The escaping set of an entire function is the set of points that tend to infinity under iteration. We consider subsets of the escaping set defined in terms of escape rates and obtain upper and lower bounds for the Hausdorff measure of these sets with respect to certain gauge functions.  相似文献

We show that the set of Liouville numbers carries a positive measure whose Fourier transform vanishes at infinity. The proof is based on a new construction of a Cantor set of Hausdorff dimension zero supporting such a measure.

We introduce the concept of escaping set for semigroups of transcendental entire functions using Fatou-Julia theory. Several results of the escaping set associated with the iteration of one transcendental entire function have been extended to transcendental semigroups. We also investigate the properties of escaping sets for conjugate semigroups and abelian transcendental semigroups. Several classes of transcendental semigroups for which Eremenko’s conjecture holds have been provided.  相似文献

The authors show that the self-similar set for a finite family of contractive similitudes (similarities, i.e., |fi(x) - fi(y)| = αi|x - y|, x,y ∈ RN, where 0 < αi < 1) is uniformly perfect except the case that it is a singleton. As a corollary, it is proved that this self-similar set has positive Hausdorff dimension provided that it is not a singleton. And a lower bound of the upper box dimension of the uniformly perfect sets is given. Meanwhile the uniformly perfect set with Hausdorff measure zero in its Hausdorff dimension is given.  相似文献

We prove an analog of Böttcher’s theorem for transcendental entire functions in the Eremenko–Lyubich class $ \mathcal{B} $ . More precisely, let f and g be entire functions with bounded sets of singular values and suppose that f and g belong to the same parameter space (i.e., are quasiconformally equivalent in the sense of Eremenko and Lyubich). Then f and g are conjugate when restricted to the set of points that remain in some sufficiently small neighborhood of infinity under iteration. Furthermore, this conjugacy extends to a quasiconformal self-map of the plane. We also prove that the conjugacy is essentially unique. In particular, we show that a function $ f \in \mathcal{B} $ has no invariant line fields on its escaping set. Finally, we show that any two hyperbolic functions $ f,g \in \mathcal{B} $ that belong to the same parameter space are conjugate on their sets of escaping points.  相似文献

For a self‐similar set E with the open set condition we completely determine the class of its Hausdorff gauges and the class of its prepacking gauges. Moreover, its Hausdorff measures and its packing premeasures with respect to the corresponding gauges are estimated. Without the open set condition we prove that a doubling gauge function is a packing gauge of E if and only if it is a prepacking gauge of E. Also, we give some extensions and applications of these results. Here a gauge function is called a Hausdorff, a prepacking, and a packing gauge of a set, if with respect to the function the set has positive and finite Hausdorff measure, packing premeasure, and packing measure, respectively. A self-similar Cantor set is completely decomposed as a class of the lower (upper) distribution sets. We give a relationship between the distribution sets in the distribution class and the subsets in a spectral class generated by the lower (upper) local dimensions of a self-similar measure. In particular, we show that each subset of a spectral class is exactly a distribution set having full measure of a self-similar measure related to the distribution set using the strong law of large numbers. This gives essential information of its Hausdorff and packing dimensions. In fact, the spectral class by the lower (upper) local dimensions of every self-similar measure, except for a singular one, is characterized by the lower or upper distribution class. Finally, we compare our results with those of other authors.  相似文献

In this note it is shown that the sum of two homogeneous Cantor sets is often a uniformly contracting self-similar set and it is given a sufficient condition for such a set to be of Lebesgue measure zero (in fact, of Hausdorff dimension less than one and positive Hausdorff measure at this dimension).
