A new series of transition metal complexes of Cu(II), Ni(II), Co(II), Mn(II), Zn(II), VO(IV), Hg(II) and Cd(II) have been synthesized from the Schiff base (L) derived from 4-aminoantipyrine, 3-hydroxy-4-nitrobenzaldehyde and o-phenylenediamine. Structural features were obtained from their elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance, mass, IR, UV-Vis, 1H NMR and ESR spectral studies. The data show that these complexes have composition of ML type. The UV-Vis, magnetic susceptibility and ESR spectral data of the complexes suggest a square-planar geometry around the central metal ion except VO(IV) complex which has square-pyramidal geometry. The redox behaviour of copper and vanadyl complexes was studied by cyclic voltammetry. Antimicrobial screening tests gave good results in the presence of metal ion in the ligand system. The nuclease activity of the above metal complexes shows that Cu, Ni and Co complexes cleave DNA through redox chemistry whereas other complexes are not effective.  相似文献

Two naphthalene pyrazole ligands were synthesized using KOH/DMSO and Cu catalyst and characterized with FT-IR, ESI-MS, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopies. The crystal structures of 1-(2-methylnaphthalen-1-yl)-1H-pyrazole (MeNap-Pz) ligand have been determined with X-ray crystal structure analysis. Reaction of the ligands with Cu(NO3)2x3.5H2O gave two new complexes and characterized with magnetic susceptibility, molar conductance, FT-IR, LCMS-MS, ICP-OES, NMR, thermogravimetric analysis, and ESR spectra. The spectral data of the ligands are coordinated to the metal ion through the nitrogen atoms of the pyrazole ring. Consequently, it has been determined that [Cu(MeNap-Pz)2(NO3)]NO3.2H2O complex showed square planar geometry and [Cu(NapMe-Pz)2(NO3)2].H2O complex showed octahedral geometry. All compounds were screened for in vitro antibacterial activity and copper complexes have been shown to be effective on bacteria.  相似文献

A new Schiff base ligand named (E)‐2‐(((3‐aminophenyl)imino)methyl)phenol (HL) was prepared through condensation reaction of m‐phenylenediamine and 2‐hydroxybenzaldehyde in 1:1 molar ratio. The new ligand was characterized by elemental analysis and spectral techniques. The coordination behavior of a series of transition metal ions named Cr (III), Mn (II), Fe (III), Co (II), Ni (II), Cu (II), Zn (II) and Cd (II) with the newly prepared Schiff base ligand (HL) is reported. The nature of bonding and the stereochemistry of the complexes have been deduced from elemental analyses, IR, UV–Vis, 1H NMR, mass, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements and further their thermal stability was confirmed by thermogravimetric analysis (TG). From IR spectra, it was observed that the ligand is a neutral tridentate ligand coordinates to the metal ions through protonated phenolic oxygen, azomethine nitrogen and nitrogen atom of NH2 group. The existence, the number and the position of the water molecules was studied by thermal analysis. The molecular structures of the Schiff base ligand (HL) and its metal complexes were optimized theoretically and the quantum chemical parameters were calculated. The synthesized ligand and its complexes were screened for antimicrobial activities against bacterial species (Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillis subtilis, (gram positive bacteria)), (Salmonella SP., Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, (gram negative bacteria)) and fungi (Aspergillus fumigatus and Candida albicans). The complexes were found to possess high biological activities against different organisms. Molecular docking was used to predict the efficiency of binding between Schiff base ligand (HL) and both receptors of Escherichia coli (3 T88) and Staphylococcus aureus (3Q8U). The receptor of Escherichia coli (3 T88) showed best interaction with Schiff base ligand (HL) compared to receptor of Staphylococcus aureu (3Q8U).  相似文献

An azo derivative was synthesized by coupling diazotized 2,6‐diaminopyridine with p‐dimethyl amino benzaldehyde and this new ligand formed a series of metal complexes with Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) salts. These complexes were characterized on the basis of elemental analyses, molar conductance, infrared spectroscopy, UV–Vis, 1H NMR, mass spectrometry, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility and ESR spectral studies, conductivity measurements, thermogravimetric analyses (TG‐DTG). The molecular and electronic structure of the azo ligand was optimized theoretically and the quantum chemical parameters were calculated. The ligand and its metal complexes were subjected to X‐ray powder diffraction study. The thermal stability of the ligand and its metal complexes was examined by thermogravimetry. The ligand and its complexes were tested for their in vitro antimicrobial activity, some of the complexes showed good antimicrobial activities against some selected bacterial and fungal strains. Anticancer activity of the ligand and its metal complexes are evaluated against human cancer (MCF‐7 cells viability). Molecular docking was used to predict the binding between azo ligand and the receptors of nucleoside diphosphate kinase of Staphylococcus aureus (3Q8U) and (3HB5) which is breast cancer mutant oxidoreductase. The docking study provided useful structural information for inhibition studies.  相似文献

