We give some integral representations of the form f(x) = P(f)+K(?f) on two-step Carnot groups, where P(f) is a polynomial and K is an integral operator with a specific singularity. We then obtain the weak Poincaré inequality and coercive estimates as well as the generalized Poincaré inequality on the general Carnot groups.  相似文献

We obtain some integral representations of the form f(x) = P(f) + K(?f) on the Carnot groups, where P(f) is a polynomial and K is an integral operator with a specific singularity. These representations are employed to prove the weak Poincaré inequality.  相似文献

We consider resonances for a h-pseudo-differential operator H(x, hD x; h) induced by a periodic orbit of hyperbolic type. We generalize the framework of Gérard and Sjöstrand, in the sense that we allow hyperbolic and elliptic eigenvalues of the Poincarémap, and look for so-called semi-excited resonances with imaginary part of magnitude ?h log h, or h δ, with 0 < δ < 1.  相似文献

We suggest new methods for the solution of a periodic problem for a nonlinear object described by the differential inclusion x′(t) ∈ F(t, xt) under the assumption that the multimapping F has convex compact values and satisfies the upper Carathéodory conditions. We also study the case in which this multimapping is not convex-valued but is normal. The class of normal multimappings includes, for example, bounded almost lower semicontinuous multimappings with compact values and mappings satisfying the Carathéodory conditions. In both cases, a generalized integral guiding function is used to study the problem.  相似文献

Let J be the Lévy density of a symmetric Lévy process in \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\) with its Lévy exponent satisfying a weak lower scaling condition at infinity. Consider the non-symmetric and non-local operator
$$\mathcal{L}^{\kappa}f(x):= \lim_{{\varepsilon} \downarrow 0} {\int}_{\{z \in \mathbb{R}^{d}: |z|>{\varepsilon}\}} (f(x+z)-f(x))\kappa(x,z)J(z)\, dz\, , $$
where κ(x, z) is a Borel function on \(\mathbb {R}^{d}\times \mathbb {R}^{d}\) satisfying 0 < κ 0κ(x, z) ≤ κ 1, κ(x, z) = κ(x,?z) and |κ(x, z) ? κ(y, z)|≤ κ 2|x ? y| β for some β ∈ (0, 1]. We construct the heat kernel p κ (t, x, y) of \(\mathcal {L}^{\kappa }\), establish its upper bound as well as its fractional derivative and gradient estimates. Under an additional weak upper scaling condition at infinity, we also establish a lower bound for the heat kernel p κ .

We give explicit formulae for the continuous Hochschild and cyclic homology and cohomology of certain \(\hat \otimes\)-algebras. We use well-developed homological techniques together with some niceties of the theory of locally convex spaces to generalize the results known in the case of Banach algebras and their inverse limits to wider classes of topological algebras. To this end we show that, for a continuous morphism ?: xy of complexes of complete nuclear DF-spaces, the isomorphism of cohomology groups H n(?): H n (x) → H n (y) is automatically topological. The continuous cyclic-type homology and cohomology are described up to topological isomorphism for the following classes of biprojective \(\hat \otimes\)-algebras: the tensor algebra E \(\hat \otimes\) F generated by the duality (E,F,<·,·>) for nuclear Fréchet spaces E and F or for nuclear DF-spaces E and F; nuclear biprojective Köthe algebras λ(P) which are Fréchet spaces or DF-spaces; the algebra of distributions ε*(G) on a compact Lie group G.  相似文献

A method for computing the eigenvalues λ mn (b, c) and the eigenfunctions of the Coulomb spheroidal wave equation is proposed in the case of complex parameters b and c. The solution is represented as a combination of power series expansions that are then matched at a single point. An extensive numerical analysis shows that certain b s and c s are second-order branch points for λ mn (b, c) with different indices n 1 and n 2, so that the eigenvalues at these points are double. Padé approximants, quadratic Hermite-Padé approximants, the finite element method, and the generalized Newton method are used to compute the branch points b s and c s and the double eigenvalues to high accuracy. A large number of these singular points are calculated.  相似文献

