Inspired by recent activities on Whittaker modules over various (Lie) algebras, we describe a general framework for the study of Lie algebra modules locally finite over a subalgebra. As a special case, we obtain a very general set-up for the study of Whittaker modules, which includes, in particular, Lie algebras with triangular decomposition and simple Lie algebras of Cartan type. We describe some basic properties of Whittaker modules, including a block decomposition of the category of Whittaker modules and certain properties of simple Whittaker modules under some rather mild assumptions. We establish a connection between our general set-up and the general set-up of Harish-Chandra subalgebras in the sense of Drozd, Futorny and Ovsienko. For Lie algebras with triangular decomposition, we construct a family of simple Whittaker modules (roughly depending on the choice of a pair of weights in the dual of the Cartan subalgebra), describe their annihilators, and formulate several classification conjectures. In particular, we construct some new simple Whittaker modules for the Virasoro algebra. Finally, we construct a series of simple Whittaker modules for the Lie algebra of derivations of the polynomial algebra, and consider several finite-dimensional examples, where we study the category of Whittaker modules over solvable Lie algebras and their relation to Koszul algebras. 相似文献

First we prove that in characteristicp>0 a module with good filtration for a group of type E6 restricts to a module with good filtration for a group of type F4. Thus we confirm a conjecture of Brundan for one more case. Our method relies on the canonical Frobenius splittings of Mathieu. Next we settle the remaining cases, with a computer-aided variation on the old method of Donkin. 相似文献

We show that if A – B is an absolutely flat homomorphism of consultative rings and A is arithmetical, then B is such, thus generalising a previous result (see [9]) on valutation rings. To prove the above theorem we show first that it is true when A is a local ring and B is a local ind-étale homomorphism (in par ticular if B is a strict henselization of A ) , and we apply the following general fact:a local property which ascends to strict henselization and descends by faithful flatness ascends also by ab solutely flat homomorphlsms. This last result also applies to other properties, such as locally noetherian, geometrically unibranche, Rn,Sn, Cohen-Macaulay. 相似文献

In this article, we give some practical criteria to determine the reducibility of generalized Verma modules (induced from finite-dimensional modules) in the Hermitian symmetric case. Our criteria are given by the information of the corresponding highest weights of the finite-dimensional modules and relatively easy to verify. This article is inspired by earlier work of Kubo about Jantzen's criterion. 相似文献

We initiate a new line of investigation on branching problems for generalized Verma modules with respect to reductive symmetric pairs $ \left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}'} \right) $ . In general, Verma modules may not contain any simple module when restricted to a reductive subalgebra. In this article we give a necessary and sufficient condition on the triple $ \left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}',\mathfrak{p}} \right) $ such that the restriction $ {\left. X \right|_{\mathfrak{g}'}} $ always contains simple $ \mathfrak{g}' $ -modules for any $ \mathfrak{g} $ -module X lying in the parabolic BGG category $ {\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}} $ attached to a parabolic subalgebra $ \mathfrak{p} $ of $ \mathfrak{g} $ . Formulas are derived for the Gelfand?CKirillov dimension of any simple module occurring in a simple generalized Verma module. We then prove that the restriction $ {\left. X \right|_{\mathfrak{g}'}} $ is generically multiplicity-free for any $ \mathfrak{p} $ and any $ X \in {\mathcal{O}^\mathfrak{p}} $ if and only if $ \left( {\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{g}'} \right) $ is isomorphic to (A n , A n-1), (B n , D n ), or (D n+1, B n ). Explicit branching laws are also presented. 相似文献

The study of pairs of modules (over a Dedekind domain) arises from two different perspectives, as a starting step in the analysis
of tuples of submodules of a given module, or also as a particular case in the analysis of Abelian structures made by two
modules and a morphism between them. We discuss how these two perspectives converge to pairs of modules, and we follow the
latter one to obtain an alternative approach to the classification of pairs of torsionfree objects. Then we restrict our attention
to pairs of free modules. Our main results are that the theory of pairs of free Abelian groups is co-recursively enumerable,
and that a few remarkable extensions of this theory are decidable.

