The effect of shear on the ordering kinetics of a conserved order-parameter system with O(n) symmetry and order-parameter-dependent mobility Gamma(straight phi-->) approximately (1-straight phi-->(2)/n)(alpha) is studied analytically within the large-n limit. In the late stage, the structure factor becomes anisotropic and exhibits multiscaling behavior with characteristic length scales (t(2alpha+5)/ln t)(1/2(alpha+2)) in the flow direction and (t/ln t)(1/2(alpha+2)) in directions perpendicular to the flow. As in the alpha=0 case, the structure factor in the shear-flow plane has two parallel ridges. 相似文献

We present a measurement of the time-dependent CP asymmetry for the neutral B-meson decay B0-->phiK0. We use a sample of approximately 114 x 10(6) B-meson pairs taken at the Upsilon(4S) resonance with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II B-meson factory at SLAC. We reconstruct the CP eigenstates phiK0S and phiK0L, where phi-->K+K-, K0S-->pi+pi-, and K0L is observed via its hadronic interactions. The other B meson in the event is tagged as either a B0 or Bbar0 from its decay products. The values of the CP-violation parameters are SphiK=0.47+/-0.34(stat)+0.08-0.06(syst) and CphiK=0.01+/-0.33(stat)+/-0.10(syst). 相似文献

We present a new measurement of CP-violation parameters in B(0)-->K(0)(S)pi(0)gamma decay based on a sample of 275 x 10(6) BB pairs collected at the Gamma(4S) resonance with the Belle detector at the KEKB energy-asymmetric e(+)e(-) collider. One of the B mesons is fully reconstructed in the B(0)-->K(0)(S)pi(0)gamma decay. The flavor of the accompanying B meson is identified from its decay products. CP-violation parameters are obtained from the asymmetry in the distribution of the proper time intervals between the two B decays. We obtain SK(0)(S)(pi(0)gamma) = -0.58(+0.46)(-0.38)(stat) +/- 0.11(syst) and AK(0)(S)(pi(0)gamma) = +0.03 +/- 0.34(stat) +/- 0.11(syst), for the K(0)(S)pi(0) invariant mass covering the full range up to 1.8 GeV/c2. We also measure the CP-violation parameters for the case B(0)-->K(*0)(-->K(0)(S)pi(0))gamma and obtain S(K(*0)gamma) = -0.79(+0.63)(-0.50)(stat) +/- 0.10(syst) for A(K(*0)gamma) fixed at 0. 相似文献

A model for thermally activated dynamics in disordered systems shows that the linear and nonlinear susceptibility follows a generic exponential form with a "critical rounding," chi(1) proportional to chi(3) proportional to [T ln(t/tau(0)')/K](gamma/b phi) exp - [Tt(g)(phi b)ln(t/tau(0)'/K)](nu/b) (T=temperature, t=time, K=barrier constant, t(g) = 1 - T(SG)/T, and T(SG) = transition temperature; gamma>0 for chi(3) and <0 for chi(1)). This model, also valid in the presence of resonant tunneling states at energies K(0) < K [provided that K is replaced by K(0)+2T ln (1/Gamma(0)), where Gamma(0)(2) proportional, variant tunnel splitting of a spin S=1], is potentially applicable to a wide variety of systems opening the way for the study of thermally activated quantum phase transitions. The famous spin-glass system LiHo(x)Y(1-x) seems to follow this model. 相似文献

We use K(L)'s in the 100-200 GeV energy range to produce 147 candidate events of the axial vector pair K1(1270)-K1(1400) in the nuclear Coulomb field of a Pb target and determine the radiative widths Gamma(K1(1400)-->K0+gamma)=280.8+/-23.2(stat)+/-40.4(syst) keV and Gamma(K1(1270)-->K0+gamma)=73.2+/-6.1(stat)+/-28.3(syst) keV. These first measurements appear to be lower than the quark-model predictions. We also place upper limits on the radiative widths for K(*)(1410) and K(*)(2)(1430) and find that the latter is vanishingly small in accord with SU(3) invariance in the naive quark model. 相似文献

Combining the ratio of experimental kaon and pion decay widths, Gamma(K-->munu (mu)(gamma))/Gamma(pi-->munu (mu)(gamma)), with a recent lattice gauge theory calculation of f(K)/f(pi) provides a precise value for the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix element |V(us)|=0.2219(25) or if three generation unitarity is assumed |V(us)|=0.222 1(24). Comparison with other determinations of that fundamental parameter, implications, and an outlook for future improvements are given. 相似文献

