Dual‐ion batteries (DIBs) have attracted much attention owing to their low cost, high voltage, and environmental friendliness. As the source of active ions during the charging/discharging process, the electrolyte plays a critical role in the performance of DIBs, including capacity, energy density, and cycling life. However, most used electrolyte systems based on the LiPF6 salt demonstrate unsatisfactory performance in DIBs. We have successfully developed a 7.5 mol kg?1 lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide (LiFSI) in a carbonate electrolyte system. Compared with diluted electrolytes, this highly concentrated electrolyte exhibits several advantages: 1) enhanced intercalation capacity and cycling stability of the graphite cathode, 2) optimized structural stability of the Al anode, and 3) significantly increased battery energy density. A proof‐of‐concept DIB based on this concentrated electrolyte exhibits a discharge capacity of 94.0 mAh g?1 at 200 mA g?1 and 96.8 % capacity retention after 500 cycles. By counting both the electrode materials and electrolyte, the energy density of this DIB reaches up to ≈180 Wh kg?1, which is among the best performances of DIBs reported to date.  相似文献

Hydronium-ion batteries have received significant attention owing to the merits of extraordinary sustainability and excellent rate abilities. However, achieving high-performance hydronium-ion batteries remains a challenge due to the inferior properties of anode materials in strong acid electrolyte. Herein, a hydronium-ion battery is constructed which is based on a diquinoxalino [2,3-a:2’,3’-c] phenazine (HATN) anode and a MnO2@graphite felt cathode in a hybrid acidic electrolyte. The fast kinetics of hydronium-ion insertion/extraction into HATN electrode endows the HATN//MnO2@GF battery with enhanced electrochemical performance. This battery exhibits an excellent rate performance (266 mAh g−1 at 0.5 A g−1, 97 mAh g−1 at 50 A g−1), attractive energy density (182.1 Wh kg−1) and power density (31.2 kW kg−1), along with long-term cycle stability. These results shed light on the development of advanced hydronium-ion batteries.  相似文献

The irreversibility of anion intercalation-deintercalation is a fundamental issue in determining the cycling stability of a dual-ion battery (DIB). In this work, we demonstrate that using a partially fluorinated carbonate solvent can drive a beneficial fluorinated secondary interphase layer formation. Such layer facilitates reversible anion (de−)intercalation processes by impeding solvent molecule co-intercalation and the associated graphite exfoliation. The enhanced reversibility of anion transport contributes to the overall cycling stability for a Zn-graphite DIB—a high Coulombic efficiency of 98.5 % after 800 cycles, with an attractive discharge capacity of 156 mAh g−1 and a mid-point discharge voltage of ≈1.7 V (at 0.1 A g−1). In addition, the formed fluorinated secondary interphase suppresses the self-discharge behavior, preserving 29 times of the capacity retention rate compared to the battery with a commonly used carbonate solvent, after standing for 24 hours. This work provides a simple and effective strategy for addressing the critical challenges in graphite-based DIBs and contributes to fundamental understanding to help accelerate their practical application.  相似文献

We have synthesized and characterized perovskite‐type SrCo0.9Nb0.1O3−δ (SCN) as a novel anion‐intercalated electrode material for supercapacitors in an aqueous KOH electrolyte, demonstrating a very high volumetric capacitance of about 2034.6 F cm−3 (and gravimetric capacitance of ca. 773.6 F g−1) at a current density of 0.5 A g−1 while maintaining excellent cycling stability with a capacity retention of 95.7 % after 3000 cycles. When coupled with an activated carbon (AC) electrode, the SCN/AC asymmetric supercapacitor delivered a specific energy density as high as 37.6 Wh kg−1 with robust long‐term stability.  相似文献

