Mossbauer spectroscopy was used to probe the site-specific information of a K0.84Fe1.99Se2 superconductor. A spin excitation gap, △E≈5.5 meV, is observed by analyzing the temperature dependence of the hyperfine magnetic field (HMF) at the iron site within the spin wave theory. Using the simple model suggested in the literature, the temperature dependence of the HMF is well reproduced, suggesting that, below room temperature, the alkali metal intercalated iron selenide superconductors can be regarded as ferromagnetically coupled spin blocks that interact with each other antiferromagnetically to form the observed checkerboard-like magnetic structure.  相似文献

The thermodynamic properties of an In Sb quantum dot have been investigated in the presence of Rashba spin–orbit interaction and a static magnetic field. The energy spectrum and wave-functions for the system are obtained by solving the Schrodinger wave-equation analytically. These energy levels are employed to calculate the specific heat, entropy, magnetization and susceptibility of the quantum dot system using canonical formalism. It is observed that the system is susceptible to maximum heat absorption at a particular value of magnetic field which depends on the Rashba coupling parameter as well as the temperature. The variation of specific heat shows a Schottky-like anomaly in the low temperature limit and rapidly converges to the value of 2kB with the further increase in temperature. The entropy of the quantum dot is found to be inversely proportional to the magnetic field but has a direct variation with temperature. The substantial effect of Rashba spin–orbit interaction on the magnetic properties of quantum dot is observed at low values of magnetic field and temperature.  相似文献

The temperature-driven spin reorientation transition of magnetron sputtered Ni/Si (111) systems has been studied. The relationship between ac initial susceptibility and temperature of nickel films with different thicknesses shows that the magnetization orientation changes from in-plane to out-of-plane with the increase of temperature. The temperature dependence of mugnetoelastic, magneto-crystalline, and magnetostatic anisotropies determines the direction of the reorientation transition. The temperature-driven spin reorientation transition is supported by Hall coefficient measurements which show that its temperature dependence is similar to that of susceptibility.  相似文献

This paper reports that high quality CuGeO3 single crystals were successfully grown by floating-zone technique and the magnetic property was studied. The temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility below the spin-Peierls (SP) transition temperature (Tsp) under magnetic fields applying along both the a- and c-axis direction can be fitted well by a model of noninteracting dimmers. The spin gap derived from the fitting is consistent with other reports. There is a very weak anisotropy in the fitting parameters for different directions, which should be expected from a SP system. A small upturn in susceptibility at low temperature due to paramagnetic impurities and/or defects can be observed. A suppression of the upturn by magnetic field is first discovered in this system and the possible origins for this suppression are discussed.  相似文献

Multiferroic properties in a polycrystalline terbium orthoferrite are investigated. Different thermomagnetic behaviors are observed in different magnetic fields, which is attributed to the suppression of the low temperature magnetic phase by an external magnetic field. Further studies reveal that the ferroelectricity originates from the spin configuration below3.5 K. In addition, the magnetic field control of electric polarization and dielectric constant is observed, which suggests a magnetoelectric effect in TbFeO3. The origin of ferroelectricity in this rare-earth orthoferrite is discussed.  相似文献

Single phase of Fe3+-doped α-Ga2-xFexO3(α-GF x O, x = 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) is synthesized by treating the β-Ga2-x Fe x O3(β-GF x O) precursors at high temperatures and high pressures. Rietveld refinements of the X-ray diffraction data show that the lattice constants increase monotonically with the increase of Fe3+content. Calorimetric measurements show that the temperature of the phase transition from α-GF x O to β-GF x O increases, while the associated enthalpy change decreases upon increasing Fe3+content. The optical energy gap deduced from the reflectance measurement is found to decrease monotonically with the increase in Fe3+content. From the measurements of magnetic field-dependent magnetization and temperature-dependent inverse molar susceptibility, we find that the superexchange interaction between Fe3+ions is antiferromagnetic. Remnant magnetization is observed in the Fe3+-doped α-GF x O and is attributed to the spin glass in the magnetic sublattice. At high Fe3+doping level(x = 0.4), two evident peaks are observed in the image part of the AC susceptibility χ ac. The frequency dependence in intensity of these two peaks as well as two spin freezing temperatures observed in the DC magnetization measurements of α-GF0.4O is suggested to be the behavior of two spin glasses.  相似文献

Microstructures and magnetic properties of Ta/Pt/Co 2 FeAl(CFA)/MgO multilayers are studied to understand perpendicular magnetic anisotropy(PMA) of half-metallic full-Heusler alloy films.PMA is realized in a 2.5-nm CFA film with B2-ordered structure observed by a high resolution transmission electron microscope. It is demonstrated that a high quality interface between the ferromagnetic layer and oxide layer is not essential for PMA.The conversions between in-plane anisotropy and PMA are investigated to study the dependence of magnetic moment on temperature. At the intersection points, the decreasing slope of the saturation magnetization(M s) changes because of the conversions. The dependence of M s on the annealing temperature and MgO thickness is also studied.  相似文献

