We introduce equivariant twisted cohomology of a simplicial set equipped with simplicial action of a discrete group and prove that for suitable twisting function induced from a given equivariant local coefficients, the simplicial version of Bredon-Illman cohomology with local coefficients is isomorphic to equivariant twisted cohomology. The main aim of this paper is to prove a classification theorem for equivariant simplicial cohomology with local coefficients.  相似文献

We construct local-to-global spectral sequences for the cohomology of a diagram, which compute the cohomology of the full diagram in terms of smaller pieces. These are motivated by the obstruction theory of D. Blanc et al. [D. Blanc, M.W. Johnson, J.M. Turner, On realizing diagrams of Π-algebras, Algebraic Geom. Topol. 6 (2006) 763-807] for realizing a diagram of Π-algebras, but are valid in quite general algebraic settings.  相似文献

The KABI conjecture states that double relative K-theory and cyclic homology agree, at least in characteristic zero. We show that K 2(A, B, I) maps onto HC 1 (A, B, I) whenever A B is a map of Q-algebras and I BIB. We develop some new aspects of cohomology in the context of semi-abelian categories: we establish a Hochschild-Serre 5-term exact sequence extending the classical one for groups and Lie algebras; we prove that an object is perfect if and only if it admits a universal central extension; we show how the second Barr-Beck cohomology group classifies isomorphism classes of central extensions; we prove a universal coefficient theorem to explain the relationship with homology.  相似文献

Let X be a 1-connected space with free-loop space ΛX. We introduce two spectral sequences converging towards H*(ΛX;Z/p) and H*((ΛX)hT;Z/p). The E2-terms are certain non-Abelian-derived functors applied to H*(X;Z/p). When H*(X;Z/p) is a polynomial algebra, the spectral sequences collapse for more or less trivial reasons. If X is a sphere it is a surprising fact that the spectral sequences collapse for p=2.  相似文献

In the present paper, we prove that for an n-dimensional compact orbifold with an s-homological orientation, the duality of the ws-singular cohomology group and the t-singular homology group holds. The key tools are “the t-modification of the cap product” for giving the duality homomorphism and “the Convex Suborbifold Theorem” for extending the local duality isomorphism to the global one. The duality theorem proved in the present paper is a naturally required consequence of the preceding works of the authors.  相似文献

We show that three different kinds of cohomologies - Baues-Wirsching cohomology, the (S,O)-cohomology of Dwyer and Kan, and the André-Quillen cohomology of aΠ-algebra  - are isomorphic, under certain assumptions. This is then used to identify the cohomological obstructions in three general approaches to realizability problems: the track category version of Baues and Wirsching, the diagram rectifications of Dwyer, Kan, and Smith, and the Π-algebra realization of Dwyer, Kan, and Stover. Our main tool in this identification is the notion of a mapping algebra: a simplicially enriched version of an algebra over a theory.  相似文献

We introduce and study wheeled PROPs, an extension of the theory of PROPs which can treat traces and, in particular, solutions to the master equations which involve divergence operators. We construct a dg free wheeled PROP whose representations are in one-to-one correspondence with formal germs of SP-manifolds, key geometric objects in the theory of Batalin-Vilkovisky quantization. We also construct minimal wheeled resolutions of classical operads and as non-trivial extensions of the well-known dg operads and . Finally, we apply the above results to a computation of cohomology of a directed version of Kontsevich’s complex of ribbon graphs.  相似文献

We show that Verdier duality for certain sheaves on the moduli spaces of graphs associated to differential graded operads corresponds to the cobar-duality of operads (which specializes to Koszul duality for Koszul operads). This in particular gives a conceptual explanation of the appearance of graph cohomology of both the commutative and Lie types in computations of the cohomology of the outer automorphism group of a free group. Another consequence is an explicit computation of dualizing sheaves on spaces of metric graphs, thus characterizing to which extent these spaces are different from oriented orbifolds. We also provide a relation between the cohomology of the space of metric ribbon graphs, known to be homotopy equivalent to the moduli space of Riemann surfaces, and the cohomology of a certain sheaf on the space of usual metric graphs.  相似文献

We endow the category of bialgebras over a pair of operads in distribution with a cofibrantly generated model category structure. We work in the category of chain complexes over a field of characteristic zero. We split our construction in two steps. In the first step, we equip coalgebras over an operad with a cofibrantly generated model category structure. In the second step we use the adjunction between bialgebras and coalgebras via the free algebra functor. This result allows us to do classical homotopical algebra in various categories such as associative bialgebras, Lie bialgebras or Poisson bialgebras in chain complexes.  相似文献

We develop the obstruction theory of the 2-category of abelian track categories, pseudofunctors and pseudonatural transformations by using the cohomology of categories. The obstructions are defined in Baues-Wirsching cohomology groups. We introduce translation cohomology to classify endomorphisms in the 2-category of abelian track categories. In a sequel to this paper we will show, under certain conditions which are satisfied by all homotopy categories, that a translation cohomology class determines the exact triangles of a triangulated category.  相似文献

Let P=G/K be a semisimple non-compact Riemannian symmetric space, where G=I0(P) and K=Gp is the stabilizer of pP. Let X be an orbit of the (isotropy) representation of K on Tp(P) (X is called a real flag manifold). Let K0K be the stabilizer of a maximal flat, totally geodesic submanifold of P which contains p. We show that if all the simple root multiplicities of G/K are at least 2 then K0 is connected and the action of K0 on X is equivariantly formal. In the case when the multiplicities are equal and at least 2, we will give a purely geometric proof of a formula of Hsiang, Palais and Terng concerning H(X). In particular, this gives a conceptually new proof of Borel's formula for the cohomology ring of an adjoint orbit of a compact Lie group.  相似文献
