A new method named "the polymer incarcerated (PI) method" for preparing a heterogeneous palladium catalyst has been developed. The method is operationally simple, and the Pd catalyst prepared (PI Pd) is highly active for hydrogenation, carbon-carbon, and carbon-oxygen bond-forming reactions. Remarkable points are that the activity of PI Pd is higher than that of homogeneous Pd catalysts and that PI Pd is recovered by simple filtration and reused several times without loss of activity. The catalyst is expected to replace many heterogeneous palladium catalysts, especially Pd/C, which is often used in academia and industry, but recovery of which is difficult.  相似文献

Phosphinated polymer‐incarcerated (PI) Pd catalysts were prepared by immobilization of palladium with phosphinated polymers by using the PI method. The phosphinated PI Pd catalysts showed good catalytic activity without externally added phosphine ligands in the amination of aryl halides for C N bond‐forming reactions, as well as in Suzuki–Miyaura and Sonogashira coupling. No leaching of palladium from the immobilized Pd was observed by fluorescence X‐ray analysis. Furthermore, it was found that immobilization of Pd by the PI process facilitated the suppression of poisoning of the metal by amines. These effects can be ascribed to stabilization of the catalyst by both the phosphine moieties and the benzene rings in the swollen polymer support. The phosphinated PI Pd catalysts could also be recovered by simple filtration and reused several times without leaching of palladium in both the amination and Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reactions.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Immobilization of a palladium catalyst with use of new phosphinated polymers was carried out utilizing the polymer incarcerated (PI) method. This phosphinated PI Pd catalyst showed excellent activity in Suzuki-Miyaura couplings without addition of external phosphine ligands. No leaching of Pd was observed in this reaction, and the catalyst was recovered quantitatively by simple filtration and reused several times without loss of activity.  相似文献

A chitosan-supported palladium (Pd) (0) catalyst was prepared by simple adsorption of palladium(II) ion onto chitosan beads and a subsequent reduction process. To maintain mechanical stability, the chitosan-supported palladium(0) catalyst was cross-linked with either glutaraldehyde or diglycidyl ether polyethylene glycol. The catalysts were utilized for the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction in water. The catalyst, in the presence of a tetrabutylammonium bromide (TBAB) additive, showed excellent catalytic activity in microwave-prompted Suzuki cross-coupling reactions using various aryl halides and boronic acids. In addition, the catalyst was successfully reused up to five times without significant loss of catalytic activity.

Two different chitosan supported palladium based catalysts were prepared, wherein dispersed palladium nanoparticles were obtained via chemical reduction supported on chitosan (Pd/CTS) and amine functionalized modified chitosan (Pd/AFCTS). The catalytic activity of the Pd-based catalysts, Pd/CTS and Pd/AFCTS, were assessed in the hydrogenation of styrene oxide to 2-phenyl ethanol. Both Pd-based catalysts enhanced the formation of the desired 2-phenyl ethanol in contrast to a conventional Pd/C catalyst without the assistance of inorganic or organic base. A considerable influence on the conversion and selectivity was observed in the case of Pd/AFCTS, consisting of palladium nanoparticles stabilized and dispersed on amine-functionalized chitosan matrix, affording complete conversion of styrene oxide with 98% selectivity to 2-phenyl ethanol. The catalyst Pd/AFCTS has also been recycled without significant loss of activity and selectivity.  相似文献

The guanidine‐functionalized resin‐supported Pd(0) catalyst [GDR·Pd(0)] is highly active in Heck reaction of aryl bromides with acrylic acid or styrene without the need to exclude air. The catalyst can be recycled at least 9 times without significant loss of activity in N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone at 140 °C. The Heck reaction proceeds homogeneously with dissolved palladium species and the dissolved active palladium species can redeposit onto the surface of catalyst in the reaction. The XRD peak shifting of Pd phases in the catalyst provides the evidence for the re‐deposition of the active palladium species.  相似文献

A new bis(N ‐heterocyclic carbene) (NHC) palladium complex supported on silica coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) was prepared using the reaction of synthesized Pd‐NHC complex with MNPs. The Pd‐NHC complex was prepared using the reaction of a hydroxyl‐functionalized bis‐imidazolium ionic liquid. The Pd‐NHC organometallic complex was used as a heterogeneous recyclable and active catalyst in the Suzuki‐Miyaura reaction and various aryl halides were coupled with arylboronic acids in order to synthesize diverse biaryls in good to excellent yields. The prepared catalyst was characterized by use of some different microscopic and spectroscopic techniques including elemental analysis, FT‐IR spectroscopy, diffuse reflectance UV–Vis spectrophotometery, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD). The Pd‐NHC catalyst system is a magnetic reusable catalyst and it can be separated from the reaction mixture using an external magnetic field. The catalyst was reusable in the Suzuki‐Miyaura coupling reaction at least for 6 times without significant decreasing in its catalytic activity.  相似文献

