The suitability of the determination of the asymmetry factor of chromatographic peaks by the ratio of areas of two components separated by a perpendicular dropped from the maximum of the peak to the base-line, A s * = S b /S a , where symbol a corresponds to the leading edge of the peak and b is for its tailing slope, is discussed. It is demonstrated that this method enables the estimation of the asymmetry of even partially separated chromatographic signals, including those eluted “in the tail” of intense peaks of solvents. The concepts of the asymmetry index I(A s *) and its increment ΔI(A s *) = (A s *)–I(A s *) are introduced, which ensures the characterization of the asymmetry of peaks of polar analytes with respect to the asymmetry of nonpolar reference components, that is, the separation of the effects of the polarity of analytes and their quantities injected into the chromatographic column on this parameter. For the first time we revealed a correlation of the asymmetry factors of compounds of different chemical nature with such a characteristic of their polarity as the difference in chromatographic separation temperature and the normal boiling point of analytes.  相似文献

The reaction on 8-hydroxy quinoline-7-aldehyde azo compounds (HL n ) (where n = 1–5) with 4-amino-1,2-dihydro-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-one to obtain HL n (where n = 6–10) have been characterized by means of TLC, melting point and spectral data, such as IR, 1H NMR, mass spectra and thermal studies. The X-ray diffraction patterns of two starting materials 8-hydroxy quinoline-7-aldehyde (start 1), 4-amino-1,2-dihydro-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-one (start 2) and the ligands (HL5,10) are investigated in powder form. All the ligands have been screened for their antimicrobial activity against four local bacterial species, two Gram-positive bacteria (Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus aureus) and two Gram-negative bacteria (Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae) as well as against four local fungi; Aspergillus niger, Alternaria alternata, Penicillium italicum and Fusarium oxysporium. The results show that the azo ligands (HL n ) (where n = 1–5) have no antimicrobial activity against bacteria and fungi while most azomethine ligands (HL n ) (where n = 6–10) are good antibacterial agents against E. coli and K. pneumoniae as well as antifungal agents against P. italicum and A. alternata. The results were compared to standard substances (start 1) and (start 2). Among the azomethine ligands, HL10 was the most effective against the most microorganisms tested. The size of clear zone was ordered as p-(OCH3 < CH3 < H < Cl < NO2) as expected from Hammett’s constant (σ R ). Also, the ultrastructure study of the affected bacteria confirmed that HL8 is good antibacterial agent against E. coli and S. aureus.  相似文献

The process of reduction of divalent copper ions with tert-butylamine borane in dilute aqueous solutions of poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) is investigated. The influence of polymer molecular mass on properties of the resultant Cu2O sols is studied. It is shown that Cu2O nanoparticles with an average diameter of 6–8 nm independent of polymer molecular mass and a relatively narrow size distribution of particles are formed in the systems under study. The contour length of macromolecules and the hydrodynamic diameter of a poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) macromolecular coil are compared with the diameter of Cu2O particles. Poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) with M ≥ 1 × 104 can be used to produce Cu2O nanoparticles. Poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone) with M > 4 × 104 should be used for the formation of long-living Cu2O sols.  相似文献

A series of poly(L-glutamate)s grafted with oligo(ethylene glycol) (OEG) side-chains through the thioether linkages (PALG n -g-EG x , x = 2, 3 and 4) were prepared by ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of γ-allyl-L-glutamate N-carboxyanhydride (ALG-NCA) and thiol-ene photoaddition. The chemical structures and physical properties were characterized by 1H-NMR, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), circular dichroism (CD), etc. The PALG n -g-EG x samples with x = 3 and 4 displayed lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in water due to the presence of OEG units. The clouding point (CP) of polypeptides can be finely tuned by changing the side chain structures, molecular weights and sample concentrations. In addition, the thioether linkages in the side chains offer additional redox-responsive properties. The influence of both OEG units and thioether linkages on the LCST behavior was systematically investigated. This work provides an efficient way to prepare multi-stimuli responsive materials with highly tunable properties.  相似文献

