An exact solution is given for the problem of a closed cylindrical transversely isotropic ring subjected to bending in its own plane under an arbitrary external load; it is assumed that a fiber straight before deformation and orthogonal to the neutral surface remains straight and undeformed but may no longer be orthogonal to the neutral surface. We consider the torsion of closed torsion-box structures made of composite materials (such as airplane wings) under mechanical loads inducing only torsion of the construction without bending. The problem is solved by an energy method and using a conforming displacement method. The derived distribution law for the tangential stresses contains two terms and gives the Bredt formula for the special case of pure torsion. Since in solving the problem by a conforming displacement method the axial warping distribution law for torsion of a simple closed contour is obtained automatically, this method may be considered to be ecact in the sense of satisfying the continuity condition for the structural material.Deceased.Moscow State Aviation Institute (Technical University), Russia. A study is made of the possibility of dividing the complex bending of a structure into elementary components, and an examination is made of closed wing-type monocoque structures with a rigid contour. The structures studied are asymmetric with respect to their geometric and stiffness characteristics. They are subjected to bending without torsion and are referred to a cylindrical coordinate system (Z, S). The longitudinal displacements are determined on the basis of the method of conjugate displacements by integrating the Cauchy equation and circulation equation, with the displacement along the contour (due to its stiffness) being represented in the form of a series containing terms describing the bending of the structure. The shear strains are similarly represented. The resolvent equations are obtained by using the principle of the minimum potential strain energy of the contour.Deceased.Moscow State Aviation Institute (Technical University). 基于曲梁弹性理论的弯曲覆岩变形及应力分析   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
引入适用于极坐标下曲梁的位移函数,通过理论分析得出用位移函数表示的曲梁控制方程和位移分量、应力分量.在此基础上,采用差分原理给出曲梁控制方程、位移分量和应力分量的差分代数方程.最后,采用数值计算方法,分析了煤层开采后弯曲覆岩的位移和应力分布特征,结果表明:1)煤层开采后弯曲覆岩产生下沉变形;弯曲岩层环向位移既有拉伸也有压缩.2)离开切眼不远处径向应力将达到峰值,径向应力由内边界向外逐渐增大;工作面后方不远处环向应力将达到峰值,环向应力较容易引起压缩破断;离开切眼不远处剪应力将达到峰值,对于小角度截面上的剪应力由内边界向外逐渐增大.研究结果为煤矿工程提供了科学依据与参考.  相似文献

The results of an experimental investigation of the deflection of the human femur subjected to a bending moment are presented. The existence of two principal bending planes is established. The equivalent flexural rigidity of the dry bone is calculated for both static and dynamic loading. It is found that the human femur has a nonlinear elastic characteristic. Changes in the conformations of polyethylene molecules around the end of a neighboring chain and around the ends of two neighboring chains have been determined on an electronic calculator for various directions of end bending.2. The bending characteristics of a composite panel with asymmetric layered structure under local surface loads are obtained. A refined version of the applied theory is developed using the analytical solution of the bending problem of a sandwich plate with arbitrary asymmetric structure under a point load. Local effects are investigated within the limits of a discrete model allowing for the specific character of elastic properties of a soft filler. The advantages of the solution are expressions of bending characteristics — layer curvatures, displacements, and stresses — in a closed form. It is shown that these characteristics can vary several times depending on the asymmetry parameters of the structure. Degeneration peculiarities of the solution, stemming from the slipping of layers or, otherwise, their rigid linking by the Kirchoff—Love hypothesis, as well as from account of the transverse shear and compression of the normal, are examined in line with the degeneration of geometric and physical parameters of the discrete model adopted. This paper deals with stability of the extended Runge–Kutta methods for nonlinear neutral delay-integro-differential equations. The stability results in the reference [Y. Yu, L. Wen, S. Li, Nonlinear stability of Runge–Kutta methods for neutral delay integro-differential equations, Appl. Math. Comput. 191 (2007) 543–549] are improved. With this improvement, several new numerical stability criteria are obtained, it is proven that the extended Runge–Kutta methods are globally and asymptotically stable under the suitable conditions.  相似文献

The problem of the slip of a rigid infinitely long cylinder along a viscoelastic foundation in the presence of friction forces dependent on the slip rate is solved in a linear quasistatic arrangement. The effect of the rheological characteristics of the foundation material and other factors on the point displacement of the surface in front of the moving cylinder is studied. Conclusions Equations were derived for calculating RTS in the gap part and the zone of bending the coils and bars of the stator winding; it was shown that in calculating the RTS in the bending zones, it is necessary to take into account the presence of residual stresses in the copper of the bar. 选择处于平面复杂应力状态下横力弯曲梁,对结构进行了中性层的判定,推导出中性轴、正应力、剪应力、位移的计算公式,得到如下结论:对于复杂应力状态下的不同模量弹性弯曲梁,其中性轴位置与剪应力无关,因此用正应力作为判据而得到解析解,改进了以往用主应力判定中性点的多次循环的计算方法.把解析解的结果与经典力学同模量理论,以及有限元数值解进行了比较,结果表明:解析解很好地考虑了拉压不同模量的效应.还提出了对不同模量结构的计算修正以及对结构优化的思想.  相似文献

The mechanism by which fillers strengthen polymers is discussed, and the effect of fiber length on static and impact bending strength and on the area of the fracture surface is studied with reference to the example of a silicone composite. A correlation is established between the strength properties and the area of the fracture surface. A method is proposed for evaluating the resistance of a flywheel rim to radial stresses in free rotation. The method is based on loading a rim segment in pure bending and calculating the limiting moment and the corresponding limiting angular velocity. Applicability of the method is substantiated theoretically by investigating the similarity of the radial stress diagrams in rotation and pure bending. A new finite-difference method is proposed for solving the bending problem as it applies to thin rectangular orthotropic plates of linear hereditary material. The effect of one-sided rapid cyclic heating on the deformation of rigidly clamped specimens of acrylic plastics has been investigated. It is shown that as the temperature drop increases, so does the bending deformation (concave toward the heated surface) of the unclamped specimens; the greatest temperature change during thermal cycling is concentrated in an active surface layer not more than 1.6 mm thick and is accompanied by the development of tensile stresses in that layer.
