The mode-locking operation of the Nd:GGG crystal with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) was demonstrated.
Continuous wave (CW) mode-locking was obtained with the pulse duration of 11 ps and the pulse repetition rate of 40.38 MHz.
At 7 W of pump power, the maximum average output power of 1.1 W was obtained with the slope efficiency of 18.1%. 相似文献

We report to our knowledge a diode-pumped passively mode-locked Yb:CaNb(2)O(6) (Yb:CN) laser for the first time. Both CW and passive mode-locking operation of the laser are experimentally investigated. A maximum CW output power of 1.4 W with a slope efficiency of 20% is obtained on a 7 mm long 1.5 at.% Yb:CN crystal, while stable passive mode-locking with a commercial semiconductor saturable absorption mirror (SESAM) was achieved on a 3 mm long 3 at.% Yb:CN crystal. The mode-locked pulses have pulse width of 251 fs and an average output power of 44 mW at 1038 nm. 相似文献

In this paper the laser activities of a diode-pumped Yb:LuAG ceramic which was prepared by the solid-state reactive sintering method were reported. The maximum output power was 1.86 W in the continuous wave(CW) laser operation,corresponding to a slope efficiency of 53.6%. The CW laser could be tuned from 1030 to 1096 nm by inserting a prism in the cavity. With the assist of a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror(SESAM), passive mode-locking was realized,delivering sub-picosecond pulses with 933 fs duration and an average power of 532 m W at a repetition rate of 90.35 MHz. 相似文献

A quarter-wave plate and the thin film polarizer(TFP) are used for the LD end-pumped passively mode-locked Nd:YVO4 laser with semiconductor saturable absorber mirror(SESAM) to obtain a single beam output with a total power of 4.8 W.An optical-optical efficiency is achieved to be 24% for a stable CW mode-locking operation at 1064 nm,with a pulse repetition rate of 70 MHz and pulse width of 16 ps.The multipulse in the pulse sequence is eliminated for reaching a peak power as high as 4 kW. 相似文献

利用半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)锁模技术实现的超快脉冲激光器具有结构简单紧凑、脉冲序列稳定等优势,在许多领域有着重要用途,自问世以来受到国内外的广泛关注.分析了SESAM被动锁模侧面抽运固体激光器的具体要求,进行了不同条件下的SESAM被动锁模侧面抽运Nd:YAG激光器实验.获得了最高平均功率9.5 W,脉冲重复频率71 MHz,单脉冲能量约141 nJ的皮秒激光脉冲.对SESAM被动锁模侧面抽运Nd:YAG激光器进行了实验和理论分析,对实现高功率连续超短脉冲激光器进行了探讨. 相似文献

We report on the LD-pumped passively mode-locked solid-state laser with SESAM (semiconductor saturable absorber mirror), in which the output beam is single passed through a flat mirror. The CW mode-locking pulse at 1064 nm, with an output power of 5 W, a pulse repetition rate of 98 MHz, and a pulse width of 25.3 ps. We report on the passive mode-locking of a diode-end-pumped neodymium-doped gadolinium gallium garnet (Nd:GGG) crystal with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM). Continuous wave (CW) mode-locking was obtained. The mode-locked pulse duration was estimated to be ∼17.5 ps with a maximum average output power of 0.4 W. The mode-locked pulses have a repetition rate of 121.5 MHz. To our knowledge, this is the first demonstration of passive mode-locking of the diode pumped Nd:GGG lasers. 相似文献

A diode-pumped continuous-wave (CW) mode-locked Nd:YVO4/KTP green laser with semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) is demonstrated. The maximum output power of CW mode-locked green laser is obtained to be 552 mW at the incident pump power of 7.25 W, corresponding to an opticai-optical conversion efficiency of about 7.6%. A laser diode end-pumped passively mode-locked Nd:YVO4 solid-state laser with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM), in which the intracavity laser beam spot on the SESAM can be adjusted periodically, is investigated. Inserting a rectangular prism (RP) into the laser cavity is a promising approach towards the goal of periodically moving the position of the focus spot of the intracavity pulse on the SESAM surface to avoid the long-time irradiation of the laser beam on the same position, thereby solving a series of problems caused by damage to the SESAM and greatly prolonging its usage life. The adjustment of the rectangular prism in the laser cavity does not break the stable continuous wave (CW) mode-locked condition. The laser generates a stable picosecond pulse sequence at 1064 nm with an output power of 3.6 W and a pulse width of 14 ps. The instabilities of the output power and the pulse width are 1.77% and 4.5%, respectively. 相似文献

利用谐振腔的稳定条件对激光二极管侧面抽运的 Nd∶YAG锁模直腔的稳区特性和谐振腔内的光斑分布进行了分析。根据对腔参量的分析,选取合适的腔参量设计了一个简单的侧面抽运直腔,该谐振腔腔形简单,没有像散,振荡光模式好,有利于激光器的锁模运转。实验中采用国内自行研制的半导体可饱和吸收镜,实现了激光二极管侧面抽运半导体可饱和吸收镜锁模Nd∶YAG激光器的连续锁模运转,平均输出功率为 2 W,锁模脉冲宽度为10 ps,重复频率为100 MHz。结合实验结果进一步讨论了半导体可饱和吸收镜的一些参量如饱和恢复时间、调制深度等对实现稳定连续锁模的影响。 相似文献

We report on an 880 nm LD pumped passive mode-locked TEM00 Nd:YVO4 laser based on a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM), with a high optical-to-optical conversion efficiency of
67.3%, and a slope efficiency of 71%. When the absorbed pump power was 11 W, 7.4 W average output power of 1064 nm continuous-wave
mode-locked laser was achieved. To our knowledge, this is the highest optical-to-optical conversion efficiency among all the
published reports of 880 nm LD pumped SESAM passive mode-locked lasers. The repetition rate of mode-locked pulse was 80 MHz

采用Nd∶Gd0.1Y0.9VO4晶体作为增益介质和Z形腔结构,分析比较了腔内加入自行设计的镀和不镀高反膜的半导体可饱和吸收镜(SESAM)对激光锁模的影响.在腔内加入镀膜SESAM后,激光锁模阈值由1.69W下降为1.45W,并且锁模更稳定.在2W抽运功率下,在1064nm中心波长处获得了双端250mW的连续锁模输出,光光转换效率为12.5%,重复频率为142.25MHz.

Dynamic process of self-started self-mode-locked Ti : sapphire laser with a semiconductor saturable absorber mirror (SESAM) was investigated and two mode-locking starting processes were found in which one is fast and the other is slow. In the fast starting process, a mode-locking build-up time of about 400 μs was needed during which pure passive mode-locking process was caused by the SESAM and Kerr-lens mode-locking process arose from the nonlinearity of the Ti : sapphire gain medium. In the slow starting process, a build-up time of about several minutes was found in which temperature effect of the SESAM dominates the dynamic process. 相似文献

Passive mode-locking of a diode pumped Yb-doped GdVO4 crystal laser was demonstrated for the first time to our knowledge. The laser was mode-locked at the wavelength of 1019.1 nm and had an average output power of 1.01 W. The mode-locked pulse duration was 3.1 ps.