Tungsten oxide/graphene hybrid materials are attractive semiconductors for energy-related applications. Herein, we report an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC, HRG//m-WO3 ASC), fabricated from monoclinic tungsten oxide (m-WO3) nanoplates as a negative electrode and highly reduced graphene oxide (HRG) as a positive electrode material. The supercapacitor performance of the prepared electrodes was evaluated in an aqueous electrolyte (1 m H2SO4) using three- and two-electrode systems. The HRG//m-WO3 ASC exhibits a maximum specific capacitance of 389 F g−1 at a current density of 0.5 A g−1, with an associated high energy density of 93 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 500 W kg−1 in a wide 1.6 V operating potential window. In addition, the HRG//m-WO3 ASC displays long-term cycling stability, maintaining 92 % of the original specific capacitance after 5000 galvanostatic charge–discharge cycles. The m-WO3 nanoplates were prepared hydrothermally while HRG was synthesized by a modified Hummers method.  相似文献

Lithium ion batteries (LIBs) at present still suffer from low rate capability and poor cycle life during fast ion insertion/extraction processes. Searching for high-capacity and stable anode materials is still an ongoing challenge. Herein, a facile strategy for the synthesis of ultrathin GeS2 nanosheets with the thickness of 1.1 nm is reported. When used as anodes for LIBs, the two-dimensional (2D) structure can effectively increase the electrode/electrolyte interface area, facilitate the ion transport, and buffer the volume expansion. Benefiting from these merits, the as-synthesized GeS2 nanosheets deliver high specific capacity (1335 mAh g−1 at 0.15 A g−1), extraordinary rate performance (337 mAh g−1 at 15 A g−1) and stable cycling performance (974 mAh g−1 after 200 cycles at 0.5 A g−1). Importantly, our fabricated Li-ion full cells manifest an impressive specific capacity of 577 mAh g−1 after 50 cycles at 0.1 A g−1 and a high energy density of 361 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 346 W kg−1. Furthermore, the electrochemical reaction mechanism is investigated by the means of ex-situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. These results suggest that GeS2 can use to be an alternative anode material and encourage more efforts to develop other high-performance LIBs anodes.  相似文献

Bipolar redox organics have attracted interest as electrode materials for energy storage owing to their flexibility, sustainability and environmental friendliness. However, an understanding of their application in all‐organic batteries, let alone dual‐ion batteries (DIBs), is in its infancy. Herein, we propose a strategy to screen a variety of phthalocyanine‐based bipolar organics. The self‐polymerizable bipolar Cu tetraaminephthalocyanine (CuTAPc) shows multifunctional applications in various energy storage systems, including lithium‐based DIBs using CuTAPc as the cathode material, graphite‐based DIBs using CuTAPc as the anode material and symmetric DIBs using CuTAPc as both the cathode and anode materials. Notably, in lithium‐based DIBs, the use of CuTAPc as the cathode material results in a high discharge capacity of 236 mAh g?1 at 50 mA g?1 and a high reversible capacity of 74.3 mAh g?1 after 4000 cycles at 4 A g?1. Most importantly, a high energy density of 239 Wh kg?1 and power density of 11.5 kW kg?1 can be obtained in all‐organic symmetric DIBs.  相似文献

Herein, we have developed a sodium ion based aqueous energy storage device with nickel prussian-blue-analogue (Ni-PBA) positive and functionalized carbon-black negative electrodes in 1 M Na2SO4 electrolyte solution. The components required to develop the device, i. e., stainless steel (SS) current-collectors, absorbent-glass-mat separator, electrolyte, carbon-black, and precursors of Ni-PBA, are all environmentally benign and inexpensive. To minimize the corrosion of pristine-SS, polyaniline coating on the SS surface is applied by in situ electrodeposition method. The full cell exhibits a specific capacity of 28 mAh g−1 with 90 % Coulomb efficiency (@0.2C), an energy density of 34 Wh kg−1 (@20 W kg−1), a power density of 100 W kg−1 (@18 Wh kg−1) and a good life cycle (70 % capacity-retention over 500 cycles @1.0C rate) within the 0–1.2 V window. The cell performance is further tested under variable temperatures, and 0–50 °C range is reported to be the working window for this cell.  相似文献

