Amphiphiles alter the energy of surfaces, but the extent of this feature is typically constant. Smart systems with amphiphilicity as a function of an external, physical trigger are desirable. As a trigger, the exposure to a magnetic field, in particular, is attractive because it is not shielded in water. Amphiphiles like surfactants are well known, but the magnetic response of molecules is typically weak. Vice‐versa, magnetic particles with strong response to magnetic triggers are fully established in nanoscience, but they are not amphiphilic. In this work colloids with Janus architecture and ultra‐small dimensions (25 nm) have been prepared by spatial control over the thiol‐yne click modification of organosilica‐magnetite core–shell nanoparticles. The amphiphilic properties of these anisotropically modified particles are proven. Finally, a pronounced and reversible change in interfacial stabilization results from the application of a weak (<1 T) magnetic field.  相似文献

A novel Se/C nanocomposite with core‐shell structures has been prepared through a facile one‐pot microwave‐induced hydrothermal process. The new material consists of a trigonal‐Se (t‐Se) core and an amorphous‐C (a‐C) shell. The Se/C composite can be converted to hollow carbon capsules by thermal treatment. These products were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), powder X‐ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), selected area electron diffraction (SAED), energy‐dispersive X‐ray (EDX) spectroscopy, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).  相似文献

To overcome the drawbacks of the structural instability and poor conductivity of SnO2-based anode materials, a hollow core–shell-structured SnO2@C@Co-NC (NC=N-doped carbon) composite was designed and synthesized by employing the heteroatom-doping and multiconfinement strategies. This composite material showed a much-reduced resistance to charge transfer and excellent cycling performance compared to the bare SnO2 nanoparticles and SnO2@C composites. The doped heteroatoms and heterostructure boost the charge transfer, and the porous structure shortens the Li-ion diffusion pathway. Also, the volume expansion of SnO2 NPs is accommodated by the hollow space and restricted by the multishell heteroatom-doped carbon framework. As a result, this structured anode material delivered a high initial capacity of 1559.1 mA h g−1 at 50 mA g−1 and an initial charge capacity of 627.2 mA h g−1 at 500 mA g−1. Moreover, the discharge capacity could be maintained at 410.8 mA h g−1 after 500 cycles with an attenuation rate of only 0.069 % per cycle. This multiconfined SnO2@C@Co-NC structure with superior energy density and durable lifespan is highly promising for the next-generation lithium-ion batteries.  相似文献

Semiconductor nanocrystals of tunable shell/core configurations have great potential in photo-driven applications such as photoluminescence and photocatalysis, but few strategies realize a controllable synthesis with respect to both the size of the core and the shell with high crystallinity. Here, a new synthetic method based on cadmium cyanamide (CdNCN) nanoparticle anion exchange reactions was developed to access solid or hollow CdSe nanocrystals with tunable size and CdNCN@CdS heterostructures with modulated shell/core thickness. The gradual shift and narrow width of photoluminescence features demonstrate the high crystallinity and monodispersity of the resulting CdSe nanocrystals. In the CdNCN@CdS heterostructures, synergistic effects of the photocarrier separation is observed between the CdS shell and CdNCN core, which leads to great improvement in photocatalysis with optimized shell/core ratio.  相似文献

A method is reported for the first time for the selected-control, large-scale synthesis of monodispersed Fe3O4@C core–shell spheres, chains, and rings with tunable magnetic properties based on structural evolution from eccentric Fe2O3@poly(acrylic acid) core–shell nanoparticles. The Fe3O4@C core–shell spheres, chains, and rings were investigated as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Furthermore, a possible formation mechanism of Fe3O4@C core–shell chains and rings has also been proposed.  相似文献

In this study, we have developed a simple and efficient single-nozzle electrospinning strategy involving the phase separation of polystyrene and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) to construct cable-like core–shell mesoporous SnO2 nanofibers. Compared with traditional multi-axial electrospinning approaches to the synthesis of core–shell nanofibers, the single-nozzle electrospinning process requires no complex multi-axial electrospinning setups or post-treatments, just drying and annealing after electrospinning. The obtained SnO2 nanofibers show promise as a sensing material for formaldehyde at low concentrations, the detection limit being about 1 ppm. Furthermore, the nanofibers exhibited good cycling stability and selectivity, with response and recovery times toward 10 ppm formaldehyde being approximately 18 and 196 s, respectively, at an operating temperature of 195 °C.  相似文献

A simple efficient post‐modification route to the fabrication of hybrid gold nanoparticles with poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm) based on click chemistry is described. The PNIPAm was prepared by reversible addition fragmentation chain transfer radical polymerization (RAFT). The PNIPAm was immobilized onto gold nanoparticles with grafting densities of 5.8 chains · nm−2 by a click reaction. The hybrid gold nanoparticles showed a temperature responsive phenomenon as the temperature changed between 20 and 45 °C.

