Let L be a restricted Lie algebra over a field of characteristic p>2 and denote by u(L) its restricted enveloping algebra. We establish when the Lie algebra of skew-symmetric elements of u(L) under the principal involution is solvable, nilpotent, or satisfies an Engel condition.  相似文献

A nonzero locally nilpotent linear derivation δ   of the polynomial algebra K[Xd]=K[x1,…,xd]K[Xd]=K[x1,,xd] in several variables over a field K   of characteristic 0 is called a Weitzenböck derivation. The classical theorem of Weitzenböck states that the algebra of constants K[Xd]δK[Xd]δ (which coincides with the algebra of invariants of a single unipotent transformation) is finitely generated. Similarly one may consider the algebra of constants of a locally nilpotent linear derivation δ of a finitely generated (not necessarily commutative or associative) algebra which is relatively free in a variety of algebras over K  . Now the algebra of constants is usually not finitely generated. Except for some trivial cases this holds for the algebra of constants (Ld/Ld)δ(Ld/Ld)δ of the free metabelian Lie algebra Ld/LdLd/Ld with d   generators. We show that the vector space of the constants (Ld/Ld)δ(Ld/Ld)δ in the commutator ideal Ld′/LdLd/Ld is a finitely generated K[Xd]δK[Xd]δ-module. For small d  , we calculate the Hilbert series of (Ld/Ld)δ(Ld/Ld)δ and find the generators of the K[Xd]δK[Xd]δ-module (Ld/Ld)δ(Ld/Ld)δ. This gives also an (infinite) set of generators of the algebra (Ld/Ld)δ(Ld/Ld)δ.  相似文献

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra. The symmetric algebra Sp(L) of the restricted enveloping algebra u(L) has the structure of a Poisson algebra. We give necessary and sufficient conditions on L in order for the symmetric algebra Sp(L) to satisfy a multilinear Poisson identity. We also settle the same problem for the symmetric algebra S(L) of a Lie algebra L over an arbitrary field. The first author was partially supported by MIUR of Italy. Let g be the Lie algebra of a connected reductive group G over an algebraically closed field k of characteristic p>0. Let Z be the centre of the universal enveloping algebra U=U(g) of g. Its maximal spectrum is called the Zassenhaus variety of g. We show that, under certain mild assumptions on G, the field of fractions Frac(Z) of Z is G-equivariantly isomorphic to the function field of the dual space g with twisted G-action. In particular Frac(Z) is rational. This confirms a conjecture of J. Alev. Furthermore we show that Z is a unique factorisation domain, confirming a conjecture of A. Braun and C. Hajarnavis. Recently, A. Premet used the above result about Frac(Z), a result of Colliot-Thelene, Kunyavskii, Popov and Reichstein and reduction mod p arguments to show that the Gelfand-Kirillov conjecture cannot hold for simple complex Lie algebras that are not of type A, C or G2.  相似文献

Let B be a representation-finite C-algebra. The Z-Lie algebra L(B) associated with B has been defined by Riedtmann in [Ch. Riedtmann, Lie algebras generated by indecomposables, J. Algebra 170 (1994) 526-546]. If B is representation-directed, there is another Z-Lie algebra associated with B defined by Ringel in [C.M. Ringel, Hall Algebras, vol. 26, Banach Center Publications, Warsaw, 1990, pp. 433-447] and denoted by K(B).We prove that the Lie algebras L(B) and K(B) are isomorphic for any representation-directed C-algebra B.  相似文献

Let Kbe a field of characteristic p> 0. Denote by ω(R) the augmentation ideal of either a group algebra (R) = K[G] or a restricted enveloping algebra R= u(L) over K. We first characterize those Rfor which ω(R) satisfies a polynomial identity not satisfied by the algebra of all 2 × 2 matrices over K. Then, we examine those Rfor which U J(R) satisfies a semigroup identity (that is, a polynomial identity which can be written as the difference of two monomials).  相似文献

