级快速调谐,调谐灵敏度为61pm/V.研究了该波导光栅的反射谱和透 射谱特性与光栅周期,周期数,折射率调制函数及其调制大小的关系.讨论了波导光栅的材料 选择,制备工艺,快速可调谐性和偏振相关性.该波导光栅不仅克服了光纤光栅调谐速度慢和不利于大规模集成的不足,而且具有调谐灵敏度高,制备工艺与半导体工艺兼容和偏振无关 等优点. 关键词: 光通信器件 光波导 电光效应 聚合物 波导光栅 光纤光栅  相似文献

本文报道了一种基于光纤光栅的波长可调谐光分插复用器.可连续线性调谐5.3nm来选择不同的信道进行上下载信息.用宽带光源对该器件的性能进行了测试;用该器件在4波长全光纤激光器作信号源的光纤通信传输实验系统中做了解复用实验.实验表明该器件能很好地下载光信号,相邻信道隔离度达到29dB,具有一定的应用价值.  相似文献

Dynamic add-drop filters with variable bandwidth are demonstrated on microelectromechanical-system (MEMS)-actuated microdisk resonators for what is believed to be the first time. The tuning mechanism is based on a variable power coupling ratio that is controlled by varying the gap spacing between the waveguide and the microdisk through MEMS actuators. The results show wavelength switching with an extinction ratio of 20 dB and a tunable bandwidth ranging from 12 to 27 GHz. These dual functions were realized using the device with the operation voltage varying between 0 and 35 V.  相似文献

We report a tunable add/drop channel coupler based on an acousto-optic tunable filter and a tapered fiber. The coupling efficiency and central wavelength of the add/drop channel coupler are tunable by simply tuning the power and frequency of the driving radio frequency signal. The dimensions of input waveguide and output waveguide of arrayed waveguide gratings (AWGs) determine the crosstalk, insertion loss and 1-dB bandwidth. In cascaded optical add/drop multiplexers (OADMs), the value of these parameters will largely affect the power penalty of system. The power penalty of cascaded OADMs is calculated with different waveguide dimensions of AWGs in this paper. Considering of wavelength misalignment, an optimization design of AWGs is obtained.  相似文献

A compact wavelength demultiplexing structure based on arrayed metal-insulator-metal (MIM) slot cavities is proposed and demonstrated numerically. The structure consists of a bus waveguide perpendicularly coupled with a series of slot cavities, each of which captures SPPs at the resonance frequency from the bus waveguide and tunes the transmission wavelength by changing its geometrical parameters. A cavity theory model is used to design the operating wavelengths of the structure. Moreover, single band transmission of each channel and the adjustable transmission bandwidth can be obtained by altering the drop waveguide positions and the coupling distance. The proposed arrayed slot cavity-based structure could be utilized to develop ultracompact optical wavelength demultiplexing device for large-scale photonic integration.  相似文献

Abstract

?olc-type wavelength filters have been demonstrated in a 52-mm long periodically poled titanium-diffused lithium niobate channel waveguide with a domain period of 16.6 μm. At room temperature, the center wavelength and the full-width at half maximum of the filter were about 1,272.49 nm and 0.23 nm, respectively. The nearest side-lobe is about 7 dB. New structures of flat-top bandpass filters and an optical add/drop multiplexer utilizing ?olc-type TE?TM mode converters are proposed for the first time.  相似文献

An integrated tunable optical filter (TOF) based on thermo-optic effect in silicon on insulator (SOI) rib waveguide is designed and simulated. The device is comprised of two high refractivity contrast Si/Air stacks, functioning as high reflectivity of DBRs (distributed Bragg reflectors) and separating by a variable refractive index polymer Fabry–Perot (F–P) cavity. The designed device exhibits Q = 24077, FWHM = 0.065 nm and finesse = 566. Wavelength tuning is achieved through thermal modulation of refractive variation of the cavity. As the cavity polymer is heated, the refractive index of the cavity decreases. When the temperature of cavity polymer changes within 105, the central wavelength gets a continuous 35 nm shift from 1530 nm to 1565 nm, which can operate the whole C-band in the WDM (wavelength division multiplexing) networks. Moreover, by calculating, the tuning sensitivity is about 0.33 nm/°C. Owing to the compact size and excellent characteristics of integration, the proposed component has a promising utilization in spectroscopy and optical communication.  相似文献

In this paper, two dimensional photonic crystal, based eight-channel demultiplexer is proposed and designed for DWDM applications. The performance parameters of the demultiplexer such as transmission efficiency, channel spacing, spectral line width, Q factor, and crosstalk have been evaluated. The proposed demultiplexer comprises of bus waveguide, drop waveguide and parellogram resonant cavity (PRC). The bus waveguide transmits light to the PRC and exits through respective drop waveguide. The PRC consists of a parellogram resonator with a nano ring cavity that is used for dropping eight specific wavelength for ITU-T G 694.1 standard with 50 GHz channel spacing. The circular ring resonator is placed above the PRC wherein a resonant air hole (Cr) is positioned for desired channel selection. The channel selection is done by altering the radius of the air hole. In addition, a conjugate radiant neural network is implemented for optimizing the radii of resonant air holes to select the required channel wavelength. The proposed device is very compact and it could be considered for implementing the photonic integrated circuits.  相似文献

