The isothermal phase equilibria of the carbon dioxide + cyclopropane mixed-gas hydrate system were investigated by means of static temperature measurement and Raman spectroscopic analysis. Raman spectra indicated that the crystal structure of the carbon dioxide + cyclopropane mixed-gas hydrate changes from structure-I to structure-II and back to structure-I with an increase of the equilibrium carbon dioxide composition at 279.15 K, while each simple gas hydrate belongs to structure-I at the temperature. Whereas, unlike 279.15 K, no structural phase transition occurs along the isothermal stability boundary at 284.15 K.  相似文献

The present study experimentally demonstrated clathrate hydrate formation in the systems of (methane + water + each of the three methylcyclohexanone isomers, i.e., 2-methylcyclohexanone, 3-methylcyclohexanone, and 4-methylcyclohexanone) and measured the first data of the quadruple (water rich liquid + hydrate + methylcyclohexanone rich liquid + methane rich vapor) equilibrium pressure and temperature conditions in these systems over the temperatures from T=273 K to T=281 K. In the three systems with methylcyclohexanone, the measured equilibrium pressure at each given temperature is ∼1.3 MPa lower than that in a structure-I hydrate forming (methane + water) system without any methylcyclohexanone, which suggests the formation of structure-H hydrates with methylcyclohexanones as large-molecule guest substances. Among the three systems, 3-methylcyclohexanone provides the highest equilibrium pressure, and 2-methylcyclohexanone, the lowest.  相似文献

Fluid–fluid and fluid–solid phase equilibrium were experimentally determined under pressure on the system methane + heptadecane using a full visibility cell. Measurements were performed using the synthetic method on mixtures ranging from pure heptadecane to 99% of methane. The liquid–solid phase transitions were investigated up to 90 MPa and fluid phase boundary was studied in the temperature domain from 293 to 373 K. The appearance of a minimum in the three phase (V–L–S) equilibrium curve is discussed and it is shown that the difference in the solid phase structure and the presence of a solid–solid phase transition do not affect significantly the phase diagram determined.  相似文献

Tie line data of the ternary system {methanol + isooctane + cyclohexane} were obtained at T = 303.15 K. A quaternary system containing these three compounds and benzene was also studied at the same temperature, while data for {methanol + benzene + cyclohexane} and {methanol + benzene + isooctane} were taken from literature. In order to obtain the binodal surface of the quaternary system, four quaternary sectional planes with several cyclohexane/isooctane ratios were studied. The distribution of benzene between both phases was also analysed. Ternary experimental results were correlated with the UNIQUAC and NRTL equations and compared with predictions using the UNIFAC group contribution method.  相似文献

Liquid–vapour and fluid–solid phase transitions were experimentally determined under pressure on the system methane + a ternary waxy mixture using a full visibility cell. The wax was an approximately equimolar mixture of n-C16, n-C17 and n-C18, the composition being chosen to obtain a mixture with an average molecular weight similar to heptadecane. Measurements were performed according to the synthetic method on different mixtures ranging from 0 to 99.5 mol% of methane. The liquid–solid phase transitions were investigated up to 100 MPa and fluid phase boundary was studied in the temperature domain from 293 to 373 K. Measurements performed on this pseudo-binary system were compared to the phase diagram of the binary system methane + heptadecane.  相似文献

Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibrium (VLE) data of the reactive quaternary system ethanol (1) + water (2) + ethyl lactate (3) + lactic acid (4) have been determined experimentally. Additionally, the reaction equilibrium constant was calculated for each VLE experimental data. The experimental VLE data were correlated using the UNIQUAC equation to describe the chemical and phase equilibria simultaneously. For some of the non-reactive binary systems, UNIQUAC binary interaction parameters were obtained from the literature. The rest of the binary UNIQUAC parameters were obtained by correlating the experimental quaternary VLE data obtained in this work. A maximum pressure azeotrope at high water concentration for the binary reactive system ethyl lactate + water has been calculated.  相似文献

In this communication, we report experimental dissociation conditions for region clathrate hydrates of methane + carbon dioxide in gas–liquid water–hydrate (G–Lw–H) equilibrium. The temperature and pressure conditions are in the range of (279.1–289.9) K and (2.96–13.06) MPa, respectively. Concentrations of carbon dioxide in the feed gas are also varied. An isochoric pressure-search method was used to perform the measurements. The dissociation data generated in this work along with the literature data are compared with the predictions of a thermodynamic model and a previously reported empirical equation. A discussion is made on the deviations between the experimental and predicted data.  相似文献

