The present paper introduces a kind of Kantorovich type Shepard operators. Complete results including direct and converse results, equivalence results are established. In a recent paper [1] the author, along with H. Gonska, introduced some wavelet type integral operators over the whole real line and studied their properties such as shift-invariance, global smoothness preservation, convergence to the unit, and preservation of probability distribution functions. These operators are very general and they are introduced through a convolution-like iteration of another general operator with a scaling type function. In this paper the author provides sufficient conditions, so that the derivatives of the above operators enjoy the same nice properties as their originals. A sufficient condition is also given so that the “global smoothness preservation” related inequality becomes sharp. At the end several applications are given, where the derivatives of the very general specialized operators are shown to fulfill all the above properties. In particular it is shown that they preserve continuous probability density functions.  相似文献

We characterize the directional derivatives of multidimensional Bernstein operators by a new measure of smoothness. This task is carried out by means of establishing the relation between the asymptotic behavior of the derivatives and the smoothness of the functions they approximate. For the tensor product of k copies of the same one-dimensional Bernstein-type operator L, we consider the problem of finding the best constant in preservation of the usual modulus of continuity for the lp-norm on Rk. Two main results are obtained: the first one gives both necessary and sufficient conditions in order that 1+k1−1/p is the best uniform constant for a single operator; the second one gives sufficient conditions in order that 1+k1−1/p is the best uniform constant for a family of operators. The general results are applied to several classical families of operators usually considered in approximation theory. Throughout the paper, probabilistic concepts and methods play an important role.  相似文献

The objective of this paper is to give an interrelation between Hankel oeprators on the unit disc and Hankel operators on the half-plane. As an application, the AAK result on the half-plane is established and the rate of best Hankel approximation on the halfplane is derived. There are, by now, many results which guarantee that positive operators on Banach lattices have non-trivial closed invariant sublattices. In particular, this is true for every positive compact operator. Apart from some results of a general nature, in this paper we present several examples of positive operators on Banach lattices which do not have non-trivial closed invariant sublattices. These examples include both AM-spaces and Banach lattices with an order continuous norm and which are and are not atomic. In this paper, we study positive Toeplitz operators on the Bergman space via their Berezin transforms. Surprisingly we show that the positivity of a Toeplitz operator on the Bergman space is not completely determined by the positivity of the Berezin transform of its symbol. In fact, we show that even if the minimal value of the Berezin transform of a quadratic polynomial of |z||z| on the unit disk is positive, the Toeplitz operator with the function as the symbol may not be positive.  相似文献
