针对二聚物三能级蒸气激光系统增益相对于泵浦光方向显著的不对称特性,本文设计了一种稳定的能够充分利用介质增益特性的环形谐振腔,给出了象散和慧差补偿及泵浦激光与谐振腔匹配的条件。文中还给出了Na_2B~1Ⅱ_u-X~1∑_g~+跃迁激光谐振腔设计数据。  相似文献

We report an efficient Ho:YAG laser end pumped by Tm:YLF lasers with double-pass pumping. We achieve the maximum continuous wave (CW) output power of 46.0 W with a single-pass pumping and 50.2 W with a double-pass pumping, corresponding to a slope efficiency of 58.0% and 62.8%, respectively. In addition, we use the Ho:YAG laser as a pumping source of the ZnGeP3 optical parametric oscillator (OPO) and obtain the maximum average output power of 14.2 W with a linear cavity and 17.0 W with a ring resonator, respectively.  相似文献

The design and operation of a novel optically pumped molecular gas laser cell, which uses geometrical coupling and is compatible with high energy unstable resonator CO2 laser pump beams, is described. The attainment of high energy output densities (>0.5Je?1>-1) from the 12.08 μm and 12.81 μm NH3 laser transitions using this pumping arrangement is reported.  相似文献

A relation between the far field divergence angle of a laser output beam and the elements of the laser resonator matrix is derived. This relation is applied to the resonator matrix of directly coated laser rods and yields an expression for the far field angle θm of the output beam in terms of the pump light induced refractive power D of the rod. By means of this expression D versus the average pumping power is calculated from the experimental values of θm for several laser rods and is found to be in good agreement with previously published values.  相似文献

In this paper, a continuous-wave (CW) diode-side-pumped Nd:YAlO3 (Nd:YAP) laser operating at the weak line of 1339 nm has been achieved and investigated. The output of the 1339 nm laser was realized based on the polarization selection and reasonable transmittance design. The relationship between the output powers and resonator lengths of the 1339 nm Nd:YAP laser has been studied and the optimum resonator length was adopted to improve the output power. As high as 31.3 W output power of the a-axis polarized 1339 nm laser has been obtained at the pumping power of 555 W with the optical-optical and slope efficiencies to be 5.6% and 13%, respectively. This work will provide an effective way to obtain the weak line lasers for potential applications in spectroscopy, coherent terahertz generation, etc.  相似文献

Extremely stable and self-starting operation of a self-mode-locked Ti:Al2O3 laser can be achieved by incorporating a jet of dilute saturable absorber in the laser resonator. We have demonstrated a laser which generates pulses as short as 47 fs, with 700 mW average power near 800 nm when pumped by 7 W from an all-lines argon laser. A mixture of saturable absorber dyes starts the mode-locking process but does not restrict the tuning range of the laser. Pulses less than 100 fs in duration are generated at wavelengths between 700 nm and 900 nm with two sets of optics. Pulses of 100 fs from this laser have been compressed to 26 fs with standard fibre-prism techniques.  相似文献

本文讨论了激光谐振腔的稳定调节系统.对失调的激光谐振腔的输出光斑进行图象处理,检测出光斑的内外圆环的边缘,然后用曲线拟合的方法得到内外圆环的几何中心坐标,计算出光斑的能量偏移和位置偏移.运用几何光学和衍射光学的有关知识,推导出激光谐振腔镜的倾斜角和光斑偏移量的关系,利用这个关系来实时调节谐振腔,使谐振腔准直.我们做了大量的实验证明这种方法是切实可行的.  相似文献

Numerical simulation of self-modulation lasing regimes has been carried out for a CO2 laser with transverse flow of the active medium through an unstable resonator with inhomogeneous internal pumping. Two types of steady-state self-modulation oscillation differing in the feedback mechanism were observed. The type of lasing regime and the conditions of its realization depend both upon the pumping profile and upon the composition and pressure of the working mixture, which makes it generally possible to control temporal characteristics of lasing.  相似文献

