The initial bounary value problem for quasilinear byperbolie-parabolic coupled systems in higher dimensional spaces, which arises in many mechanical problerns is considered. Under the assumptions that the-hyperbolic part of the coupled system is a quasilinear symmetric hyperbolic system and the parabolic part is a quasilinear parabolic system of second order and suitable assumptions of smoothness and compatibiliy conditions, the existence and uniqueness of local smooth solution is proved in the cases that the boundary of domain is noncharacteristic or uniformly characteristic with respect to the hyperbolic part. As an application, the existence and uniqueness of local smooth solution for the initial boundary problem of the radiation hydrodynamic system, as well as of the viscous compressible hydrodynamic system, with solid wal1 boundary, is obtained.  相似文献

Deterministic homogenization is studied for quasilinear monotone hyperbolic problems with a linear damping term. It is shown by the sigma-convergence method that the sequence of solutions to a class of multi-scale highly oscillatory hyperbolic problems converges to the solution to a homogenized quasilinear hyperbolic problem.  相似文献

The iterations of the quasilinear technique, employed in nonlinear volterra integral equations, are expressed as linear integral equations. By using Collocation Method, the solutions of these linear equations are approximated. Combining this and iterations of the quasilinear technique yields an approximation solution for nonlinear integral equations. We obtain an existence and uniqueness theorem for fully coupled forward–backward SDEs (FBSDEs) with jumps via the classical solution to the associated quasilinear parabolic partial integro-differential equation (PIDE), and provide the explicit form of the FBSDE solution. Moreover, we embed the associated PIDE into a suitable class of non-local quasilinear parabolic PDEs which allows us to extend the methodology of Ladyzhenskaya et al. (1968) to non-local PDEs of this class. Namely, we obtain the existence and uniqueness of a classical solution to both the Cauchy problem and the initial–boundary value problem for non-local quasilinear parabolic second-order PDEs.  相似文献

In this paper the authors prove the existence and uniqueness of global classical solutions to the typical free boundary problem for general quasilinear hyperbolic systems. We are concerned with the uniqueness result of positive solutions for a class of quasilinear elliptic equation arising from plasma physics. We convert a quasilinear elliptic equation into a semilinear one and show the unique existence of positive radial solution for original equation under the suitable conditions on the power of nonlinearity and quasilinearity. The tractability of multivariate problems has usually been studied only for the approximation of linear operators. In this paper we study the tractability of quasilinear multivariate problems. That is, we wish to approximate nonlinear operators Sd(·,·) that depend linearly on the first argument and satisfy a Lipschitz condition with respect to both arguments. Here, both arguments are functions of d variables. Many computational problems of practical importance have this form. Examples include the solution of specific Dirichlet, Neumann, and Schrödinger problems. We show, under appropriate assumptions, that quasilinear problems, whose domain spaces are equipped with product or finite-order weights, are tractable or strongly tractable in the worst case setting.This paper is the first part in a series of papers. Here, we present tractability results for quasilinear problems under general assumptions on quasilinear operators and weights. In future papers, we shall verify these assumptions for quasilinear problems such as the solution of specific Dirichlet, Neumann, and Schrödinger problems.  相似文献

The hodograph method is used to construct a solution describing the interaction of weak discontinuities (rarefaction waves) for the problem of mass transfer by an electric field (zonal electrophoresis). Mathematically, the problem is reduced to the study of a system of two first-order quasilinear hyperbolic partial differential equations with data on characteristics (Goursat problem). The solution is constructed analytically in the form of implicit relations. An efficient numerical algorithm is described that reduces the system of quasilinear partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations. For the zonal electrophoresis equations, the Riemann problem with initial discontinuities specified at two different spatial points is completely solved.  相似文献

研究了一个三阶泛函微分方程周期解的存在唯一性和全局吸引性:x′′′(t)+ax′′(t)+bx′(t)+cx(t)+g(t,x(tτ))=p(t).这是一个常系数拟线性泛函微分方程.通过将这个方程转变为三维的拟线性微分方程(组),得到了这个方程存在唯一周期解的充分条件;通过选取适当的李雅普诺夫函数,推导了这个方程解的全局吸引性;进一步,得到了此方程周期解的全局吸引性.最后,举出了两个应用实例.  相似文献

We prove the local-in-time well-posedness of the initial boundary value problem for a system of quasilinear equations. This system is used for finding numerical stationary solutions of the hydrodynamical model of charge transport in the silicon MESFET (metal semiconductor field effect transistor). The initial boundary value problem has the following peculiarities: the quasilinear system is not a Cauchy-Kovalevskaya-type system; the boundary is a non-smooth curve and has angular points; nonlinearity of the problem is mainly connected with squares of gradients of the unknown functions. By using a special representation for the solution of a model problem we reduce the original problem to an integro-differential system. The local-in-time existence of a weakened generalized solution of this system is then proved by the fixed-point argument.  相似文献
