An arrangement is described to produce a neutral hydrogen beam by splitting an accelerated H 2 + -Ion in a gas target. At 500 keV energy of the neutral H-atom, the ratio of H 2 + -ions to neutral H-atoms is measured to be about 12%. In the energy domain of 300 to 650 keV this ratio decreases only very little with increasing energy. The cross sections σ1, σ2 and σ3 for splitting inH ++H°, 2H ++e ? and for electronloss of the neutral atom are given.  相似文献

The optimum structures of thirty three proton disolvates (B…H…B)+ and (B…H…S)+ containing O…H+…O, N…H+…N, and N…H+…O hydrogen bridges were calculated by the density functional theory method (B3LYP/6-31++G(d, p)). The bridge parameters are compared with the proton affinities (PAs) of B and S molecules. Several dependences between the PA or ΔPA = PAB ? PAS values and the R OO, R NN, and R NO distances were established. It follows from these results that the proton affinity of oxygen-or nitrogen-containing molecules that form (B…H…B)+ and (B…H…S)+ ions is an important but not the only factor determining the geometric parameters of hydrogen bridges in them. The dependences obtained can be used to estimate the length of the central fragment of proton disolvates if the PA values of molecules in the disolvates are known. They also allow the degree of proton transfer (the R N…H and R H…O distances) to be estimated for N…H+…O bridges.  相似文献

Hysteresis of the magnetoresistance of ceramic YBa2Cu3O~6.95 HTSC samples is studied at T = 77.3 K in an external magnetic field H ext changing in 0 → H max → 0 cycles, where H max is the maximum magnitude of H ext. Information is obtained about the dependences of the critical fields of Josephson weak links H c2J , the lower critical fields of superconducting grains H c1A , and the critical fields H BG-VG of the Bragg glass-vortex glass phase transition in the vortex matter on transport current I, magnetic field, and the mutual orientation of I and H ext. It is found that the magnetoresistance δρ+273 K measured with increasing H ext is significantly higher than Δρ?273 K and that H c2J + < H c2J ? , H c1A + < H c1A ? , and H BG-VG + < H BG-VG ? .  相似文献

The electron spin resonance has been measured for the first time both in the paramagnetic phase of the metallic GdB6 antiferromagnet (TN = 15.5K) and in the antiferromagnetic state (T < TN). In the paramagnetic phase below T* ~ 70 K, the material is found to exhibit a pronounced increase in the resonance linewidth and a shift in the g-factor, which is proportional to the linewidth Δg(T) ~ ΔH(T). Such behavior is not characteristic of antiferromagnetic metals and seems to be due to the effects related to displacements of Gd3+ ions from the centrosymmetric positions in the boron cage. The transition to the antiferromagnetic phase is accompanied by an abrupt change in the position of resonance (from μ0H0 ≈ 1.9 T to μ0H0 ≈ 3.9 T at ν = 60 GHz), after which a smooth evolution of the spectrum occurs, resulting eventually in the formation of the spectrum consisting of four resonance lines. The magnetic field dependence of the frequency of the resonant modes ω0(H0) obtained in the range of 28–69 GHz is well interpreted within the model of ESR in an antiferromagnet with the easy anisotropy axis ω/γ = (H 0 2 +2HAHE)1/2, where HE is the exchange field and HA is the anisotropy field. This provides an estimate for the anisotropy field, HA ≈ 800 Oe. This value can result from the dipole?dipole interaction related to the mutual displacement of Gd3+ ions, which occurs at the antiferromagnetic transition.  相似文献

We experimentally determined the fraction of αv of lithium-like boron B2+ and nitrogen N4+ ions in the 4 P 5/2 state having a velocity of 3.6 au that are formed upon capture of two (α2) electrons by hydrogen-like B4+ and N6+ ions and upon capture of one (α1) electron by helium-like (1s2s)1,3 S metastable B3+ and N5+ ions in gaseous media (H2, He, N2, Ar), as well as upon passage through a celluloid film. In light-element media (H2, He), α2 increases proportional to the target thickness T g and reaches a maximum at T g ≈ 1016 atom/cm2 (for B ions, α2 ≈ 0.2 in H2 and α2 ≈ 0.4 in He). For boron and nitrogen ions passing through thin layers of heavier gases (N2, Ne), α2 depends considerably more weakly on T g , and, in Ar, becomes practically constant. It is assumed that, since hydrogen and helium do not contain electrons with parallel spins, autoionizing lithium-like ions are formed as a result of successive (one by one) capture of electrons, whereas, in the heavier gases, simultaneous capture of two electrons predominates. At T g ~ 1015 atom/cm2, the fraction α1 of boron ions is the highest in He, ~0.15, and the lowest in Ar, ~0.07, being in qualitative agreement with calculations.  相似文献