Here, flower-like manganese oxide with enriched oxygen vacancies were reported for high performance supercapacitors. The moderate oxygen-vacancy were achieved by controlling annealing atmosphere. Benefiting from improving the conductivity and the density of active sites, MnOx−Ar sample as an electrode material has remarkable specific capacity (339 mAh g−1 at 0.5 A g−1), extraordinary rate capability (90 % capacity retention at 1 A g−1), and good cycling property (90 % capacity retention at 1 A g−1 after 5000 cycles). Additionally, the asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) was assembled which used the MnOx−Ar sample as cathode and Kochen Black (KB) as anode, which displayed a remarkable energy density (16 Wh kg−1) at a large power density (7593 W kg−1). These results, on the one hand, further expand the application of MnO2-based materials, and on the other hand, offer a new perspective for the oxygen non-stoichiometry in material electrochemistry.  相似文献

Dual-ion batteries (DIBs) is a promising technology for large-scale energy storage. However, it is still questionable how material structures affect the anion storage behavior. In this paper, we synthesis graphite with an ultra-large interlayer distance and heteroatomic doping to systematically investigate the combined effects on DIBs. The large interlayer distance of 0.51 nm provides more space for anion storage, while the doping of the heteroatoms reduces the energy barriers for anion intercalation and migration and enhances rapid ionic storage at interfaces simultaneously. Based on the synergistic effects, the DIBs composed of carbon cathode and lithium anode afford ultra-high capacity of 240 mAh g−1 at current density of 100 mA g−1. Dual-carbon batteries (DCBs) using the graphite as both of cathode and anode steadily cycle 2400 times at current density of 1 A g−1. Hence, this work provides a reference to the strategy of material designs of DIBs and DCBs.  相似文献

Iodine has great potential in the energy storage, but high solubility of I3 has seriously delayed its promotion. Benefited from abundant active sites and the open channel, two-dimensional coordination supramolecular networks (2D CSNs) is considered to be a candidate for the energy storage. Herein, a 2D porphyrin-CSN cathode named Zn-TCPP for aqueous iodine dual-ion battery (DIB) shows an excellent specific capacity of 278 mAh g−1, and a high energy density of 340 Wh kg−1 at 5 A g−1, as well as a durable cycle performance of 5000 cycles and a high Coulombic efficiency of 98 %. Molecular orbital theory, UV/VIS, Raman spectroscopy and density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal charge-transfer interaction between the donor of porphyrin nitrogen and the acceptor of I3, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations demonstrate the contribution of 2D layered network structure of Zn-TCPP to the penetration of I3.  相似文献

Hierarchical hollow structures for electrode materials of supercapacitors could enlarge the surface area, accelerate the transport of ions and electrons, and accommodate volume expansion during cycling. Besides, construction of heterostructures would enhance the internal electric fields to regulate the electronic structures. All these features of hierarchical hollow heterostructures are beneficial for promoting the electrochemical properties and stability of electrode materials for high‐performance supercapacitors. Herein, CoO/Co‐Cu‐S hierarchical tubular heterostructures (HTHSs) composed of nanoneedles are prepared by an efficient multi‐step approach. The optimized sample exhibits a high specific capacity of 320 mAh g?1 (2300 F g?1) at 2.0 A g?1 and outstanding cycling stability with 96.5 % of the initial capacity retained after 5000 cycles at 10 A g?1. Moreover, an all‐solid‐state hybrid supercapacitor (HSC) constructed with the CoO/Co‐Cu‐S and actived carbon shows a stable and high energy density of 90.7 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 800 W kg?1.  相似文献

The design of hierarchical electrodes comprising multiple components with a high electrical conductivity and a large specific surface area has been recognized as a feasible strategy to remarkably boost pseudocapacitors. Herein, we delineate hexagonal sheets-in-cage shaped nickel–manganese sulfides (Ni-Mn-S) with nanosized open spaces for supercapacitor applications to realize faster redox reactions and a lower charge-transfer resistance with a markedly enhanced specific capacitance. The hybrid was facilely prepared through a two-step hydrothermal method. Benefiting from the synergistic effect between Ni and Mn active sites with the improvement of both ionic and electric conductivity, the resulting Ni-Mn-S hybrid displays a high specific capacitance of 1664 F g−1 at a current density of 1 A g−1 and a capacitance of 785 F g−1 is maintained at a current density of 50 A g−1, revealing an outstanding capacity and rate performance. The asymmetric supercapacitor device assembled with the Ni-Mn-S hexagonal sheets-in-cage as the positive electrode delivers a maximum energy density of 40.4 Wh kg−1 at a power density of 750 W kg−1. Impressively, the cycling retention of the as-fabricated device after 10 000 cycles at a current density of 10 A g−1 reaches 85.5 %. Thus, this hybrid with superior capacitive performance holds great potential as an effective charge-storage material.  相似文献

