Decay of63Zn     
Investigation of the 38.8 min decay of63Zn has resulted in 31 gamma-ray transitions in63Cu. New levels not earlier reported inΒ +-decay of63Zn, but found in nuclear reactions, are suggested at 2,010.9 and 3,101 keV. It is assumed that the excited core model generates a multiplet of levels at 669.75 keV (1/2?), 962.1 keV (5/2?), 1,327.1 keV (7/2?) and 1,546.6 keV (3/2?). Intensities for intramultiplet transitions were found to be: 219.4 keV, <0.004 (in units of 200 for annihilation radiation), 292.4 keV, <0.004, 365.0 keV, 0.03±0.03, 584.4 keV, <0.005, and 876.8 keV, <0.005.  相似文献

Fe61(T 1/2=5.95 min) was produced irradiating Ni64 and natural nickelfoils with fast neutrons in the reaction Ni64(n, α)Fe61; Fe was chemical seperated. The gamma and beta spectrum were investigated with Ge(Li)-counters, NaJ(Tl) and plastic scintillation spectrometers. Fe61 emits five gamma rays having the energies and intensities per Fe61 decay: 121 keV (0.064), 177 keV (0.027), 298 keV (0.293), 1025 keV (0.461), 1202 keV (0.539). Threeγγ-cascades could be identified: 121–177 keV, 121–1202 keV, 298–1025 keV. Inγ β-coincidence measurements the maximal beta energy was determined:E βmax=2.86 MeV. A decay sceme Fe61-Co61 was constructed: Fe61, spin and parityJ π=3/2?, decays by means of allowed beta decay to three excited states of Co61: 1323 keV (1/2?), 1202 keV (3/2?), 1025 keV (5/2?). The energies and intensities per Fe61 decay of the three beta decay modes are: 2.56 MeV (0.367), 2.68 MeV (0.495), 2.86 MeV (0.138). — A 88 keV gamma ray (T1/2=33 sec) was observed coming from the Co63 decay.  相似文献

The decays of the 25 min-Ag106g and 8.3 d-Ag106m have been investigated using Ge(Li)- and Si(Li)-counters. Theγ-rays of 17 transitions in the Ag106g -decay and of 42 transitions in the Ag106m -decay have been observed and their energies and relative intensities have been determined. The intensities of theseγ-rays and the intensities of conversion-electrons known from earlier measurements allow the determination ofK-conversion-coefficients for 23 transitions. The present data are consistent with a level-scheme of Pd106 having states at 0, 0+; 511.8, 2+; 1127.8, 2+; 1133.1, 0+; 1228.8, 4+; 1557.4, 3+; 1562, 2+; 1702.8, 4+; 1931.7, 3, 4+; 2002, 0+; 2040.4, 3, 4+; 2076.8, 3, 4+; 2084.2, 3?; 2305.7, 4?; 2324, 1, 2+; 2350.4, 3, 4+; 2365.3, 3, 4+; 2529, 1, 2+; 2756.3, 5+; 2951.3 keV, 5+. The level-scheme of Pd106 is compared with the predictions of the vibrational model for spherical nuclei.  相似文献

Theγ-ray-spectrum of Ni61 associated with the E.C. andΒ +-decay of Cu61 has been measured with a Ge(Li)-counter. The observed 14 newγ-ray-transitions led to a new level-scheme for this decay with Ni61-Ievels at: 67.7, 282.9, 656.0, 907.9, 1099.8, 1132.7, 1186.8, 1610.6, 1730.8 and 2128.0 keV. Five of these levels were known from earlier investigations of Cu61-decay, but all of them could be identified with some of previously reported levels found in scattering experiments. As far as possible spin and parity assignments have been made and are compared with the results of scattering experiments.  相似文献

