Denote by cf(X) the set of all nonempty convex closed subsets of a separable Banach space X. Let (Ω,Σ,μ) be a complete probability space and denote by (L1[Σ,cf(X)],Δ) the complete metric space of (equivalence classes of a.e. equal) integrably bounded cf(X)-valued functions. For any preassigned filtration (Σi), we describe the space of Δ-convergent integrably bounded cf(X)-valued martingales in terms of the Δ-closure of in L1[Σ,cf(X)]. In particular, we provide a formula to calculate the join of two such martingales and the positive part of such a martingale. Our object is achieved by considering the more general setting of a near vector lattice (S,d), endowed with a Riesz metric d. By means of Rådström's embedding theorem for such spaces, a link is established between the space of convergent martingales in S and the space of convergent martingales in the Rådström completion R(S) of S. This link provides information about the former space of martingales, via known properties of measure-free martingales in Riesz normed vector lattices, applicable to R(S). We also apply our general results to the spaces of Δ-convergent ck(X)-valued martingales, where ck(X) denotes the set of all nonempty convex compact subsets of X.  相似文献

The notion of a bead metric space defined here (see Definition 6) is a nice generalization of that of the uniformly convex normed space. In turn, the idea of a central point for a mapping when combined with the “single central point” property of the bead spaces enables us to obtain strong and elegant extensions of the Browder-Göhde-Kirk fixed point theorem for nonexpansive mappings (see Theorems 14-17). Their proofs are based on a very simple reasoning. We also prove two theorems on continuous selections for metric and Hilbert spaces. They are followed by fixed point theorems of Schauder type. In the final part we obtain a result on nonempty intersection.  相似文献

The framework of transitions and mutational calculus inspired by shape optimization allows the notions of derivative, tangent cone, and differential equation to be extended to a metric space and especially to the family of all nonempty compact subsets of a given domainE. It gives tools to study the evolution of tubes and fundamental theorems such as those of Cauchy-Lipschitz, Nagumo, or Lyapunov, well known in vector spaces, can be adapted to mutational equations. The present paper deals with mutational inclusions of tubes which include many tube control problems and an adaptation of the Filippov theorem is proved. As a consequence, an invariance theorem is stated.  相似文献

We give a new proof for the existence and uniqueness (up to translation) of plane minimal pairs of convex bodies in a given equivalence class of the Hörmander-R»dström lattice, as well as a complete characterization of plane minimal pairs using surface area measures. Moreover, we introduce the so-called reduced pairs, which are special minimal pairs. For the plane case, we characterize reduced pairs as those pairs of convex bodies whose surface area measures are mutually singular. For higher dimensions, we give two sufficient conditions for the minimality of a pair of convex polytopes, as well as a necessary and sufficient criterion for a pair of convex polytopes to be reduced. We conclude by showing that a typical pair of convex bodies, in the sense of Baire category, is reduced, and hence the unique minimal pair in its equivalence class.  相似文献

Scalarization of fuzzy multiobjective programming problems using the embedding theorem and the concept of convex cone (ordering cone) is proposed in this paper. Since the set of all fuzzy numbers can be embedded into a normed space, this motivation naturally inspires us to invoke the scalarization techniques in vector optimization problems to evaluate the a multiobjective programming problem. In [2] those locally convex spaces E, called GN-spaces, were investigated, for which every closed linear mapping from E to any normed space F is continuous. Here we study the smaller class of spaces E, called GM-spaces, which arise by admitting now for F all metrizable locally convex spaces. The GM-spaces have characterizations and permanence properties similar to those for GN-spaces. Main results are the barrelledness of every dense subspace of a GM-space, the finite dimension of the bounded subsets of separated GM-spaces, an embedding theorem., and the existence of separated GM-spaces which do not have the finest locally convex topology.  相似文献

This paper addresses properties of maps of bounded p-variation (p>1) in the sense of N. Wiener, which are defined on a subset of the real line and take values in metric or normed spaces. We prove the structural theorem for these maps and study their continuity properties. We obtain the existence of a Hölder continuous path of minimal p-variation between two points and establish the compactness theorem relative to the p-variation, which is an analog of the well-known Helly selection principle in the theory of functions of bounded variation. We prove that the space of maps of bounded p-variation with values in a Banach space is also a Banach space. We give an example of a Hölder continuous of exponent 0<<1 set-valued map with no continuous selection. In the case p=1 we show that a compact absolutely continuous set-valued map from the compact interval into subsets of a Banach space admits an absolutely continuous selection.  相似文献

Let us consider two nonempty subsets A,B of a normed linear space X, and let us denote by 2B the set of all subsets of B. We introduce a new class of multivalued mappings {T:A→2B}, called R-KKM mappings, which extends the notion of KKM mappings. First, we discuss some sufficient conditions for which the set ∩{T(x):xA} is nonempty. Using this nonempty intersection theorem, we attempt to prove a extended version of the Fan-Browder multivalued fixed point theorem, in a normed linear space setting, by providing an existence of a best proximity point.  相似文献