We have performed the first direct measurement of the time-integrated flavor untagged charge asymmetry in semileptonic Bs0 decays ASLs,unt by comparing the decay rate of Bs0-->micro+Ds-nuX, where Ds- -->phipi- and phi-->K+K-, with the charge-conjugate Bs0 decay rate. This sample was selected from 1.3 fb-1 of data collected by the D0 experiment in run II of the Fermilab Tevatron collider. We obtain ASLs,unt=[1.23+/-0.97(stat)+/-0.17(syst)]x10(-2). Assuming that Deltam(s)/Gamma(s)>1, this result can be translated into a measurement of the CP-violating phase in Bs0 mixing: DeltaGamma(s)/Deltam(s)tanphi(s)=[2.45+/-1.93(stat)+/-0.35(syst)]x10(-2). 相似文献

The E799-II (KTeV) experiment at Fermilab has collected 83 262 K(L)-->e+ e- gamma(gamma) events above a background of 79 events. We measure a decay width, normalized to the K(L)-->pi0pi0pi(D)0 (pi0-->gammagamma, pi0-->gammagamma, pi(D0-->e+ e- gamma(gamma)) decay width, of Gamma(K(L)-->e+e-gamma(gamma))/Gamma(K(L)-->pi0pi0pi(D)0)=(1.3302+/-0.0046(stat)+/-0.0102(syst)) x 10(-3). We also measure parameters of two K(L)gamma*gamma form factor models. In the Bergstr?m-Massó-Singer parametrization, we find Calpha(K*)= -0.517 +/- 0.030(stat) +/- 0.022(syst). We present a study of the decay B0(s) --> J/psiphi. We obtain the CP-odd fraction in the final state at time zero, Rperpendicular = 0.16 +/- 0.10(stat) +/- 0.02 (syst), the average lifetime of the (B0(s), B0(s)) system, tau(B0(s)) = 1.39(+0.13)(-0.16)(stat)(+0.01)(-0.02)(syst) ps, and the relative width difference between the heavy and light mass eigenstates, DeltaGamma/Gamma tripple bond (GammaL - GammaH)/Gamma = 0.24(+0.28)(-0.38)(stat)(+0.03)(-0.04)(syst). With the additional constraint from the world average of the lifetime measurements using semileptonic decays, we find tau(B0(s)) = 1.39 +/- 0.06 ps and DeltaGamma/Gamma = 0.25(+0.14)(-0.15). For the ratio of the B0(s) and B0 lifetimes we obtain tau(B0(s))/tau(B0) = 0.91 +/- 0.09(stat) +/- 0.003(syst). 相似文献

A search of the exclusive radiative decays B-->rho(770)gamma and B0-->omega(782)gamma is performed on a sample of about 84x10(6) BBmacr; events collected by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric-energy e+e- storage ring. No significant signal is seen in any of the channels. We set upper limits on the branching fractions B of B(B0-->rho(0)gamma)<1.2 x 10(-6), B(B+-->rho+gamma)<2.1 x 10(-6), and B(B0-->omegagamma)<1.0 x 10(-6) at 90% confidence level (C.L.). Using the assumption that Gamma(B-->rhogamma)=Gamma(B+-->rho(+)gamma)=2 x Gamma(B0-->rho(0)gamma), we find the combined limit B(B-->rhogamma)<1.9 x 10(-6), corresponding to B(B-->rhogamma)/B(B-->K*gamma)<0.047 at 90% C.L. 相似文献

The process e(+)e(-)-->mu(+)mu(-) has been studied by the SND detector at the VEPP-2M e(+)e(-) collider in the phi(1020)-resonance energy region. The measured effective phi meson leptonic branching ratio B(phi-->l(+)l(-)) identical with square root of B(phi-->e(+)e(-))B(phi-->mu(+)mu(-))] = (2.89 +/- 0.10 +/- 0.06) x 10(-4) agrees well with the Particle Data Group value B(phi-->e(+)e(-)) = (2.91 +/- 0.07) x 10(-4), confirming mu-e universality. Without additional assumption of mu-e universality the branching ratio B(phi-->mu(+)mu(-)) = (2.87 +/- 0.20 +/- 0.14) x 10(-4) was obtained. 相似文献

We have measured the spin structure functions g(1) and g(2) of 3He in a double-spin experiment by inclusively scattering polarized electrons at energies ranging from 0.862 to 5.058 GeV off a polarized 3He target at a 15.5 degrees scattering angle. Excitation energies covered the resonance and the onset of the deep inelastic regions. We have determined for the first time the Q2 evolution of Gamma(1)(Q2)= integral (1)(0)g(1)(x,Q2)dx, Gamma(2)(Q2)= integral (1)(0)g(2)(x,Q2)dx, and d(2)(Q2)= integral (1)(0)x(2)[2g(1)(x,Q2)+3g(2)(x,Q2)]dx for the neutron in the range 0.1< or =Q2< or =0.9 GeV2 with good precision. Gamma(1)(Q2) displays a smooth variation from high to low Q2. The Burkhardt-Cottingham sum rule holds within uncertainties and d(2) is nonzero over the measured range. 相似文献

