Densities ρ and viscosities η of two hydroxamic acids, N-phenyl-2-chlorobenzo- and N-o-tolyl-4-chlorobenzo-, have been determined as a function of their concentration in aqueous acetone solution at temperatures 303.15 and 313.15 K. Apparent molar volumes, standard-state partial molar volumes and relative viscosities have been calculated. The viscosity data have been analyzed using Jones-Dole equation. The activation thermodynamic parameters of viscous flow have been evaluated using Feakins equation. These were obtained to throw light on the mechanism of viscous flow. Thermodynamic interactions in solutions have been studied in terms of a number of excess functions calculated from the experimental data. The effect of hydroxamic acid concentration and temperature on these parameters has been discussed. The results were interpreted in the light of solute-solvent interactions in aquo-organic media.  相似文献

The partial molar volumes, , and partial molar heat capacities, , at infinite dilution have been determined for the compounds N-acetylasparaginamide, N-acetylglutaminamide, N-acetyltyrosinamide, and N-acetyllysinamide monohydrochloride in aqueous solution at T = (288.15, 298.15, 313.15, and 328.15) K. These results, along with the literature data for the compound N-acetylglycinamide, have been used to calculate the amino acid side-chain contributions to the thermodynamic properties. These side-chain contributions are compared with those obtained using small peptides as side-chain model compounds.  相似文献

We determined apparent molar volumes V? from densities measured with a vibrating-tube densimeter at 278.15 ? (T/K) ? 368.15 and apparent molar heat capacities Cp,? with a twin fixed-cell, differential, temperature-scanning calorimeter at 278.15 ? (T/K) ? 363.15 for aqueous solutions of N-acetyl-d-glucosamine at m from (0.01 to 1.0) mol · kg−1 and at p = 0.35 MPa. We also determined V? at 278.15 ? (T/K) ? 368.15 and Cp,? at 278.15 ? (T/K) ? 393.15 for aqueous solutions of N-methylacetamide at m from (0.015 to 1.0) mol · kg−1 and at p = 0.35 MPa. Empirical functions of m and T for each compound were fitted to our results, which are then compared to those for N,N-dimethylacetamide. Estimated values of ΔrVm(mT) and ΔrCp,m(mT) for formation of aqueous N-acetyl-d-glucosamine from aqueous d-glucose and aqueous acetamide are calculated and discussed.  相似文献

The experimental data for the density (ρ) and viscosity (η) are reported for aqueous binary mixtures of different glycol ethers, namely ethylene glycol monomethyl ether (EGMME), ethylene glycol monoethyl ether (EGMEE), diethylene glycol monomethyl ether (DEGMME), and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether (DEGMEE), at different temperatures (T = 275.15 K and 283.15 K) within the concentration range 0 mol · kg−1 to 0.1 mol · kg−1. The values of density (ρ) and viscosity (η) of the solutions were used to compute different derived parameters, such as apparent molar volume (?V) of the solute, excess molar volume (VE) of the solution, viscosity B and D coefficients of solution and temperature coefficient of viscosity B-coefficient (dB/dT) of solution. The limiting apparent molar volume of the solutes () have been obtained for aqueous binary mixtures of these glycol ethers by smooth extrapolation of ?Vm curves to zero concentration. By using the values of , the limiting excess partial molar volumes () have also been calculated. The results are interpreted in term of various interactions such as solute–solvent interactions and hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

Summary.  Density and viscosity of NaNO3 and KNO3 in aqueous and in H2O-urea solutions were determined as a function of electrolyte concentrations at 308, 313, 318, 323, and 328 K, respectively. The apparent molal volume (φ v ) of the electrolytes were found to be linear functions of the square root of the solute molality (b). The φ v and data were fitted to the Masson equation [1] by the least square method to obtain the apparent molar volume at infinite dilution (φ v ^), which is practically equal to the partial molar volume . The viscosity coefficients A and B were calculated on the basis of the viscosity of the solutions and the solvent concerned using the JonesDole [2] equation. The activation parameters for viscous flow (ΔG , ΔS , and ΔH ) were calculated according to Eyring [3]. The values of for the two systems were also calculated from B-coefficient data. The results were found to be of opposite nature in the two electrolyte systems. Where sodium nitrate showed structure making behaviour both in aqueous and in H2O-urea solutions, KNO3 showed structure breaking behaviour in aqueous solutions and structure making behaviour in 5 molal H2O-urea solutions in the studied temperature range. The behaviour of these two electrolytes in aqueous binary and in aqueous-urea ternary systems are discussed in terms of charge, size, and hydrogen bonding effects. Corresponding author. Apparent molar volumes and apparent molar isentropic compressibilities of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and thiamine hydrochloride (vitamin B1) were determined from accurately measured density and sound velocity data in water and in aqueous NaCl solutions at (283.15, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K. These volume and compressibility data were extrapolated to zero concentration using suitable empirical or theoretical equations to determine the corresponding infinite dilution values. Apparent molar expansibilities at infinite dilution were determined from slopes of apparent molar volume vs. temperature plots. Ionization of both ascorbic acid and thiamine hydrochloride were suppressed using sufficiently acidic solutions. Apparent molar volumes at infinite dilution for ascorbic acid and thiamine hydrochloride were found to increase with temperature in acidic solutions and in the presence of co-solute, NaCl. Apparent molar expansibility at infinite dilution were found to be constant over the temperature range studied and were all positive, indicating the hydrophilic character of the two vitamins studied in water and in the presence of co-solute, NaCl. Apparent molar isentropic compressibilities of ascorbic acid at infinite dilution were positive in water and in the presence of co-solute, NaCl, at low molalities. Those of thiamine hydrochloride at infinitive dilution were all negative, consistent with its ionic nature. Transfer apparent molar volumes of vitamins at infinite dilution from water solutions to NaCl solutions at various temperatures were determined. The results were interpreted in terms of complex vitamin-water-co-solute (NaCl) interactions.  相似文献