We apply the theory of cotorsion pairs to study closure properties of classes of modules with finite projective dimension
with respect to direct limit operations and to filtrations.
We also prove that if the ring is an order in an ℵ0-noetherian ring Q of little finitistic dimension 0, then the cotorsion pair generated by the modules of projective dimension at most one is
of finite type if and only if Q has big finitistic dimension 0. This applies, for example, to semiprime Goldie rings and to Cohen Macaulay noetherian commutative
rings. 相似文献

We generalise the familiar notions of invariant basis number, rank condition, stable finiteness and strong rank condition from rings to modules. We study the inter relationship between these properties, identify various classes of modules possessing these properties and investigate the effect of many standard module theoretic operations on each one of these properties. We also tackle the important problem of preservation or non-preservation of these properties when we pass respectively to the module of polynomials, power series or inverse polynomials. 相似文献

We study the following question: when is the right adjoint of the forgetful functor from the category of -Doi-Hopf modules to the category of -modules also a left adjoint? We can give some necessary and sufficient conditions; one of the equivalent conditions is that and the smash product are isomorphic as -bimodules. The isomorphism can be described using a generalized type of integral. Our results may be applied to some specific cases. In particular, we study the case , and this leads to the notion of -Frobenius -module coalgebra. In the special case of Yetter-Drinfel'd modules over a field, the right adjoint is also a left adjoint of the forgetful functor if and only if is finite dimensional and unimodular.

Entwined modules arose from the coalgebra-Galois theory. They are a generalisation of unified Doi-Hopf modules. In this paper, Frobenius properties and Maschke-type theorems known for Doi-Hopf modules are extended to the case of entwined modules.

Day's characterization of those spaces 1p(Xi) which are uniformly convex, in terms of the moduli of convexity of the Xi, is generalized for arbitrary integral modules on measure spaces (K,m) and simplified when m is finite. For this latter purpose a lemma on the moduli of convexity and of smoothness is proved which incidentally gives a further necessary condition for the existence of integral modules in given direct integrals. Further the notions of strict convexity and smoothness of an integral module are related to those of its components. 相似文献

Summary We give a new simple proof of Šemrl’s recent representation theorem for quasi-quadratic functions acting on unital modules
and then show that our approach also gives a certain extension of Šemrl’s result.
This paper is intended to point out the usefulness of the ternary point of view even when we are dealing with problems which
involve only binary structure.

Let F denote a field and let V denote a vector space over F with finite positive dimension. We consider an ordered pair of F-linear transformations A:V→V and A∗:V→V that satisfy the following conditions: (i) each of A,A∗ is diagonalizable on V; (ii) there exists an ordering of the eigenspaces of A such that A∗Vi⊆V0+V1+?+Vi+1 for 0?i?d, where V-1:=0 and Vd+1:=0; (iii) there exists an ordering of the eigenspaces of A∗ such that for 0?i?δ, where and . We call such a pair a Hessenberg pair on V. It is known that if the Hessenberg pair A,A∗ on V is irreducible then d=δ and for 0?i?d the dimensions of Vi and coincide. We say a Hessenberg pair A,A∗ on V is sharp whenever it is irreducible and .In this paper, we give the definitions of a Hessenberg system and a sharp Hessenberg system. We discuss the connection between a Hessenberg pair and a Hessenberg system. We also define a finite sequence of scalars called the parameter array for a sharp Hessenberg system, which consists of the eigenvalue sequence, the dual eigenvalue sequence and the split sequence. We calculate the split sequence of a sharp Hessenberg system. We show that a sharp Hessenberg pair is a tridiagonal pair if and only if there exists a nonzero nondegenerate bilinear form on V that satisfies 〈Au,v〉=〈u,Av〉 and 〈A∗u,v〉=〈u,A∗v〉 for all u,v∈V. 相似文献

If and are two sequences such that a1=b1 and , then we say that (an,bn) is a Newton-Euler pair. In the paper, we establish many formulas for Newton-Euler pairs, and then make use of them to obtain new results concerning some special sequences such as and Bn, where p(n) is the number of partitions of n, σ(n) is the sum of divisors of n, and Bn is the nth Bernoulli number. 相似文献

Optimal Guidance for Quasi-planar Lunar Ascent 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
David G. Hull 《Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications》2011,151(2):353-372
The minimum-time controls (thrust pitch angle and thrust yaw angle) for the three-dimensional transfer of a constant-thrust
rocket from one state to another over a flat moon are used to develop guidance laws for operation over a spherical moon. The
objective is to evaluate the effect of making approximations on the size of the thrust pitch angle on the suitability of the
resulting control law as a guidance law. After assuming small out-of-plane motion (small yaw angle), three pitch angle control
laws (exact, first-order, and zeroth-order) are developed. The three laws are employed in the sample and hold guidance of
a lunar ascent vehicle. All three laws satisfy the final conditions and give essentially the same pitch and yaw control histories.
Since the zeroth-order law can be obtained completely analytically (no iteration processes), it merits consideration for ascent
guidance. 相似文献