The FT-Raman spectra of caffeine hydrate and anhydrous β-caffeine have been recorded. The accelerated dehydration of the hydrate has been monitored at 30, 35 and 40°C using an environmental chamber. The spectra representing the individual pseudopolymorphic phases differed subtly throughout the entire spectral range. Gradual broadening of the =CH stretching vibration observed at 3121 cm−1 and the progressive appearance of a C=O stretch at 1656 cm−1 were ascribed to intermolecular bonding between CH and C=O in the anhydrous phase. Accompanying loss of resolution of CH deformations in the lower wavenumber region observed at 1475 and 1255 cm−1 supports the suggestion of intermolecular association involving CH. Concurrent loss of resolution of the weak C=N stretch at 1454 cm−1 and recession of the medium intensity H---C=N deformation at 1255 cm−1 were also detected, acknowledging the loss of interaction between N9 of the imidazole ring and the water molecule. The concomitant disappearance of the weak H2O libration at 890 cm−1 is observed, which suggests the occurrence of molecular realignment associated with corresponding loss of water of crystallisation. On removal of the hydrate backbone of the caffeine hydrate crystal structure, the lattice collapses, resulting in reduction of the intermolecular distance between individual caffeine molecules. The subsequent formation of a less rigid structure is evident, whereby molecules are weakly associated by unconventional CH…O interactions.  相似文献

Water activity measurements by isopiestic method have been carried out on the aqueous solutions of alanine + tri-potassium citrate (K3Cit) over a range of temperatures at atmospheric pressure. From these measurements, values of the vapor pressure of solutions were determined. The effect of temperature on the vapor–liquid equilibrium of alanine + K3Cit + H2O systems has been studied. The experimental water activities have been correlated successfully with the segment-based local composition Wilson and NRTL models. The agreement between the correlations and the experimental data is good.  相似文献

The vapour pressures of the binary systems 1,2-dichloroethane + cyclohexanone, chloroform + cyclopentanone and chloroform + cyclohexanone mixtures were measured at temperatures between 298.15 and 318.15 K. The vapour pressures vs. liquid phase composition data for three isotherms have been used to calculate the activity coefficients of the two components and the excess molar Gibbs energies, GE, for these mixtures, using Barker's method. Redlich–Kister, Wilson, NRTL and UNIQUAC equations, taking into account the vapour phase imperfection in terms of the 2-nd virial coefficient, have represented the GE values. No significant difference between GE values obtained with these equations has been observed. Our data on vapour–liquid equilibria (VLE) and excess properties of the studied systems are examined in terms of the DISQUAC and modified UNIFAC (Dortmund) predictive group contributions models.  相似文献

Phase equilibrium data have been measured for the ternary system hyperbranched polyglycerol + methanol + carbon dioxide at temperatures of 313–450 K and pressures up to 13.5 MPa. Phase changes were determined according to a synthetic method using the Cailletet setup. At elevated temperatures the system shows a liquid–liquid–vapor region with lower solution temperatures. Besides the vapor–liquid and liquid–liquid equilibria, the vapor–liquid to vapor–liquid–liquid and vapor–liquid–liquid to liquid–liquid phase boundaries are reported at different polymer molar masses and can serve as test sets for thermodynamic models. A distinct influence of the polymer molar mass on the vapor–liquid equilibrium can be noticed and indicates the existence of structural effects due to the polymer branching. Modeling the systems with the PCP-SAFT equation of state confirms these findings.  相似文献

In this work, liquid–liquid equilibrium data were measured for three quinary mixtures (nonane + undecane + benzene + toluene + sulfolane), (nonane + undecane + benzene + m-xylene + sulfolane) and (nonane + undecane + toluene + m-xylene + sulfolane) at 298.15 and 313.15 K and ambient pressure. The experimental LLE data were determined by using a jacketed glass cell with temperature controlled. The quantitative analysis was performed by using a Varian gas chromatograph equipped with a flame ionization detector and a SPB™-1 column. The experimental quinary liquid–liquid equilibrium data have been satisfactorily correlated by using NRTL and UNIFAC-LLE models. The calculated values based on the NRTL model were found to be in a better agreement with the experiment than those based on the UNIFAC-LLE model.  相似文献

In order to show the influence of temperature on the liquid-liquid equilibria (LLE) of {methanol (1) + benzene (2) + hexane (3)} ternary system, equilibrium data at T = (278.15, 283.15, and 293.15) K are reported. The effect of the temperature on liquid-liquid equilibrium is determined and discussed. Ternary system is available from the literature at T = 298 K. All chemicals were quantified by gas chromatography using a thermal conductivity detector. The solubility data for methanol + hexane and the upper critical temperature (UCST) at 308.3 K was reported. The tie line data for the ternary system were satisfactorily correlated by the Othmer and Tobias method, and the plait point coordinates for the three temperatures were estimated. Experimental data for the ternary system are compared with values calculated by the NRTL and UNIQUAC equations, and predicted by means of the UNIFAC group contribution method. It is found that the UNIQUAC and NRTL models provide similar good correlations of the equilibrium data at these three temperatures. Finally, the UNIFAC model predicts an immiscibility region larger than the experimental observed. Distribution coefficients were also analysed through distribution curves.  相似文献

