We generalize the superfield method of Dirac quantization to the odd sector of superspace for N = 2 extended models. We discuss the mechanism of generating constraints in the odd sector of supersymmetric classical mechanics and then Dirac quantization in the odd superspace in superfield version. An example of supersymmetric system, defined by odd superfields, and the application of the method in the odd superspace is given.  相似文献

Bosonization approach to the classical supersymmetric systems is presented. By introducing the multi-fermionic parameters in the expansions of the superfields, the N=1 supersymmetric KdV (sKdV) system is transformed to a system of coupled bosonic equations. The method can be applied to any fermionic systems. By solving the coupled bosonic equations, some novel types of exact solutions can be explicitly obtained. Especially, the richness of the localized excitations of the supersymmetric integrable system is discovered. The rich multi-soliton solutions obtained here have not yet been obtained by using other methods. However, the traditional known multi-soliton solutions can also not be obtained by the bosonization approach of this Letter. Some open problems on the bosonization of the supersymmetric integrable models are proposed in the both classical and quantum levels.  相似文献

We present a modified formulation of minimal N = 1 linearized supergravity coupled to generic N = 1 supersymmetric matter. The formalism is based on the superprojectors, superspin-transition operators, vector and scalar superfield. Such approach has some advantages for finding superpropagators. We study a series of N = 1 supersymmetric integrable particle theories in d = 1 + 1 dimensions. These theories are represented as integrable perturbations of specific N = 1 superconformal field theories. Starting from the conjectured S-matrices for these theories, we develop the Thermodynamic Bethe Ansatz (TBA), where we use that the 2-particle S-matrices satisfy a free fermion condition. Our analysis proves a conjecture by E. Melzer, who proposed that these N = 1 supersymmetric. TBA systems are “folded” versions of N = 2 supersymmetric TBA systems that were first studied by P. Fendley and K. Intriligator.  相似文献

The recently proposed supersymmetric extensions of reduced Kadomtsev-Petviashvili (KP) integrable hierarchies in N = 1, 2 superspace are shown to contain in the purely bosonic limit new types of ordinary non-supersymmetric integrable systems. The latter are coupled systems of several multi-component non-linear Schr?dinger-like hierarchies whose basic nonlinear evolution equations contain additional quintic and higher-derivative nonlinear terms. Also, we obtain the N = 2 supersymmetric extension of Toda chain model as Darboux-B?cklund orbit of the simplest reduced N = 2 super-KP hierarchy and find its explicit solution. Renormalizable supersymmetric models of matter multiplets coupled to a Yang Mills multiplet are studied in the conventional N = 2 superspace. It is found that a consistent formulation of the Feynman rules in superspace requires the introduction of a compensator superfield in the matter sector. If the quantization is performed within the background superfield approach, the use of the compensator is confined to the quantum corrections. The ensuing ghost structure is analyzed and the non-renormalization beyond one-loop is demonstrated. We report an N = 2 superfield calculation of the one-loop β-function via the supercurrent anomaly and thereby derive as a byproduct the finiteness criterion for N = 2 non-Abelian gauge theories.  相似文献

The component models of N = 2 and N = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories of Sohnius, Stelle and West are reformulated in terms of N = 1 superfields. The non-supersymmetric constraints are supersymmetrized generalizing the linear multiplet in the presence of the non-abelian gauge superfield and (in the N = 4 case) a doublet of chiral superfields. The extended supersymmetry transformations preserving constraints are explicitly given in terms of N = 1 superfields. We are able to introduce the constraints back into the lagrangian using superfield Lagrange multipliers. The on-shell equivalence of this formulation with the formulation of Fayet with one (for N = 2) and three (for N = 4) chiral superfields is shown. The abelian N = 2 model is worked out to show the connection between full superspace treatment and the N = 1 superfield formulation.  相似文献

Superprojectors     
We present a simple algorithm for constructing the N-extended superfield projection operators for irreducible representations of supersymmetry, and explicitly perform all simplifications due to spinor derivative algebra. The method is based on covariant expansion of a general superfield in terms of chiral superfields, and requires no knowledge of Casimir operators. We list these superprojectors for various N = 1, 2, and 4 superfields, and apply our results to quantized the linearized N = 2 vector multiplet in a supersymmetric gauge.  相似文献