To further study the lithium ion transportation behavior of cathode material FeF3?·?0.33H2O/C synthesized by a simple one-step chemico-mechanical method, the Electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS) measured at series of open-circuit voltages were investigated in detail. The results showed that the EIS profiles of FeF3?·?0.33H2O/C materials were strongly potential dependent. The equivalent circuit parameters obtained by fitting the experimental data as a function of open-circuit voltage (OCV) level were depicted. The ohmic resistance R0, solid electrolyte inter-phase resistance R SEI, electronic conduction resistance R E, charge transfer resistance R R, and Q parameter of CPE circuit characteristic of Li+ diffusion Q diff all showed a sudden change at the OCV level 2.5 V. Ohmic resistance R0 had a relatively lower resistance of ca. 10 Ω above OCV level 2.5 V and a higher resistance of about 40 Ω below 2.5 V. Similar situation was also observed for R SEI, which was around 20 Ω above 2.5 V and soared up quickly when the equilibrium potential fell below 2.5 V. Similar variations were also observed for R E and R R. A high resistance of ca. 410 and 520 Ω was obtained at OCV level 2.05 V, respectively. Q diff showed a convex profile, which matched the variation of Li+ diffusion coefficient well.  相似文献

The potential of experiments at e + e ? colliders to search for a signal of a new pseudoscalar Higgs boson and to study its CP properties is analyzed. A new Higgs boson coupling to the b quark and τ lepton, which is parameterized in a model-independent way as m b /v(a + iγ5 b), is chosen to be an indicator of its CP nature. We study the e + e ? → τ+τ?vv, e + e ?b \(\bar b\)vv, and e + e ?e + e ? b \(\bar b\) processes highly sensitive to anomalous Higgs boson couplings due to the dominant contributions from the vector boson fusion processes W*W* → H and Z*Z* → H in the central region. It is shown that the study of polarization of particles in the final state could help to separate the contributions from the scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs bosons. For instance, the consideration of the cascade decays of τ leptons in the e + e ? → τ+τ?vv process allows one to determine reliably the CP state of the Higgs boson as well as the value and the sign of the b parameter. As a result of our analysis, we develop a search strategy for a signal of a new pseudoscalar Higgs boson in future experiments at linear e + e ? colliders, which will allow one to understand the CP nature of the Higgs boson and set the bounds on its couplings to fermions.  相似文献

Charge exchange and ionisation cross-sections were measured for the interaction of H+, H 2 + , D+ and D 2 + ions with H2 and D2 in the energy range 1.5–30 keV. In contrary to earlier measurements showing no isotope effect for a given ion velocity the results were as follows:

Very high efficiency of Raman scattering on samarium atoms in the process of three-photon ionization has been detected. An intense maximum attributed to the one-photon transition 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 → 4f 55d6s 2 7 D 3° between two excited states is observed in the dependence of the yield of Sm+ ions on the laser-radiation frequency. The 4f 65d6s 9 H 2 state is populated owing to the spontaneous Raman scattering 4f 66s 2 7 F 3 + ω ? ν → 4f 65d6s 9 H 2.  相似文献

We have found a possible example of the rare decayσ + →nΜ + Ν, which violatesδS=δQ. The positive decay track of theσ + comes to rest in the hydrogen bubble chamber and decays into ane +. This track has all the characteristics of a stoppingΜ +. The decay neutron fortuitously scatters twice, producing two recoil protons. The only other possible interpretation of the event isσ +nγ(π + →Μ + Ν), where theπ + →Μ + Ν decay produces no deflection (θ<0.1 rad) and no significant change in curvature. Using thep-wave radiative decay predictions ofBarshay et al. we calculate that the integrated branching ratio for such “accidental” events isγ(σ + →nγ(π + →Μ stop + Ν))/γ(σ + →nπ +)=1.6×10?6. Most of the contribution to this “accidental” branching ratio comes from radiative decays where theπ + mesons have ranges less than 1 mm (p π<20 MeV/c). If one excludes thoseΜ's with ranges less than 1.2 cm the above “accidental” branching ratio becomes 5.5×10?7. With this figure we estimate that we should have seen 6.5×10?2 events of this type thusfar in our experiment. The neutron momentum does not help in deciding between the two hypotheses. We therefore assign a confidence level of 7% for the radiative hypothesis. For the leptonic hypothesis we obtain an estimate of the branching ratio,γ(σ + →nΜ + Ν)/γ(σ + →nπ +)=5×10?5. If one further accepts theσ + →nπ + Ν event reported byBarbaro-Galtieri et al. and theσ + →ne + Ν event reported byNauenberg et al., one obtains theδS=?δQ leptonic branching ratio [γ(σ + →nΜ + Ν)+γ(σ + →ne + Ν)]/γ(σ + →nπ +)=(4±3)×10?5.  相似文献