A novel three-port channel add/drop filter consisting of two waveguides and two cavities is proposed. One is used for a resonant tunneling-based channel add/drop operation from the bus waveguide to the add/drop waveguide, while the other is used to realize the wavelength-selective reflection feedback in the bus waveguide. By means of coupled mode theory in time, the conditions to achieve 100% add efficiency are derived thoroughly. Based on these theoretical analysis, the channel add filter and some other multi-channel filters are designed in two-dimensional photonic crystals (2D PCs) with square lattice of dielectric rods in air. The numerical results by using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method demonstrate almost complete channel add/drop tunneling at resonance via the three-port systems.  相似文献

A channel-switching optical add/drop multiplexer with tunable fiber Bragg grating tuned by equivalent-intensity cantilever beam is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The no-chirped linearly tuning range is about 6.1 nm, which enables it to add or drop 8 channels with channel spacing 100 GHz. It is used in a 4-channel WDM system to test its capability. The adjacent channel isolation is not less than 24 dB. 4-channel lasers modulated by 1.2 Gb/s Non-Return-to-Zero format (NRZ), \{Return-to-Zero\} format (RZ) and 2.5 GHz analogue signals are dropped by the device after transmission over 100 km and the results are given.  相似文献

通过一道光改变另一道光的传输路线是光子集成网络中重要而长远的目标, 然而, 由于硅材料的光学非线性较弱, 在硅材料上实现开关的全光控制难以实现. 因此本文提出了一种由光梯度力驱动的纳米硅基光开关, 实现了硅基光开关的全光控制. 该光开关由一个部分悬空的微环谐振器和一个交叉波导结构构成, 当通入一道控制光时, 悬空的微环谐振器在光梯度力的作用下发生弯曲, 微环谐振器的谐振波长随之发生变化, 从而实现光信号的传输路线发生改变. 该光开关利用纳米光子制造技术在标准绝缘体上硅晶圆上制造, 实验数据得出其最小消光比为10.67 dB, 最大串扰为 -11.01 dB, 开关时间分别为180 ns和170 ns. 该光开关具有尺寸小, 响应速度快, 低损耗和可拓展等优点, 在片上集成光路、高速信号处理以及下一代光纤通信网络中具有潜在应用.  相似文献

Amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) in an organic-dye- (DCM-) doped poly(methyl methacrylate)/silica-gel hybrid material planar waveguide was investigated. ASE wavelength control and tuning in a wedge waveguide were realized. The tuning range of the waveguide can reach as much as 30 nm. Electro-optical tuning of a microring resonator fabricated on lithium niobate (LiNbO3) is presented. The device structure, including microring resonator and couplers, is designed in detail and is produced by titanium diffusion on the wet-etched LiNbO3 ridge surface. The resonance wavelengths for TM and TE polarizations can be tuned by electro-optic effect. The output characteristics of through port and drop port in the microring resonators are measured, and the effect of applied voltage on the shift of resonant wavelength is discussed. The presented microring resonators have the features of fast tuning speed, high material stability, bidirection wavelength shift, and no heating interference. Realization of such a microring resonator on LiNbO3 makes the utilization of electro-optic tuning and nonlinear effects in the versatile photonic applications of microring resonators achievable.  相似文献

采用二维正方排列的光子晶体,根据微腔缺陷模和波导模共振耦合原理,设计了一种新型的多信道下载滤波器,该滤波器通过主波导、90°弯波导和共振微腔的组合,提高了各个信道下载波导的下载效率。利用二维时域有限差分法模拟了滤波器的传输特性,并理论分析了影响下载效率的因素,进一步对滤波器进行了优化,使得各信道下载波导的下载效率均在91%以上。模拟结果表明该滤波器能有效地实现光波的分波下载,传输谱信道波长间隔约为20nm,中心波长误差为±2nm,传输谱的最大半宽度为3.2nm,有良好的波长选择性,证实了增大下载波导和共振微腔的耦合区域可以有效地提高滤波器的下载效率。  相似文献

A bandwidth-tunable optical passband filter with tunable attenuation is proposed. The filter, composed of a transmission liquid crystal array and high-resolution diffraction grating, was successfully demonstrated based on the compact spatial light design. Experimental results showed that the bandwidth, wavelength, and attenuation could be tuned by controlling the voltage applied on the liquid crystal array. The insertion loss was less than 3 dB;the attenuation tuning range was from 0 to 15 dB. The bandwidth tuning range was from 50 to 5000 GHz, which covered the full C band. The filter can meet the technical requirements of colorless-directionless-contentionlessflexible reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer.  相似文献