Study of theβ-decay of98Y and of the level scheme of98Zr was undertaken by the use of the two recoil fission product separators JOSEF and LOHENGRIN. Twoβ-decay modes have been detected for98Y, the half-lives of which are 0.65±0.05 s and 2.0±0.2 s. The spins and parities of the two states which undergoβ-decay are proposed to be 1+ and 4?, respectively, with the configurations (π1g 9/2)(ν1g 7/2) and (π2p 1/2 (ν1g 7/2). The measuredQ β -value is 7300±400 keV for the 0.65 s decay. The level scheme of98Zr was deduced fromγ,γ-coincidence data. Absoluteγ-intensities were obtained from two independent measurements. The half-life of the first excited state of98Zr at 853.0 keV with spin and parity 0+ was determined through delayedγ, e?-measurements to be 63 ±7ns. No indication of the coexistence of two different nuclear shapes of98Zr was found.  相似文献

The radioactive isotopes Tm174 and Tm175 were produced by the reactions Yb176 (γ, np) Tm174 and Yb176(γ,p) Tm175 respectively, with bremsstrahlung of 54 MeV maximum energy. TheΒ- andγ-radiations from the decay of these isotopes were investigated using scintillation counters, solid state detectors and coincidence methods. The decay scheme proposed for Tm174 is similar to those proposed by previous investigations. The spin assignment of the isomeric 1520 keV level was revised to beI=7. The decay of Tm175, which was until now rather unknown, has a half-life of of 15.2±0.5 min. The suggested decay scheme shows excited levels at 105 (9/2?), 511 (1/2?), 553 (3/2?), 598 (5/2?), 643 (5/2?, 7/2?), 816 (3/2?), 873, 990, 1454 (1/2+), 1496 (3/2+), 1505, 1810 and 1881 keV. The decays of Rh97g and Rh97m were investigated using Ge(Li)- and Si(Li)-detectors and a Ge(Li)—Ge(Li)-coincidence circuit. The isomeric transition with an energy of 259 keV was identified by its conversion electrons and decays with a half-life of (48.0±0.8) min. Therefore, the half-lives (30.3±0.9) min and (47.9±0.6) min obtained from theγ-studies were attributed to the decays of Rh97g and Rh97m respectively. The proposed decay schemes have 31 excited states of Ru97 and account for 84 of the 110 observedγ-transitions, especially for the 37 strongest ones. Twelve of the proposed levels having spins and parities 1/2? or 3/2? and excitation energies between 2200 keV and 3600 keV are interpreted as being due to 2p 1/2-neutron-hole-states.  相似文献

The γ radiation from the ß? decay of the high-spin isomer in98Y has been studied at the separator JOSEF. A main goal was to get insight into the spins of levels in98Zr which have been interpreted as members of an intruder band based on the 02 + state at 854 keV. The measuredγ-γ angular-correlations lead to the assignment of spins of 4 and 3 ? to the 2491 and 1844 keV levels, respectively, and contradict their interpretation as the 6+ and 4+ states of the proposed band. For the 2.0s isomer of98Y, the ß{?}-decay properties suggest I=5 with a major configuration [πg9/2,νs1/2(g2 7/2)0].  相似文献

Angular distributions of 413 and 1,322keV gamma rays from the Mn55(p,nγ)Fe55 reaction and the (n-γ) angular correlation measurements have been measured at proton energies below 2.50 MeV. The experimental results show agreement with the Sheldon formula. The multipole mixture parameters for the 933 and 1,322 keV gamma rays in Fe55 have been determined. The sum coincidence technique is used to give some information about the scheme of excited levels in the Fe55 nucleus.  相似文献

The decay of125m Xe produced by the reaction122Te(α, n)125m Xe using a target enriched in122Te (95.4%) and the decay of127m Xe produced by the reaction127J(d, 2n)127m Xe have been investigated: 125m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(56±3) sec by ayy- cascade withE γ1=(140.4 ±0.5) keV andE γ2=(110.5 ±0.5) keV. The experimental conversion coefficients yield multipolarities ofE3 for the 140.4 keV isomeric transition and predominantlyM1 for the 110.5 keV-transition. 127m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(71±2) sec. The decay also proceeds by aγγ-cascade with an isomeric E3 transition ofE γ1=(172.5±0.3) keV and a predominantlyM1 transition ofE γ2=(124.6±0.3) keV. In the decay of127g Xe an additional branching of the electron capture to a level at (618.1±0.3) keV was observed. The relative probability forK-captureP K618/PK375=0.40 ±0.07 yields a total transition energyQ EC=(664 ±4)keV. A spin of 1/2+ was assigned to the ground state.  相似文献

