We consider a semilinear wave equation, defined on a two-dimensional bounded domain Ω, with a nonlinear dissipation. Our main result is that the flow generated by the model is attracted by a finite dimensional global attractor. In addition, this attractor has additional regularity properties that depend on regularity properties of nonlinear functions in the equation. To our knowledge this is a first result of this type in the context of higher dimensional wave equations.  相似文献

The article is devoted to the study of the relation between forward and pullback attractors of set-valued nonautonomous dynamical systems (cocycles). Here it is proved that every compact global forward attractor is also a pullback attractor of the set-valued nonautonomous dynamical system. The inverse statement, generally speaking, is not true, but we prove that every global pullback attractor of an α-condensing set-valued cocycle is always a local forward attractor. The obtained general results are applied while studying periodic and homogeneous systems. We give also a new criterion of the absolute asymptotic stability of nonstationary discrete linear inclusions. The aim of this paper is to prove numerically, via computer graphic simulations, that the synthesis algorithmprovided by Danca et al. [1] can be utilized to synthesize any attractor of a dynamical system modeling a two-predator, one prey Lotka-Volterra like system. The algorithm switches in a periodic deterministic or a random way the control parameter inside a set of a chosen values. The obtained attractor is the same with the attractor obtained for parameter value taken as averaged value of the switched control values. This simple and effective algorithm relies on a convex property induced in the set of the attractors corresponding to the chosen switching parameters. The algorithm was tested successfully on systems depending linearly on the control parameter like Lorenz, Chen, Rossler, networks and other systems.  相似文献

This paper presents a study of the long-time dynamics of the dynamical system generated by a nonlinear system modeling mixture of solids with nonlinear damping and Fourier’s law. By using the recent quasi-stability theory, we prove the existence of a smooth finite dimensional global attractor, which is characterized as an unstable manifold of the set of stationary solutions. The quasi-stability of the system is achieved through an estimated stabilizability. Moreover, the existence of a generalized exponential attractor is shown.  相似文献

We study forward asymptotic autonomy of a pullback random attractor for a non-autonomous random lattice system and establish the criteria in terms of convergence, recurrence, forward-pullback absorption and asymptotic smallness of the discrete random dynamical system. By applying the abstract result to both non-autonomous and autonomous stochastic lattice equations with random viscosity, we show the existence of both pullback and global random attractors such that the time-component of the pullback attractor semi-converges to the global attractor as the time-parameter tends to infinity.  相似文献

Recently, in Bonfoh [Ann. Mat. Pura Appl. 2011;190:105–144], we investigated the dynamics of a nonconserved phase-field system whose singular limit is the viscous Cahn–Hilliard equation. More precisely, we proved the existence of the global attractor, exponential attractors, and inertial manifolds and we showed their continuity with respect to a singular perturbation parameter. In the present paper, we extend most of these results to a conserved phase-field system whose singular limit is the nonviscous Cahn–Hilliard equation. These equations describe phase transition processes. Here, we give a direct proof of the existence of inertial manifolds that differs from our previous method that was based on introducing a change of variables and an auxiliary problem.  相似文献

We consider the one-dimensional Cahn-Hilliard equation with an inertial term ?utt, for ??0. This equation, endowed with proper boundary conditions, generates a strongly continuous semigroup S?(t) which acts on a suitable phase-space and possesses a global attractor.