A heteroscorpionate ligand, potassium hydrobis(benzoato)(salicylaldehyde)borate (KL), has been synthesized. This was converted into organotin complexes R2SnL2 and R3SnL complexes by mixing and stirring with a methanolic solution/suspension of organotin chloride. The ligand and its complexes were characterized by elemental analyses and spectral studies (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI mass spectra and Thermo gravimetric analysis (TGA)). Antibacterial and antifungal studies of these compounds were evaluated by the disc diffusion method at variable concentration against three species of bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumonia and Bacillius subtillis) and two species of fungi (Asperjillius fiavus and Candida albicans). It was found that triorganotin derivatives (R3SnL) of the ligand were more effective as compared with diorganotin derivatives (R2SnL2). The organotin complexes of borates were tested for their algicidal activity on the cyanobacterial strains Aulosira fertilissma, Anabaena species, Anabaena variabilis and Nostoc muscorum and showed high to moderate toxicity towards the above species. The ligand and its complexes were also tested for its pH effect on soil in vitro for a duration of more than one month and it was found that they are able to kill pests without damaging the soil quality. Seven mixed-ligand complexes of cobalt(II), nickel(II) and copper(II) containing benzoylacetone andL-proline (HL1), 2-pyrrolidone-5-carboxylic acid (HL2) orL-thioproline (HL3) were prepared and characterized by means of elemental analysis, IR, electronic spectra, magnetic moment measurements and molar conductance. Both HL1 and HL2 coordinate with these metal ions in a neutral zwitterionic form (-NH2-CH-COO), whereas HL3 coordinates as a monobasic chelating agent (O/N). The continuous thermochromism of the nickel(II) complex of HL1 (2) was attributed to a geometry change; it was investigated by DTA, TG, electronic spectra and X-ray powder diffraction techniques.  相似文献

A new series of Fe(III), Cr(III), and La(III) mixed-ligand complexes, resulting from the interaction of 2-aminophenol with 2-hydroxy acetophenone (HL1) as primary ligand and L- histidine (L2) as a secondary ligand, has been investigated using various physicochemical studies such as elemental analyses, molar conductivity, magnetic moment, infrared, UV/Vis, 1H NMR, and mass spectroscopic techniques. The microanalytical results indicate that the mixed ligand complexes were designed in a 1:1:1 M ratio. The electronic spectral data indicated that all the synthesized complexes have an octahedral structure. The disc diffusion assay was used to determine the disc inhibition zone (IZ, mm) and minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC, g/mL) of the investigated compounds against the growth of the pathogenic bacterial strains S. aureus, E. faecalis, P. aeruginosa, Klebsiella sp., and E. coli. The MTT test was used to determine the cytotoxicity of these reported compounds against the human hepatocellular liver cancer (HEPG-2) cell lines. The molecular docking study for the compounds against the EGFR tyrosine kinase receptor (PDB code: 1 M17) was conducted to examine the interactions in protein–ligand complexes. Furthermore, the biological activity of the ligand was investigated using quantitative structure–activity relationship studies (QSAR).  相似文献

Five new palladium(II) complexes with 4-toluenesulfonyl-L-amino acid dianion and en, [Pd(en)(TsserNO)] (1), [Pd(en)(TsglyNO)] (2), [Pd(en)(TsalaNO)]?·?1.5H2O (3), [Pd(en)(TsleuNO)]?·?H2O (4), and [Pd(en)(TspheNO)]?·?2H2O (5), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, 1H NMR, and mass spectrometry. Crystal structure of 1 has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. The cytotoxicity was tested by MTT and SRB assays. The results indicate 15 exert cytotoxic effects against HL-60, Bel-7402, BGC-823, and KB cell lines and 5 displays the best cytotoxicity. The structure–activity relationships suggest that both amino acid and N-containing ligands have important effects on cytotoxicity.  相似文献

A novel Schiff base ligand (H‐DPPMHQ) derived from 2‐hydrazineylquinoline and 1,3‐diphenyl‐1H‐pyrazole‐5‐carbaldehyde and its dimeric complexes with compositions [Cr(DPPMHQ)Cl]2?2Cl and [M(DPPMHQ)Cl]2 (where M = Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II)) have been synthesized and characterized using physicochemical methods like elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility and molar conductivity measurements, multispectral techniques and electrochemical studies. The molar conductance data reveal that all metal chelates are non‐electrolytes, except the Cr(III) complex which shows a ΛM value of 146.82 Ω?1 cm2 mol?1, indicating that it is a 1:2 electrolyte. Infrared spectral results show that the metal is organized through four nitrogen atoms (azomethine and deprotonated imine groups, pyrazole and quinoline rings) besides chlorine atoms. The NH proton is also displaced during complexation, as indicated by 1H NMR spectral data. Based on the electron spin resonance and ligand field parameter data, the bonding parameters of these complexes have been calculated. Using Coats–Redfern and Horowitz–Metzger equations, thermodynamic parameters were determined. The spectral data indicate that the dimeric complexes have octahedral geometry around the central metal ions. The cytotoxic activities of all compounds were evaluated towards human breast cancer (MCF‐7) and lung cancer (A549) cell lines.  相似文献