We obtain bivariate forms of Gumbel’s, Fréchet’s and Chung’s linear inequalities for P(Su, Tv) in terms of the bivariate binomial moments {S i, j }, 1 ≤ ik,1 ≤ jl of the joint distribution of (S, T). At u = v = 1, the Gumbel and Fréchet bounds improve monotonically with non-decreasing (k, l). The method of proof uses combinatorial identities, and reveals a multiplicative structure before taking expectation over sample points.  相似文献

Let R be a commutative ring with 1 ≠ 0 and U(R) be the set of all unit elements of R. Let m, n be positive integers such that m > n. In this article, we study a generalization of n-absorbing ideals. A proper ideal I of R is called an (m, n)-absorbing ideal if whenever a 1?a m I for a 1,…, a m R?U(R), then there are n of the a i ’s whose product is in I. We investigate the stability of (m, n)-absorbing ideals with respect to various ring theoretic constructions and study (m, n)-absorbing ideals in several commutative rings. For example, in a Bézout ring or a Boolean ring, an ideal is an (m, n)-absorbing ideal if and only if it is an n-absorbing ideal, and in an almost Dedekind domain every (m, n)-absorbing ideal is a product of at most m ? 1 maximal ideals.  相似文献

Let \({M\subseteq \mathbb{C}}\) be compact and \({K\subseteq M}\) closed, and let A(K, M) be the uniform algebra of all functions continuous on M and holomorphic in the interior K° of K. We present a constructive proof of Arens’ classical result that for \({(f_{1},\ldots,f_{n})\in A(K,M)^{n}}\) the Bézout equation \({\sum_{j=1}^{n} a_{j}f_{j}=1}\) has a solution in A(K, M) if and only if the functions f j have no common zero in K. We shall also consider matrix-valued Bézout equations.  相似文献

A triangle T(r) in an r-uniform hypergraph is a set of r+1 edges such that r of them share a common (r-1)-set of vertices and the last edge contains the remaining vertex from each of the first r edges. Our main result is that the random greedy triangle-free process on n points terminates in an r-uniform hypergraph with independence number O((n log n)1/r). As a consequence, using recent results on independent sets in hypergraphs, the Ramsey number r(T(r),Ks(r)) has order of magnitude sr/ log s. This answers questions posed in [4, 10] and generalizes the celebrated results of Ajtai–Komlós–Szemerédi [1] and Kim [9] to hypergraphs.  相似文献

We investigate the approximation rate for certain centered Gaussian fields by a general approach. Upper estimates are proved in the context of so–called Hölder operators and lower estimates follow from the eigenvalue behavior of some related self–adjoint integral operator in a suitable L 2(μ)–space. In particular, we determine the approximation rate for the Lévy fractional Brownian motion X H with Hurst parameter H∈(0,1), indexed by a self–similar set T?? N of Hausdorff dimension D. This rate turns out to be of order n ?H/D (log?n)1/2. In the case T=[0,1] N we present a concrete wavelet representation of X H leading to an approximation of X H with the optimal rate n ?H/N (log?n)1/2.  相似文献

Let G be a multiplicative subgroup of the prime field F p of size |G| > p1?κ and r an arbitrarily fixed positive integer. Assuming κ = κ(r) > 0 and p large enough, it is shown that any proportional subset A ? G contains non-trivial arithmetic progressions of length r. The main ingredient is the Szemerédi–Green–Tao theorem.  相似文献

