Materials having both magnetic and catalytic properties have shown great potential for practical applications. Here, a reduced graphene oxide/iron oxide/silver nanohybrid (rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH) ternary material was prepared by green synthesis of Ag on pre‐synthesized rGO/Fe3O4. The as‐prepared rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffractometry, Raman spectroscopy, vibrating sample magnetometry, transmission electron microscopy and energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy. rGO sheets were covered with Fe3O4 (8–16 nm) and Ag (18–40 nm) nanoparticles at high densities. The mass percentages were 13.47% (rGO), 62.52% (Fe3O4) and 24.01% (Ag). rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH exhibited superparamagnetic behavior with high saturated magnetization (29 emu g−1 at 12 kOe), and efficiently catalyzed the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP) with a rate constant of 0.37 min−1, comparable to those of Ag‐based nanocatalysts. The half‐life of 4‐NP in the presence of rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH was ca 1.86 min. rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH could be magnetically collected and reused, and retained a high conversion efficiency of 94.4% after the fourth cycle. rGO/Fe3O4/Ag NH could potentially be used as a magnetically recoverable catalyst in the reduction of 4‐NP and environmental remediation.  相似文献

A novel magnetic nanocomposite of Au-Ag nanoparticles anchored on Fe3O4/graphene oxide spheres (Fe3O4/GO/Au-Ag) was successfully fabricated by the layer-by-layer assembly technique. The prepared Fe3O4/GO/Au-Ag was fully characterized by Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and Raman spectroscopy. This nanocomposite showed unique catalytic performance for the synthesis of Spiro[indoline-3,5′-pyrido[2,3-d:6,5-d’]dipyrimidine]-pentaone derivatives by the three-component condensation reaction of isatins, barbituric acids and 6-amino uracil at room temperature and in aqueous media. The significant advantages of this protocol include highly stable, easily separable and reusable catalyst, simple operation, environmental friendliness and excellent yields.  相似文献

In this study, silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were decorated on the surface of magnetic nanoparticles in an eco-friendly pathway applying Mentha extract as reducing/stabilizing agent. The morphological and physicochemical features of the prepared Ag/Fe3O4nanocomposite were determined using several advanced techniques. Hence, our protocol is green and advantageous in terms of- i) biochemical modified biocompatible nanocomposite; ii) nanomaterial providing high surface area and larger number reactive sites; iii) very simplistic synthetic procedure; vi) very low load of metal in the composite and v) high yield in short time. In the medicinal part, the anticancer properties of Ag/Fe3O4 nanocomposite against lung cancer cell lines were determined. The free radical for the antioxidant effects was DPPH. The IC50 of Ag/Fe3O4 nanocomposite was 200 µg/ml in the antioxidant test. The IC50 of the Ag/Fe3O4 nanocomposite were 183, 176, 169, and 125 µg/mL against lung cancer (NCI-H661, NCI-H1975, NCI-H1573, and NCI-H1563) cell lines, respectively. In addition, the current study offer that Ag/Fe3O4 nanocomposite could be a new potential adjuvant chemopreventive and chemotherapeutic agent against cytotoxic cells.  相似文献

Au nanoparticles (Au NPs) play a vital role in heterogeneous catalytic reactions. However, pristine Au NPs usually suffer from poor selectivity and difficult recyclability. In this work, Fe3O4‐Au@CeO2 hybrid nanofibers were prepared via a simple one‐pot redox reaction between HAuCl4 and Ce (NO3)3 in the presence of Fe3O4 nanofibers. CeO2 shell was uniformly coated on the surface of Fe3O4 nanofibers to form a unique core‐shell structure, while Au NPs were encapsulated inside the CeO2 shell. The as‐prepared Fe3O4‐Au@CeO2 hybrid nanofibers have been proved to be positively surface charged due to the formation of CeO2 shell, enabling them to be good candidates for predominant selective catalytic activity towards the degradation of negatively charged organic dyes. In addition, the Fe3O4‐Au@CeO2 hybrid nanofibers showed magnetic properties, offering them excellent recyclable usability. This work presents a facile and effective solution to prepare magnetic noble metal/metal oxide hybrid nanomaterials with unique chemical structure and surface characteristic for promising applications in heterogeneous catalysis.  相似文献

An eco-friendly process for rapid synthesis of silver nanoparticles has been reported using aqueous seed extract of Jatropha curcas. Formation of stable silver nanoparticles at different concentration of AgNO3 gives mostly spherical particles with diameter ranging from 15 to 50 nm. The resulting silver particles are characterized using HRTEM, XRD and UV–vis spectroscopic techniques. XRD study shows that the particles are crystalline in nature with face centered cubic geometry.  相似文献

