Synthesis and structure of o-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)-nitromethyl ester of 2′-fluoro-2′, 2′-dinitroethyl-2″-fluoro-2″-nitroethylenecarboxime

Conclusions The product of conversion of O-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)nitromethylbis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)carboxime in methanol or ether is O-bis(2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl)nitromethyl-2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl-2'-fluoro-2-nitroethylenecarboxinie, the structure of which has been established by x-ray diffraction analysis.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 9, pp. 2019–2021, September, 1987.     

2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl chloeomethyl ether in nucleophilic substitution reactions

Conclusions It was shown that 2-fluoro-2,2-dinitroethyl chloromethyl ether has a high reactivity in nucleophilic substitution reactions, and a number of esters and derivatives of 4-fluoro-4,4-dinitro-2-oxa-1-butanol was obtained.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 9, pp. 2140–2141, September, 1973.

Synthesis of amino-substituted 2-methylcoumarins,chromans, and benzoxepanes and their N-(alkylaminoacyl) derivatives

The isomeric compositions of the products of nitration of 2-methylcoumaran and chroman with acetyl nitrate were determined. More convenient methods for the synthesis of 7-amino-2-methylcoumaran and 8-aminochroman were developed, and 9-amino-1-benzoxepane was obtained for the first time. Alkylaminoacylamino-substituted 2-methylcoumarans, chromans, and 1-benzoxepanes were synthesized. N-(alkoxycarbonylmethyl)diazene-N-oxides and some of their conversions

Upon reaction of aliphatic and aromatic nitroso compounds with esters of N,N-dibromoglycine N-substituted N-(alkoxycarbonylmethyl)diazene-N-oxides are formed. The ethyl ester of (2-phenyldiazene-2-oxido)acetic acid in concentrated H₂SO₄ is transformed into a mixture of the monophenylhydrazide and monophenylhydrazone of monoethyl oxalate and in a solution of gaseous HCl in acetic acid into the phenylhydrazone of the acyl chloride of monoethyl oxalate.Translated from Izvestiya Akademii Nauk SSSR, Seriya Khimicheskaya, No. 2, pp. 352–356, February, 1990.     

Aliphatic nitramino alcohols and their derivatives

The methods of preparation and reactivity of aliphatic nitramino alcohols as well as their ethers and esters, which are promising intermediates in the synthesis of aliphatic nitramines used as the components of gunpowder and fuel compositions, are considered.     

Heterocyclic N-glycosyl derivatives. XIV. Preparation of some N-(2,3-dideoxyglycopyranosyl)benzotriazoles by hydrogenation of N-(pent- and hex-2-enopyranosyl)benzotriazoles

Catalytic hydrogenation of a series of N-(pent- and hex-2-enopyranosyl)benzotriazoles afforded the corresponding saturated N-glycosyl derivatives having the same anomeric configuration as the starting compounds. The conformations of all compounds obtained were determined by nmr spectroscopy. The hexopyranosyl nucleosides in solution adopt the Cl conformation. On the other hand, pentopyranosyl nucleosides exist as a mixture of the two chair conformers in equilibrium, with the IC or CI ( L ) form predominating.
