In this paper we study the existence of bounded weak solutions for some nonlinear Dirichlet problems in unbounded domains. The principal part of the operator behaves like the p-laplacian operator, and the lower order terms, which depend on the solution u and its gradient u, have a power growth of order p–1 with respect to these variables, while they are bounded in the x variable. The source term belongs to a Lebesgue space with a prescribed asymptotic behaviour at infinity.  相似文献

The paper deals with the large solutions of the problems $\triangle u=u^p$ and $\triangle u= e^u.$ They blow up at the boundary. It is well-known that the first term in their asymptotic behaviour near the boundary is independent of the geometry of the boundary. We determine the second term which depends on the mean curvature of the nearest point on the boundary. The computation is based on suitable upper and lower solutions and on estimates given in [4]. In the last section these estimates are used together with the P-function to establish the asymptotic behaviour of the gradients.  相似文献

We establish optimal gradient estimates in Orlicz space for a nonhomogeneous elliptic equation of higher order with discontinuous coefficients on a nonsmooth domain. Our assumption is that for each point and for each sufficiently small scale the coefficients have small mean oscillation and the boundary of the domain is sufficiently close to a hyperplane. As a consequence we prove the classical Wm,p, m=1,2,…, 1<p<∞, estimates for such a higher order equation. Our results easily extend to higher order elliptic and parabolic systems.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss with guaranteed a priori and a posteriori error estimates of finite element approximations for not necessarily coercive linear second order Dirichlet problems. Here, ‘guaranteed’ means we can get the error bounds in which all constants included are explicitly given or represented as a numerically computable form. Using the invertibility condition of concerning elliptic operator, guaranteed a priori and a posteriori error estimates are formulated. This kind of estimates plays essential and important roles in the numerical verification of solutions for nonlinear elliptic problems. Non-linear elliptic Neumann problems, possibly in irregular domains and with data affected by low integrability properties, are taken into account. Existence, uniqueness and continuous dependence on the data of generalized solutions are established under a suitable balance between the integrability of the datum and the (ir)regularity of the domain. In this paper we establish the existence and the uniqueness of positive solutions for Dirichlet boundary value problems of nonlinear elliptic equations with singularity. We obtain the existence and the uniqueness by using the mixed monotone method in the cone theory. Moreover, we give an iterative method of constructing the solution.