The enthalpies of mixing of glycine, l-α-alanine, l-γ-aminobutyric acid, l-α-valine, l-α-serine and l-α-threonine with cyclohexanone in aqueous solutions and their respective enthalpies of dilution have been measured by calorimetry at 298.15 K. Experimental enthalpies of dilution and mixing have been correlated with the virial expansion equation that was obtained with the McMillan-Mayer theory. The enthalpic interaction parameters hxy, hxxy and hxyy of the amino acids studied with cyclohexanone in aqueous solutions have been evaluated, and the heterotactic enthalpic pair interaction coefficients (hxy) are discussed in terms of solute-solute interactions.  相似文献

Densities of the water + ethylenediamine binary system were measured at atmospheric pressure over the whole range of compositions at temperatures from 288.15 to 353.15 K using an Anton Paar digital vibrating glass tube densimeter. Density increases with water content. The experimental excess molar volume data have been correlated with the Redlich-Kister equation, and partial molar volumes calculated at infinite dilution for each component.  相似文献

The apparent molar volume of paracetamol (4-acetamidophenol) in water, 0.1 M HCl and 0.154 M NaCl as solvents at (298.15, 303.15, 308.15 and 310.65) K temperatures and at a pressure of 101.325 kPa were determined from the density data obtained with the help of a vibrating-tube Anton Paar DMA-48 densimeter. The partial molar volume, Vm, of paracetamol in these solvents at different temperatures was evaluated by extrapolating the apparent molar volume versus molality plots to m = 0. In addition, the partial molar expansivity, E°, the isobaric coefficient of thermal expansion, αp, and the interaction coefficient, Sv, have also been computed. The expansivity data show dependence of E° values on the structure of the solute molecules.  相似文献

Molar conductance of lithium acetate, sodium acetate and potassium acetate were studied in aqueous 2-butanol solutions with an alcohol mass fraction (w2) of 0.70, 0.80 and 0.90 at 298.15, 303.15 and 308.15 K. The conductance data were analyzed with the Fuoss conductance-concentration equation to evaluate the limiting molar conductances (Λ0), association constants (KA,c) and cosphere diameter (R) for ion-pair formation. Gibbs energy (ΔG0), enthalpy (ΔH0) and entropy (ΔS0) for ion-association reaction were derived from the temperature dependence of KA,c. Activation energy for ionic movement (ΔH#) was derived from the temperature dependence of Λ0. Based on the composition dependence of Walden products (Λ0η0) and different thermodynamic properties (ΔG0H0, ΔS0 and ΔH#), the influence of the solvent composition on ion-association and solvation behavior of ions were discussed in terms of ion-solvent, ion-ion interactions and the structural changes in the mixed solvent media.  相似文献

Experimental density and the refractive index of the ternary mixture acetone + n-hexane + water, and their binary systems were experimentally measured and correlated at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. A maximum in refractive indices has been observed for the acetone + water system while the excess molar volume and the molar refraction change are all negative. For the mixture acetone + n-hexane, the excess molar volume is always positive and the molar refraction change of mixing showed a S-shaped dependence on acetone composition. The excess molar volumes and molar refraction changes of mixing were correlated using the Redlich-Kister expression and Cibulka equation. The coefficients and standard deviation between the experimental and fitted values were estimated. Good agreement between both results was obtained.  相似文献

Densities, ρ, and speed of sound, u for glycine, L-alanine and L-valine in (0.2, 0.4, 0.6, and 0.8) mol · kg−1 aqueous solutions of trisodium citrate at T = (288.15, 298.15, 308.15 and 318.15) K have been measured. The different parameters such as apparent molar volume, limiting apparent molar volume, transfer volume, have been derived from density data. Experimental values of the speed of sound were used to estimate apparent molar apparent molar isentropic compression, limiting apparent molar isentropic compression, and transfer parameter. Excess volumes (VE) ultrasonic sound velocities (u), isentropic compressibilities (Ks) and viscosities (η) have been measured for the binary mixtures of dimethylsulphoxide (DMSO) with 1,2-dichlorobenzene, 1,3-dichlorobenzene, 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene, o-chlorotoluene, m-chlorotoluene, p-chlorotoluene, o-nitrotoluene and m-nitrotoluene at T = 303.15 K. The measured VE values were positive over the entire composition range in all the binary mixtures. Isentropic compressibilities (Ks) have been computed for the same systems from precise sound velocity and density data. Further, deviation in isentropic compressibility (ΔKs) from ideal behaviour was also calculated. The viscosity data are analysed on the basis of corresponding states approach. Deviation in viscosities are positive over the entire composition range. The measured data is explained on the basis of intermolecular interactions between unlike molecules.  相似文献

These measurements have been carried out to evaluate some important parameters, viz., apparent molar volume (φv), partial molar volume (φv0), transfer volume (φ0v (tr)), viscosity A and B coefficients of Jones-Dole equation, free energies of activation per mole of solvent (△μ0#1) and solute (△μ0#2),enthalpies (△H*) and entropies (△S*) of activation of viscous flow, variation of B with temperature ((a)B/(a)T)P, and molar refractive index (RD). The enthalpies of dilution have been measured for aqueous Li2B4O7 solutions from 0.0212 to 2.1530 mol kg−1 at 298.15 K. The relative apparent molar enthalpies, L?, and relative partial molar enthalpies of the solvent and solute, and were calculated.