The ethylenediamine-functionalized resin-supported Pd(0)complex was prepared from PdCl_2 and ethylenedia-mine-functionalized chloromethylated polystyrene, followed by reduction with KBH_4.The complex was character-ized by FT-IR,XRD,BET,SEM and EDS.The resin-supported catalyst exhibited high catalytic activity in theHeck reaction and could be reused up to 17 times in NMP or 16 times in DMF at 90 ℃ in the Heck reaction of io-dobenzene with acrylic acid. The leaching investigation disclosed that the palladium leaching was caused by the in-teraction of iodobenzene with the metal Pd(0)on supported catalyst. The leached palladium species in filtrate wasvery stable and could be reused five times after the solid catalyst was filtered off.A cross-transfer test in recyclingin the presence of additional carbon disclosed that the soluble leached palladium species had much higher catalyticactivity than supported and/or adsorbed palladium in solid-solution heterogeneous Heck reaction.  相似文献

A heterogenized Pd catalyst, Pd(II)-hydrotalcite (palladium(II) acetate-pyridine complex supported by hydrotalcite) catalyzes the aerobic oxidation in toluene of a variety of primary and secondary alcohols into the corresponding aldehydes and ketones in high yields using atmospheric pressure of air as a sole oxidant under mild conditions. This catalyst is also effective for the oxidation of allylic alcohols, especially such as geraniol and nerol, without any isomerization of an alkenic part. The catalyst can be easily prepared from all commercially available reagents and reused several times.  相似文献

In this paper, a highly active, air‐ and moisture‐stable and easily recoverable magnetic nanoparticles tethered mesoionic carbene palladium (II) complex (MNPs‐MIC‐Pd) as nanomagnetic catalyst was successfully synthesized by a simplistic multistep synthesis under aerobic conditions using commercially available inexpensive chemicals for the first time. The synthesized MNPs‐MIC‐Pd nanomagnetic catalyst was in‐depth characterized by numerous physicochemical techniques such as FT‐IR, ICP‐AES, FESEM, EDS, TEM, p‐XRD, XPS, TGA and BET surface area analysis. The prepared MNPs‐MIC‐Pd nanomagnetic catalyst was used to catalyze the Suzuki–Miyaura and Mizoroki–Heck cross‐coupling reactions and exhibited excellent catalytic activity for various substrates under mild reaction conditions. Moreover, MNPs‐MIC‐Pd nanomagnetic catalyst could be easily and rapidly recovered by applying an external magnet. The recovered MNPs‐MIC‐Pd nanomagnetic catalyst exhibited very good catalytic activity up to ten times in Suzuki–Miyaura and five times in Mizoroki–Heck cross‐coupling reactions without considerable loss of its catalytic activity. However, MNPs‐MIC‐Pd nanomagnetic catalyst shows notable advantages such as heterogeneous nature, efficient catalytic activity, mild reaction conditions, easy magnetic work up and recyclability.  相似文献

A promising approach to the controlled synthesis of supported nanoparticles involves the use of molecular carbonyl clusters as precursors. Molecular metal clusters consist of a defined number of structurally ordered atoms, and active monodisperse metal particles are formed after dispersing the molecules and removing the ligands. An octanuclear palladium cluster precursor with easily displaceable ligands was used to generate palladium nanoparticles on mesoporous MCM-41. The molecular cluster precursor, [Pd8(CO)8(PMe3)7], was directly adsorbed from solution onto MCM-41, followed by gentle thermolysis which yielded small metal nanoparticles. Compared to MCM-41-based catalysts prepared from palladium salts by conventional methods, this cluster-derived palladium catalyst has shown an efficient activity for liquid-phase hydrogenation of alkenes.  相似文献

Mixed valent Pd(0)/Pd(II) nano‐sized aggregates supported onto a chemically robust layered zirconium carboxyphosphonate framework is prepared and its catalytic activity in Suzuki‐Miyaura cross coupling reaction is explored. The exceptionally high catalytic efficacy of the heterogeneous catalyst in Suzuki‐Miyaura cross coupling reaction is signified by remarkably short reaction time 2 minutes and high turnover frequency of 1.3 x 104 hr?1. The catalyst can be recycled several times without significant loss of catalytic efficacy, while spectroscopic, structural and microscopic investigations suggest the integrity of the catalyst even after fifth catalytic cycle. The unique ability of the zirconium carboxyphosphonate framework to interact strongly with palladium in dual Pd(0)/Pd(II) oxidation states has been attributed to this remarkable augmentation of catalytic efficacy.  相似文献

pi-Allylpalladium complexes could be generated in water by the palladium(0) water soluble catalyst prepared in situ from palladium acetate and TPPTS. These complexes were transmetalated with indium to react with benzaldehyde. The aqueous solution of Pd(0)(TPPTS)(n) could be reused without deterioration of the catalyst in the first and second recycling. The system proved to be efficient with primary and secondary allylic substrates. The stereochemical outcome of the allylation through umpolung of allylpalladium, was also studied using models with a restraint conformation.  相似文献

