For a class of negative slowly decaying potentials, including V(x):=−γ|x|μ with 0<μ<2, we study the quantum mechanical scattering theory in the low-energy regime. Using appropriate modifiers of the Isozaki-Kitada type we show that scattering theory is well behaved on the whole continuous spectrum of the Hamiltonian, including the energy 0. We show that the modified scattering matrices S(λ) are well-defined and strongly continuous down to the zero energy threshold. Similarly, we prove that the modified wave matrices and generalized eigenfunctions are norm continuous down to the zero energy if we use appropriate weighted spaces. These results are used to derive (oscillatory) asymptotics of the standard short-range and Dollard type S-matrices for the subclasses of potentials where both kinds of S-matrices are defined. For potentials whose leading part is −γ|x|μ we show that the location of singularities of the kernel of S(λ) experiences an abrupt change from passing from positive energies λ to the limiting energy λ=0. This change corresponds to the behaviour of the classical orbits. Under stronger conditions one can extract the leading term of the asymptotics of the kernel of S(λ) at its singularities.  相似文献

In this article, we study a second-order expansion for the effect induced on a large quantum particle which undergoes a single scattering with a low-mass particle via a repulsive point interaction. We give an approximation with third-order error in λ to the map , where GB(L2(Rn)) is a heavy-particle observable, ρB1(Rn) is the density matrix corresponding to the state of the light particle, is the mass ratio of the light particle to the heavy particle, SλB(L2(Rn)⊗L2(Rn)) is the scattering matrix between the two particles due to a repulsive point interaction, and the trace is over the light-particle Hilbert space. The third-order error is bounded in operator norm for dimensions one and three using a weighted operator norm on G.  相似文献

In this paper we extend the notion of a locally hypercyclic operator to that of a locally hypercyclic tuple of operators. We then show that the class of hypercyclic tuples of operators forms a proper subclass to that of locally hypercyclic tuples of operators. What is rather remarkable is that in every finite dimensional vector space over R or C, a pair of commuting matrices exists which forms a locally hypercyclic, non-hypercyclic tuple. This comes in direct contrast to the case of hypercyclic tuples where the minimal number of matrices required for hypercyclicity is related to the dimension of the vector space. In this direction we prove that the minimal number of diagonal matrices required to form a hypercyclic tuple on Rn is n+1, thus complementing a recent result due to Feldman.  相似文献

We study an inverse scattering problem for a pair of Hamiltonians (H,H0) on L2(Rn), where H0=-Δ and H=H0+V, V being a short- or long-range potential. By an elementary constructive method, we show that the scattering operator S, which is localized near a fixed energy λ>0, determines the asymptotics of the potential V at infinity, in dimension n?3. This is done by studying the action of the scattering operator on suitable wave packets.  相似文献

Dissipative Schrödinger operators with a matrix potential are studied in L2((0,∞);E)(dimE=n<∞) which are extension of a minimal symmetric operator L0 with defect index (n,n). A selfadjoint dilation of a dissipative operator is constructed, using the Lax-Phillips scattering theory, the spectral analysis of a dilation is carried out, and the scattering matrix of a dilation is founded. A functional model of the dissipative operator is constructed and its characteristic function's analytic properties are determined, theorems on the completeness of eigenvectors and associated vectors of a dissipative Schrödinger operator are proved.  相似文献

Suppose F is a differentiable mapping from a rectangle R?En into En. Gale and Nikaido proved that if the Jacobian of F is a P-matrix in R, then F is univalent in R. Their paper has served as the basis of numerous results on univalence. Recently H. Scarf conjectured a significant extension: that the Jacobian of F need not be a P-matrix everywhere in the rectangle R, but merely on its boundary. This paper proves Scarf's conjecture, and to do so utilizes a conceptually different method of proof than that of Gale and Nikaido. The proof is presented in such a way as to demonstrate a suggestion of Scarf that orientation arguments may provide an alternative proof of the Gale-Nikaido theorem.  相似文献

