In this paper we consider the problem of global Gevrey solvability for a class of sublaplacians on a toruswith coefficients in the Gevrey class Gs(TN). For this class of operators we show that global Gevrey solvability and global Gevrey hypoellipticity are both equivalent to the condition that the coefficients satisfy a Diophantine condition.  相似文献

We consider quasilinear partial differential equations whose linearizations have a symplectic characteristic variety of codimension 2. We consider in detail a model case of a sum of squares of (non-linear) vector fields: with a positive definite, real analytic function h(.,.,.) and prove that moderately smooth solutions u must be real analytic locally where the right-hand side is. The techniques even in this case are new and we consider only this model in this first paper in order to avoid detailed consideration of the first author's complicated localization of high powers of ∂/∂t introduced in Proc. The paper is devoted to partial Hölder estimates for weak solutions of a class of degenerate subelliptic systems constructed by Hörmander’s vector fields. Assumptions on the systems are that coefficient matrix satisfies VMO condition in the sense of Carnot-Carathéodory distance in variables x for fixed u, and lower order terms satisfy the natural growth condition and the controllable growth condition, respectively.  相似文献

F. Treves, in [17], using a notion of convexity of sets with respect to operators due to B. Malgrange and a theorem of C. Harvey, characterized globally solvable linear partial differential operators on C(X), for an open subset X of Rn.Let P=L+c be a linear partial differential operator with real coefficients on a C manifold X, where L is a vector field and c is a function. If L has no critical points, J. Duistermaat and L. Hörmander, in [2], proved five equivalent conditions for global solvability of P on C(X).Based on Harvey-Treves's result we prove sufficient conditions for the global solvability of P on C(X), in the spirit of geometrical Duistermaat-Hörmander's characterizations, when L is zero at precisely one point. For this case, additional non-resonance type conditions on the value of c at the equilibrium point are necessary.  相似文献

A continuous resp. discrete r-dimensional (r1) system is the solution space of a system of linear partial differential resp. difference equations with constant coefficients for a vector of functions or distributions in r variables resp. of r-fold indexed sequences. Although such linear systems, both multidimensional and multivariable, have been used and studied in analysis and algebra for a long time, for instance by Ehrenpreis et al. thirty years ago, these systems have only recently been recognized as objects of special significance for system theory and for technical applications. Their introduction in this context in the discrete one-dimensional (r=1) case is due to J. C. Willems. The main duality theorem of this paper establishes a categorical duality between these multidimensional systems and finitely generated modules over the polynomial algebra in r indeterminates by making use of deep results in the areas of partial differential equations, several complex variables and algebra. This duality theorem makes many notions and theorems from algebra available for system theoretic considerations. This strategy is pursued here in several directions and is similar to the use of polynomial algebra in the standard one-dimensional theory, but mathematically more difficult. The following subjects are treated: input-output structures of systems and their transfer matrix, signal flow spaces and graphs of systems and block diagrams, transfer equivalence and (minimal) realizations, controllability and observability, rank singularities and their connection with the integral respresentation theorem, invertible systems, the constructive solution of the Cauchy problem and convolutional transfer operators for discrete systems. Several constructions on the basis of the Gröbner basis algorithms are executed. This paper deals with the global solvability of a complex vector field with real analytic coefficients in two real variables. The vector field is assumed to satisfy the Nirenberg-Treves condition (P) for local solvability. Normal forms for the vector field near the one-dimensional orbits are obtained and a generalization of the Riemann-Hilbert problem is considered.  相似文献

We present a complete characterization for the s-global solvability and s-global hypoellipticity of L. We study the solvability of special vectorial Hamilton-Jacobi systems of the form F(Du(x))=0 in a Sobolev space. In this paper we establish the general existence theorems for certain Dirichlet problems using suitable approximation schemes called W1,p-reduction principles that generalize the similar reduction principle for Lipschitz solutions. Our approach, to a large extent, unifies the existing methods for the existence results of the special Hamilton-Jacobi systems under study. The method relies on a new Baire's category argument concerning the residual continuity of a Baire-one function. Some sufficient conditions for W1,p-reduction are also given along with certain generalization of some known results and a specific application to the boundary value problem for special weakly quasiregular mappings.  相似文献

