The yield of singlet oxygen (1О2) in the decomposition of a number of hydrotrioxides of alcohols (cyclobutanol, cyclopentanol, cyclohexanol, cycloheptanol, cyclooctanol, L-menthol, 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol, 1,3,3-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol, heptan-4-ol, propanol-2, and 1-cyclopropylethanol) has been determined using the IR chemiluminescence technique. It has been shown that cyclopentanol, 1,3,3-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol and 1-cyclopropylethanol hydrotrioxides are efficient sources of singlet oxygen; the yield of 1О2 reaches up to 58%. 相似文献

Stereoselective [3+2] cycloadditions of trimethylenemethane (TMM) to the exocyclic CO and CN double bonds of (1S,3EZ,4R)-3-arylimino-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones gave the corresponding spiro[bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-2,2′-furan] and spiro[bicyclo[2.2.1]heptane-3,2′-pyrrolidine] derivatives. Further stereoselective reductions of the CN or CO bond in these cycloadducts furnished new chiral amines, diamines, and a new aminoalcohol. All cycloadditions and reductions of the CN double bonds took place from the less hindered endo-face of the (1S,3EZ,4R)-3-arylimino-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones, exclusively, thus giving the corresponding products in 100% de. The structures were determined by NMR, NOESY spectroscopy, and by X-ray diffraction. 相似文献

Stereoselective additions to the exocyclic CC double bond of some (1R,3E,4S)-3-alkylidene-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones and (1R,4E,5S)-4-alkylidene-1,8,8-trimethyl-2-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-ones were studied. All additions took place predominantly from the less hindered endo-face of the methylidene compounds to give the corresponding exo-adducts as the major isomers. Thus, catalytic hydrogenations afforded the α-alkylated (1R,3R,4R)-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones and (1R,4R,5R)-1,8,8-trimethyl-2-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]octan-3-ones in 28–100% de. Similarly, 1,3-dipolar cycloadditions of 2,4,6-trisubstituted benzonitrile oxides gave the corresponding spiro cycloadducts in 66–100% de. The structures were determined by 2D NMR techniques, NOESY spectroscopy and X–ray diffraction. 相似文献

Borneol is a monoterpene that is a part of traditional Chinese and Japanese medicine. (−) borneol reacted with methanesulfonyl
chloride in THF/pyridine to afford the new 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methane sulfonate derivative in excellent
yield. The product is characterized by H1NMR, C13NMR, mass spectroscopy as well as elemental analysis and its structure was identified by X-ray single crystal diffraction.
The packing of 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methanesulfonate exhibits the non-classical C-H···O hydrogen bonding
in C(4) and R2
2(8) chain and ring motifs as structural determinants. This was also confirmed by the analysis of Hirshfeld surfaces. The 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl
methane sulfonate antimicrobial activity was tested and compared with its parent (−) borneol against three different pathogens.
Particularly, 1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl methane sulfonate showed high sensitivity, compared to Chloramphenicol
reference material, against Escherichia coli.

Five tridentate Schiff bases have been prepared from (1R,2S,3R,4S)-3-amino-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol and salicylaldehydes. X-ray structure investigation revealed differences in their molecular conformation, and their titanium(IV) complexes have been studied with NMR techniques. Among them the complex with the Schiff base obtained from 2-hydroxy-3-isopropylbenzaldehyde, is the most selective catalyst for the cyanosilylation of aliphatic, alicyclic, aromatic, and heteroaromatic aldehydes. The highest enantioselectivity, >99%, was achieved for the addition of trimethylsilyl cyanide to cinnamaldehyde. 相似文献