We introduce the G-blossom of a polynomial by altering the diagonal property of the classical blossom, replacing the identity function by arbitrary linear functions G=G(t). By invoking the G-blossom, we construct G-Bernstein bases and G-Bézier curves and study their algebraic and geometric properties. We show that the G-blossom provides the dual functionals for the G-Bernstein basis functions and we use this dual functional property to prove that G-Bernstein basis functions form a partition of unity and satisfy a Marsden identity. We also show that G-Bézier curves share several other properties with classical Bézier curves, including affine invariance, interpolation of end points, and recursive algorithms for evaluation and subdivision. We investigate the effect of the linear functions G on the shape of the corresponding G-Bézier curves, and we derive some necessary and sufficient conditions on the linear functions G which guarantee that the corresponding G-Bézier curves are of Pólya type and variation diminishing. Finally we prove that the control polygons generated by recursive subdivision converge to the original G-Bézier curve, and we derive the geometric rate of convergence of this algorithm.  相似文献

Let B(H) be the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex Hilbert space H and A(H) ? B(H) be a standard operator algebra which is closed under the adjoint operation. Let F: A(H)→ B(H) be a linear mapping satisfying F(AA*A) = F(A)A*A + Ad(A*)A + AA*d(A) for all AA(H), where the associated linear mapping d: A(H) → B(H) satisfies the relation d(AA*A) = d(A)A*A + Ad(A*)A + AA*d(A) for all AA(H). Then F is of the form F(A) = SA ? AT for all AA(H) and some S, TB(H), that is, F is a generalized derivation. We also prove some results concerning centralizers on A(H) and semisimple H*-algebras.  相似文献

We consider the distance graph G(n, r, s), whose vertices can be identified with r-element subsets of the set {1, 2,..., n}, two arbitrary vertices being joined by an edge if and only if the cardinality of the intersection of the corresponding subsets is s. For s = 0, such graphs are known as Kneser graphs. These graphs are closely related to the Erd?s–Ko–Rado problem and also play an important role in combinatorial geometry and coding theory. We study some properties of random subgraphs of G(n, r, s) in the Erd?s–Rényi model, in which every edge occurs in the subgraph with some given probability p independently of the other edges. We find the asymptotics of the independence number of a random subgraph of G(n, r, s) for the case of constant r and s. The independence number of a random subgraph is Θ(log2n) times as large as that of the graph G(n, r, s) itself for r ≤ 2s + 1, while for r > 2s + 1 one has asymptotic stability: the two independence numbers asymptotically coincide.  相似文献

Let R I (m, n) be the classical domain of type I in ? m×n with 1 ≤ mn. We obtain the optimal estimates of the eigenvalues of the Fréchet derivative Df(\(\mathop Z\limits^ \circ \)) at a smooth boundary fixed point \(\mathop Z\limits^ \circ \)of R I (m, n) for a holomorphic self-mapping f of R I (m, n). We provide a necessary and sufficient condition such that the boundary points of R I (m, n) are smooth, and give some properties of the smooth boundary points of R I (m, n). Our results extend the classical Schwarz lemma at the boundary of the unit disk Δ to R I (m, n), which may be applied to get some optimal estimates in several complex variables.  相似文献

A linear directed forest is a directed graph in which every component is a directed path. The linear arboricity la(D) of a digraph D is the minimum number of linear directed forests in D whose union covers all arcs of D. For every d-regular digraph D, Nakayama and P′eroche conjecture that la(D) = d + 1. In this paper, we consider the linear arboricity for complete symmetric digraphs, regular digraphs with high directed girth and random regular digraphs and we improve some wellknown results. Moreover, we propose a more precise conjecture about the linear arboricity for regular digraphs.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to prove the a.e. convergence of sequences of the Fejér means of the Walsh–Fourier series of bivariate integrable functions. That is, let \(a = (a_{1}, a_{2})\:\mathbb{N} \to \mathbb{N}^{2}\) such that a j (n+1)≧δsup kn a j (n) (j=1,2, n∈?) for some δ>0 and a 1(+∞)=a 2(+∞)=+∞. Then for each integrable function fL 1(I 2) we have the a.e. relation \(\lim_{n\to\infty}\sigma_{a_{1}(n), a_{2}(n)}f = f\). It will be a straightforward and easy consequence of this result the cone restricted a.e. convergence of the two-dimensional Walsh–Fejér means of integrable functions which was proved earlier by the author and Weisz [3,8].  相似文献