Water activity measurements have been carried out on the aqueous solutions of both tri-potassium citrate (K3Cit) and polypropylene oxide (PPO) 400 + K3Cit over a range of temperatures at atmospheric pressure. The data obtained is used to calculate the vapor pressure as a function of temperature and concentration. The effect of temperature on the constant water activity lines of aqueous PPO + K3Cit systems has been studied and it was found that, at higher temperatures the higher concentration of polymer is in equilibrium with a certain concentration of the salt. Also it was found that the vapor pressure depression for an aqueous PPO + K3Cit system is more than the sum of those for the corresponding binary solutions. The experimental water activities have been correlated successfully with the segment-based local composition Wilson model. The agreement between the correlation and the experimental data is good.  相似文献

Isobaric vapor–liquid equilibria were measured for three binary systems of water + propyleneglycol monomethyl ether (PGME), water + propyleneglycol monomethyl ether acetate (PGMEA), and PGME + PGMEA at 93.3, 53.3, 26.7 kPa. The equipment used was a modified Rogalski-Malanoski equilibrium still and an ebulliometer. The NRTL equation correlated the experimental binary data with good accuracy.  相似文献

Liquid–liquid equilibrium (LLE) data of the solubility (binodal) curves and tie-line end compositions were examined for mixtures of {(water (1) + levulinic acid (2) + dimethyl succinate or dimethyl glutarate or dimethyl adipate (3)} at 298.15 K and 101.3 ± 0.7 kPa. The reliability of the experimental tie-line data was confirmed by using the Othmer–Tobias correlation. The LLE data of the ternary systems were predicted by UNIFAC method. The LLE data were correlated fairly well with UNIQUAC and NRTL models, indicating the reliability of the UNIQUAC and NRTL equations for these ternary systems. The best results were achieved with the NRTL equation, using non-randomness parameter (α = 0.3) for the correlation. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were measured to evaluate the extracting capability of the solvents.  相似文献

Solid–liquid equilibrium was measured for benzene + cyclohexane, trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene under the atmospheric pressure in the temperature range from 226.69 to 353.14 K. The apparatus was specially designed in this study, and it was based on a cooling method. The phase diagram with the complete immiscible solids was observed for the three systems, and the eutectic point was found at x2 = 0.2709 and Teu = 232.11 K for benzene + cyclohexane, x2 = 0.9816 and Teu = 241.98 K for trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and x3 = 0.9822 and Teu = 225.74 K for cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, respectively. Hydrogen solubility was also measured for the two pure substances, trans-decahydronaphthalene and cis-decahydronaphthalene, and the three mixtures, trans-decahydronaphthalene + cis-decahydronaphthalene, trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, in the pressure range from 1.702 to 4.473 MPa at 303.15 K. Considering the solid–liquid equilibrium data, mole ratio of trans-decahydronaphthalene:cis-decahydronaphthalene was set to 50:50, and those of trans-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene, and cis-decahydronaphthalene + naphthalene to 85:15. The hydrogen solubility increased linearly with the pressure following the Henry's law for all systems. The experimental solubility data were correlated or predicted with the Peng–Robinson equation of state [D.Y. Peng, D.B. Robinson, Ind. Eng. Chem. Fundam. 15 (1976) 59–64; R. Stryjek, J.H. Vera, Can. J. Chem. Eng. 64 (1986) 323–333].  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium (LLE) data for the {water + acetic acid + dibasic esters mixture (dimethyl adipate + dimethyl glutarate + dimethyl succinate)} system have been determined experimentally at T = (298.2, 308.2, and 318.2) K. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by determining solubility curve and tie-line data. The reliability of the experimental tie-line data was confirmed by using the Othmer-Tobias correlation. The UNIFAC model was used to predict the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data between CH2, CH3COO, CH3, COOH, and H2O functional groups. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were compared with previous studies.  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium (LLE) data for ternary system {heptane (1) + m-xylene (2) + N-formylmorpholine (3)} have been determined experimentally at temperatures ranging from 298.15 K to 353.15 K. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by determining solubility and tie-line data. Tie-line compositions were correlated by Othmer-Tobias and Bachman methods. The universal quasichemical activity coefficient (UNIQUAC) and The non-random two liquids equation (NRTL) were used to correlate the phase equilibrium in the system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data. It is found that UNIQUAC and NRTL used for LLE could provide a good correlation. Distribution coefficients, separation factors, and selectivity were evaluated for the immiscibility region.  相似文献