We investigate the thermal entanglement in a spin-1/2 Ising–Heisenberg diamond chain, in which the vertical Heisenberg spin dimers alternate with single Ising spins. Due to the fact that the Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya(DM) interaction contributes to unusual and interesting magnetic properties in actual materials, and moreover it plays a significant role in the degree of the entanglement of the Heisenberg quantum spin systems, we focus on the effects of different DM interactions, including D z and Dx, on the thermal entanglement of the Heisenberg spin dimer. The concurrence, as a measure of spin dimer entanglement, is calculated for different values of exchange interactions, DM interaction, external magnetic field, and temperature. It is found that the critical temperature and the critical magnetic field corresponding to the vanishing of entanglement increase with DM interaction, and the entanglement revival region gets larger by increasing DM interaction, thus DM interaction favors the formation of the thermal entanglement. It is observed that different DM interaction parameters(Dz and Dx) have remarkably different influences on the entanglement. Different from the case Dz, there is the non-monotonic variation of the concurrence with temperature in the case Dx, and additionally the DM interaction Dx can induce the entanglement near zero temperature in the case that the antiferromagnetic Ising-type interaction constant is larger than the antiferromagnetic Heisenberg interaction constant. It is also shown that for the same value of DM interaction the critical magnetic field of the case Dx is larger than that of the case Dz.  相似文献

High quality single crystal CrAs was grown by Sn flux method. The results of magnetic susceptibility and electrical resistivity are reported in a temperature range of 2 to 800 K.At low temperatures,a T2 dependence of resistivity is observed showing a Fermi-liquid behavior. The Kadowaki-Woods ratio is found to be 1×10-5 μΩ cm mol2 K2 mJ-2,which fits well to the universal value for many correlated electron systems. At about 270 K,a clear magnetic transition is observed with sharp changes of resistivity and susceptibility.Above 270 K,a linear-temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility is observed up to 700 K,which resembles the T-dependent magnetic susceptibility of parents of iron-pnictides superconductors.  相似文献

The magnetic effect and the magnetocaloric effect in La_2NiMnO_6(LNMO) double perovskite are studied using the Monte Carlo simulations. The magnetizations, specific heat values, and magnetic entropies are obtained for different exchange interactions and external magnetic fields. The adiabatic temperature is obtained. The transition temperature is deduced. The relative cooling power is established with a fixed value of exchange interaction.According to the master curve behaviors for the temperature dependence of △S_m~(max) predicted for different maximum fields,in this work it is confirmed that the paramagnetic-ferromagnetic phase transition observed for our sample is of a second order. The near room-temperature interaction and the superexchange interaction between Ni and Mn are shown to be due to the ferromagnetism of LNMO.  相似文献

We report a comprehensive neutron scattering study on the spin excitations in the magnetic Weyl semimetal Co3Sn2S2 with a quasi-two-dimensional structure. Both in-plane and out-of-plane dispersions of the spin waves were revealed in the ferromagnetic state.Similarly, dispersive but damped spin excitations were found in the paramagnetic state. The effective exchange interactions were estimated using a semi-classical Heisenberg model to consistently reproduce the experimental TCand spin stiffness. However,a full spin wave gap below Eg=2.3 meV was observed at T=4 K.This value was considerably larger than the estimated magnetic anisotropy energy(~0.6 meV),and its temperature dependence indicated a significant contribution from the Weyl fermions. These results suggest that Co3Sn2S2 is a three-dimensional correlated system with a large spin stiffness, and the low-energy spin dynamics can interplay with the topological electron states.  相似文献

Electrical properties of stoichiometric iron sulfide (FeS) are investigated under high pressure with a designed diamond anvil cell. The process of phase transition is reflected by changing the electrical conductivity under high pressure, and the conductivity of FeS with the NiAs structure is found to be much smaller than other phases. Two new phase transitions without structural change are observed at 34.7 GPa and 61.3 GPa. The temperature dependence of the conductivity is found to be similar to that of a semiconductor when the pressure is higher than 35 GPa  相似文献