Mn52m(T 1/2=21 m) was produced by irradiating iron-foiles with deuterons ofE d =9 MeV. Coincidences ofγ-rays with the main 1434 keV-transition had been sought for with the aid of a scintillation fast-slow-coincidence circuit. There was no evidence ofγ-lines which had been found earlier byKatoh et al. atγ-energies 700, 940, 1020, 1150, 1370, 1520 keV. If these transitions exist, their relative intensities are less than 0.7% (700 keV) and 0.3% (all others) per decay of Mn52m.  相似文献

The45Sc(α, p γ) reaction has been investigated atE α=11, 12 and 13MeV. Theγ-decay of 198 levels in48Ti up to 8,323 keV excitation energy has been observed. High-spin states were investigated by proton-γ ray angular correlation measurements atE=11 and 13MeV and by DSAM lifetime measurements atE=11 MeV. From the combined evidence spin (-parity) assignments were obtained for the levels atE x =8,323 keV (J= 10,8,6), 8,091(12, 10, 8, 6), 7,668(10, 8), 7,427(9, 7), 7,374(11, 9, 7), 6,906(10, 8, 6), 6,172(8+,6+), 6,102(10+,8+), 6,039(6), 6,034(9+, 7+), 5,630(7), 5,197(8+), 5,169(7+), 5,155(5), 4,404(5), 4,398(6+) and 4,046keV (5). Most of the ambiguous spin assignments become unique if the 8,091 keV level hasJ=12, an assumption which is favoured by its excitation function. The level spectrum thus obtained is well reproduced by shell model calculations in the pure (f 7/2)8 configuration space. Discrepancies exist in the reproduction ofγ-decay modes. The reason is found in low-lying high-spin intruder states which include the 7,427 and 8,323 keV levels. The spectrum of negative-parity states is understood qualitatively by a comparison with46Ti and42Ca.  相似文献

The 18N(β?)18O decay was observed via the 9Be(18O, p2α)18N reaction, utilizing helium-transport techniques and Ge(Li) spectroscopy. In addition to the previously reported β-decay to the 18O 4456 keV level (Jπ = 1?) branches were observed to levels at excitation energies (in keV) of 1982 (Jπ = 2+). 5530(2?), 6198(1?). 6350(2? or 1+), 6880(0?), and 7771(2?). The percentage β-branches, in order of increasing excitation energy, are 3.9 ± 1.5, 54.6 ± 1.0, 3.1 ± 0.4, 1.4 ± 0.2, 2.2 ± 0.3, 14.8 ± 0.8 and 5.0 ± 0.5. respectively, with 15 % assumed on the basis of calculations to proceed to non-γ-emitting states. These measurements allow definite assignments Jπ = 1? for the 18N ground state and Jπ = 0? for the 18O 6880 keV state. Additional measurements determine the 18N half-life to be T1 2 = 624 ± 12 ms. A shell-model calculation for mass 18 was carried out in a full 1?ω basis. The predictions for the T = 2 energy level spectrum and for 18N β-decay are discussed.  相似文献

The nuclear half-life of the 287 keV second excited state of75Se, populated by the reaction75As(p, n)75Se* has been measured by the delayed coincidence technique. NaJ(Tl)- and Ge(Li)-detectors were used for measuringγ-energies and time-spectra. By slope analysis of the time-spectra we obtained a half-life of T1/2(75Se, 287 keV)=(30.0±0.4) ns. Possible spin assignments for the 287 keV state in75Se from logft-values derived fromβ +-decay data of75Br to this level byBaskova et al are 3/2? and 1/2?. Application of an external magnetic field of 24 kG to the target nuclei yielded no measurable perturbation of the time-spectra, thus a spin value of 1/2? for this level seems to be more probable.  相似文献