Taking as a start point the recent article of Meziani [7], we present several results concerning the normalization of a class of complex vector fields in the plane which degenerate along a real curve. We mainly deal with operators with finite regularity and analyze both the local situation as well as the case of normalization near a circle. Some related questions (e.g., on semi-global solvability and on the normalization of a class of generalized Mizohata operators) are also discussed.  相似文献

We consider an overdetermined system of complex vector fields on the three-dimensional torus which is naturally associated to a real analytic, closed 1-form on the two-dimensional torus. By means of a detailed study of the geometry of level sets of a primitive of the pull-back of the 1-form via the universal covering, we prove that a necessary condition for the system to be globally solvable, in the non-exact case, is that each connected component of the critical set has a point at which the local primitives of the 1-form are open maps. When this condition is violated we also construct global solutions to the inhomogenous equations having analytic singularities.  相似文献

In this work we study the Borel property for smooth solutions to systems of complex vector fields associated to locally integrable structures. Inspired by the recent article [6], in which the Borel property was studied for generic submanifolds of the complex space, we prove similar results in this more general set up. In particular we obtain, for the case of corank one structures, a necessary and sufficient condition for the validity of the Borel property.  相似文献

In this paper, we present new interval oscillation criteria related to integral averaging technique for second order partial differential equations with delays that are different from most known ones in the sense that they are based on the information only on a sequence of subintervals of [t0,∞)[t0,), rather than on whole half-line. Our results are sharper than some previous results and handles the cases which are not covered by known criteria.  相似文献

In this work we study the property of strong unique continuation, at a given point, for Gevrey solutions to homogeneous systems of PDE defined by complex, real-analytic vector fields in involution. We show that when the system is minimal at the point then the strong unique continuation property holds for Gevrey solutions of order σ∈[1,2]σ[1,2] and, furthermore, when the minimality property fails to hold then there are non-trivial Gevrey flat solutions of any given order σ>1σ>1. The case of Gevrey order σ>2σ>2 is also studied for some particular classes of involutive systems.  相似文献

An inequality generalizing the classical Liouville and Harnack Theorems for real sub-Laplacians ℒ is proved. A representation formula for functions $u$ for which ℒu is a polynomial is also showed. As a consequence, some conditions are given ensuring that u is a polynomial whenever ℒu is a polynomial. This paper deals with the global exact controllability for first-order quasilinear hyperbolic systems of diagonal form with linearly degenerate characteristics. When the system has no zero characteristics, we establish the global exact boundary controllability from one arbitrarily preassigned C1C1 data to another by means of a constructive method, in which the desired boundary controls can be acted either on both sides or only on one side. Sharp estimates on the exact controllable time are given in both cases. When the system has some zero characteristics, the global exact controllability is also established.  相似文献

The global Markov property (GMP) has been shown in various cases under various conditions by quite different methods. Here we investigate the problem of the GMP (for lattice spin systems) from the nonstandard point of view. By embedding the given system into a hyperfinite system we are able to approximate the conditional expectations that are involved in the formulation of the GMP by internal conditional expectations. This leads to a nonstandard equivalent to the GMP as well as to sufficient nonstandard conditions that are easy to formulate. Finally, we then determine the interrelations between these conditions and some of the standard criteria, thus making their relative position somewhat clearer.  相似文献

In this paper we study a class of fractional order kinetic equation, which is a linear model of spatially inhomogeneous Boltzmann equation without angular cutoff. Using the multiplier method introduced by F. Hérau and K. Pravda‐Starov (J. Math. Pures et Appl., 2011), we establish the optimal global hypoelliptic estimates with weights for the linear model operator.  相似文献