The [N-(2-pyridyl)] para-styrene sulfonamide (PSS) was prepared as a monomer, from the reaction of para-styrene sulfonyl chloride and 2-amino pyridine in the presence of potassium hydroxide solution 0.5 M as a base, and CH3Cl. Polystyrene [N-(2-pyridyl) sulfonamide] (PPSS) was synthesized from the polymerization of [N-(2-pyridyl)] para-styrene sulfonamide (PSS). The Polystyrene bis [N-(2-pyridyl) sulfonamide] palladium (II) as a polymer- supporting palladium complex was also prepared from the reaction of PdCl2 (CH3CN)2 with PPSS in the presence of KOH 0.5 M. Polystyrene bis [N-(2-pyridyl) sulfonamide] palladium (II) is produced as a novel heterogeneous catalyst for coupling reactions for C-C bond formation. This method includes higher yield and has an easier work-up procedure. The structures of the monomer, polymer and its Pd complex were confirmed by using FT-IR and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. Elemental analysis of Pd by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) technique and hot filtration test showed loading of the metal into solution from the catalyst The heterogeneous catalyst was recycled without any loss in its properties.  相似文献

Novel catalytic system based on palladium nanoparticles supported on poly (N-vinylpyrrolidone) (PVP) grafted silica was prepared. Aminopropylsilica was reacted with acryloyl chloride to form acrylamidopropylsilica, and onto this functionalized silica vinylpyrrolidone monomer was polymerized by free-radical polymerization. The complexation of PVP-grafted silica with PdCl2 was carried out to obtain the heterogeneous catalytic system. X-ray diffraction (XRD) technique and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) image showed that palladium dispersed through the support in nanometer size. This catalytic system exhibited excellent activity in cross-coupling reactions of aryl iodides, bromides and also chlorides with olefinic compounds in Heck-Mizoraki reactions in short reaction time and high yields. Elemental analysis of Pd by inductively coupled plasma (ICP) technique and hot filtration test showed low leaching of the metal into solution from the supported catalyst. The catalyst can be reused several times in repeating Heck reaction cycles without considerable loss in its activity.  相似文献

Catalytic carbonylation of quaternary ammonium salts under anhydrous conditions was investigated using palladium catalyst. The carbonylation of tetramethylammonium iodide was chosen as a model reaction and studied systematically. Ligand‐free PdCl2 showed efficient catalytic performance for this transformation. A palladium catalyst loading as low as 0.05 mol% was sufficient for high yield (96.9%) of N,N‐dimethylacetamide, corresponding to a turnover frequency of 242 h?1. Under optimum conditions, several other quaternary ammonium halides were also carbonylated to corresponding tertiary amides in moderate to excellent yields. The catalytic activity of commercial palladium on activated carbon (Pd/C) catalyst was also evaluated. The Pd/C catalyst exhibited high activity for this carbonylation reaction and could be recycled six times with a slight decrease in activity. Furthermore, mechanistic considerations concerning Pd‐catalyzed carbonylation of quaternary ammonium halides were also discussed. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

Poly(4-vinylpyridine-co-N-vinylpyrrolidone)(VPy-co-NVP) and its palladium complex (VPy–NVP–Pd) were prepared. The palladium complex was used as catalyst for the hydrogenation of some nitroaromatics. The molar content of VPy units in VPy-co-NVP was determined as 31.25% by 1H NMR. VPy–NVP–Pd can be easily resolved in ethanol forming a homogeneous catalytic hydrogenation system together with substrates. The optimum catalytic activity for hydrogenation of nitrobenzene appeared when VPy/Pd molar ratio was 2. The catalytic behavior of the catalyst was found to be greatly affected by the type and concentration of added alkalies. The highest hydrogenation rate for nitrobenzene was found in a 0.1 mol/l ethanol solution of potassium hydroxide. The catalytic stability was examined by using nitrobenzene and 4-nitroanisole as substrates.  相似文献

Suzuki cross-coupling reaction was successfully carried out in ethanol utilizing a palladium colloidal solution stabilized by polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP). High isolated yields (75-97%) to biaryls were obtained using different bases, aryl halides, and aryl boronic acids with a small loading of the palladium catalyst. Pd(0)-PVP nanoparticles with 3-6 nm of medium diameter were prepared from Pd(OAc)2 in the presence of the stabilizer PVP using methanol as the reducing agent.  相似文献
