In the present paper, we obtain a new KKM type theorem for intersectionally closed-valued KKM maps and some useful new basic consequences. Typical examples of them are abstract forms of Fan’s matching theorem, Fan’s geometric lemma, the Fan-Browder fixed point theorem, maximal element theorems, Fan’s minimax inequality, variational inequalities, and others.  相似文献

The present paper is in two-fold. The first fold is devoted to the existence theory of equilibria for generalized abstract economy with a lower semicontinuous constraint correspondence and a fuzzy constraint correspondence defined on a noncompact/nonparacompact strategy set. In the second fold, we consider systems of generalized vector quasi-equilibrium problems for multivalued maps (for short, SGVQEPs) which contain systems of vector quasi-equilibrium problems, systems of generalized mixed vector quasi-variational inequalities and Debreu-type equilibrium problems for vector valued functions as special cases. By using the results of first fold, we establish some existence results for solutions of SGVQEPs.  相似文献

In the KKM theory, some authors adopt the concepts of the compact closure (ccl), compact interior (cint), transfer compactly closed-valued multimap, transfer compactly l.s.c. multimap, and transfer compactly local intersection property, respectively, instead of the closure, interior, closed-valued multimap, l.s.c. multimap, and possession of a finite open cover property. In this paper, we show that such adoption is inappropriate and artificial. In fact, any theorem with a term with “transfer” attached is equivalent to the corresponding one without “transfer”. Moreover, we can invalidate terms with “compactly” attached by giving a finer topology on the underlying space. In such ways, we obtain simpler formulations of KKM type theorems, Fan-Browder type fixed point theorems, and other results in the KKM theory on abstract convex spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove that if a space X is the union of a finite family of strong Σ-spaces, then X is a D-space. This gives a positive answer to a question posed by Arhangel'skii in [A.V. Arhangel'skii, D-spaces and finite unions, Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 132 (2004) 2163-2170]. We also obtain results on aD-spaces and finite unions. These results improve the correspond results in [A.V. Arhangel'skii, R.Z. Buzyakova, Addition theorems and D-spaces, Comment. Math. Univ. Carolin. 43 (2002) 653-663] and [Liang-Xue Peng, The D-property of some Lindelöf spaces and related conclusions, Topology Appl. 154 (2007) 469-475].  相似文献

It is known that no non-Archimedean LB-space (and no strict non-Archimedean LF-space) is metrizable. We show that there exist many metrizable (or even normable) non-Archimedean LF-spaces. We prove that every non-normable polar non-Archimedean Fréchet space (and every non-Archimedean Banach space with an infinite basis (xα)) contains a dense subspace which is an LF-space.  相似文献

In this paper, using Lassonde’s fixed point theorem for Kakutani factorizable multifunctions and Park’s fixed point theorem for acyclic factorizable multifunctions, we will prove new existence theorems for general best proximity pairs and equilibrium pairs for free abstract economies, which generalize the previous best proximity theorems and equilibrium existence theorems due to Srinivasan and Veeramani [P.S. Srinivasan, P. Veeramani, On best approximation pair theorems and fixed point theorems, Abstr. Appl. Anal. 2003 (1) (2003) 33–47; P.S. Srinivasan, P. This paper addresses the question of the generalized monotonicity of a separable product of operators. We extend the results of an earlier paper to the case where the operators are not continuous and multivalued. In this paper, we provide a new result of the existence of equilibria for set-valued maps on bounded closed subsets K of Hilbert spaces. We do not impose either convexity or compactness assumptions on K but we assume that K has epi-Lipschitz sections, i.e. its intersection with suitable finite dimensional spaces is locally the epigraph of Lipschitz functions. In finite dimensional spaces, the famous Brouwer theorem asserts the existence of a fixed point for a continuous function from a compact convex set K to itself. Our result could be viewed as a kind of generalization of this classical result in the context of Hilbert spaces and when the function (or the set-valued map) does not necessarily map K into itself (K is not invariant under the map). Our approach is based firstly on degree theory for compact and for condensing set-valued maps and secondly on flows generated by trajectories of differential inclusions.  相似文献

We show that if X is an uncountable productive γ-set [F. Jordan, Productive local properties of function spaces, Topology Appl. 154 (2007) 870-883], then there is a countable YX such that X?Y is not Hurewicz.Along the way we answer a question of A. Miller by showing that an increasing countable union of γ-spaces is again a γ-space. We will also show that λ-spaces with the Hurewicz property are precisely those spaces for which every co-countable set is Hurewicz.  相似文献

We prove that a first-order linear differential operator G with unbounded operator coefficients is Fredholm on spaces of functions on with values in a reflexive Banach space if and only if the corresponding strongly continuous evolution family has exponential dichotomies on both and and a pair of the ranges of the dichotomy projections is Fredholm, and that the Fredholm index of G is equal to the Fredholm index of the pair. The operator G is the generator of the evolution semigroup associated with the evolution family. In the case when the evolution family is the propagator of a well-posed differential equation u′(t)=A(t)u(t) with, generally, unbounded operators , the operator G is a closure of the operator . Thus, this paper provides a complete infinite-dimensional generalization of well-known finite-dimensional results by Palmer, and by Ben-Artzi and Gohberg.  相似文献

An abstract convex space satisfying the KKM principle is called a KKM space. This class of spaces contains GG-convex spaces properly. In this work, we show that a large number of results in KKM theory on GG-convex spaces also hold on KKM spaces. Examples of such results are theorems of Sperner and Alexandroff–Pasynkoff, Fan–Browder type fixed point theorems, Horvath type fixed point theorems, Ky Fan type minimax inequalities, variational inequalities, von Neumann type minimax theorems, Nash type equilibrium theorems, and Himmelberg type fixed point theorems.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the concept of generalized quasicontraction mappings in an abstract metric space. By using this concept, we construct an iterative process which converges to a unique fixed point of these mappings. The result presented in this paper generalizes the Banach contraction principle in the setting of metric space and a recent result of Huang-Zhang for contractions. In this paper, we prove the existence of solutions of generalized variational inequality for upper semicontinuous multivalued mappings with compact contractible values over compact convex subsets in a reflexive Banach space with a Fréchet differentiable norm. Moreover, we give some conditions that guarantee the existence of solutions of generalized variational inequality for upper semicontinuous multivalued mappings with compact contractible values over unbounded closed convex subsets. The result obtained in this paper improves and extends the recent ones announced by Yu and Yang [J. Yu, H. Yang, Existence of solutions for generalized variational inequality problems, Nonlinear Anal., 71 (2009) e2327-e2330] and many others.  相似文献