In [H. Safa and H. Arabyani, On c-nilpotent multiplier and c-covers of a pair of Lie algebras, Commun. Algebra 45(10) (2017), 4429–4434], we characterized the structure of the c-nilpotent multiplier of a pair of Lie algebras in terms of its c-covering pairs and discussed some results on the existence of c-covers of a pair of Lie algebras. In the present paper, it is shown under some conditions that a relative c-central extension of a pair of Lie algebras is a homomorphic image of a c-covering pair. Moreover, we prove that a c-cover of a pair of finite dimensional Lie algebras, under some assumptions, has a unique domain up to isomorphism and also that every perfect pair of Lie algebras admits at least one c-cover. Finally, we discuss a result concerning the isoclinism of c-covering pairs.  相似文献

Let L be a restricted Lie algebra over a field of positive characteristic. We prove that the restricted enveloping algebra of L is a principal ideal ring if and only if L is an extension of a finite-dimensional torus by a cyclic restricted Lie algebra.  相似文献

In this paper, the main objective is to compare the abelian subalgebras and ideals of maximal dimension for finite-dimensional supersolvable Lie algebras. We characterise the maximal abelian subalgebras of solvable Lie algebras and study solvable Lie algebras containing an abelian subalgebra of codimension 2. Finally, we prove that nilpotent Lie algebras with an abelian subalgebra of codimension 3 contain an abelian ideal with the same dimension, provided that the characteristic of the underlying field is not 2. Throughout the paper, we also give several examples to clarify some results.  相似文献

Let gg be a finite dimensional complex simple classical Lie superalgebra and A   be a commutative, associative algebra with unity over CC. In this paper we define an integral form for the universal enveloping algebra of the map superalgebra g⊗AgA, and exhibit an explicit integral basis for this integral form.  相似文献

In this paper we use Quillen-Barr-Beck's theory of (co-) homology of algebras in order to define (co-) homology for the category RLie of restricted Lie algebras over a field k of characteristic p≠0. In contrast with the cases of groups, associative algebras and Lie algebras we do not obtain Hochschild (co-) homology shifted by 1.Precisely, we determine for LRLie the category of Beck L-modules and the group of Beck derivations of g∈RLie/L to a Beck L-module M. Moreover, we prove a classification theorem which gives a one-to-one correspondence between the one cohomology and the set of equivalent classes of p-extensions. Finally, a universal coefficient theorem is proved, relating the homology to the Hochschild homology via a short exact sequence. This shows that the new homology determines the Hochschild homology.  相似文献

Let g be a finite-dimensional simple Lie algebra and let Sg be the locally finite part of the algebra of invariants (EndCVSg(g)) where V is the direct sum of all simple finite-dimensional modules for g and S(g) is the symmetric algebra of g. Given an integral weight ξ, let Ψ=Ψ(ξ) be the subset of roots which have maximal scalar product with ξ. Given a dominant integral weight λ and ξ such that Ψ is a subset of the positive roots we construct a finite-dimensional subalgebra of Sg and prove that the algebra is Koszul of global dimension at most the cardinality of Ψ. Using this we construct naturally an infinite-dimensional non-commutative Koszul algebra of global dimension equal to the cardinality of Ψ. The results and the methods are motivated by the study of the category of finite-dimensional representations of the affine and quantum affine algebras.  相似文献

This article is to study relations between tubular algebras of Ringel and elliptic Lie algebras in the sense of Saito-Yoshii. Using the explicit structure of the derived categories of tubular algebras given by Happel-Ringel, we prove that the elliptic Lie algebra of type , , or is isomorphic to the Ringel-Hall Lie algebra of the root category of the tubular algebra with the same type. As a by-product of our proof, we obtain a Chevalley basis of the elliptic Lie algebra following indecomposable objects of the root category of the corresponding tubular algebra. This can be viewed as an analogue of the Frenkel-Malkin-Vybornov theorem in which they described a Chevalley basis for each untwisted affine Kac-Moody Lie algebra by using indecomposable representations of the corresponding affine quiver.  相似文献