The field equations of supersymmetric Yang–Mills theory in ten dimensions may be formulated as vanishing curvature conditions on light-like rays in superspace. In this article, we investigate the physical content of the modified SO(7) covariant superspace constraints put forward earlier [11]. To this end, group-algebraic methods are developed which allow to derive the set of physical fields and their equations of motion from the superfield expansion of the supercurl, systematically. A set of integrable superspace constraints is identified which drastically reduces the field content of the unconstrained superfield but leaves the spectrum including the original Yang–Mills vector field completely off-shell. A weaker set of constraints gives rise to additional fields obeying first order differential equations. Geometrically, the SO(7) covariant superspace constraints descend from a truncation of Witten's original linear system to particular one-parameter families of light-like rays. The off-shell Batalin-Vilkovysky (BV) realization has been constructed for N = 1, d = 10 super-Yang-Mills theory with seven auxiliary fields. This becomes possible due to the materialized ghost phenomenon. Namely, supersymmetry ghosts are coordinates on a manifold B of ten-dimensional spinors with the pure spinors cut out. Auxiliary fields are sections of a bundle over B, and supersymmetry transformations are nonlinear in ghosts. By integrating out the auxiliary fields, we obtain an on-shell supersymmetric BV action with quadratic terms in the antifields. Exactly this on-shell BV action was obtained in our previous paper after integration out of auxiliary fields in the framework of a pure spinor superfield formalism. An infinite series of Grassmann-odd and Grassmann-even flow equations is defined for a class of supersymmetric integrable hierarchies associated with loop superalgebras. All these flows commute with the mutually commuting bosonic ones originally considered to define these hierarchies and, hence, provide extra fermionic and bosonic symmetries that include the built-in N=1 supersymmetry transformation. The corresponding non-local conserved quantities are also constructed. We present new supersymmetric integrable extensions of the a = 4, N = 2 KdV hierarchy. The root of the supersymmetric Lax operator of the KdV equation is generalized, by including additional fields. This generalized root generates a new hierarchy of integrable equations, for which we investigate the Hamiltonian structure. The Heisenberg supermagnet model which is the supersymmetric generalization of the Heisenberg ferromagnet model is an important integrable system. We consider the deformations of Heisenberg supermagnet model under the two constraint 1. S2 = S for SUSPL(2/1)/S(L(1/1) × U(1)) and 2. S2 = 3S ? 2I SUSPL(2/1)/S(U(2) × U(1)). By means of the gauge transformation, we construct the gauge equivalent counterparts, i.e., the super generalized Hirota equation and Gramman odd nonlinear Schrödinger equation.  相似文献

Using the N=4 superspace approach in one dimension (time), we construct general N=8 supersymmetric mechanics actions for the multiplets (b,8,8b) classified in hep-th/0406015, with the main focus on the previously unexplored cases of (8,8,0), (7,8,1) and (6,8,2), as well as on (5,8,3) for completeness. N=8 supersymmetry of the action amounts to a harmonicity condition for the Lagrangian with respect to its superfield arguments. We derive the generic off-shell component action for the “root” multiplet (8,8,0), prove that the actions for all other multiplets follow from it through automorphic dualities and argue that this hierarchical structure is universal. The bosonic target geometry in all cases is conformally flat, with a unique scalar potential (except for the root multiplet). We show that the N=4 superfield constraints respect the full R-symmetry and find the explicit realization of its quotient over the manifest R-symmetry on superfields and component fields. Several R-symmetric N=4 superfield Lagrangians with N=8 supersymmetry are either newly found or reproduced by a simple universal method.  相似文献

We consider N=1 supersymmetric sine-Gordon theory (SSG) with supersymmetric integrable boundary conditions (boundary SSG=BSSG). We find two possible ways to close the boundary bootstrap for this model, corresponding to two different choices for the boundary supercharge. We study a simple nonlinear model de?ned on the honeycomb and triangular lattices. We propose a bilin-earization scheme for the ?eld equations and demonstrate that the resulting system is closely related to the well-studied integrable models, such as the Hirota bilinear difference equation and the Ablowitz-Ladik system. This result is used to derive the two sets of explicit solutions: the N-soliton solutions and ones constructed of the Toeplitz determinants.  相似文献