We study the distributions of the resonance widths P(gamma) and of delay times P(tau) in one-dimensional quasiperiodic tight-binding systems at critical conditions with one open channel. Both quantities are found to decay algebraically as gamma(-alpha) and tau(-gamma) on small and large scales, respectively. The exponents alpha and gamma are related to the fractal dimension D(E)(0) of the spectrum of the closed system as alpha = 1+D(E)(0) and gamma = 2-D(E)(0). Our results are verified for the Harper model at the metal-insulator transition and for Fibonacci lattices. 相似文献

The decays of J/psi --> etaphif(0)(980)[eta --> gammagamma, phi --> K(+) K(-), f(0)(980) --> pi(+)pi(-)] are analyzed using a sample of 5.8 x 10(7) J/psi events collected with the BESII detector at the Beijing Electron-Positron Collider. A structure at around 2.18 GeV/c(2) with about 5 sigma significance is observed in the phif(0)(980) invariant mass spectrum. A fit with a Breit-Wigner function gives the peak mass and width of m = 2.186+/-0.010(stat)+/-0.006(syst) GeV/c(2) and Gamma = 0.065+/-0.023(stat)+/-0.017(syst) GeV/c(2), respectively, which are consistent with those of Y(2175), observed by the BABAR Collaboration in the initial-state radiation process e(+)e(-) --> gamma(ISR) phif(0)(980). The production branching ratio is determined to be Br(J/psi --> etaY(2175))Br(Y(2175)- -> phif(0)(980))Br(f(0)(980) --> pi(+)pi(-)) = [3.23+/-0.75(stat)+/-0.73(syst)] x 10(-4), assuming that the Y(2175) is a 1(--) state. 相似文献

By combining a one-meson-exchange model for the LambdaN-->nN transition in finite nuclei with an intranuclear cascade code, we have obtained nucleon-nucleon (angular and energy) coincidence distributions from the nonmesonic weak decay of (5)(Lambda)He and (12)(Lambda)C hypernuclei. Although, due to the elimination of interferences, two-nucleon coincidences are expected to give a cleaner extraction (with respect to single nucleon observables) of the ratio Gamma(n)/Gamma(p) identical with Gamma(Lambdan-->nn)/Gamma(Lambdap-->np), we show that the effect of the final state interactions is still important even when applying favorable energy and angular cuts. The agreement of our results for the ratio N(nn)/N(np) between the number of nn and np emitted pairs with preliminary KEK coincidence data allows us to conclude that Gamma(n)/Gamma(p) for (5)(Lambda)He should be small and close to the value of 0.46 predicted by our meson-exchange model. 相似文献

We describe a new method for extracting weak, CP-violating &Dmacr;phase information, with no hadronic uncertainties, from an angular analysis of B-->V1V2 decays, where V1 and V2 are vector mesons. The quantity sin (2)(2beta+gamma) can be cleanly obtained from the study of decays such as B(0)(d)(t)-->D*+/-rho(-/+), D(*+/-)a(-/+)(1), D(;) *0K(;) (*0), etc. Similarly, one can use B(0)(s)(t)-->D(*+/-)(s)K*-/+ to extract sin (2)gamma. There are no penguin contributions to these decays. It is possible that sin (2)(2beta+gamma) will be the second function of CP phases, after sin2beta, to be measured at B factories. 相似文献

We present a measurement of relative partial widths and decay rate CP asymmetries in K-K+ and pi(-)pi(+) decays of D0 mesons produced in pp collisions at sqrt[s]=1.96 TeV. We use a sample of 2x10(5) D(*+)-->D0pi(+) (and charge conjugate) decays with the D0 decaying to K-pi(+), K-K+, and pi(-)pi(+), corresponding to 123 pb(-1) of data collected by the Collider Detector at Fermilab II experiment at the Fermilab Tevatron collider. Using the CLEO detector at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring we have observed the Omega(0)(c) (css ground state) in the decay Omega(0)(c)-->Omega(-)e(+)nu(e). We find a signal of 11.4+/-3.8(stat) events. The probability that we have observed a background fluctuation is 7.6x10(-5). We measure B(Omega(0)(c)-->Omega(-)e(+)nu(e)).sigma(e(+)e(-)-->Omega(0)(c)X)=(42.2+/-14.1(stat)+/-5.7(syst)) fb and R=[Gamma(Omega(0)(c)-->Omega(-)pi(+))]/[Gamma(Omega(0)(c)-->Omega(-)enu(e))]=00.41+/-0.19(stat)+/-0.04(syst).
