It is shown that an antihermitian contribution to the isotriplet of weak hadronic strangeness-conserving currents leads to a charge asymmetry. The existence of such currents with “wrong” G-parity is neither established nor refuted by existing experimental data. A deviation of Γ(Σ?→Λe?v)/Γ(Σ+→Λe+v) from the phase space ratio by more than ≈2 percent strongly suggests the presence of an antihermitian weak hadronic current, irrespective of time reversal invariance or CVC being valid or not.  相似文献

The radiativeΣ + → nπ+ γ decay mode was analysed in the 81 cm SACLAY hydrogen bubble chamber exposed to a stoppingK ? beam at the CERN PS. The pion spectrum was measured up to momenta of 150 MeV/c in theΣ rest frame. We obtain the following branching ratios based on 180 Σ+→nπ+γ and 292Σ ?→ nπ?γ events:Γ+ → nπ+ γ)/Γ+→nπ+)=(0.93±0.10)×10?3 Γ?→nπ? γ)/Γ?→nπ?)=(0.46±0.06)×10?3. An unambiguous assignment ofS-wave to the Σ?→nπ? andP-wave toΣ +→nπ+ was obtained. The absolute and differential decay rates as well as the parity assignments are in good agreement with theoretical predictions.  相似文献

We present a precise measurement of the ratio R K =Γ(Ke ν(γ))/Γ(Kμ ν(γ)) and a study of the radiative process Ke ν γ, performed with the KLOE detector. The results are based on data collected at the Frascati e + e ? collider DAΦNE for an integrated luminosity of 2.2 fb?1. We find R K =(2.493±0.025stat±0.019syst)×10?5, in agreement with the Standard Model expectation. This result is used to improve constraints on parameters of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with lepton flavor violation. We also measured the differential decay rate dΓ(Ke ν γ)/dE γ for photon energies 10<E γ < 250 MeV. Results are compared with predictions from theory.  相似文献

In a search for very rare decays of the K+ meson we observed the K+μ+νe+e? and K+→e+ν e+e? modes with branching ratios of (10±3) ×10?7 and (2+2?2)×10?7 respectively. We also put new limits on a decay allowed by the alternate scheme of lepton conservation K+π?μ+e+, on a decay with double charged weak current K+π? e+e+ and on other forbidden decays K+μ?νe+e+ and K+π+μ±e±.  相似文献

The reactions e+e?→ hadrons and e+e+e?→e+e? have been studied at the J/gY (3100) resonance). The relative weights of the topological cross sections for fixed charged multiplicity are σ2=(32±5)%, σ4=(49±8)%, σ6=(18±3)%, and σ8=(1±0.6)%. The average pion multiplicities are 〈nch〉=3.8±0.3 and 〈nπo〉=3.1±0.8. The decay widths are Γe=(4.6±0.8) keV, Γh=(59±24) keV, and Γ=(68±26) keV.  相似文献

The problem of the radiative non-leptonic weak baryon decays is reviewed in light of the new experimental findings. With the aim of exploring the structure of the weak non-leptonic Hamiltonian, we present a detailed phenomenological analysis of Σ+p?+?? transitions. Lower and upper limits for rates derivable with standard physics are determined as Γ(Σ+pe + e ?)/Σ+pγ)≧7.2×10?3 and 1/1210? Γ(Σ+pe + e +)/Γ(Σ+pe + e ?)?1/120. From existing data on Σ+pe + e ? we obtain limits on the values of the charge radius form factors |c 1/b 1|?5;|c 2/b 1|? 10, where the magnetic form factor is given by the Σ+dγ, decay asb 1(0)= 6.9±0.9 MeV. The short distance contribution of the QCD corrected single quarks→dλ transition is shown not to play a dominant role in these decays.  相似文献

The rationR=σ(e + e ?→hadrons)/σ(e + e ?→ µ+ µ?) was measured with the LENA detector at DORIS in a scan between 7.40 and 7.48 GeV and between 8.67 and 9.43 GeV center of mass energies. Corrected for QED radiative effects,R is found to be constant with an average value ofR=3.37 ±0.06stat±0.23syst. No narrow resonances withΓ ee (Γ had/Γ tot)?0.30 keV (95% C.L.) and no steps have been observed. Based on this value ofR, revised values for υ(1S) resonance parameters are presented.  相似文献

The reaction e + e ?→ωπ0 near a Φ resonance was studied with a spherical neutral detector at VEPP-2M e + e ? collider. Both main modes of decay of a ω meson were investigated: ω→π+π?π0 and ω→π 0γ. The probability of decay Φ→ωπ0 was obtained from the magnitude of the interference wave in the cross section for the reaction e + e ?→ωπ0→ π+π?π0π0: B(Φ→ωπ0) = (5.5 ?1.4 +1.6 ±0.3) ×10?5. The ratio of the partial widths of the ω meson was obtained from the ratio of the cross sections for the two modes: Γ(ω→π0γ )/Γ(ω→π+π?π0) = 0.0994 ± 0.0036 ± 0.0038.  相似文献

