In this paper, we consider the global existence of one-dimensional nonautonomous (inhomogeneous) Schr?dinger flow. By exploiting geometric symmetries, we prove that, given a smooth initial map, the Cauchy problem of the nonautonomous (inhomogeneous) Schr?dinger flow from S1 into a Hermitian locally symmetric space admits a unique global smooth solution, and then we address the global existence of the Cauchy problem of inhomogeneous Heisenberg spin ferromagnet system.  相似文献

We analyze polar actions on Hermitian and quaternion-Kähler symmetric spaces of compact type. For complex integrable polar actions on Hermitian symmetric spaces of compact type we prove a reduction theorem and several corollaries concerning the geometry of these actions. The results are independent of the classification of polar actions on Hermitian symmetric spaces. In the second part we prove that polar actions on Wolf spaces are quaternion-coisotropic and that isometric actions on these spaces admit an orbit of special type, analogous to the existence of a complex orbit for an isometric action on a compact homogeneous simply connected Kähler manifold.  相似文献

Higgs bundles and non-abelian Hodge theory provide holomorphic methods with which to study the moduli spaces of surface group representations in a reductive Lie group G. In this paper we survey the case in which G is the isometry group of a classical Hermitian symmetric space of non-compact type. Using Morse theory on the moduli spaces of Higgs bundles, we compute the number of connected components of the moduli space of representations with maximal Toledo invariant Members of VBAC (Vector Bundles on Algebraic Curves). In this paper we study the space of effective -cycles in with the homology class equal to an integral multiple of the homology class of Schubert variety of type . When is a proper linear subspace of a linear space in , we know that is already complicated. We will show that for a smooth Schubert variety in a Hermitian symmetric space, any irreducible subvariety with the homology class , , is again a Schubert variety of type , unless is a non-maximal linear space. In particular, any local deformation of such a smooth Schubert variety in Hermitian symmetric space is obtained by the action of the Lie group .

We prove a gap rigidity theorem for diagonal curves in maximal polyspheres of irreducible compact Hermitian symmetric spaces of tube type, which is a dual analog to a theorem obtained by Mok. Motivated by the proof we show that the Chow space of certain totally geodesic submanifolds is affine algebraic, which gives a weaker version of gap rigidity for a class of higher dimensional submanifolds.  相似文献

This paper is the first of two papers constructing a calculus of pseudodifferential operators suitable for doing analysis on -rank 1 locally symmetric spaces and Riemannian manifolds generalizing these. This generalization is the interior of a manifold with boundary, where the boundary has the structure of a tower of fibre bundles. The class of operators we consider on such a space includes those arising naturally from metrics which degenerate to various orders at the boundary, in directions given by the tower of fibrations. As well as -rank 1 locally symmetric spaces, examples include Ricci-flat metrics on the complement of a divisor in a smooth variety constructed by Tian and Yau. In this first part of the calculus construction, parametrices are found for “fully elliptic differential a-operators,” which are uniformly elliptic operators on these manifolds that satisfy an additional invertibility condition at infinity. In the second part we will consider operators that do not satisfy this condition.  相似文献

Let \(M := \Gamma\backslash G/K\) be the quotient of an irreducible Hermitian symmetric space G/K by a torsionfree cocompact lattice \(\Gamma\subset G\) . There is a natural flat principal G-bundle over the compact Kähler manifold M which is constructed from the principal Γ-bundle over M defined by the quotient map \(G/K\longrightarrow M\) . We construct the principal G-Higgs bundle over M corresponding to this flat G-bundle. This principal G-Higgs bundle is rigid if \({\rm dim}_\mathbb{C} M\,\geq\,2\) .  相似文献

We prove pointwise bounds for L 2 eigenfunctions of the Laplace-Beltrami operator on locally symmetric spaces with -rank one if the corresponding eigenvalues lie below the continuous part of the L 2 spectrum. In this paper we show that there exists a unique local smooth solution for the Cauchy problem of the Schrodinger flow for maps from a compact Riemannian manifold into a complete Kahler manifold, or from a Euclidean space Rm into a compact Kahler manifold. This paper is concerned with several variants of the Hermitian and skew‐Hermitian splitting iteration method to solve a class of complex symmetric linear systems. Theoretical analysis shows that several Hermitian and skew‐Hermitian splitting based iteration methods are unconditionally convergent. Let E be a separable (or the dual of a separable) symmetric function space, let M be a semifinite von Neumann algebra and let E(M) be the associated noncommutative function space. Let (εk)k?1 be a Rademacher sequence, on some probability space Ω. For finite sequences (xk)k?1 of E(M), we consider the Rademacher averages kεkxk as elements of the noncommutative function space and study estimates for their norms ‖kεkxkE calculated in that space. We establish general Khintchine type inequalities in this context. Then we show that if E is 2-concave, ‖kεkxkE is equivalent to the infimum of over all yk, zk in E(M) such that xk=yk+zk for any k?1. Dual estimates are given when E is 2-convex and has a nontrivial upper Boyd index. In this case, ‖kεkxkE is equivalent to . We prove two first eigenvalue pinching theorems for Riemannian symmetric spaces (Theorems 1 and 2). As their application, we answer negatively a question raised by Elworthy and Rosenberg, who proposed to show that for every compact simple Lie group with a bi-invariant Riemannian metric on with respect to , being the Killing form of the Lie algebra , the first eigenvalue would satisfy

for all orthonormal bases of tangent spaces of (cf. Corollary 3). This problem arose in an attempt to give a spectral geometric proof that for a Lie group .