This paper reports the green and in situ preparation of Fe3O4@SiO2‐Ag magnetic nanocatalyst synthesized using safflower (Carthamus tinctorius L.) flower extract without the addition of any stabilizers or surfactants. The catalytic performance of the resulting nanocatalyst was examined for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol (4‐NP), methylene blue (MB) and methyl orange (MO) in an environment‐friendly medium at room temperature. The main factors such as pH, temperature and amount of catalyst influencing the nanocatalyst performance were studied. The apparent rate constants for 4‐NP, MO and MB reduction were calculated, being 0.756 min?1, 0.064 s?1 and 0.09 s?1, respectively. The catalyst was recovered using an external magnet and reused several times with negligible loss of catalytic activity. The as‐synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using powder X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, UV–visible, Fourier transform infrared and inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopies, dynamic light scattering and vibrating sample magnetometry.  相似文献

Nanoparticles have been used century ago but have regained their importance in recent years being simple, ecofriendly, pollutant free, nontoxic, low-cost approach, and due good atom economy. In this report, we have demonstrated the synthesis of silver nanoparticles using green algae (Chlorella vulgaris) which in turn was used for synthesis of biologically important quinolines. Algal extract was prepared and treated with silver nitrate solution for the synthesis of silver nanoparticles. Synthesized nanoparticles were characterized with the help of analytical tools like UV, FTIR, X-ray, and SEM and used as a catalyst for the synthesis of quinolines.  相似文献

Abstract

Heterogenization of organic and metallic catalysts with a solid support is an attractive and useful strategy to solve the separation and recovery problems of catalysts. During the last decade, magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in general ferrite nanoparticles (MFe2O4 NPs) have emerged as a highly efficient support for catalysis, due to their simple fabrication, modification, and large surface area ratio. In this paper, we provide an overview of the utilization of organic and metallic molecules immobilized on magnetic ferrite nanoparticles (MFe2O4 NPs) as attractive and efficient catalytic systems in wide variety of in organic reactions.  相似文献

In this research, a novel magnetic mesoporous adsorbent with mixed phase of Fe2O3/Mn3O4 nanocomposite was prepared by a facile precipitating method and characterized extensively. The prepared nanocomposite was used as adsorbent for toxic methyl orange (MO) dye removal from aqua matrix considering its high surface area (178.27 m2/g) with high saturation magnetization (23.07 emu/g). Maximum dye adsorption occurs at solution pH 2.0 and the electrostatic attraction between anionic form of MO dye molecules and the positively charged nanocomposite surface is the main driving force behind this adsorption. Response surface methodology (RSM) was used for optimizing the process variables and maximum MO removal of 97.67% is obtained at optimum experimental condition with contact time, adsorbent dose and initial MO dye concentration of 45 min, 0.87 g/l and 116 mg/l, respectively. Artificial neural network (ANN) model with optimum topology of 3–5–1 was developed for predicting the MO removal (%), which has shown higher predictive ability than RSM model. Maximum adsorption capacity of this nanocomposite was found to be 322.58 mg/g from Langmuir isotherm model. Kinetic studies reveal the applicability of second‐order kinetic model with contribution of intra‐particle diffusion in this process.  相似文献

A novel heterogenized organometallic catalyst was synthesized by coordinating palladium with polyvinyl alcohol‐functionalized Fe3O4@SiO2 nanospheres. This novel catalyst was characterized using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscope, field emission scanning electron microscope, dynamic light scattering, UV–vis spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy, energy dispersive X‐ray analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and inductively coupled plasma analysis. The prepared palladium nanoparticles supported on polyvinyl alcohol functionalized Fe3O4@SiO2 nanoparticles were successfully applied as a magnetically recyclable catalyst in Heck and Sonogashira coupling reactions in water. They showed remarkable activity toward aryl halides (I, Br, Cl) using very low palladium loading in excellent yields and demonstrated high TONs (mmol of product per mmol of catalyst). Also, the catalyst could be magnetically separated and reused seven times without any appreciable loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

We used a simple two-stage tactic to design and synthesize a magnetically separable catalyst (MSC) Ag/Fe3O4 by combining independently synthesized Fe3O4 and Jatropha curcas root functionalized Ag nanoparticles (NPs) at room temperature. The phase composition of Ag/Fe3O4 NCs was revealed by morphological and structural assessment. The derived Ag/Fe3O4 nanocomposites demonstrated outstanding antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative Pseudomonas aeruginosa comparing to Gram-positive Bacillus subtilis which was determined by the agar well diffusion method. This is due to positively charged surface of metal oxide NPs that may bind to cell membrane. Interestingly, Ag–Fe3O4 NCs demonstrated good photocatalytic activity for organic dye degradation. According to a kinetic study, Ag/Fe3O4 MSC removed 99% of Rhodamine B at a rate constant of 1.89 min?1. The photoelectron could perhaps ultimately collide only with dissolved solids in the substrate to form superoxides, which can damage the dye. Notably, the MSCs reusability was tested using magnetic detachment without sacrificing photocatalytic efficiency. This finding represents a significant breakthrough in the domain of wastewater treatment and biomedicine.  相似文献