A 3D hierarchical carbon cloth/nitrogen-doped carbon nanowires/Ni@MnO2 (CC/N-CNWs/Ni@MnO2) nanocomposite electrode was rationally designed and prepared by electrodeposition. The N-CNWs derived from polypyrrole (PPy) nanowires on the carbon cloth have an open framework structure, which greatly increases the contact area between the electrode and electrolyte and provides short diffusion paths. The incorporation of the Ni layer between the N-CNWs and MnO2 is beneficial for significantly enhancing the electrical conductivity and boosting fast charge transfer as well as improving the charge-collection capacity. Thus, the as-prepared 3D hierarchical CC/N-CNWs/Ni@MnO2 electrode exhibits a higher specific capacitance of 571.4 F g−1 compared with those of CC/N-CNWs@MnO2 (311 F g−1), CC/Ni@MnO2 (196.6 F g−1), and CC@MnO2 (186.1 F g−1) at 1 A g−1 and remarkable rate capability (367.5 F g−1 at 10 A g−1). Moreover, asymmetric supercapacitors constructed with CC/N-CNWs/Ni@MnO2 as cathode material and activated carbon as anode material deliver an impressive energy density of 36.4 W h kg−1 at a power density of 900 W kg−1 and a good cycling life (72.8 % capacitance retention after 3500 cycles). This study paves a low-cost and simple way to design a hierarchical nanocomposite electrode with large surface area and superior electrical conductivity, which has wide application prospects in high-performance supercapacitors.  相似文献

Conversion-type batteries apply the principle that more charge transfer is preferable. The underutilized electron transfer mode within two undermines the electrochemical performance of halogen batteries. Here, we realised a three-electron transfer lithium-halogen battery based on I/I+ and Cl/Cl0 couples by using a common commercial electrolyte saturated with Cl anions. The resulting Li||tetrabutylammonium triiodide (TBAI3) cell exhibits three distinct discharging plateaus at 2.97, 3.40, and 3.85 V. Moreover, it has a high capacity of 631 mAh g−1I (265 mAh g−1electrode, based on entire mass loading) and record-high energy density of up to 2013 Wh kg−1I (845 Wh kg−1electrode). To support these findings, experimental characterisations and density functional theory calculations were conducted to elucidate the redox chemistry involved in this novel interhalogen strategy. We believe our paradigm presented here has a foreseeable inspiring effect on other halogen batteries for high-energy-density pursuit.  相似文献

Multi-wall Sn/SnO2@carbon hollow nanofibers evolved from SnO2 nanofibers are designed and programable synthesized by electrospinning, polypyrrole coating, and annealing reduction. The synthesized hollow nanofibers have a special wire-in-double-wall-tube structure with larger specific surface area and abundant inner spaces, which can provide effective contacting area of electrolyte with electrode materials and more active sites for redox reaction. It shows excellent cycling stability by virtue of effectively alleviating pulverization of tin-based electrode materials caused by volume expansion. Even after 2000 cycles, the wire-in-double-wall-tube Sn/SnO2@carbon nanofibers exhibit a high specific capacity of 986.3 mAh g−1 (1 A g−1) and still maintains 508.2 mAh g−1 at high current density of 5 A g−1. This outstanding electrochemical performance suggests the multi-wall Sn/SnO2@ carbon hollow nanofibers are great promising for high performance energy storage systems.  相似文献