The charged hyperon beam at the CERN Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) has been used to collect data on semileptonic decays ofΣ ?,Ξ ? andΛ. A magnetic channel selects 100 GeV/c negatively charged particles produced in the forward direction by interaction of the 200 GeV/c SPS proton beam on a BeO target. TheΣ ? andΞ ? hyperons are concurrently identified in a DISC ?erenkov counter, and their decay products are analysed by a magnetic spectrometer. Electron-hadron discrimination is achieved by the combined use of lead-glass and lead/scintillator counters, transition radiation detectors, and a ?erenkov counter. In this article we report results on the \(\Sigma ^ - \to \Lambda e^ - \bar v\) decay mode. Measurements of the Λ polarization and of the centre-of-mass distributions (baryon kinetic energy, electron-neutrino correlation, and Dalitz plot distributions) yield the vector to axialvector form factor ratiof 1/g 1=+0.034±0.080, in agreement with the value expected from the conserved vector current hypothesis (f 1/g 1=0). TheΣ ?Λe ? v→ branching ratio measurement gives a value of (5.41±0.30)×10?5. The effects of radiative corrections are not included in these results. They are discussed in the text. The gauge model of weak interactions is proposed and μ±?e? transitions predicted by the model are discussed. Estimates are given for μ±→e? transitions on hadrons like K+π?μ+e+ with Γ (K+π?μ+e+) ? 10?11Γ(K+ and μ? capture on nuclei with W(μ?→e+) ? 10?12W(μ?ν). The e + e ?→ηγ→7γ process was studied in the energy range 2E=600–1060 MeV with an SND detector on a VEPP-2M e + e ? collider. The decay branching ratios B(φ→ηγ)=(1.353±0.011±0.052)×10?2, B(ω→ηγ)=(4.62±0.71±0.18)×10?4, and B(ρ→ηγ)=(2.73±0.31±0.15)×10?4 were measured.  相似文献

In an experiment performed at the CERN-SPS charged hyperon beam, we have observed the radiative decay Λ→nγ, using well identified Λ from the decays of Ο? of 116 GeV/c momentum. Neutrons and photons from the Λ decays were observed in liquid argon and lead glass detectors. From a sample of 31 candidates, containing an estimated background of 7.3 events, the decay branching ratio was measured to be Γ(Λ→nγ)/Γ(Λ→all)=(1.02±0.33)×10?3.  相似文献

We have measured the production of charged particle pairs in e+e? initiated two-photon reactions. The observed rates and invariant mass spectra agree with expectations from QED if a resonant π+π? production at the f0 mass is added. In a bubble chamber experiment about 2×106 Σ ±-decays have been measured to separateΣ ±→ne±¯ν events from the two-body modes. NoΣ + →ne + ν event was found whereas 607Σ ?→ne?¯ν decays could be identified. The data yield for the ΔQ=?ΔS decay an upper limit: $$\frac{{\Gamma \left( {\sum {^ + } \to ne^ + v} \right)}}{{\Gamma \left( {\sum {^ - } \to ne^ - v} \right)}}< 1.9 x 10^{ - 2} (90\% confidence level)$$ and the branching ratio: $$\frac{{\Gamma \left( {\sum {^ - } \to ne^ - v} \right)}}{{\Gamma \left( {\sum {^ - } \to n\pi ^ - } \right)}} = (1.09 \pm 0.06) x 10^{ - 3} .$$   相似文献

We present measurements of the Cabibbo-suppressed decays Λ c +Λ 0 K + and Λ c +Σ 0 K + (both first observations), Λ c +Σ + K + π (seen with large statistics for the first time), Λ c +pK + K and Λ c + (measured with improved accuracy). Improved branching ratio measurements for the decays Λ c +Σ + K + K and Λ c +Σ + φ, which are attributed to W-exchange diagrams, are shown. We also present the first evidence for Λ c +Ξ(1690)0 K + and set an upper limit on the non-resonant decay Λ c +Σ + K + K . This analysis was performed using 32.6 fb−1 of data collected by the Belle detector at the asymmetric e + e collider KEKB.  相似文献

The radiative decayJ/ψ → γ π+ π? has been studied using the 8.6 millionJ/ψ produced in the DM2 experiment at the DCIe +e? storage rings at Orsay. The π+ π? mass spectrum shows a cleanf 2 (1270) signal, and the possible presence of two other states at thef 2 (1720) andf 4 (2030) masses. For thef 2 (1270), the branching ratio BR(J/ψ →γf)xBR(f→π+ π?) is measured to be (7.50±0.30±1.12)×10?4, and the spin analysis prefers theJ=2 assignment, with helicity parametersx=0.83±0.06 andy=0.01±0.06. The ratio of the axial-vector to vector coupling constant, ¦g 1/f 1¦, in theΣ ?ne ? \(\bar v\) decay was determined from the electron-neutrino angular distribution. In a sample of 454Σ ?ne ? \(\bar v\) decays a search was made for subsequent neutron proton scattering in order to detect the decay neutrons. TheΣ hyperons were produced by stoppingK ?-mesons in the 81 cm Saclay hydrogen bubble chamber. For the kinematical analysis 33Σ ?ne ? ν events with associatednp→np interactions were accepted. The ground state radiative widths of the 1.56 MeV (3/2+) and the 1.35 MeV (5/2?) levels in19F were determined by inelastic electron scattering. The measured cross sections have been analysed using DWBA calculations. The resultsΓ y 0 (5/2?→1/2?,E3)=(8.1±1.7)·10?10eV andΓ y 0 (3/2+→1/2+,E2=(1.76±0.15)·10?4eV are in agreement with, but more accurate than, former measurements.  相似文献