The syntheses of group 4 metal complexes containing the picolyldicarbollyl ligand DcabPyH [nido-7-HNC5H4(CH2)-8-R-7,8-C2B9H10] (2) are reported. New types of constrained geometry group 4 metal complexes (DcabPy)MCl2, [{(η5-RC2B9H9)(CH2)(η1-NC5H4)}MCl2] (M = Ti, 3; Zr, 4; R = H, a; Me, b), were prepared by the reaction of 2 with M(NMe2)2Cl2 (M = Ti, Zr). The reaction of 2 with M(NMe2)4 in toluene afforded (DcabPy)M(NMe2)2, [{(η5-RC2B9H9)(CH2)(η1-NC5H4)}M(NMe2)2] (M = Ti, 5; Zr, 6; R = H, a; Me, b), which readily reacted with Me3SiCl to yield the corresponding chloride complexes (DcabPy)MCl2 (M = Ti, 3; Zr, 4; R = H, a; Me, b). The structures of the diamido complexes (DcabPy)M(NMe2)2 (M = Ti, 5; Zr, 6) were established by X-ray diffraction studies of 5a, 5b, and 6a, which verified an η51-bonding mode derived from the dicarbollylamino ligand. Related constrained geometry catalyst CGC-type alkoxy titanium complexes, (DcabPy)Ti(OiPr)2 (7), were synthesized by the reaction of 2 with Ti(OiPr)4. Sterically less demanding phenols such as 2-Me-C6H4OH replaced the coordinated amido ligands on (DcabPy)Ti(NMe2)2 (5a) to yield aryloxy stabilized CGC complexes (DcabPy)Ti(OPhMe)2(PhMe  =  2- Me-C6H4, 8). NMR spectral data suggested that an intramolecular Ti-N coordination was intact in solution, resulting in a stable piano-stool structure with two aryloxy ligands residing in two of the leg positions. The aryloxy coordinations were further confirmed by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies on complexes (DcabPy)Ti(OPhMe)2 (8).  相似文献

On treatment of copper(II) acetate with aryl hydrazone ligands, four new solid derivatives of copper(II) were produced in appreciable yields. Various characterization techniques including infrared, UV–visible, NMR, electron paramagnetic resonance and mass spectroscopies, elemental analysis, scanning electron microscopy, powder X‐ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis revealed a tetra‐coordination in all the mononuclear crystalline complexes with high thermal stability. Further, significant interaction of these novel complexes with calf thymus DNA via intercalative mode of binding was revealed by electronic absorption spectroscopy. The chemical nuclease activity of the complexes on pBR322 DNA was investigated in the presence and absence of oxidizing agent (H2O2). A potent nuclease activity was observed only in the presence of H2O2. Further, antibacterial and antifungal studies of the new ligands and complexes revealed that the latter possessed comparatively better activity.  相似文献

Mixed-ligand platinum complexescis-PtII(R6NH2)(NH3)X2 andcis-PtII(R5NH2)(NH3)X2 (R6 is 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl-1-oxyl and R5 is 2,2,5,5-tetramethyl-3-pyrrolidinyl-1-oxyl) were synthesized by either the reaction of aminonitroxides RNH2 with Na[PtII(NH3)Cl2I] generatedin situ (for X2=ClI) or by replacement of the iodo-chloro ligands incis-Pt11(RNH2)(NH3)ClI by dichloro and oxalato ligands. The complexes obtained were characterized by elemental analysis and by IR, UV, and ESR spectra. Forcis-Pt11(R5NH2)(NH3)Cl2, crystal and molecular structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis. Cisplatin accelerates autooxidation of methyl linoleate and the platinum nitroxide complexes synthesized exhibit antioxidant properties. The rate of isolated DNA binding with the new complexes is almost as high as that for cisplatin.cis-Pt11(R6NH2)(NH3)Cl2 exhibits the highest antitumor activity. The high antitumor activity of platinum nitroxide complexes shows that the possible “radical component” is not a crucial factor in the cytotoxic action of cisplatin. New mixed ligand complexes of transition metals were synthesized from a Schiff base (L1) obtained by the condensation reaction of oxamide and furfural as primary ligand and 2,2′‐bipyridine (L2) as secondary ligand. The ligands and their metal complexes were studied using various spectroscopic methods. Also thermal analyses were conducted. The mixed ligand complexes were found to have formulae [M(L1)(L2)]Clm n H2O (M = Cr(III) and Fe(III): m  = 3, n  = 0; M = Cu(II) and Cd(II): m  = 2, n  = 1; M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Zn(II): m  = 2, n  = 0). The resultant data revealed that the metal complexes have octahedral structure. Also, the mixed ligand complexes are electrolytic. The biological and anticancer activities of the new compounds were tested against breast cancer (MCF‐7) and colon cancer (HCT‐116) cell lines. Tetrabromo-p-benzoquinone reacted with excess aromatic amines to give 2,5-dirylamino-3,6-dibromo-p-benzoquinones. The latter molecules on heating with sodium sulfide in alcohol in the presence of air gave triphenodithiazinediones. Heating with copper powder in nitrobenzene transformed these compounds into the respective indolocarbazolediones. Comparative antimicrobial and antifungal activities of the studied compounds were determined and discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