Attempts were made to grow CeO2 and ThO2 single crystals doped with transition metal ions. Only Fe3+ and Mn2+ could be detected by the EPR technique. The EPR spectrum of Fe3+ in CeO2 exhibits the well-known fine structure in cubic fields. The parameters areg=2.0044(1) anda=15.6(1)·10?4 cm?1. The hyperfine constantA for57Fe in hexahedral coordination was found to be 8.9(1)·10?4 cm?1. The EPR spectrum of Mn2+ in CeO2 reveals two cubic Mn2+ centers. The parameters for center 1 areg=1.9999(1) andA=86.9(1)·10?4 cm?1 and for center 2g=1.9984(1) andA=87.0(1)·10?4 cm?1. Heating the Mn doped CeO2 samples in hydrogen, the Mn2+ centers transform from cubic into trigonal centers with approximate values ofg=1.9988(2),A=84.5(6)·10?4 cm?1 andD=203(1)·10?4 cm?1. The two observed Mn2+ centers in ThO2 exhibita priori axial symmetry with approximate values ofg=2.0006(2),A=88.9(4)·10?4 cm?1 andD=33(3)·10?4 cm?1.  相似文献

Theγ-spectrum of Tc95 associated with the E.C.- and β+-decay of Ru95 has been measured with a Ge(Li)-counter and a NaJ-crystal. 12 newγ-ray transitions have been found in these spectrums. To propose a new level-schemeγ-γ-coincidences have been taken with 2 NaJ-crystals in a two-dimensional device. Besides this the total conversion coefficient of the 336 keV transition was measured by detecting the electrons in a Si(Li)-counter and theγ-rays in a NaJ-crystal.  相似文献

The nuclearg-factor of the 2·083 MeV-state of Ce140 has been determined as:g=1·11±0·04 This value suggests the interpretation of the level as the (g7/2,d5/2)4 two proton shell model configuration. The investigation implies an integral measurement as well as a time dependent differential measurement (spin rotation method) of the rotation of the 329 keV-487 keVγγ-angular correlation in strong external magnetic fields. Liquid sources of lanthanum nitrate solved in 3n HNO3 were used in these experiments. Some cerium (IV)nitrate was added to make sure that the 4f;-electronic shell remained empty after theβ ?-decay. This prevented paramagnetic effects. Additional runs were performed without adding cerium (IV)nitrate and finally by using liquid sources of lanthanum chloride solved in 2n HCl with some iron (II)-chloride added. It was expected that the Fe++ ions would reduce the primarily formed Ce++++ ions into the Ce+++ state. The Ce+++ shell is paramagnetic and enlarges the effective magnetic field at the position of the nucleus by about 36%. As no definitely faster rotation could be observed, one has to conclude that the ion reaction Ce+++++Fe++?Ce++++Fe+++ takes more than about 10?8s. The half life of the 2·083 MeV state has been redeterminded asT 1/2=(3·41±0·04)·10?9s. Differential measurements of the angular correlation of the 329 keV-487 keV cascade as a function of the time delay showed that perturbations by internal fields were very small. The coefficientsA 2 andA 4 of the angular correlation and the attenuation parameterλ 2 were determined from measurements with sources of the first type as:A 2=?0·105±0·003A 4=?0·001±0·002 andλ 2=(0·0065±0·0040)·109S?1=(0·032±0·020)·λ A comparison with the theoretical coefficients of a (3-4-2)-cascade shows that the multipolarity of the 329 keV radiation is a mixture of 99·83%M1 and (0·17±0·03) %E2.  相似文献

The low-lying levels of 53Mn and 54Mn have been studied using the 53, 54Cr(p, nγ) and 51V(α, nγ) reactions. Angular distributions of γ-rays have been measured and their integral rotations in iron alloy targets studied. The g-factor of the 377 keV, 52? level of 53Mn is g = + 1.15±0.17. Products have been found for the 55, 156, 368, 408 and 1072 keV levels of 54Mn to be 124±42, 360±60, 75±25, > 10 and 150±80 ps respectively. Using shell model estimates for the g-factors, the lifetimes of the levels have been deduced. An interpretation of the results in terms of shell model wave functions is given.  相似文献

Theγ-ray-spectrum of Fe56 associated with the E.C.- andβ +-decay of Co56 has been measured with Ge(Li)-crystals. 6 newγ-ray-transitions have been found in this spectrum deexciting 3 new levels in Fe56. The intensities of these transitions have been estimated and a new level-scheme is proposed. The new levels could be identified with some of previously reported levels found in Fe56(p, p′)-measurements.  相似文献