Nowadays the yttrium iron garnet(Y_3Fe_5O_(12), YIG) films are widely used in the microwave and spin wave devices due to their low damping constant and long propagation distance for spin waves. However, the performances, especially the frequency stability, are seriously affected by the relaxation of the interface magnetic moments. In this study, the effect of out-of-plane magnetization depinning on the resonance frequency shift(? fr) was investigated for 3-μm YIG films grown on Gd_3Ga_5O_(12)(GGG)(111) substrates by liquid-phase epitaxy. It is revealed that the ferromagnetic resonance(FMR) and spin wave propagation exhibit a very slow relaxation with relaxation time τ even longer than one hour under an out-of-plane external magnetic bias field. The ? fr span of 15.15–24.70 MHz is observed in out-of-plane FMR and forward volume spin waves. Moreover, the ? fr and τ depend on the magnetic field. The ? fr can be attributed to that the magnetic moments break away from the pinning layer at the YIG/GGG interface. The thickness of the pinning layer is estimated to be about9.48 nm to 15.46 nm according to the frequency shifting. These results indicate that ? fr caused by the pinning layer should be addressed in the design of microwave and spin wave devices, especially in the transverse magnetic components.  相似文献

The magnetization-direction-dependent inverse spin Hall effect(ISHE) has been observed in NiFe film during spin Seebeck measurement in IrMn/NiFe/Cu/yttrium iron garnet(YIG) multilayer structure, where the YIG and NiFe layers act as the spin injector and spin current detector, respectively. By using the NiFe/IrMn exchange bias structure, the magnetization direction of YIG(MYIG) can be rotated with respect to that of NiFe(MNiFe) with a small magnetic field, thus allowing us to observe the magnetization-direction-dependent inverse spin Hall effect voltage in NiFe layer. Compared with the situation that polarization direction of spin current(σs) is perpendicular to MNiFe, the spin Seebeck voltage is about 30% larger than that when σs and MNiFe are parallel to each other. This phenomenon may originate from either or both of stronger interface or bulk scattering to spin current when σs and MNiFe are perpendicular to each other. Our work provides a way to control the voltage induced by ISHE in ferromagnets.  相似文献

An iron film percolation system is fabricated by vapour-phase deposition on fracture surfaces of α-Al2O3 ceramics. The zero-field-cooled (ZFC) and field-cooled (FC) magnetization measurement reveals that the magnetic phase of the film samples evolve from a high-temperature ferromagnetic state to a low-temperature spin-glass-like state, which is also demonstrated by the temperature-dependent ac susceptibility of the iron films. The temperature dependence of the exchange bias field He of the iron film exhibits a minimum peak around the temperature T=5 K, which is independent of the magnitude of the cooling field Hcf. However, for T 〉 10K, (1) He is always negative when Hcf=2kOe and (2) for Hcf= 20 kOe (1Oe≈80 A/m), He changes from negative to positive values as T increases. Our experimental results show that the anomalous hysteresis properties mainly result from the oxide surfaces of the films with spin-glass-like phase.  相似文献

We report a preferential growth of boron carbide nanowires with a five-fold twinned internal structure. The nanowires are found to grow catalytically via iron boron nanoparticles, but unusually the catalytic particle is in contact with the low-energy surfaces of boron carbide with V-shaped contact lines. We propose that this catalytical growth may be caused by preferential nucleation at the re-entrant grooves due to the twinning planes, followed by rapid spreading of atomic steps. This is consistent with the observed temperature dependence of the five-fold twinned nanowire growth.  相似文献

Based on the ultrasonic measurements of an isotropic NdFeB magnet in the temperature range of 77 - 300 K, it was found that the elastic parameters, such as Young's modulus E, and Poisson ratio v, change abruptly near the spin reorientation temperature Tsr. This indicates that soft mode emerges in the process of spin reorientation. Thermal hysteresis was observed during heating-up and cooling-down processes. Both Debye temperature and heat capacity were calculated, which suggests that the magnetic entropy of the Nd-sublattice is larger in easy-cone state than in easy-axis state.  相似文献

The magnetic property in a material is induced by the unpaired electrons. This can occur due to defect states which can enhance the magnetic moment and the spin polarization. In this report, CdS and CdTe thin films are grown on FTO glass substrates by chemical bath deposition and close-spaced sublimation, respectively. The magnetic properties, which are introduced from oxygen states, are found in CdS and CdTe thin films. From the hysteresis loop of magnetic moment it is revealed that CdS and CdTe thin films have different kinds of magnetic moments at different temperatures. The M–H curves indicate that from 100 K to 350 K, CdS and CdTe thin films show paramagnetism and diamagnetism, respectively.A superparamagnetic or a weakly ferromagnetic response is found at 5 K. It is also observed from ZFC/FC curves that magnetic moments decrease with temperature increasing. Spin polarized density functional calculation for spin magnetic moment is also carried out.  相似文献

We study the quantum discord in a two-spin-1/2 XXZ model in thermal equilibrium at temperature T in the presence of an external magnetic field B. Special attention is paid to the dependence of quantum discord on the temperature T and magnetic field B. It is found that quantum thermal discord is more robust than concurrence against temperature, in the sense that quantum thermal discord does not vanish at finite temperatures, but concurrence vanishes completely at a critical temperature.  相似文献