Eight new mixed ligand complexes of dioxomolybdenum(VI) with 2-hydroxy-3-methoxy/3,5-dibromo benzaldehyde 4-phenyl/ethyl-S-methyl/butyl thiosemicarbazones (L) were synthesized. The complexes of general formula [MoO2LD] (D: methanol, pyridine) were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV, and 1H-NMR spectroscopy. The structure of 3a was also determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The thiosemicarbazone ligands are coordinated to dioxomolybdenum(VI) center through ONN set and the sixth coordinated site of the molybdenum is occupied by the second ligand (D). The in vitro antimicrobial activities of all thiosemicarbazones and their dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes were tested against Candida albicans, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus.  相似文献

In this study, new benzoylthiourea derivatives, (E)-N-[(2-benzamidomethyleneamino)ethylcarbamothioyl]benzamide H3L′, N-(1-(3-benzoylthioureido)propan-2-ylcarbamothioyl)-benzamide H4L″, (E)-N-[4-(benzamidomethyleneamino)phenylcarbamothioyl]benzamide H3L‴, were synthesized. Structures of the compounds were identified by spectroscopic techniques. In addition, all synthesized compounds were evaluated for in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity. A series of Cu(II), Co(II), Pd(II), Pt(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Fe(III) complexes were designed and synthesized using Schiff base 1‐phenyl‐2,3‐dimethyl‐4‐(N‐3‐formyl‐6‐methylchromone)‐3‐pyrazolin‐5‐one (HL). The new metal complexes were investigated using various physicochemical techniques including elemental and thermal analyses, molar electric conductivity and magnetic susceptibility measurements, as well as spectroscopic methods. Also, the crystal structures of ligand HL and the Pd(II) complex were determined using single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. For all compounds, the antimicrobial activity was studied against a series of standard strains: Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus cereus, Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Acinetobacter baumannii, Candida albicans, Candida krusei and Cryptococcus neoformans. The in vitro antiproliferative activity of the ligand and complexes was evaluated against ten cancer cell lines: MSC, A375, B16 4A5, HT‐29, MCF‐7, HEp‐2, BxPC‐3, RD, MDCK and L20B. At 10 μM concentration a significant cytotoxic effect of the Co(II), Pd(II) and Cd(II) complexes was observed against B16 4A5 murine melanoma cells. The Zn(II) complex is active against HEp‐2, RD and MDCK cancer cell lines, where IC50 values vary between 1.0 and 77.6 and for BxPC‐3 the activity index versus doxorubicin is 3.7 times higher.  相似文献

In this study, two novel Schiff base ligands (L1 and L2) derived from condensation of methyl 2-amino-6-methyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrothieno[2,3-c]pyridine-3-carboxylate and methyl 2-amino-6-phenyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydrobenzo[b]thiophene-3-carboxylate, both starting matter with 5-bromo-salicylaldehyde, and their Zn(II) and Ni(II) metal complexes have been prepared using a molar ratio of ligand:metal as 1:1 except the Ru(II) complexes 1:0.5. The structures of the obtained ligands and their metal complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV–vis, thermal analysis methods, mass spectrometry, and magnetic susceptibility measurements. Antioxidant and antiradical activity of Schiff base ligands and their metal complexes were been evaluated in vitro tests. Antioxidant activities of metal complexes generally were more effectives than free Schiff bases. 1c and 2c were used as catalysts for the transfer hydrogenation (TH) of ketones. 1c, 2c complexes were found to be efficient catalyst for transfer hydrogenation reactions.  相似文献

将含过氧铌一、三取代钨硅、钨磷过氧杂多阴离子利用离子交换法嵌入Zn2Al类水滑石中制得层柱化合物,利用XRD,IR,UV等方法对产物的结构进行了表征。结果表明在层柱化合物中过氧杂多阴离子仍然保持Keggin结构,并且过氧键没被破坏。层柱化合物在酯化反应中显示优良的催化性能。  相似文献