Rational designing and constructing multiphase hybrid electrode materials is an effective method to compensate for the performance defects of the single component. Based on this strategy, Cu2Se hexagonal nanosheets@Co3Se4 nanospheres mixed structures have been fabricated by a facile two-step hydrothermal method. Under the synergistic effect of the high ionic conductivity of Cu2Se and the remarkable cycling stability of Co3Se4, Cu2Se@Co3Se4 can exhibit outstanding electrochemical performance as a novel electrode material. The as-prepared Cu2Se@Co3Se4 electrode displays high specific capacitance of 1005 F g−1 at 1 A g−1 with enhanced rate capability (56 % capacitance retention at 10 A g−1), and ultralong lifespan (94.2 % after 10 000 cycles at 20 A g−1). An asymmetric supercapacitor is assembled applying the Cu2Se@Co3Se4 as anode and graphene as cathode, which delivers a wide work potential window of 1.6 V, high energy density (30.9 Wh kg−1 at 0.74 kW kg−1), high power density (21.0 Wh kg−1 at 7.50 kW kg−1), and excellent cycling stability (85.8 % after 10 000 cycles at 10 A g−1).  相似文献

In this work, the ternary hybrid structure VSe2/SWCNTs/rGO is reported for supercapacitor applications. The ternary composite exhibits a high specific capacitance of 450 F g−1 in a symmetric cell configuration, with maximum energy density of 131.4 Wh kg−1 and power density of 27.49 kW kg−1. The ternary hybrid also shows a cyclic stability of 91 % after 5000 cycles. Extensive density functional theory (DFT) simulations on the structure as well as on the electronic properties of the binary hybrid structure VSe2/SWCNTs and the ternary hybrid structure VSe2/SWCNTs/rGO have been carried out. Due to a synergic effect, there are enhanced density of states near the Fermi level and higher quantum capacitance for the hybrid ternary structure compared to VSe2/SWCNTs, leading to higher energy and power density for VSe2/SWCNTs/rGO, supporting our experimental observation. Computed diffusion energy barrier of electrolyte ions (K+) predicts that ions move faster in the ternary structure, providing higher charge storage performance.  相似文献

The cost-efficient ZnMnO3 has attracted increasing attention as a prospective anode candidate for advanced lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) owing to its resourceful abundance, large lithium storage capacity and low operating voltage. However, its practical application is still seriously limited by the modest cycling and rate performances. Herein, a facile design to scalable synthesize unique one-dimensional (1D) mesoporous ZnMnO3 nanorods (ZMO-NRs) composed of nanoscale particles (≈11 nm) is reported. The 1D mesoporous structure and nanoscale building blocks of the ZMO-NRs effectively promote the transport of ions/electrons, accommodate severe volume changes, and expose more active sites for lithium storage. Benefiting from these appealing structural merits, the obtained ZMO-NRs anode exhibits excellent rate behavior (≈454 mAh g−1 at 2 A g−1) and ultra-long term cyclic performance (≈949.7 mAh g−1 even over 500 cycles at 0.5 A g−1) for efficient lithium storage. Additionally, the LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2//ZMO-NRs full cell presents a practical energy density (≈192.2 Wh kg−1) and impressive cyclability with approximately 91 % capacity retention over 110 cycles. This highlights that the ZMO-NRs product is a highly promising high-rate and stable electrode candidate towards advanced LIBs in electronic devices and sustainable energy storage applications.  相似文献

Metal–organic framework cathodes usually exhibit low capacity and poor electrochemical performance for Li-ion storage owing to intrinsic low conductivity and inferior redox activity. Now a redox-active 2D copper–benzoquinoid (Cu-THQ) MOF has been synthesized by a simple solvothermal method. The abundant porosity and intrinsic redox character endow the 2D Cu-THQ MOF with promising electrochemical activity. Superior performance is achieved as a Li-ion battery cathode with a high reversible capacity (387 mA h g−1), large specific energy density (775 Wh kg−1), and good cycling stability. The reaction mechanism is unveiled by comprehensive spectroscopic techniques: a three-electron redox reaction per coordination unit and one-electron redox reaction per copper ion mechanism is demonstrated. This elucidatory understanding sheds new light on future rational design of high-performance MOF-based cathode materials for efficient energy storage and conversion.  相似文献