Core–shell architectures offer an effective way to tune and enhance the properties of noble-metal catalysts. Herein, we demonstrate the synthesis of Pt shell on titanium tungsten nitride core nanoparticles (Pt/TiWN) by high temperature ammonia nitridation of a parent core–shell carbide material (Pt/TiWC). X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed significant core-level shifts for Pt shells supported on TiWN cores, corresponding to increased stabilization of the Pt valence d-states. The modulation of the electronic structure of the Pt shell by the nitride core translated into enhanced CO tolerance during hydrogen electrooxidation in the presence of CO. The ability to control shell coverage and vary the heterometallic composition of the shell and nitride core opens up attractive opportunities to synthesize a broad range of new materials with tunable catalytic properties.  相似文献

DNA nanostructures have shown potential in cancer therapy. However, their clinical application is hampered by the difficulty to deliver them into cancer cells and susceptibility to nuclease degradation. To overcome these limitations, we report herein a periodically ordered nick-hidden DNA nanowire (NW) with high serum stability and active targeting functionality. The inner core is made of multiple connected DNA double helices, and the outer shell is composed of regularly arranged standing-up hairpin aptamers. All termini of the components are hidden from nuclease attack, whereas the target-binding sites are exposed to allow delivery to the cancer target. The DNA NW remained intact during incubation for 24 h in serum solution. Animal imaging and cell apoptosis showed that NWs loaded with an anticancer drug displayed long blood-circulation time and high specificity in inducing cancer-cell apoptosis, thus validating this approach for the targeted imaging and therapy of cancers.  相似文献

Transition metal oxides have vastly limited practical application as electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) due to their rapid capacity decay. Here, a versatile strategy to mitigate the volume expansion and low conductivity of Fe3O4 by coating a thin carbon layer on the surface of Fe3O4 nanosheets (NSs) was employed. Owing to the 2D core–shell structure, the Fe3O4@C NSs exhibit significantly improved rate performance and cycle capability compared with bare Fe3O4 NSs. After 200 cycles, the discharge capacity at 0.5 A g−1 was 963 mA h g−1 (93 % retained). Moreover, the reaction mechanism of lithium storage was studied in detail by ex situ XRD and HRTEM. When coupled with a commercial LiFePO4 cathode, the resulting full cell retains a capacity of 133 mA h g−1 after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g−1, which demonstrates its superior energy storage performance. This work provides guidance for constructing 2D metal oxide/carbon composites with high performance and low cost for the field of energy storage.  相似文献

A new polymeric NHC carrier was synthesized by sequential supramolecular self-assembly and copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) of amphiphilic imidazolium calix[4]arenes with octyl lipophilic fragments. Obtained polytriazole-imidazolium particles were found as monodisperse submicron particles, with the average diameter of 236 ± 34 nm and average molecular weight of 1380 ± 96 kDa. Successful CuAAC polymerization has been proved using IR spectroscopy and high-resolution ESI mass spectrometry. Polymeric particles, as well as aggregates made from precursor macrocycles, were decorated by Pd clusters (2 nm) for further catalytic investigations. Pd nanoclusters, supported on the polymeric surface, were found highly catalytically active in the model reduction of p-nitrophenol, giving reaction rates an order of magnitude higher compared to literature examples. The reaction was recycled using the same catalyst five times without any loss of activity.  相似文献

Hybrid nanocarbon, comprised of a diamond core and a graphitic shell with a variable sp2‐/sp3‐carbon ratio, is controllably obtained through sequential annealing treatment (550–1300 °C) of nanodiamond. The formation of sp2 carbon increases with annealing temperature and the nanodiamond surface is reconstructed from amorphous into a well‐ordered, onion‐like carbon structure via an intermediate composite structure—a diamond core covered by a defective, curved graphene outer shell. Direct dehydrogenation of propane shows that the sp2‐/sp3‐nanocomposite exhibits superior catalytic performance to that of individual nanodiamond and graphitic nanocarbon. The optimum catalytic activity of the diamond/graphene composite depends on the maximum structural defectiveness and high chemical reactivity of the ketone groups. Ketone‐type functional groups anchored on the defects/vacancies are active for propene formation; nevertheless, once the oxygen functional groups are desorbed, the defects/vacancies alone might be active sites responsible for the C?H bond activation of propane.  相似文献

This work demonstrated the feasibility of detecting hydrocortisone in cosmetics using a novel CdSe/CdS quantum dots‐based competitive fluoroimmunoassay with magnetic core/shell Fe3O4/Au nanoparticles (MCFN) as solid carriers. Hydrocortisone antigen was labeled with the synthesized core/shell CdSe/CdS quantum dots (QDs) to form the antigen‐QDs conjugate. Meanwhile, hydrocortisone antibody was incubated with MCFN and the immobilized antibody was obtained. The immobilized antibody was then mixed sequentially with hydrocortisone and a slightly excess amount of the QDs‐labeled hydrocortisone antigen, allowing their competition for binding with the antibody immobilized on MCFN. The bound hydrocortisone and the antigen‐QDs conjugates on MCFN were removed subsequently after the mixture was applied to a magnetic force. The analyte concentration was obtained by measuring the fluorescence intensity of the unbound hydrocortisone antigen‐QDs conjugates. The proposed method was characterized by simplicity, rapidity, and high sensitivity with a wide linear working range of 0.5 to 15000 pg·mL?1 and a low detection limit of 0.5 pg·mL?1. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of hydrocortisone in cosmetics with satisfactory results.  相似文献
