The purpose of this paper is to investigate uniform persistence for nonautonomous and random parabolic Kolmogorov systems via the skew-product semiflows approach. It is first shown that the uniform persistence of the skew-product semiflow associated with a nonautonomous (random) parabolic Kolmogorov system implies that of the system. Various sufficient conditions in terms of the so-called unsaturatedness and/or Lyapunov exponents for uniform persistence of the skew-product semiflows are then provided. Among others, it is shown that if the associated skew-product semiflow has a global attractor and its restriction to the boundary of the state space has a Morse decomposition which is unsaturated or whose external Lyapunov exponents are positive, then it is uniformly persistent. More specific conditions are discussed for uniform persistence in n-species, particularly 3-species, random competitive systems.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the question of smoothness of the carrying simplex S for a discrete-time dissipative competitive dynamical system. We give a necessary and sufficient criterion for S being a C1 submanifold-with-corners neatly embedded in the nonnegative orthant, formulated in terms of inequalities between Lyapunov exponents for ergodic measures supported on the boundary of the orthant. This completes one thread of investigation occasioned by a question posed by M.W. Hirsch in 1988. Besides, amenable conditions are presented to guarantee the Cr (r?1) smoothness of S in the time-periodic competitive Kolmogorov systems of ODEs. Examples are also presented, one in which S is of class C1 but not neatly embedded, the other in which S is not of class C1.  相似文献

We obtain global and local theorems on the existence of invariant manifolds for perturbations of nonautonomous linear differential equations assuming a very general form of dichotomic behavior for the linear equation. Besides some new situations that are far from the hyperbolic setting, our results include, and sometimes improve, some known stable manifold theorems.  相似文献

The current paper is devoted to the investigation of asymptotic dynamics in random Kolmogorov models. Applying the theory of principal Lyapunov exponents and the principal spectrum developed in the authors previous papers together with the concept of part metric it provides conditions for the existence of a globally attracting positive random equilibrium, the existence of a globally attracting uniformly positive random equilibrium, and the extinction in random Kolmogorov models. These results are an important complement to the existing ones.  相似文献

Recently, the existence of Morse decompositions for nonautonomous dynamical systems was shown for three different time domains: the past, the future and—in the linear case—the entire time. In this article, notions of exponential dichotomy are discussed with respect to the three time domains. It is shown that an exponential dichotomy gives rise to an attractor-repeller pair in the projective space, which is a building block of a Morse decomposition. Moreover, based on the notions of exponential dichotomy, dichotomy spectra are introduced, and it is proved that the corresponding spectral manifolds lead to Morse decompositions in the projective space.  相似文献

In the present paper we study a nonautonomous predator–prey model with stage structure and double time delays due to maturation time for both prey and predator. We assume that the immature and mature individuals of each species are divided by a fixed age, and the mature predator only attacks the immature prey. Based on some comparison arguments we discuss the permanence of the species. By virtue of the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory, we prove the existence of positive periodic solution. By means of constructing an appropriate Lyapunov functional, we obtain sufficient conditions for the uniqueness and the global stability of positive periodic solution. Two examples are given to illustrate the feasibility of our main results.  相似文献

We investigate the dynamics of a class of multi-species predator-prey interaction models with Holling type III functional responses based on systems of nonautonomous differential equations with impulsive perturbations. Sufficient conditions for existence of a positive periodic solution are investigated by using a continuation theorem in coincidence degree theory, which have been extensively applied in studying existence problems in differential equations and difference equations. In addition, sufficient criteria are established for the global stability and the globally exponential stability of the system by using the comparison principle and the Lyapunov method.  相似文献

For a general one-sided nonautonomous dynamics defined by a sequence of linear operators, we consider the notion of a polynomial dichotomy with respect to a sequence of norms and we characterize it completely in terms of the admissibility of bounded solutions. We derive conditions for the positivity and boundedness of the Green functions of the higher order linear nonautonomous ODE. By virtue of these conditions, the existence of positive solutions for a class of nonlinear equations is proved. In addition, upper and lower estimates for the Green functions are established. Moreover, it is shown that nonlinear equations, having separated nonautonomous linear parts, satisfy the generalized Aizerman hypothesis on absolute stability, if they have the positive Green functions.  相似文献

We obtain real analytic invariant manifolds for trajectories of maps assuming only the existence of a nonuniform exponential behavior. We also consider the more general case of sequences of maps, which corresponds to a nonautonomous dynamics with discrete time. We emphasize that the maps that we consider are defined in a real Euclidean space, and thus, one is not able to obtain the invariant manifolds from a corresponding procedure to that in the nonuniform hyperbolicity theory in the context of holomorphic dynamics. We establish the existence both of stable (and unstable) manifolds and of center manifolds. As a byproduct of our approach we obtain an exponential control not only for the trajectories on the invariant manifolds, but also for all their derivatives.  相似文献

Since the celebrated Mackey–Glass model of respiratory dynamics was introduced in 1977, many results on its qualitative behavior have been obtained, including oscillation, stability and chaos. The paper reviews some known properties and presents new results for more general models: equations with time-dependent parameters, several delays, a positive periodic equilibrium and distributed delays. The problems considered in the paper involve existence, positivity and permanence of solutions, oscillation and global asymptotic stability. In addition, some general approaches to the study of nonlinear nonautonomous scalar delay equations are outlined. The paper generalizes and unifies existing results and provides an outlook on further studies.  相似文献

In this paper we study the existence of periodic solutions with prescribed wavelength for two classes of nonlocal fourth-order nonautonomous differential equations. Existence of nontrivial solutions for the first equation is proved using Clark’s theorem. The dynamics of a predator–prey model with impulsive state feedback control, which is described by an autonomous system with impulses, is studied. The sufficient conditions of existence and stability of semi-trivial solution and positive period-1 solution are obtained by using the Poincaré map and analogue of the Poincaré criterion. The qualitative analysis shows that the positive period-1 solution bifurcates from the semi-trivial solution through a fold bifurcation. The bifurcation diagrams of periodic solutions are obtained by using the Poincaré map, and it is shown that a chaotic solution is generated via a cascade of period-doubling bifurcations.  相似文献

This paper focuses on nonlinear perturbations of flows in Banach spaces, corresponding to a nonautonomous dynamical system on measure chains admitting a nonuniform exponential dichotomy. We first define the nonuniform exponential dichotomy of linear nonuniformly hyperbolic systems on measure chains, then establish a new version of the Grobman-Hartman theorem for nonuniformly hyperbolic dynamics on measure chains with the help of nonuniform exponential dichotomies. Moreover, we also construct stable invariant manifolds for sufficiently small nonlinear perturbations of a nonuniform exponential dichotomy. In particular, it is shown that the stable invariant manifolds are Lipschitz in the initial values provided that the nonlinear perturbation is a sufficiently small Lipschitz perturbation.  相似文献

Although, bifurcation theory of ordinary differential equations with autonomous and periodic time dependence is a major object of research in the study of dynamical systems since decades, the notion of a nonautonomous bifurcation is not yet established. In this article, two different approaches are discussed which are based on special notions of attractivity and repulsivity. This work focuses on population dynamics of two species described by Kolmogorov systems of competitive type under telegraph noise that is formulated as a continuous-time Markov chain with two states. Our main effort is on establishing the existence of an invariant (or a stationary) probability measure. In addition, the convergence in total variation of the instantaneous measure to the stationary measure is demonstrated under suitable conditions. Moreover, the Ω-limit set of a model in which each species is dominant in a state of the telegraph noise is examined in detail.  相似文献