It is shown how several discrepancies in the optical hfs of the Eu can be understood as consequences of the exchange polarization of the inner and outers-electrons by the spin of the half filled (4f 7)-subshell, an effect which should produce additional magnetic fields at the nucleus. Thus from the two different values of the electronic splitting constanta 6s in the two Eu-II ground states the polarization field from the 6s-shell (Δ H 6s ) is determined to be ca. +260 KG, and the formal splitting constantσ (??3 mK) of the (4f 7)-subshell yields ca. ?350 KG for the fieldΔ H (1?5) from the five innern s-shells (n=1?5) in good agreement with the strength of the inner field obtained from recent Mössbauer effect studies.Δ H (1?5) is deduced to be approximately equal in all sufficiently analysed ground and excited configurations of the neutral and ionised Eu atom ((4f 7) 6s, 6p, 5d, 6s 2 and 6s 6p). Other elements with half filled subshells (Am, Mn) show similar features in their optical hfs. For Am+ ((5f 7) 7s) ca. ?2200 KG are found for the inner field (Δ H (1?6)). For several 3d-elements it was found that the agreement between the calculated polarization fields and those following from experimental results is better than assumed so far.  相似文献

Attention is paid to the production mechanisms of light scalars that reveal their nature. We reveal the chiral shielding of the σ(600) meson. We show that the kaon loop mechanism of the ? radiative decays, ratified by experiment, is four-quark transition and points to the four-quark nature of light scalars. We show also that the light scalars are produced in the two photon collisions via four-quark transitions in contrast to the classic P wave tensor qq? mesons that are produced via two-quark transitions γγ → qq?. We study the mechanism of production of the light scalar mesons in the D s + → π+π? e +ν decays: D s + ss?e +ν → [σ(600) + f 0(980)]e +ν → π+π? e +ν, and compare it with the mechanism of production of the light pseudoscalar mesons in the D s + → (η/η′)e +ν decays: D s + ss?e +ν → (η/η′)e +ν. As a result we find support to four-quark nature of light scalars. In the end, we outline the future research program.  相似文献

Rotational temperatures have been determined from the intensities of the vacuum ultraviolet H2(2p 1 Π u →1s 1 Σ g + ) emission lines, excited by 15 keV electron impact. Their experimental values for the unperturbed 2p 1 Π d rotationallevels verify theoretical predictions, and show that the fast electron impact populates 2p 1 Π d out of the ground state byΔJ=0, analogous to the valid optical selection rule.  相似文献

The stability of X+Y+X?Y? Coulomb molecules consisting of X+Y? atoms and X?Y+ antiatoms to dissociation is studied. On the basis of multiparameter variational calculations, it is found that such molecules are stable to dissociation into X+X? atoms and Y+Y? antiatoms if the mass ratio of particles X and Y lies in the range 0.4710<m X /m Y <2.1231. The e+e+e?e?, π+μ+π?μ?, t+d+t?d?, p+K+p?K?, and d+p+d?p? molecules satisfy this condition.  相似文献

The anomalous character of threshold properties in the ion-molecule reactions H 2 + + H 2 + → H 3 + + p and H 2 + + H 2 + → H + p + H + p has been theoretically analyzed. It has been shown that these reactions proceed through the formation of the intermediate H 4 ++ complex. Molecules H 2 + in the collision process are described by a chemical model, where the positive charge is concentrated in one of the nuclei. The calculations of the reaction cross sections are in good agreement with the experimental data. It has been shown that the chemical model of the H 2 + molecule can be consistently explained only in terms of dynamic interactions, i.e., polarization forces and van der Waals forces.  相似文献

The hyperfine-structure spectra of the 14.4 keVγ-ray of the nucleus57Fe in the spinel type ferrite (Li 05 + Fe 1.3 3+ Cr 1.2 3+ O 4 2? ) have been measured through the use of the Mößbauer effect. These measurements were performed on powder samples at different temperatures between 88 °K and 633 °K. For the Fe3+ ions at both the tetrahedral (A) and octahedral (B) sites at 88 °K the effective magnetic fieldH at the Fe nuclei is the same and equal to 504±4 kG. The temperature dependence ofH A however is different fromH B . Application of an external magnetic field of 20 kG shows that the sign ofH A is positive and the sign ofH B is negative. As the temperature is increased a considerable broadening of the magnetic hfs-lines (and especially of the outer pair of lines) is observed. No theoretical discussion directly applicable to these measurements is as yet available. In the paramagnetic phase a well resolved doublet is obtained. It appears that this doublet must be interpreted as a quadrupole splitting.  相似文献

The critical magnetic fields H c and H c2 are measured for thin films of the isotropic superconductor NbC. It is revealed that the critical fields exhibit strong anisotropy due to the vortex-free state of the film in a magnetic field aligned parallel to its surface. The H c/H c2 ratio at 2 K exceeds 6 and increases with increasing temperature. The dependence H c(T) agrees quantitatively with the concepts of microscopic theory on the vortex-free state of a thin film of a clean superconductor in the temperature range below T c . As the electron mean free path decreases under irradiation of the film with a low dose of He+ ions, the critical field H c remains unchanged near T c but increases significantly at lower temperatures. The well-known theoretical models are used to estimate the electronic parameters and thicknesses of MgB2 films for which the specific features associated with the vortex-free state of the two-gap superconductor can manifest themselves in the temperature dependence of the critical magnetic field H c(T).  相似文献