Summary In [4] a central limit theorem for the number of vertices of the convex hull of a uniform sample from the interior of a convex polygon is derived. This is done by approximating the process of vertices of the convex hull by the process of extreme points of a Poisson point process and by considering the latter process of extreme points as a Markov process (for a particular parametrization). We show that this method can also be applied to derive limit theorems for the boundary length and for the area of the convex hull. This extents results of Rényi and Sulanke (1963) and Buchta (1984), and shows that the boundary length and the area have a strikingly different probabilistic behavior.  相似文献

We prove that interiority conditions imply tangency conditions for two multivalued mappings from a topological space into a normed vector space. As a consequence, we obtain the lower semicontinuity of the intersection of two multivalued mappings. The hybrid method in mathematical programming was introduced by Haugazeau (1968) [1] and he proved a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of finite nonempty closed convex subsets of a real Hilbert space. Later, Bauschke and Combettes (2001) [2] proposed some condition for a family of mappings (the so-called coherent condition) and established interesting results by the hybrid method. The authors (Nakajo et al., 2009) [10] extended Bauschke and Combettes’s results. In this paper, we introduce a condition weaker than the coherent condition and prove strong convergence theorems which generalize the results of Nakajo et al. (2009) [10]. And we get strong convergence theorems for a family of asymptotically κ-strict pseudo-contractions, a family of Lipschitz and pseudo-contractive mappings and a one-parameter uniformly Lipschitz semigroup of pseudo-contractive mappings.  相似文献

In this paper we prove general logical metatheorems which state that for large classes of theorems and proofs in (nonlinear) functional analysis it is possible to extract from the proofs effective bounds which depend only on very sparse local bounds on certain parameters. This means that the bounds are uniform for all parameters meeting these weak local boundedness conditions. The results vastly generalize related theorems due to the second author where the global boundedness of the underlying metric space (resp. a convex subset of a normed space) was assumed. Our results treat general classes of spaces such as metric, hyperbolic, CAT(0), normed, uniformly convex and inner product spaces and classes of functions such as nonexpansive, Hölder-Lipschitz, uniformly continuous, bounded and weakly quasi-nonexpansive ones. We give several applications in the area of metric fixed point theory. In particular, we show that the uniformities observed in a number of recently found effective bounds (by proof theoretic analysis) can be seen as instances of our general logical results.

Scalarization of the fuzzy optimization problems using the embedding theorem and the concept of convex cone (ordering cone) is proposed in this paper. Two solution concepts are proposed by considering two convex cones. The set of all fuzzy numbers can be embedded into a normed space. This motivation naturally inspires us to invoke the scalarization techniques in vector optimization problems to solve the fuzzy optimization problems. By applying scalarization to the optimization problem with fuzzy coefficients, we obtain its corresponding scalar optimization problem. Finally, we show that the optimal solution of its corresponding scalar optimization problem is the optimal solution of the original fuzzy optimization problem.  相似文献

In this paper, we first derive several characterizations of the nonemptiness and compactness for the solution set of a convex scalar set-valued optimization problem (with or without cone constraints) in which the decision space is finite-dimensional. The characterizations are expressed in terms of the coercivity of some scalar set-valued maps and the well-posedness of the set-valued optimization problem, respectively. Then we investigate characterizations of the nonemptiness and compactness for the weakly efficient solution set of a convex vector set-valued optimization problem (with or without cone constraints) in which the objective space is a normed space ordered by a nontrivial, closed and convex cone with nonempty interior and the decision space is finite-dimensional. We establish that the nonemptiness and compactness for the weakly efficient solution set of a convex vector set-valued optimization problem (with or without cone constraints) can be exactly characterized as those of a family of linearly scalarized convex set-valued optimization problems and the well-posedness of the original problem.  相似文献

A new condition for mappings, called condition (C), which is more general than nonexpansiveness, was recently introduced by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. Following the idea of Kirk and Massa Theorem in [W.A. Kirk, S. Massa, Remarks on asymptotic and Chebyshev centers, Houston J. Math. 16 (1990) 364-375], we prove a fixed point theorem for mappings with condition (C) on a Banach space such that its asymptotic center in a bounded closed and convex subset of each bounded sequence is nonempty and compact. This covers a result obtained by Suzuki [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095]. We also present fixed point theorems for this class of mappings defined on weakly compact convex subsets of Banach spaces satisfying property (D). Consequently, we extend the results in [T. Suzuki, Fixed point theorems and convergence theorems for some generalized nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 340 (2008) 1088-1095] to many other Banach spaces.  相似文献
