We consider coerciveness and Fredholmness of nonlocal boundary value problems for complete second order elliptic differential-operator equations in UMD Banach spaces. In some special cases, the main coefficients of the boundary conditions may be bounded operators and not only complex numbers. Then, we prove an isomorphism, in particular, maximal L p -regularity, of the problem with a linear parameter in the equation. In both cases, the boundary conditions may also contain unbounded operators in perturbation terms. Finally, application to regular nonlocal boundary value problems for elliptic equations of the second order in non-smooth domains are presented. Equations and boundary conditions may contain differential-integral parts. The spaces of solvability are Sobolev type spaces W p,q 2,2. We use variational methods to obtain a pointwise estimate near a boundary point for quasisubminimizers of the p-energy integral and other integral functionals in doubling metric measure spaces admitting a p-Poincaré inequality. It implies a Wiener type condition necessary for boundary regularity for p-harmonic functions on metric spaces, as well as for (quasi)minimizers of various integral functionals and solutions of nonlinear elliptic equations on R n .  相似文献

This paper deals with the existence of positive solution for impulsive boundary value problem with p‐Laplacian in Banach spaces. There is no literature researching on p‐Laplacian boundary value problem in Banach spaces. The main difficulty that appears when passing from p = 2 to p ≠ 2 is that for p ≠ 2, it is impossible for us to find a Green's function in the equivalent integral operator because the differential operator (?p(u ′ )) ′ is nonlinear, so it is difficult for us to prove that the equivalent integral operator is a strict‐set‐contraction operator. Even in the absence of pulse effect, these results are new. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The generalized solution of ill-posed boundary problem   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, we define a kind of new Sobolev spaces, the relative Sobolev spaces Wk,p0(Ω,∑). Then an elliptic partial differential equation of the second order with an ill-posed boundary is discussed. By utilizing the ideal of the generalized inverse of an operator, we introduce the generalized solution of the ill-posed boundary problem. Eventually, the connection between the generalized inverse and the generalized solution is studied. In this way, the non-instability of the minimal normal least square solution of the ill-posed boundary problem is avoided.  相似文献

We study boundary value problems for some differential operators on Euclidean space and the Heisenberg group which are invariant under the conformal group of a Euclidean subspace, respectively, Heisenberg subgroup. These operators are shown to be self-adjoint in certain Sobolev type spaces and the related boundary value problems are proven to have unique solutions in these spaces. We further find the corresponding Poisson transforms explicitly in terms of their integral kernels and show that they are isometric between Sobolev spaces and extend to bounded operators between certain Lp-spaces.

The conformal invariance of the differential operators allows us to apply unitary representation theory of reductive Lie groups, in particular recently developed methods for restriction problems.  相似文献

In this paper, I have established conditions under which the existence and uniqueness of weak solutions of some Semilinear diffusion equations with initial and boundary data in fractional LL p spaces can be established in a bounded domain with smooth boundary The interest of this method relies on the fact that it is by successive approximations and hence amenable to numerical treatment. The paper also considers the semigroups theory on the existence of weak classical solutions.  相似文献

In this paper, we describe a layer potential analysis in order to show an existence result for an interface boundary value problem of Robin‐transmission type for the Stokes and Brinkman systems on Lipschitz domains in Euclidean setting, when the given boundary data belong to some Lp or Sobolev spaces associated to such domains. Applications related to an exterior three‐dimensional Stokes flow past two concentric porous spheres with stress jump conditions on the fluid‐porous interface are also considered. In this paper it is shown that irregular boundary points for p-harmonic functions as well as for quasiminimizers can be divided into semiregular and strongly irregular points with vastly different boundary behaviour. This division is emphasized by a large number of characterizations of semiregular points. The results hold in complete metric spaces equipped with a doubling measure supporting a Poincaré inequality. They also apply to Cheeger p-harmonic functions and in the Euclidean setting to A-harmonic functions, with the usual assumptions on A.  相似文献

We prove coerciveness with a defect and Fredholmness of nonlocal irregular boundary value problems for second order elliptic differential-operator equations in UMD Banach spaces. Then, we prove coerciveness with a defect in both the space variable and the spectral parameter of the problem with a linear parameter in the equation. The results do not imply maximal L p -regularity in contrast to previously considered regular case. In fact, a counterexample shows that there is no maximal L p -regularity in the irregular case. When studying Fredholmness, the boundary conditions may also contain unbounded operators in perturbation terms. Finally, application to nonlocal irregular boundary value problems for elliptic equations of the second order in cylindrical domains are presented. Equations and boundary conditions may contain differential-integral parts. The spaces of solvability are Sobolev type spaces ${W_{p,q}^{2,2}}$ .  相似文献

