We consider the class of the continuous L 2,1 linear operators in L 2 that are sums of the operators of multiplication by bounded measurable functions and the operators sending the unit ball of L 2 into a compact subset of L 1. We prove that a functional equation with an operator from L 2,1 is equivalent to an integral equation with kernel satisfying the Carleman condition. We also prove that if TL 2,1 and VTV ?1L 2,1 for all unitary operators V in L 2 then T = α1 + C, where α is a scalar, 1 is the identity operator in L 2, and C is a compact operator in L 2.  相似文献

Close two-sided estimates are obtained for the best approximation in the space L p (? m ), m = 2 and 3, 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞, of the Laplace operator by linear bounded operators in the class of functions for which the second power of the Laplace operator belongs to the space L p (? m ). We estimate the best constant in the corresponding Kolmogorov inequality and the error of the optimal recovery of values of the Laplace operator on functions from this class given with an error. We present an operator whose deviation from the Laplace operator is close to the best.  相似文献

In this paper we obtain a sufficient condition for quite continuity of Fredholm type integral operators in the space L1(a, b). Uniform approximations by operators with degenerate kernels of horizontally striped structures are constructed. A quantitative error estimate is obtained. We point out the possibility of application of the obtained results to second kind integral equations, including convolution equations on a finite interval, equations with polar kernels, one-dimensional equations with potential type kernels, and some transport equations in non-homogeneous layers.  相似文献

Let E and F be Banach spaces. A linear operator from E to F is said to be strictly singular if, for any subspace Q ? E, the restriction of A to Q is not an isomorphism. A martingale transform T, applied to an integrable locally supported function f, is pointwise dominated by a positive sparse operator applied to |f|, the choice of sparse operator being a function of T and f. As a corollary, one derives the sharp A p bounds for martingale transforms, recently proved by Thiele-Treil-Volberg, as well as a number of new sharp weighted inequalities for martingale transforms. The (very easy) method of proof (a) only depends upon the weak-L 1 norm of maximal truncations of martingale transforms, (b) applies in the vector valued setting, and (c) has an extension to the continuous case, giving a new elementary proof of the A 2 bounds in that setting.  相似文献

In our previous papers, we introduced the notion of a generalized solution to the initial-boundary value problem for the wave equation with a boundary function µ(t) such that the integral ∫ 0 T (T ? t)|µ(t)| p dt exists. We characterize A-linear symmetric and contraction module operator semigroup{Tt}t∈R+L(l2(A)),where A is a finite-dimensional C-algebra,and L(l2(A))is the C-algebra of all adjointable module maps on l2(A).Next,we introduce the concept of operator-valued quadratic forms,and give a one to one correspondence between the set of non-positive definite self-adjoint regular module operators on l2(A)and the set of non-negative densely defined A-valued quadratic forms.In the end,we obtain that a real and strongly continuous symmetric semigroup{Tt}t∈R+L(l2(A))being Markovian if and only if the associated closed densely defined A-valued quadratic form is a Dirichlet form.  相似文献

We consider multidimensional integral Volterra type operators with kernels homogeneous of degree (?n); the operators act in L p -spaces with a submultiplicative weight. For these operators we obtain necessary and sufficient conditions of their invertibility. Besides, we describe the Banach algebra generated by the operators. Perturbed Hodge-Dirac operators and their holomorphic functional calculi, as investigated in the papers by Axelsson, Keith and the second author, provided insight into the solution of the Kato square-root problem for elliptic operators in L2 spaces and allowed for an extension of these estimates to other systems with applications to non-smooth boundary value problems. In this paper, we determine conditions under which such operators satisfy conical square function estimates in a range of L p spaces, thus allowing us to apply the theory of Hardy spaces associated with an operator to prove that they have a bounded holomorphic functional calculus in those L p spaces. We also obtain functional calculus results for restrictions to certain subspaces, for a larger range of p. This provides a framework for obtaining L p results on perturbed Hodge Laplacians, generalising known Riesz transform bounds for an elliptic operator L with bounded measurable coefficients, one Sobolev exponent below the Hodge exponent, and L p bounds on the square-root of L by the gradient, two Sobolev exponents below the Hodge exponent. Our proof shows that the heart of the harmonic analysis in L2 extends to L p for all p ∈ (1,∞), while the restrictions in p come from the operator-theoretic part of the L2 proof. In the course of our work, we obtain some results of independent interest about singular integral operators on tent spaces and about the relationship between conical and vertical square functions.  相似文献

If T is a multiplicity-free contraction of class C 0 with minimal function m T , then it is quasisimilar to the Jordan block S(m T ). In case m T is a Blaschke product with simple roots forming a Carleson sequence, we show that the relation between T and S(m T ) can be strengthened to similarity. We consider linear functional equations of the third kind in L 2 with arbitrary measurable coefficients and unbounded integral operators with kernels satisfying broad conditions. We propose methods for reducing these equations by linear continuous invertible transformations either to equivalent integral equations of the first kind with nuclear operators or to equivalent integral equations of the second kind with quasidegenerate Carleman kernels. To the integral equations obtained after the reduction, one can apply various exact and approximate methods of solution; in particular, the two approximate methods developed in this article.  相似文献

By replacement in the definition of the convolution operator of Fourier transform by a spectral transform of a selfadjoint Sturm-Liouville operator on the axis L, the concepts of Lconvolution and L-Wiener-Hopf operators are introduced. The case of the reflectorless potentials with a single eigenvalue is considered. A relationship between the Wiener-Hopf and L-Wiener- Hopf operators is established.