In a majority of environments, microbes live as interacting communities. Microbial communities are composed of a mix of microbes with often unknown functions. Polymicrobial diseases represent the clinical and pathological manifestations induced by the presence of multiple infectious agents. These diseases are difficult to diagnose and treat and usually are more severe than monomicrobial infections. The interaction relationship between Enterococcus faecalis and Escherichia coli was researched using a Calvet calorimeter. Three mixtures of both bacteria were prepared in the following proportions: 20 + 80 % (0.2 mL E. faecalis + 0.8 mL E. coli), 50 + 50 % (0.5 mL E. faecalis + 0.5 mL E. coli) and 80 + 20 % (0.8 mL E. faecalis + 0.2 mL E. coli). Experiments were carried out at concentration of 106 CFU mL?1 and a constant temperature of 309.65 K. The differences in shape of graph of E. faecalis, E. coli and their mixtures were compared. Also, the thermokinetic parameters such as detection time (t d), growth constant (k), generation time (G) and the amount of heat released (Q) were calculated.  相似文献

The dependence of the first coordination number k n on the packing factor k y is obtained for four cubic structures: fcc, bcc, simple cubic, and diamond. The k n (k y ) dependence is described by a third-degree polynomial k n = ?71.76782 + 467.78914 k y ? 925.48451 k y 2 + 603.01146 k y 3 with the confidence factor R d = 1. The k n (k y ) function has an N loop with a maximum at k n = 6.32; k y = 0.454 and a minimum at k n = 5.84; k y = 0.573. The tangents intersect the k n (k y ) curve at extrema at k y = 0.4 and k y = 0.625. Around the N loop, i.e., at 5.84 ≤ k n ≤ 6.32 and 0.4 ≤ k y ≤ 0.625, two or three packing factors correspond to a certain value of the coordination number. Therefore, this range of the k n and k y values can be defined as a “random packing” region. Estimations presented here agree well with the results of calculations, both geometric and numerical. For monoatomic solids with the random packing parameters, the difference between the specific volumes of the solid and liquid phases is insignificant. The dilatancy effect is possible in the region where ?k n / ?k y ≤ 0.  相似文献

A couple of novel electrochromic materials poly(2,3,4,5-tetrakis(2,3-hydrothieno[3,4-b]dixin-5-yl)-1-methyl-1H-pyrrole) (P(t-EDOT-mPy)) and poly(5,5′,5′′,5′′′-(thiophene-2,3,4,5-tetrayl)tetrakis(2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxine)) (P(t-EDOT-Th)) are electrodeposited via multi-position polymerization of their tetra-EDOT substituted monomers t-EDOT-mPy and t-EDOT-Th, respectively. Compared with the linear 2D structured poly(thiophene) (E g=2.2 eV) and poly(2,5-bis(2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxin-5-yl)thiophene) (E g=1.7 eV), P(t-EDOT-Th) (E g=1.62 eV) has the lowest band gap. Hence, we speculate that the band gaps of the two polymers, having 3D structures, are decreased in contrast to non-substituted polymers or bi-EDOT substituted polymers, thiophene and 1-methyl-1H-pyrrole. The results indicated that P(t-EDOT-Th) thin films are more stable and show higher transmittance amid two polymers, which may find their utilization in organic optoelectronics.  相似文献

A copper(II) complex with salicylaldehyde N-(2-salicylideneiminoglutaryl)hydrazone (H4L) of the formula [Cu2L · 2Py]2 · 8H2O (I) was obtained and characterized by X-ray diffraction. The crystals are monoclinic, space group P21, a = 13.0663 Å, b = 16.5553 Å, c = 17.7650 Å, β = 97.9420°; Z = 4. The complex is tetranuclear with a “dimer-of-dimers” structure in which the copper cations of two binuclear subunits are linked by phenoxy bridges. The EPR spectra of solutions of complex I show a superposition of two signals of four HFS lines (g 1 = 2.111, a 1 = 56.8 × 10?4 cm?1 and g 2 = 2.183, a 2 = 71.0 × 10?4 cm?1).  相似文献

Effect of the solvent nature on the kinetics of photoreduction of 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone and its six derivatives in the presence of N,N-dimethylaniline and 4-(N,N-dimethylamino)benzaldehyde has been investigated. It has been found that for the о-quinone—amine pair, for which the free energy change of electron transfer is ΔGe > +0.11 eV, the rate constant of о-quinone photoreduction kH decreases proportionally to the increase in the acceptor number of the solvent. For the о-quinone—amine pair with ΔGe < +0.11 eV, the kH value decreases proportionally to the increase in the donor number of the solvent. It has been established that the enhancement of the electron-acceptor properties of the solvent leads to the emergence of kinetic isotope effect for the reactant pairs of 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone and 4,5-dimethoxy-3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone with N,N-di-methylaniline (ΔGe = +0.11 and +0.22 eV, respectively).  相似文献