In this work, biosynthesized Fe3O4@Ni nanoparticles using Euphorbia maculata aqueous have been used as effective catalysts in the synthesis of 2,3-disubstituted benzo[b]furan derivatives using three component coupling of aldehydes, secondary amines and alkynes (A3 coupling reaction). Using novel nanoscale materials, the current green, practical and economical method leads to short reaction times and high yields. The biosynthesized catalyst was also successfully employed in the Sonogashira cross-coupling reactions of various aryl halides with phenylacetylene. The best performance was observed using just 20 mg of the catalyst and ethanol as a green solvent. The developed protocol provides easy workup, short reaction times and good to excellent product yields. Furthermore, since the composite is highly stable, an external permanent magnet can be easily used for separating the catalyst. Thus, the catalyst can be recycled several times without considerable loss of catalytic activity.  相似文献

Aryl halides and especially inactive aryl chlorides were coupled to benzenoid aromatic rings in a Suzuki–Miyaura coupling reaction in the absence of organic solvents and toxic phosphine ligands. The reaction was catalysed by a recoverable magnetic nanocatalyst, Pd@Fe3O4, in aqueous media. This method is green, and the catalyst is easily removed from the reaction media using an external magnetic field and can be re‐used at least 10 times without any considerable loss in its activity. The catalyst was characterized using scanning and transmission electron microscopies, thermogravimetric analysis, inductively coupled plasma spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, CHN analysis, X‐ray diffraction and vibrating sample magnetometry.  相似文献

A core–shell Fe3O4@silica magnetic nanocomposite functionalized with 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole (Fe3O4/SiO2/PTS/AMTA) was prepared using Fe3O4 with silica layer, and its surface was modified with 3-amino-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazole. The novel synthesized magnetite nanocomposite was characterized using various techniques. The catalytic activity of Fe3O4/SiO2/PTS/AMTA was demonstrated in the synthesis of bis(indolyl)methane derivatives under solvent-free conditions. Some of the bis(indolyl)methane derivatives were synthesized through one-pot, three-component reaction of 1 mol of various benzaldehydes or ketones with 2 mol of indole in the presence of Fe3O4/SiO2/PTS/AMTA in good to excellent isolated yields. In addition, the catalyst could be recovered and used for several reaction runs without loss of catalytic activity. The stability of recycled catalyst was investigated. This method has some advantages including experimental simplicity, good to excellent yields, solvent-free conditions and stability and reusability of the catalyst.  相似文献

Green tea extract having many phenolic hydroxyl and carbonyl functional groups in its molecular framework can be used in the modification of Fe3O4 nanoparticles. Moreover, the feasibility of complexation of polyphenols with silver ions in aqueous solution can improve the surface properties and capacity of the Fe3O4@green tea extract nanoparticles (Fe3O4@GTE NPs) for sorption and reduction of silver ions. Therefore, the novel Fe3O4@GTE NPs nano‐sorbent has potential ability as both reducing and stabilizing agent for immobilization of silver nanoparticles to make a novel magnetic silver nanocatalyst (Fe3O4@GTE/Ag NPs). Inductively coupled plasma analysis, transmission and scanning electron microscopies, energy‐dispersive X‐ray and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopies, and vibrating sample magnetometry were used to characterize the catalyst. Fe3O4@GTE/Ag NPs shows high catalytic activity as a recyclable nanocatalyst for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol at room temperature.  相似文献

This study focuses on the green synthesis of silver and gold nanoparticles using the marine algae extract, Sargassum horneri, as well as the degradation of organic dyes using biosynthesized nanoparticles as catalysts. The phytochemicals of the brown algae Sargassum horneri acted as reducing and capping agents for nanoparticle synthesis. Ultraviolet–visible absorption spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, selected area electron diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray powder diffraction, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the biosynthesized nanoparticles. The green-synthesized SH-AgNPs and SH-AuNPs exhibited high catalytic activity for degradation of organic dyes, such as methylene blue, rhodamine B, and methyl orange. The reduction reactions of dyes are based on pseudo-first-order kinetics.  相似文献

Here, a green method is described for the biosynthesis of Ag nanoparticles (Ag NPs) using aqueous extracts of the leaf of Salvia leriifolia as reducing and stabilizing agent. Various techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X‐ray diffraction (XRD) were employed for the characterization of the structure and morphology of bio‐synthesized AgNPs. The results reveal that AgNPs synthesized with uniform spherical morphology and average diameters of 27 nm. The AgNPs as a green and efficient heterogeneous catalyst presented superior antibacterial activity. Direct electrochemistry studies of the synthesized AgNPs confirmed that nanoparticles retained their direct electrochemical activity. This is mainly attributed to the proper biosynthesis process, the large specific surface area and the good conductivity of the synthesized nanoparticles. Hence, the present synthesized AgNPs displayed good electrocatalytic activity to the reduction of nitrite ions. The proposed method is highly recommended as a novel platform for the development of electrochemical sensors which can further expand the applications of AgNPs. Antibacterial activity of the synthesized AgNPs was evaluated against nine microorganisms. AgNPs prevented the growth of all selected bacteria. The nanoparticles inhibited the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumonia, Staphylococcus coagulase, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Streptococcus pneumonia more than antibiotic of vancomycin, however, the ability of AgNPs against Echerishia coli and Serratia marcescens was less than the antibiotic. On the other hand AgNPs were active against Citrobacter frurdii, while the antibiotic was inactive.  相似文献
