使用算子分块矩阵的技巧,研究了shorted算子,揭示了任意一个正算子和它的shorted算子之间的几何结构关系.此外,对由一个自伴算子A和一个闭子空间S组成的元素对(A,S)的兼容性(compatibility)进行了研究.特别地,当A是正算子时得出了集合∏(A,S)={Q∈∏:R(Q)=S⊥,AQ=Q*A}非空的充要条件;并且对集合∏(A,S)进行了详细的刻化,这里∏和S⊥分别表示一个复Hilbert空间上的所有幂等算子构成的集合和子空间S的正交补空间.  相似文献

We consider a certain class of Herglotz-Nevanlinna matrix-valued functions which can be realized as the Weyl-Titchmarsh matrix-valued function of some symmetric operator and its self-adjoint extension. New properties of Weyl-Titchmarsh matrix-valued functions as well as a new version of the functional model for such realizations are presented. In the case of periodic Herglotz-Nevanlinna matrix-valued functions, we provide a complete characterization of their realizations in terms of the corresponding functional model. We also obtain properties of a symmetric operator and its self-adjoint extension which generate a periodic Weyl-Titchmarsh matrix-valued function. We study pairs of operators (a symmetric operator and its self-adjoint extension) with constant Weyl-Titchmarsh matrix-valued functions and establish connections between such pairs of operators and representations of the canonical commutation relations for unitary groups of operators in Weyl's form. As a consequence of such an approach, we obtain the Stone-von Neumann theorem for two unitary groups of operators satisfying the commutation relations as well as some extension and refinement of the classical functional model for generators of those groups. Our examples include multiplication operators in weighted spaces, first and second order differential operators, as well as the Schrödinger operator with linear potential and its perturbation by bounded periodic potential.  相似文献

Starting with the Segal-Bargmann space, we investigate the Hankel operators with symbol functions in a certain linear space. Given an appropriate symbol function, we consider the associated Hankel operator together with the Hankel operator associated with that symbol function's complex conjugate. We give a necessary and sufficient condition for the simultaneous membership of these two operators in the symmetrically-normed ideal associated with any given symmetric norming function.  相似文献

The object of this paper is threefold. First, we investigate in a Hilbert space setting the utility of approximate source conditions in the method of Tikhonov–Phillips regularization for linear ill‐posed operator equations. We introduce distance functions measuring the violation of canonical source conditions and derive convergence rates for regularized solutions based on those functions. Moreover, such distance functions are verified for simple multiplication operators in L2(0, 1). The second aim of this paper is to emphasize that multiplication operators play some interesting role in inverse problem theory. In this context, we give examples of non‐linear inverse problems in natural sciences and stochastic finance that can be written as non‐linear operator equations in L2(0, 1), for which the forward operator is a composition of a linear integration operator and a non‐linear superposition operator. The Fréchet derivative of such a forward operator is a composition of a compact integration and a non‐compact multiplication operator. If the multiplier function defining the multiplication operator has zeros, then for the linearization an additional ill‐posedness factor arises. By considering the structure of canonical source conditions for the linearized problem it could be expected that different decay rates of multiplier functions near a zero, for example the decay as a power or as an exponential function, would lead to completely different ill‐posedness situations. As third we apply the results on approximate source conditions to such composite linear problems in L2(0, 1) and indicate that only integrals of multiplier functions and not the specific character of the decay of multiplier functions in a neighbourhood of a zero determine the convergence behaviour of regularized solutions. A well-known theorem factors a scalar coefficient differential operator given a linearly independent set of functions in its kernel. The goal of this paper is to generalize this useful result to other types of operators. In place of the derivation ? acting on some ring of functions, this paper considers the more general situation of an endomorphism 𝔇 acting on a unital associative algebra. The operators considered, analogous to differential operators, are those which can be written as a finite sum of powers of 𝔇 followed by left multiplication by elements of the algebra. Assume that the set of such operators is closed under multiplication and that a Wronski-like matrix produced from some finite list of elements of the algebra is invertible (analogous to the linear independence condition). Then, it is shown that the set of operators whose kernels contain all of those elements is the left ideal generated by an explicitly given operator. In other words, an operator has those elements in its kernel if and only if it has that generator as a right factor. Three examples demonstrate the application of this result in different contexts, including one in which 𝔇 is an automorphism of finite order.  相似文献

本文引进Banach空间E的一个全新对偶空间概念—Lipschitz对偶空间,并证明:任何Banach空间的Lipschitz对偶空间是某个包含E的Banach空间的线性对偶空间,以所引进的新对偶空间为框架,本文定义了非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipshitz对偶算子,证明:任何非线性Lipschitz算子的Lipschitz对偶算子是有界线性算子.所获结果为推广线性算子理论到非线性情形(特别,运用线性算子理论研究非线性算子的特性)开辟了一条新的途径.作为例证,我们应用所建立的理论证明了若干新的非线性一致Lipschitz映象遍历收敛性定理.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the space of all compact adjoint operators from dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces and approximation properties. For some topology on the space of all bounded linear operators from separable dual spaces of Banach spaces into dual spaces of Banach spaces, it is shown that if a bounded linear operator is approximated by a net of compact adjoint operators, then the operator can be approximated by a sequence of compact adjoint operators whose operator norms are less than or equal to the operator norm of the operator. Also we obtain applications of the theory and, in particular, apply the theory to approximation properties.  相似文献

Assume that G is a nonempty open subset of the complex plane and that T is an operator on the linear space of holomorphic functions in G, endowed with the compact-open topology. In this paper we introduce the notions of strongly omnipresent operator and of T-monster, which are related to the wild behaviour of certain holomorphic functions near the boundary of G. T-monsters extend a concept introduced by W. Luh and K.-G. Grosse-Erdmann. After showing that T is strongly omnipresent if and only if the set of T-monsters is residual, it is proved in this paper that certain kinds of infinite order differential and antidifferential operators are strongly omnipresent, which improves some earlier nice results due to the mentioned authors.  相似文献

We introduce the notion of Lipschitz compact (weakly compact, finite-rank, approximable) operators from a pointed metric space X into a Banach space E. We prove that every strongly Lipschitz p-nuclear operator is Lipschitz compact and every strongly Lipschitz p-integral operator is Lipschitz weakly compact. A theory of Lipschitz compact (weakly compact, finite-rank) operators which closely parallels the theory for linear operators is developed. In terms of the Lipschitz transpose map of a Lipschitz operator, we state Lipschitz versions of Schauder type theorems on the (weak) compactness of the adjoint of a (weakly) compact linear operator.  相似文献

In this paper, we first give the definition of possibly non-unital function system, which is a characterization of the self-adjoint subspace of the space of continuous functions on a compact Hausdorff space with the induced order and norm structure. Similar to operator system case, we define the unitalization of a possibly non-unital function system. Then we construct two possibly non-unital operator system structures on a given possibly non-unital function system, which are the analogues of minimal and maximal operator spaces on a normed space. These two structures have many interesting relations with the minimal and maximal operator system structures on a given function system.  相似文献