The base quantity ‘amount of substance’ is poorly understood and the name and symbol usually avoided. This is because of its formal interpretation as the number of entities multiplied by the reciprocal of the mysterious Avogadro constant, N A. If X signifies the kind of entities involved, the number of entities in a sample, N(X), is easily comprehended, and if m av(X) is the sample-average entity mass, the total mass, m(X) = N(X)m av(X)—an aggregate of N(X) average entity masses—is also conceptually straightforward. However, the corresponding amount of substance, n(X) = N(X)(1/N A)—an aggregate of N(X) ‘reciprocal Avogadro constants’—is incomprehensible unless some physical meaning can be attached to 1/N A. By contrast, the base unit, mole, is thought of by chemists as an aggregate of a particular number of entities: mol = \( {\mathcal N}_{\rm{Avo}} \) ent, where \( {\mathcal N}_{\rm{Avo}} \) is the Avogadro number (equal to g/Da) and ent represents one entity. It makes sense, therefore, to interpret amount of substance as an aggregate of a general number of entities: n(X) = N(X) ent—an easily grasped concept. A ‘reciprocal Avogadro constant’ is thus seen to actually be exactly one entity. One mole then corresponds to setting N(X) = \( {\mathcal N}_{\rm{Avo}} \), for which the total mass is the relative entity mass in grams—conforming to the original mole concept.  相似文献

The inhibition of AKR1B10 has been recognized as a potential therapeutic approach to the treatment of various types of cancers. A novel series of compounds with imino-2H-chromen and phenylimino-2H-chromen scaffolds were synthesized by Knoevenagel condensation reaction. The in vitro cytotoxic activity of synthesized compounds was evaluated against MOLT-4 and SK-OV-3 cells. Among the tested compounds, N-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(phenylimino)-2H-chromene-3-carboxamide (8g) demonstrated potent inhibitory activity against both examined cell lines. The results of the molecular docking study suggested that this compound is involved in critical hydrogen-bonding interactions with the Val301 and Lue302 of AKR1B10 catalytic site.  相似文献

The syntheses and crystal structures of the layered coordination polymers M(C8H8NO2)2 [M = Mn (1), Co (2), Ni (3) and Zn (4)] are described. These isostructural compounds contain centrosymmetric trans-MN2O4 octahedra as parts of infinite sheets; the ligand bonds to three adjacent metal ions in μ3-N,O,O′ mode from both its carboxylate O atoms and its amine N atom. In each case, weak intra-sheet N–H?O and C–H?O hydrogen bonds may help to consolidate the structure. The formulas for calculation of the number of atoms in nanoparticles with symmetry group D 6h are reported. The numbers of atoms are determined by six structurally invariant numbers and the “quantum number” of the group order n. Eight classes of nanostructures with symmetry group D 6h are revealed: C ? + 12z , where z = 0, 1, 2, …, and C ? is C 2, C 6, C 8, or C 14. The sum rule for the coordination numbers of all atoms of subshells related to symmetry elements is established. Two-dimensional nanoparticles are considered.  相似文献

Catalytic aminomethylation of pyrrole and indole with N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylmethanediamine in the presence of 5 mol % of ZrOCl2·8H2O proceeds selectively at the positions 2, 5 of pyrrole and 1, 3 of indole. Carbazole under the same conditions affords 3-formyl-9-aminomethyl derivative. The reaction in the presence of 5 mol % of K2CO3 occurs as monoaminomethylation: for pyrrole at the position 2, for indole at the position 3, and for carbazole at the nitrogen atom of the substrate. Water-soluble 1,1′-(1H-pyrrole-2,5-diyl)bis(N,N-dimethylmethanamine) exhibits a fungistatic activity with respect to phytopathogenic fungi Rhizoctonia solani.  相似文献

