A theorem concerning a product of a general class of polynomials and theH-function of several complex variables is given. Using this theorem certain integrals and expansion formula have been obtained. This general theorem is capable of giving a number of new, interesting and useful integrals, expansion formulae as its special cases.  相似文献

The present paper is in continuation to our recent paper [6] in these proceedings. Therein, three composition formulae for a general class of fractional integral operators had been established. In this paper, we develop the Mellin transforms and their inversions, the Mellin convolutions, the associated Parseval-Goldstein theorem and the images of the multivariableH-function together with applications for these operators. In all, seven theorems and two corollaries (involving the Konhauser biorthogonal polynomials and the Jacobi polynomials) have been established in this paper. On account of the most general nature of the polynomials S n m [x] and the multivariableH-function whose product form the kernels of our operators, a large number of (new and known) interesting results involving simpler polynomials and special functions (involving one or more variables) obtained by several authors and hitherto lying scattered in the literature follow as special cases of our findings. We give here exact references to the results (in essence) of seven research papers which follow as simple special cases of our theorems.  相似文献

In the present paper, we obtain three unified fractional derivative formulae (FDF). The first involves the product of a general class of polynomials and the multivariableH-function. The second involves the product of a general class of polynomials and two multivariableH-functions and has been obtained with the help of the generalized Leibniz rule for fractional derivatives. The last FDF also involves the product of a general class of polynomials and the multivariableH-function but it is obtained by the application of the first FDF twice and it involves two independent variables instead of one. The polynomials and the functions involved in all our fractional derivative formulae as well as their arguments which are of the typex ρ Π i=1 s (x t i +α i ) σ i are quite general in nature. These formulae, besides being of very general character have been put in a compact form avoiding the occurrence of infinite series and thus making them useful in applications. Our findings provide interesting unifications and extensions of a number of (new and known) results. For the sake of illustration, we give here exact references to the results (in essence) of five research papers [2, 3,10, 12, 13] that follow as particular cases of our findings. In the end, we record a new fractional derivative formula involving the product of the Hermite polynomials, the Laguerre polynomials and the product ofr different Whittaker functions as a simple special case of our first formula.  相似文献

The complementarity problem with a nonlinear continuous mappingf from the nonnegative orthantR + n ofR n intoR n can be written as the system of equationsF(x, y) = 0 and(x, y) R + 2n , whereF denotes the mapping from the nonnegative orthantR + 2n ofR 2n intoR + n × Rn defined byF(x, y) = (x 1y1,,xnyn, f1(x) – y1,, fn(x) – yn) for every(x, y) R + 2n . Under the assumption thatf is a uniformP-function, this paper establishes that the mappingF is a homeomorphism ofR + 2n ontoR + n × Rn. This result provides a theoretical basis for a new continuation method of tracing the solution curve of the one parameter family of systems of equationsF(x, y) = tF(x 0, y0) and(x, y) R + 2n from an arbitrary initial point(x 0, y0) R + 2n witht = 1 until the parametert attains 0. This approach is an extension of the one used in the polynomially bounded algorithm recently given by Kojima, Mizuno and Yoshise for solving linear complementarity problems with positive semi-definite matrices.  相似文献

An integer sequence π is said to be graphic if it is the degree sequence of some simple graph G. In this case we say that G is a realization of π. Given a graph H, and a graphic sequence π we say that π is potentially H-graphic if there is some realization of π that contains H as a subgraph. We define σ(H,n) to be the minimum even integer such that every graphic sequence with sum at least σ(H,n) is potentially H-graphic. In this paper, we determine σ(H,n) for the graph H = Km1Km2∪...∪ Kmk when n is a sufficiently large integer. In this paper we have solved a double convolution integral equation whose kernel involves the product of theH-functions of several variables and a general class of multivariable polynomials. Due to general nature of the kernel, we can obtain from it, solutions of a large number of double and single convolution integral equations involving products of several classical orthogonal polynomials and simpler functions. We have also obtained here solutions of two double convolution integral equations as special cases of our main result. Exact reference of three known results, which are obtainable as particular cases of one of these special cases, have also been included.  相似文献

This paper contains two results. The first establishes, under mild assumptions, the validity of an Edgeworth expansion with remaindero(N –1/2) for aU-statistic with a kernel of degree two using observations from anm-dependent shift. The second result gives a necessary and sufficient condition for the distribution of a sum ofm-dependent random variables to possess an Edgeworth expansion. The paper extends the results given by M. Křížek and L. Somer, On a connection of number theory with graph theory, Czech. Math. J. 54 (129) (2004), 465–485 (see [5]). For each positive integer n define a digraph Γ(n) whose set of vertices is the set H = {0, 1, ..., n − 1} and for which there is a directed edge from aH to bH if a 3b (mod n). The properties of such digraphs are considered. The necessary and the sufficient condition for the symmetry of a digraph Γ(n) is proved. The formula for the number of fixed points of Γ(n) is established. Moreover, some connection of the length of cycles with the Carmichael λ-function is presented.   相似文献

Let G be a finite group andA be a normal subgroup ofG. We denote by ncc(A) the number ofG-conjugacy classes ofA andA is calledn-decomposable, if ncc(A)= n. SetK G = {ncc(A)|A ⊲ G}. LetX be a non-empty subset of positive integers. A groupG is calledX-decomposable, ifK G =X. Ashrafi and his co-authors [1-5] have characterized theX-decomposable non-perfect finite groups forX = {1, n} andn ≤ 10. In this paper, we continue this problem and investigate the structure ofX-decomposable non-perfect finite groups, forX = {1, 2, 3}. We prove that such a group is isomorphic to Z6, D8, Q8, S4, SmallGroup(20, 3), SmallGroup(24, 3), where SmallGroup(m, n) denotes the mth group of ordern in the small group library of GAP [11].  相似文献

The analogue of the Riemann hypothesis for the Ramanujan zeta function states that all zeros of the Ramanujan Ξ-function have real zeros only. We study the zeros of approximations of the Ramanujan Ξ-function.