We continue the work of Lopes Filho, Mazzucato and Nussenzveig Lopes [10] on the vanishing viscosity limit of circularly symmetric viscous flow in a disk with rotating boundary, shown there to converge to the inviscid limit in L 2-norm as long as the prescribed angular velocity α(t) of the boundary has bounded total variation. Here we establish convergence in stronger L 2 and L p -Sobolev spaces, allow for more singular angular velocities α, and address the issue of analyzing the behavior of the boundary layer. This includes an analysis of concentration of vorticity in the vanishing viscosity limit. We also consider such flows on an annulus, whose two boundary components rotate independently. In this paper, several existence theorems of positive solutions are established for nonlinear m-point boundary value problem for p-Laplacian dynamic equations on time scales, as an application, an example to demonstrate our results is given. We consider boundary value problems and transmission problems for strongly elliptic second-order systems with boundary conditions on a compact nonclosed Lipschitz surface S with Lipschitz boundary. The main goal is to find conditions for the unique solvability of these problems in the spaces H s , the simplest L 2-spaces of the Sobolev type, with the use of potential type operators on S. We also discuss, first, the regularity of solutions in somewhat more general Bessel potential spaces and Besov spaces and, second, the spectral properties of problems with spectral parameter in the transmission conditions on S, including the asymptotics of the eigenvalues.  相似文献

We prove a very general form of the Angle Concavity Theorem, which says that if (T (t)) defines a one parameter semigroup acting over various Lp spaces (over a fixed measure space), which is analytic in a sector of opening angle θp, then the maximal choice for θp is a concave function of 1 – 1/p. This and related results are applied to give improved estimates on the optimal Lp angle of ellipticity for a parabolic equation of the form ?u /?t = Au, where A is a uniformly elliptic second order partial differential operator with Wentzell or dynamic boundary conditions. Similar results are obtained for the higher order equation ?u /?t = (–1)m +lAmu, for all positive integers m.  相似文献

A mixed boundary value problem for the Stokes system in a polyhedral domain is considered. Here different boundary conditions (in particular, Dirichlet, Neumann, free surface conditions) are prescribed on the faces of the polyhedron. The authors prove the existence of solutions in (weighted and non‐weighted) Lp Sobolev spaces and obtain regularity assertions for weak solutions. The results are based on point estimates of Green's matrix. (© 2007 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)  相似文献

We extend a result of John Lewis [L] by showing that if a doubling metric measure space supports a (1,q 0)-Poincaré inequality for some 1<q 0<p, then every uniformlyp-fat set is uniformlyq-fat for someq<p. This bootstrap result implies the Hardy inequality for Newtonian functions with zero boundary values for domains whose complements are uniformly fat. While proving this result, we also characterize positive Radon measures in the dual of the Newtonian space using the Wolff potential and obtain an estimate for the oscillation ofp-harmonic functions andp-energy minimizers near a boundary point.  相似文献

In this article, we develop a parameter uniform numerical method for a class of singularly perturbed parabolic equations with a multiple boundary turning point on a rectangular domain. The coefficient of the first derivative with respect to x is given by the formula a0(x, t)xp, where a0(x, t) ≥ α > 0 and the parameter p ∈ [1,∞) takes the arbitrary value. For small values of the parameter ε, the solution of this particular class of problem exhibits the parabolic boundary layer in a neighborhood of the boundary x = 0 of the domain. We use the implicit Euler method to discretize the temporal variable on uniform mesh and a B‐spline collocation method defined on piecewise uniform Shishkin mesh to discretize the spatial variable. Asymptotic bounds for the derivatives of the solution are established by decomposing the solution into smooth and singular component. These bounds are applied in the convergence analysis of the proposed scheme on Shishkin mesh. The resulting method is boundary layer resolving and has been shown almost second‐order accurate in space and first‐order accurate in time. It is also shown that the proposed method is uniformly convergent with respect to the singular perturbation parameter ε. Some numerical results are given to confirm the predicted theory and comparison of numerical results made with a scheme consisting of a standard upwind finite difference operator on a piecewise uniform Shishkin mesh. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The aim of this paper is to study differentiable functions of several variables defined on a domain G ⊂ ℝ with irregular boundary. We suggest a new integral representation, which allows us to establish estimates for L p -modules of continuity and embedding theorems for functional spaces that have defined L p -modules of continuity behavior. __________ Translated from Sovremennaya Matematika. In the framework of the Jacobi-weighted Besov spaces, we analyze the lower and upper bounds of errors in the hp version of boundary element solutions on quasiuniform meshes for elliptic problems on polygons. Both lower bound and upper bound are optimal in h and p, and they are of the same order. The optimal convergence of the hp version of boundary element method with quasiuniform meshes is proved, which includes the optimal rates for h version with quasiuniform meshes and the p version with quasiuniform degrees as two special cases. In this paper, we study the existence of positive solutions for the following Sturm–Liouville‐like four‐point singular boundary value problem (BVP) with p‐Laplacian where ?p(s)=|s|p?2 s, p>1, f is a lower semi‐continuous function. Using the fixed‐point theorem of cone expansion and compression of norm type, the existence of positive solution and infinitely many positive solutions for Sturm–Liouville‐like singular BVP with p‐Laplacian are obtained.