Acoustic scattering by bounded obstacles is considered, in both two and three dimensions. Relations between the T-matrix and the far-field pattern are derived, and then used to obtain new approximations for the T-matrix for small obstacles. The problem of scattering by a pair of small sound-soft circular cylinders is also solved, in the Rayleigh approximation, using bipolar coordinates.  相似文献

Doubly B-matrices (DB-matrices), which properly contain B-matrices, are introduced by Peña (2003) [2]. In this paper we present error bounds for the linear complementarity problem when the matrix involved is a DB-matrix and a new bound for linear complementarity problem of a B-matrix. We investigate different concentration-compactness and blow-up phenomena related to the Q-curvature in arbitrary even dimension. We first treat the case of an open domain in R2m, then that of a closed manifold and, finally, the particular case of the sphere S2m. In all cases we allow the sign of the Q-curvature to vary, and show that in the case of a closed manifold, contrary to the case of open domains in R2m, blow-up phenomena can occur only at points of positive Q-curvature. As a consequence, on a locally conformally flat manifold of non-positive Euler characteristic we always have compactness.  相似文献

(Euclidean Rn, with a compactly supported metric perturbation, is an example of such a space.) Let Δ be the positive Laplacian on (M,g), and V a smooth potential on M which decays to second order at infinity. In this paper we construct the kernel of the operator −1(h2Δ+V2(λ0±i0)), at a non-trapping energy λ0>0, uniformly for h∈(0,h0), h0>0 small, within a class of Legendre distributions on manifolds with codimension three corners. Using this we construct the kernel of the propagator, eit(Δ/2+V), t∈(0,t0) as a quadratic Legendre distribution. In this paper quasi-bimonads on a monoidal category are introduced and investigated. Quasi-bimonads generalize quasi-bialgebras to a non-braided setting. We discuss their representations and investigate the R-matrix of a quasi-bimonad. Such an R-matrix provides a new solution of the version of the Yang-Baxter equation adapted to the situation. We also introduce an equivalent relation on (quasitriangular) quasi-bimonads such that the categories of representations of two (quasitriangular) quasi-bimonads are (braided) monoidal equivalent. Finally, we discuss Drinfeld twists and Hom quasi-bialgebras.  相似文献

A study of scattering properties of S0 mode Lamb wave in an infinite plate with multiple damage is presented. Plate theory and wave function expansion method are used to derive the analytical solutions for the scattering wave field in plate with a single damage, and by using the addition theorems of Bessel functions, interference phenomena between scattering wave fields from different damage is investigated. Measurements agree well between theoretical results and FE simulation study of plate with two damage and validity of the model is confirmed. Numerical results of scattering displacement field in plate with two and three damage are graphically presented and discussed. An assessment of effects of damage geometric properties on the scattering properties is made.  相似文献

A column continuous transition function is by definition a standard transition function P(t) whose every column is continuous for t?0 in the norm topology of bounded sequence space l. We will prove that it has a stable q-matrix and that there exists a one-to-one relationship between column continuous transition functions and increasing integrated semigroups on l. Using the theory of integrated semigroups, we give some necessary and sufficient conditions under which the minimal q-function is column continuous, in terms of its generator (of the Markov semigroup) as well as its q-matrix. Furthermore, we will construct all column continuous Q-functions for a conservative, single-exit and column bounded q-matrix Q. As applications, we find that many interesting continuous-time Markov chains (CTMCs), say Feller-Reuter-Riley processes, monotone processes, birth-death processes and branching processes, etc., have column continuity.  相似文献

In this paper we consider nonautonomous elliptic operators A with nontrivial potential term defined in I×Rd, where I is a right-halfline (possibly I=R). We prove that we can associate an evolution operator (G(t,s)) with A in the space of all bounded and continuous functions on Rd. We also study the compactness properties of the operator G(t,s). Finally, we provide sufficient conditions guaranteeing that each operator G(t,s) preserves the usual Lp-spaces and C0(Rd).  相似文献
