Let and be Hausdorff topological vector spaces over the field , let be a bilinear functional, and let be a non-empty subset of . Given a set-valued map and two set-valued maps , the generalized bi-quasi-variational inequality (GBQVI) problem is to find a point and a point such that and for all and for all or to find a point a point and a point such that and for all . The generalized bi-quasi-variational inequality was introduced first by Shih and Tan [8] in 1989. In this paper we shall obtain some existence theorems of generalized bi-quasi-variational inequalities as application of upper hemi-continuous operators [4] in locally convex topological vector spaces on compact sets.  相似文献

We study two questions posed by Johnson, Lindenstrauss, Preiss, and Schechtman, concerning the structure of level sets of uniform and Lipschitz quotient mappings from . We show that if , is a uniform quotient mapping then for every has a bounded number of components, each component of separates and the upper bound of the number of components depends only on and the moduli of co-uniform and uniform continuity of .Next we prove that all level sets of any co-Lipschitz uniformly continuous mapping from to are locally connected, and we show that for every pair of a constant and a function with , there exists a natural number , so that for every co-Lipschitz uniformly continuous map with a co-Lipschitz constant and a modulus of uniform continuity , there exists a natural number and a finite set with card so that for all has exactly components, has exactly components and each component of is homeomorphic with the real line and separates the plane into exactly 2 components. The C*-algebra generated by the Bergman and anti-Bergman projections and by the operators of multiplication by piecewise continuous functions on the Lebesgue space L2(Π) over the upper half-plane is studied. Making use of a local principle, limit operators techniques, and the Plamenevsky results on two-dimensional singular integral operators with coefficients admitting homogeneous discontinuities we reduce the study to simpler C*-algebras associated with points and pairs We construct a symbol calculus for unital C*-algebras generated by n orthogonal projections sum of which equals the unit and by m one-dimensional orthogonal projections. Such algebras are models of local algebras at points z ∈∂Π being the discontinuity points of coefficients. A symbol calculus for the C*- algebra and a Fredholm criterion for the operators are obtained. Finally, a C*-algebra isomorphism between the quotient algebra where is the ideal of compact operators, and its analogue for the unit disk is constructed.  相似文献

In this paper we study the behavior of sums of a linear process associated to a strictly stationary sequence with values in a real separable Hilbert space and are linear operators from H to H. One of the results is that satisfies the CLT provided are i.i.d. centered having finite second moments and . We shall provide an example which shows that the condition on the operators is essentially sharp. We introduce the notion of hyper-self-duality for Bose-Mesner algebras as a strengthening of formal self-duality. Let denote a Bose-Mesner algebra on a finite nonempty set X. Fix p X, and let and denote respectively the dual Bose-Mesner algebra and the Terwilliger algebra of with respect to p. By a hyper-duality of , we mean an automorphism of such that for all ; and is a duality of . is said to be hyper-self-dual whenever there exists a hyper-duality of . We say that is strongly hyper-self-dual whenever there exists a hyper-duality of which can be expressed as conjugation by an invertible element of . We show that Bose-Mesner algebras which support a spin model are strongly hyper-self-dual, and we characterize strong hyper-self-duality via the module structure of the associated Terwilliger algebra.  相似文献

A criterion is given determining whether a cyclic variety is interpretable in . Using an analog of the classical Frobenius recursion, we define the notion of a Frobenius -homomorphism. For , this is an ordinary ring homomorphism. We give a constructive proof of the following theorem. Let X be a compact Hausdorff space, the th symmetric power of X, and the algebra of continuous complex-valued functions on X with the sup-norm; then the evaluation map defined by the formula identifies the space with the space of all Frobenius -homomorphisms of the algebra into with the weak topology.  相似文献

We show that every sub-weak embedding of any singular (degenerate or not) orthogonal or unitary polar space of non-singular rank at least 3 in a projective space PG , a commutative field, is the projection of a full embedding in some subspace PG of PG , where PG contains PG and is a subfield of . The same result is proved in the symplectic case under the assumption that the field over which the polarity is defined is perfect if the characteristic is 2 and if each secant line of the embedded polar space contains exactly two points of . This completes the classification of all sub-weak embeddings of orthogonal, symplectic and unitary polar spaces (singular or not; degenerate or not) of non-singular rank at least 3 and defined over a commutative field , where in the characteristic 2 case is perfect if the polar space is symplectic and the degree of the embedding is 2.  相似文献

To every egglike inversive plane there is associated a family of involutions of the point set of such that circles of are the fixed point sets of the involutions in . Korchmaros and Olanda characterized a family of involutions on a set of size n2 + 1to be for an egglike inversive plane of order n by four conditions. In this paper, we give an alternative proof where the Galois space PG(3,n) in which is embedded is built up directly by using concepts and results on finite linear spaces.  相似文献

In this paper, a technique for analyzing levels of hierarchy in a tiling of Euclidean space is presented. Fixing a central configuration P of tiles in , a `derived Voronoï' tessellation P is constructed based on the locations of copies of P in . A family of derived Voronoï tilings is formed by allowing the central configurations to vary through an infinite number of possibilities. The family will normally be an infinite one, but we show that for a self-similar tiling it is finite up to similarity. In addition, we show that if the family is finite up to similarity, then is pseudo-self-similar. The relationship between self-similarity and pseudo-self-similarity is not well understood, and this is the obstruction to a complete characterization of self-similarity via our method. A discussion and conjecture on the connection between the two forms of hierarchy for tilings is provided.  相似文献

Two numerical characteristics of a nonrectifiable arc generalizing the notion of length are introduced. Geometrically, this notion can naturally be generalized as the least upper bound of the sums , where are the lengths of segments of a polygonal line inscribed in the curve and is a given function. On the other hand, the length of is the norm of the functional in the space ; its norms in other spaces can be considered as analytical generalizations of length. An extension of a theorem on extremal decomposition of a Riemann surface is obtained. The problem of extremal decomposition is extended from the case of a Riemann surface with a prescribed set of distinguished points to the case of the Teichmüller space corresponding to under quasiconformal homeomorphisms f. For the functional of our problem on extremal decomposition of a surface , we consider a function expressing the dependence of the extremal value of on a point . Differentiation formulas for the function are derived. These formulas are different and depend on the genus g of the surface . The case where the function is pluriharmonic is considered. Moreover, if tends to zero fast enough as over , then this function vanishes identically. To prove these results, a special approximation technique is developed.