抽运光源是光纤拉曼放大器应用于密集波分复用系统的关键技术,设计了一种紧凑型的808nm激光二极管抽运的基于钒酸钇(Nd^3+:YVO4)晶体1342nm固体激光器模块,提出利用上述1342nm固体激光器抽运基于光纤光栅的单级全光纤型拉曼谐振器获得1.4μm激光输出的光纤拉曼激光器,分析了固体激光器的阈值特性、性能优化方法和单级光纤拉曼谐振器的设计方法。上述1342nm固体激光器模块在抽运功率2W时获得了最大655mW的激光输出功率和42.6%的斜率效率,单级拉曼谐振器的1342nm到1.4μm光功率转换斜率效率达75%,在1425nm、1438nm、1455nm和1490nm处的输出功率达到300mW以上。最后给出基于1.4μm光纤拉曼激光器抽运的宽带平坦放大的光纤拉曼放大器的结构参量和性能测试结果。  相似文献

利用几何光学的方法对固体激光器中Zig-Zag板条介质的结构设计进行了分析。具体分析了Zig-Zag板条端面切割角的选取方法。对于Nd:YAG增益介质,采用31°切割角的板条具有较高的效率,且便于加工和镀膜。以端面31°切割角的板条为例,分析了板条各几何尺寸的设计方法。Zig-Zag板条的宽度、厚度和长度等参数需充分考虑与半导体泵浦模块的匹配以得到最佳设计。  相似文献

The use of an optimised configuration on a commercial CO2 laser pumping a suitable far infrared (FIR) resonator allowed the observation of several millimetre FIR pulsed emissions in three different gases (NH3, CH3I, CH3Br). Some of these emissions were observed for the first time. In all cases, the measured efficiencies were improved in comparison to the values presented in previous works.  相似文献

For maximizing TEM00 solar laser power, a modified light guide assembly-elliptical cavity pumping approach is proposed. By observing refractive and total internal reflection principles, highly concentrated solar radiations from a primary parabolic mirror are firstly collected by a near-hexagonal input face and then transmitted, at low propagation angles, to a near-rectangular output end of the modified assembly. A sharp elliptical pump cavity with an intervening optics is utilized to further couple and concentrate the radiations from the assembly to a thin Nd:YAG rod. Optimum pumping parameters are found through ZEMAX? non-sequential ray-tracing and LASCAD? laser cavity analysis. Compared with the output performances of the parallel-packed light guide assembly-elliptical-cylindrical cavity, 45% increase in TEM00, 10% in multimode solar laser powers are attained by the proposed approach. Experimental results on both the enhanced transmission efficiency of the assembly and the improved focusing capacity of the elliptical cavity with are finally provided.  相似文献

We report the cw laser emission of Ho: YLF in an astigmatically compensated resonator under pumping by a laser diode array. We measured the laser efficiency at different operating temperatures of the crystal and the non-saturated gain coefficient at the peak wavelength of laser emission. Twenty-four new submillimeter laser lines in fully deuterated methyl alcohol (CD3OD) in the wavelength range from 52 to 328 m have been obtained in a Fabry-Perot FIR resonator by optically pumping the methanol with a cw CO2 laser. We have made accurate wavelength measurements and have determined the relative polarization of most of the known CD3OD laser lines. A stable resonator incorporating a suitably adjusted telescope gives reliable operation of an Nd:YAG laser with a large-volume TEM00 mode. The telescope adjustment is chosen to minimize the effect of focal length variations in the laser rod and at the same time ensures the optimum mode-selection properties of a confocal resonator. Simple approximations applied to the ray transfer matrices allow a detailed analysis of the resonator to be performed. This analysis yields simple design equations relating the mode spot sizes, resonator length, telescope magnification and defocusing, and diffraction losses. Experimental results show excellent agreement with the results of this analysis.  相似文献

The energetic, spectral, and time characteristics of a high pressure CO2 laser at high pumping level are studied. It is shown that in the free generation regime high power radiation pulses R~ 10–8 sec in duration with a multifrequency spectrum can be obtained.