Reductions of (1R,3R,4R)-3-([1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-x]azin-3-yl)-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones and their lactone analogues, prepared from (1R)-(+)-camphor, were studied. Catalytic hydrogenation selectively led to partial saturation of the [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-x]azine residue, while in reactions with borane–methylsulfide coordination of borane to the 1-position of [1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-x]azine system took place. On the other hand, activation of the carbonyl group in (1R,3R,4R)-3-([1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-x]azin-3-yl)-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ones with boron trifluoride etherate followed by reaction with borane–methylsulfide furnished the corresponding isoborneols, stereoselectively. The new cyclodiphosph(V)azane derivatives (1,3-dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-2',4'-bis(2,4-bis(dimethylaminopropylimino)cyclodiphosph(V)azane (H2L1) (1,3-dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-2',4'-bis(2,4-bis(dimethylaminoethylimino)cyclodiphosph(V)azane (H2L2) and (1,3-dimethyl-2,4-dioxo-2'-(dimethylaminoethylimino)-4'-(dimethylaminopropyl-imino)cyclodiphosph(V)azane (H2L3) containing four active coordination centers (NNNN) and their Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, spectroscopic methods, molar conductance as well as thermal and magnetic measurements. The UV–Vis and mass spectra of the ligands and their Cu(II) complexes were also recorded. The copper(II) complexes were found to have magnetic moments of 1.58–1.69 B. M. corresponding to one unpaired electron. The possible geometries of the complexes were assigned on the basis of EPR, electronic, and infrared spectral studies. The absence of water molecules in all complexes was supported by thermal studies. All the thermal decomposition processes ended with the formation of CuO. The kinetic and thermodynamic parameters have been calculated. The ligand (H2L3) and its Cu(II) complexes were screened for their anticancer studies against human breast cancer cell lines MCF-7 and minimum inhibitory concentration was calculated. The screening was extended to the antibacterial activity using Kirby–Bauer single disk susceptibility test for all compounds. 相似文献

The structure of a constrained bicyclic chiral derivatizing agent (CDA), 1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,4-epoxynaphthalene-1-carboxylic acid, THENA 1, was modified by replacing both exo-methylene protons with deuterium atoms. The modified CDA, THENA-d22, could be used to assign the absolute configuration of chiral secondary alcohols with good reliability. Compared with THENA, the multiplicity of the methylene proton signals in the 1H NMR spectra of THENA-d2 derivatives is less complicated and the new CDA thus offers simpler NMR spectra for data interpretation. 相似文献

2-(Phenylethynyl)isoborneol was synthesized by treatment of camphor with lithium phenylacetylide. Skeletal rearrangements of the title compound under the Ritter reaction conditions afforded a mixture of N-(4-phenylethynyl- and 4-benzoylmethyl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl)acetamides at a ratio of 8:3. The reaction of 2-(phenylethynyl)isoborneol with formic acid involved mainly Meyer-Schuster rearrangement instead of the expected Rupe rearrangement, and the major product was 2-(1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ylidene)-1-phenylethanone. The minor product (∼6%) was 1-(2-hydroxy-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-yl)-2-phenylethanone. A convenient preparation of (1R,2S,3R,4S)-3-(neopentyloxy)isoborneol (= (1R,2S,3R,4S)-3-(2,2-dimethyl-propoxy)-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-ol; 1a ), a valuable chiral auxiliary, is described. The synthesis involves six steps starting from the readily available camphorquinone ( 5 ) and gives 1a in 48% overall yield. A reliable method for determining the enantiomeric composition of 1,2-diols by the formation of diastereomeric cyclic esters with boronic acid is described. Starting from a previously reported structure of boronic chiral derivatizing agent (CDA), seven structurally related racemic CDAs were synthesized and their discriminating ability towards diols measured. The most promising amongst these was synthesized in its enantiomerically pure form according to Matteson’s protocol for the stereoselective homologation of pinanediol boronates; this CDA quantitatively and rapidly reacts with 1,2-diols in very mild conditions affording a couple of diastereoisomers, whose composition can be determined via 1H NMR analysis. In particular, an attractive feature is that the resonance used for the analysis originated from the CDA as a couple of baseline-separated singlets (Δδ up to 0.3 ppm) is useful for integration. 相似文献

[structures: see text] A class II aldolase-mimicking synthetic polymer was prepared by the molecular imprinting of a complex of cobalt (II) ion and either (1S,3S,4S)-3-benzoyl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one (4a) or (1R,3R,4R)-3-benzoyl-1,7,7-trimethylbicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-one (4b) in a 4-vinylpyridine-styrene-divinylbenzene copolymer. Evidence for the formation of interactions between the functional monomer and the template was obtained from NMR and VIS titration studies. The polymers imprinted with the template demonstrated enantioselective recognition of the corresponding template structure, and induced a 55-fold enhancement of the rate of reaction of camphor (1) with benzaldehyde (2), relative to the solution reactions, and were also compared to reactions with a series of reference polymers. Substrate chirality was observed to influence reaction rate, and the reaction could be competitively inhibited by dibenzoylmethane (6). Collectively, the results presented provide the first example of the use of enantioselective molecularly imprinted polymers for the catalysis of carbon-carbon bond formation. 相似文献

Coupling of a selone chiral derivatizing agent (CDA) to d,l-alkyl halides gives Se-alkylated adducts in yields ranging from 76–97%. Reaction of d,l-alcohols with the selone CDAs via the Mitsunobu reaction has given rise to Se-alkylated adducts in yields ranging from 82–92%.