In the BaS–Ga2S3 system, the following compounds form: congruently melting compound BaGa4S7 (rhombic system, space group Pmn21, a = 1.477 nm, b = 0.624 nm, c = 0.593 nm, and Tmelt = 1490 K) and incongruently melting compounds BaGa2S4 (cubic system, space group Pa3, a = 1.2661 nm, and Tmelt = 1370 K), Ba2Ga2S5 (monoclinic system, space group C2/c, a = 1.529, b = 1.479, c = 0.858 nm, ß = 106.04°, and Tmelt = 1150 K), Ba3Ga2S6 (monoclinic system, space group C2/c, a = 0.909 nm, b = 1.448 nm, c = 0.903 nm, ß = 91.81°, and Tmelt = 1190 K), Ba4Ga2S7 (monoclinic system, space group P21/m, a = 1.177 nm, b = 0.716 nm, c = 0.903 nm, ß = 108.32°, and Tmelt = 1230 K), and Ba5Ga2S8 (rhombic system, space group Cmca, a = 2.249 nm, b = 1.215 nm, c = 1.189 nm, and Tmelt = 1480 K). The compositions of eutectics are 38 and 72 mol % Ga2S3, and their melting points are 1120 and 1160 K, respectively. The BaS solubility in γ-Ga2S3 at 1070 K reaches 3 mol %.  相似文献

X-ray structural analysis has been performed for two complex compounds: Cu(en)2(o-HB)2H2O (I) (a = 16.873(4) Å, b = 8.713(2) Å, c = 14.803(3) Å, β = 91.15(2)°, V = 2175.8(8) Å3, C2/c, Z = 4, R(F) = 0.0263, 1516 reflections with I > 3σ (I)) and [Cu(en)2(OH2)2]2+(o-AB?)2 (II) (a = 7.488(5) Å, b = 22.122(8) Å, c = 7.856(5) Å, β = 118.77(2)°, V = 1140.7(11) Å3, P21/n, Z = 2, R(F) = 0.0432, 1684 reflections with I > 3σ(I)) synthesized under identical conditions (en is ethylenediamine, o-HB is o-hydroxybenzoate, and o-AB is o-aminobenzoate). Although the compounds were assumed to have similar structures and the Cu-Lig bond lengths and the cis and trans angles are acceptable for an octahedral structure, the geometric parameters of o-HB suggest that the copper atom has a plane square environment.  相似文献

4H-Chromene and 1,4-naphthoquinone systems are generally considered to be medicinally privileged scaffolds. We have designed novel conjugates that incorporated both these scaffolds, as such conjugates exhibit unique biological properties reflecting those due to individual units and collective presence. In this work, we have achieved facile, efficient, and high yielding synthesis of 19 such conjugates from readily available 2-alkylamino-4-methylsulfanyl-3-nitro-4H-chromenes and 2-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4-dione. Highly polar nitroketene-O,N-acetal unit present in the conjugates is designed to prevent crossing blood brain barrier. We have conducted structure activity relationship (SAR) studies based on initial antimicrobial screening of a set of ten conjugates against three Gram positive bacteria [Bacillus Subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), Staphylococcus Escherichia coli), and two fungi (Aspergillus niger, Candida albicans). The SAR studies revealed that the conjugates with halogens at C(6) and C(8) positions of the 4H-chromene ring having C(2)NMe group display impressive activity, almost equal to that of standard drugs. None of the conjugates, however, showed antimalarial activity, although they possess 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone unit.  相似文献

Calculations are made using the equations Δr G = Δr H ? TΔr S and Δr X = Δr H ? Δr Q where Δr X represents the free energy change when the exchange of absorbed thermal energy with the environment is represented by Δr Q. The symbol Q has traditionally represented absorbed heat. However, here it is used specifically to represent the enthalpy listed in tabulations of thermodynamic properties as (H T  ? H 0) at T = 298.15 K, the reason being that for a given substance TS equals 2.0 Q for solid substances, with the difference being greater for liquids, and especially gases. Since Δr H can be measured, and is tangibly the same no matter what thermodynamics are used to describe a reaction equation, a change in the absorbed heat of a biochemical growth process system as represented by either Δr Q or TΔr S would be expected to result in a different calculated value for the free energy change. Calculations of changes in thermodynamic properties are made which accompany anabolism; the formation of anabolic, organic by-products; catabolism; metabolism; and their respective non-conservative reactions; for the growth of Saccharomyces cerevisiae using four growth process systems. The result is that there is only about a 1% difference in the average quantity of free energy conserved during growth using either Eq. 1 or 2. This is because although values of TΔr S and Δr Q can be markedly different when compared to one another, these differences are small when compared to the value for Δr G or Δr X.  相似文献
